"I don't see us ever moving pass this." Christine glances over to the love of her life, taking in how devastated he looks.

"I don't want to leave," he says firmly, eyes searching her own and she smiles warmly, even if her heart breaks.

"I know, darling." Spectre shakes his head, wrapping his arms around her waist and hiding his face in her soft hair.

"I've got to get out of here, babe. They need me." He's trying to explain himself, when they both know he doesn't need to. Christine pulls away, and he makes a noise, letting himself be vulnerable. He takes her hand, gently, and raises it to his mouth, pressing a soft kiss to the back of her hand.

"I love you, Christy. But it's not my time."

Christine nods, tears trailing down her face. "I know, baby. I know. I love you, and we will meet again one day. Go, go back to your life. Protect Leon for me."

Spectre nods, closing his eyes and making his decision.

"Spectre? Spectre?" He opens his eyes, and is met with the concerned faces of his teammates– his friends.

"Oh god, Sam. You're okay." Leni wraps him into a warm embrace and Spectre holds onto her. He sees Leon looking at him, the light in his eyes such a faded glow. He's losing hope, he's losing his humanity.

"Protect Leon for me."

Spectre gestures with his hand, and Leon hesitates before crawling over and tucking himself against Spectre, a broken sob shaking his whole body.

"Don't leave us, Sam. Please." Leon whimpers and Spectre shushes him gently, holding him and Leni tight.

"I'm not leaving. I'm not going anywhere."

took a break from watching Torchwood cos i got distracted by other things and in that time I created my own image of what Owen is like/could be and reached a point where I was almost liking him/excited to see him again when i started watching more of the show. But no. He is still unlikeable. Looking forward to character development.
