my current main fandom is dungeon meshi, and my main ship for that is chilaios. I'm caught up on the anime and have read the manga; my spoiler tags are #dunmeshi spoilers (for general major story spoilers and things the anime hasn't gotten to yet) and #dunmeshi anime spoilers (for details specific to new or imminently upcoming anime episodes). my posts about dunmeshi have been sparse lately, and i'm mostly into shared OC worlds right now, but don't be surprised if i swing back in at random (or when season 2 drops).

some other fandoms you may see from time to time are the legend of zelda, persona (mostly 4 and 5), fall out boy, gravity falls, cult of the lamb, star trek (mostly tos and lower decks), dragon age, and a random collection of others I'm also into. Strengths: Can transform at will, can outrun any human in wolf form, stronger than any normal human in wolf form, enhanced hearing and sense of smell. 

Weaknesses: Can be hurt or killed by silver, wolfsbane will force him to reveal some werewolf features. 

Transformations: Can transform at will, but will always transform on the full moon. Silver can prevent transformations anytime except the full moon. As they’re very painful and take huge amounts of energy, there’s a limit per day. 

Temperament: Very feral , even in human form. On full moons he is completely driven by instinct and is very aggressive but other times he’s in wolf form it’s more 50/50.

Appearance in wolf form: From a distance he looks like a big wolf, including walking on all fours. His proportions and face are unsettling if you look closer, as they don’t match a normal wolf’s. 

Lifespan: Longer lived, with some werewolves making it to 200- 300 years old. 

Diet: Needs a significant amount of meat (preferring human in wolf form). Eats raw meat, even in ‘human’ form.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 289,964

3. What fandoms do you write for? Whatever catches my fancy. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has the most fics (8), but my most recent fic was for Black Widow.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Family First- a Coco fic, the first multichap I ever finished, I think. An AU where Victoria stole the guitar when she was a child and she and Elena got stuck in the Land of the Dead.

Sick of Waiting for a Miracle- angsty Encanto! My take of Mirabel growing resentful instead of desperate, and the family falling apart a lot harder. Happy ending though because I am who I am.

Patching Up- post-Incredibles 2 fic of Bob and Helen patching each other up (hence the name). Short fluff I am astonished was my third most kudos-ed fic.

From the Hands of the Weak- Black Widow AU where Alexei and Melina take Natasha and Yelena and run.

Tia Victoria one-shots- Listen. My Coco phase was strong. And I did not have standards yet, so I posted whatever came into my mind. Most of these are about her tragic death. Unfinished, or it would have made "angstiest"

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! I love responding to comments, especially to follow up on whatever the commenter found interesting.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I had to go back through my AO3 because no matter how much I put my little guys through, I usually like a happy ending. Technically it would be 5 Times Una Talked Chris Into a Breakup and 1 Time She Didn't. But that's part of a series that had a happy ending, so. I am redeemed.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'll go with The World That Lives In You. I always write with a happy ending in mind, even if I don't finish it, but I picked this one because it ends with a domestic little scene of a traumatized family being cute and well-adjusted together.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not that I have seen.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I have, not a lot though. I have a little series where I put the Incredibles in the Harry Potter universe. The Incredibles were Aurors and you can't change my mind was a fun time when I was very into Incredibles 2.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Once, allegedly by accident.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I don't think so.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? When I first started writing and posting fic, I had an enormous DS9 fic all planned out. It was going to span 20+ years, introduce so many OCs, and center around Kira Nerys, my OBSESSION for a long time. I posted maybe 4 chapters. RIP.

16. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue and cute little moments.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I get bogged down in details and lose sight of the long game. OR if my intention is to make a little moment stretch, it lasts two sentences. There is no in between.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I will do one or two words at a time, maybe a sentence if I can pull it directly from the source material and I know what it means and the context.

19. First fandom you wrote for? NCIS.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? oof oof oof. Great question. I have plenty that I go back and read just for fun. The one I'm proudest of right now is Discipline, Diligence, and Learning to Fly. My favorites to read are And the Time Eve Collected Human Beings Like Shiny Rocks and Keep Us Connected.

Do any of your OCs use neopronouns? Which ones?

Thinking through my current works, I don’t think I have any active OCs who do, although I have a few who use any pronouns and would be chill with neos, like Astrilla (who I haven’t talked about, she’s a trainwreck of a shapeshifter /affectionate). I should add more!

I have a couple older OCs who do as well. There was a character in the (very bad) novel I wrote in high school named Falcon who used she/her, he/him, or xe/hir depending on the day (xe was genderfluid). I think I’ve also had a few Star Trek OCs who used them.

Do you prefer to give your OCs specific labels or keep it unspecified? Why? If applicable, do you change their labels based on circumstances?

Genders I usually choose very on in the OC creation process, although I keep it on the vaguer side (cis or trans, what pronouns they use). Sexuality I usually leave open unless I have a reason to pick it early (like I knew I wanted Belladonna to be a lesbian and have her struggle with that when I created her). I’ll usually leave it open and see who they have chemistry with before I settle on their sexuality. I’d say I’m almost 100% on giving gender labels, although sometimes they’re vague, and about 50/50 on labeling sexualities vs just “they’ve shown interest in these gender(s).” Once I’ve picked a label (if I do) it’s usually set, but not always. The characters also don’t always express their labels explicitly - like Julian is bigender, I know that, but they don’t really say that usually, they’re just there :)

Hello! I have been RPing for roughly 14 years, and recently came back from a long hiatus. I'm looking for some OC RPs with other adults! I live in CST and can typically reply several times a day.

Some of my interests include maritime history, vampires, and new wave/goth music, and science fiction (star trek!) so if you want to explore any of these things in our RP, that'd be great!

I am trans, bigender and bisexual, and I write most of my characters as LGBT in some way. I'm 25 and use he/they/it pronouns.

about my RP:

In many aspects I like to meet my partner where they're at, so I am flexible on a lot of these things. I prefer to do multipara, well thought out replies that focus on quality over quantity. I won't go down to less than a couple paragraph typically, unless my partner does for rapid fire dialogue type scenarios. I can go up to a couple discord messages worth of writing, although I prefer to only go long if there's good substance to it!

I exclusively RP OCs, mostly fandomless, of many genders and sexualities. I tend to use written or drawn FCs, but will use IRL ones if that's my partners preference.

NSFW is okay, but I want to focus a lot on plot too! I have a lot of kinky characters, but we'll have to discuss limits privately.

- Character A is a vampire. Character B has always wanted to be one, and is trying to convince A to change them. The only problem is, A is a bad vampire, and doesn't know how to change them.

- Character A is a vampire. Character B is a human, with the most delicious blood A has ever tasted. Now B has a problem - A can't get enough of them.

- A is a line cook, B a waiter. One night it's just the two of them closing the restaurant together, when they come across a slight problem: The world outside the restaurant seems to have ceased to exist.

Why did you go and create an OC love interest for Khan when the USS Vengeance is RIGHT THERE?!

Hmmmm...I'm a little confused by your reference to the Vengeance in relation to my OC. Unless you mean to say that the ship itself should be his beloved?

But anyway...

I've always written OCs paired with canon characters in my fics. It's my true wheelhouse. Maybe because creating them satisfies that same artistic urge that always led me to build complex biographies for the characters I played in my (now ancient) Acting days. And I adore fashioning women to meet the emotional needs of canon characters who I perceive are in want of understanding, compassion, and love.

'A Khan By Any Other Name' is a prequel to 'Star Trek Into Darkness', inspired by this photo of Benedict Cumberbatch, taken for GQ Magazine leading up to the movie's release.

It fired my imagination to tell the story that reflects the complex, fascinating Khan that Benedict created, who is so much more than a black & white villain. So much more than the 300 year old, brilliant, brutal warrior he is revealed to be. My OC is a means to see a tender side to this man who values his family above all things - and also a chance to give him a backstory that can help us see what formed him into a man who feels all things deeply (even while he conceals himself behind a mask of dispassion), exactly as Benedict portrayed him.

'Man of Passion, Force of Nature' grew out of a tumblr prompt (specifically asking for an OC) and takes place during Khan's reign on Earth as leader of the Augments, during the war that eventually led to he and his people being exiled to deep space aboard the Botany Bay.

Wow - I have to thank you for this Ask, because it feels really good to revisit these two WIPs after too long away! I swear someday they will be finished. In fact, I've already written the end and epilogue for 'Khan' in my mind, though so much of life has gotten in the way of painting the words on my computer screen.

i’d recommend either my latest fic buy back the secrets (especially for dc/batfam) because it’s a longfic with a lot of my fav tropes! my second rec would be my first mdzs/cql fic this river runs to you, because it’s a complete longfic that also has a lot of my fav tropes to write (misunderstandings! slow burn! self-sacrificing lonely characters!) in a self-contained story.

5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [insert fic]? Answer it now!

i wish someone would ask “is there actually something going on with superbat in the background of buy back the secrets” to which i would respond: yes, something’s Going On and has been for years and will be for eternity, yes, lois is there, yes, everyone’s currently happy with whatever arrangement they’ve arranged, and yes ghost-maker is an on-again-off-again presence in bruce’s life too. bruce has many hands. tim is aware of all of this and does NOT think about it unless he needs to use it against bruce to make a point.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

in the second chapter of fey and my wangxian star trek au there’s a scene where wei ying and lan zhan chat at the academy as the lead-in to one of the flashbacks. “procyon crystals” are something i wholesale pulled out of my ass but i was really proud of this little exchange—its purpose was to get the characters from point a to point b (the chem lab ➡️ the bus stop, and also from not chatting ➡️ chatting about something), and not only did i ultimately like how this dialogue about rocks quickly illustrated both of their fields of study/interests in the academy days, it also ended up being a wink to the larger plot (misunderstanding via rock).

“Lan Zhan!” Wei Ying had called down the hall, delighted, and pretty much expected Lan Zhan to nod and keep walking. Instead Lan Zhan actually slowed to let Wei Ying catch up, tugging on a pair of soft-looking gloves as he waited. “It’s pretty late for you, isn’t it? Everything okay?”   Lan Zhan glanced up at him for a moment, expression placid. “Procyon crystals,” he said by way of explanation.   “Ahh,” We Ying said. “And they only grow at night, is that why? I’ve always wondered about that! Well, I’ve wondered since I read an article about them in one of those kiddie science journals Jiang Cheng used to get. How they know it’s night, no matter what planet they’re on. I remember the article said even if it’s pitch black, the crystals can’t be tricked.”   “They cannot,” Lan Zhan confirmed with what sounded like the tiniest edge of irritation, like the crystals’ refusal to be tricked was personally offensive. Wei Ying’s delight only grew, and he told himself not to laugh.   “Everyone thinks space is the greatest mystery in the universe, but clearly it’s rocks,” Wei Ying said, pushing through the door and into a blast of cold. He paused, holding the door open behind him so Lan Zhan could finish putting on his gloves. “But if you figure out their secret you have to tell me, okay? You have to promise.”

11. Are you partial to a certain character/pairing or are you more equal-opportunity? If you are partial to any character/pairing, why do you think that is?

for most fandoms i tend to have pairings i like and stick with reading. dc has actually been fun for me in that regard because i’m much more open to multiple pairings with the same character. like, i’m partial to timkon, but could totally be compelled by timber (timbern…?) and timsteph at the same time. i’m partial to superbat but also extremely here for ghostbat, which is fun because it’s a whole different flavor. i like dick/babs and dick/kory and dick/blue the OC bf. i think it’s because for the most part what compels me in the dc/batfam space are the found family dynamics so shipping is often secondary, or in conjunction with other relationships i care about, so i end up happy as long as the characters and their dynamics are written in a way i like.

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

i used to dislike established relationship fics, because i always want to read the getting together part—but now i find myself more compelled by the idea than i used to be! i’ll totally read established relationship fics, especially when they’re silly.

34. What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?

not a whole a lot, really! i have occasionally used bits of knowledge/insight from my current or past jobs to fill out some modern au scenes, but nothing that couldn’t be researched anyway. otherwise beyond some minor details i don’t tend to draw from my own life/relationships for fic. and considering what i sometimes put characters through, thank goodness for that.

—i think about this scene all the time!! the way this is such a succinct, mic-drop moment that made me go “oh shit” out loud and fit perfectly in the scene even while tim’s pov has been doing the mental equivalent of spinning a dozen plates—it’s so good.

—obviously this is one of my Fics Of All Time but the thing that blows me away every time i read it is the setup and payoff of it all. how what seems like a little kidnap-and-rescue plot is actually slowly laying the detailwork foundation that will absolutely devastate you. how, when you reach the end and look back, a certain verb in the exchange above takes on extra meaning. how this isn’t the only instance like that and every single sentence is so intentionally crafted that it’s almost twice as good on the reread, and the initial read is already incredible. it’s a short fic that leaves you breathless both for the plot and for the craft of it. man. anyway. if they caught you by feyburner huh

i’ve been thinking about my friends’ OCBFEU (OC boyfriend extended universe) where dick has a tall gentle deadly ex-talon from another universe (blue) quietly following him around and jason is engaged in identity shenanigans with the schoolteacher-in-training (santi) who lives in jason’s apartment building and also keeps having run-ins with red hood. we have a whole general timeline/continuity in our heads and at one point jason and santi are out at a club and jason is trying to have a night off for fucking once and then they run into? tim?? who is definitely not old enough to be there, and jason is pissed thinking tim’s following him around (which, fair, tbh) until he and santi realize tim is in fact having a miserable time and there for miserable reasons. so jason and santi end up taking tim back to santi’s place and making tim drink water and santi gets tim to half-explain what he was doing and then jason gets to go beat someone up about it. this will get way too long if i keep going but i’ve been pondering this particular sequence in a continuity that only like six people are aware of soooooo much and i love it

21. Who is/are your favourite character(s) to write?

MY OCS ATM. AND THE VERSIONS OF EVERYONE FOR MY STAR TREK AU. I put a lot of effort into them and making them feel real and understandable within their story!

Harland is super fun to write cause it's a chance to explore a world and characters I love while being respectful of the canon of the game, but seeing what aspects I can go further into with Harland. And all the snippets of Abe and Orc I've started writing is just AUGHHH THEY'RE COMING ALIVE!!!!

Magland... Abe and Orc...... There's some I want to write, like Leon x Ada or Hylink (again.... Sigh....) that I think I'll have fun with. I just like writing pairings that have interesting dynamics or bounce off each other in silly ways

Ahhh man. It's hard to say cause I feel like I haven't read anything consistently enough lately to say for sure. I can say when I was younger I really loved CS Lewis and as a teen I really enjoyed what little I'd read by Niel Shusterman, and maybe throw in Adachitoka for good measure

SCI-FI / THRILLER ALL THE WAYYYYY BABBBEEEYYY

I like other stuff like fantasy and drama and whatever too ofc but like. NOTHING QUITE SCRATCHES THE ITCH LIKE THESE TWO, ESP IF THEY'RE A PAIR.

Sci-fi is soooo broad and fun, it's interesting when it's low concept or high concept and I like that it's so easy to inject philosophical dilemmas into the bones of the story and leave you thinking, and I like how interesting it is when you can draw parallels to current life (it's especially interesting seeing retro future sorta stories, both the fun aesthetics of 90s shit but also just seeing what people thought the scientific advances could be the further back you go, and seeing things that used to be sci-fi become just sci)

AND THRILLERRRRS.... I find them more interesting and scary than horror, though I've often been mistaken for a horror head even tho I feel like I don't watch horror that much... (Unless it's overlapped with thriller I guess lol) Idk I just find that the kind of stories you can tell when you drag out the tension and let the scares settle in to the atmosphere instead of demanding attention front and centre affect me more. I like when there's some kind of conspiracy or danger to work around and it gets more horrific with worse implications the further you claw into it. I want the fear to linger in my mind instead of only speaking to my body (think like how a jump scare isn't really scary other than startling you, vs something that actually unnerves you and gets worse the more you think about it)

I guess all that to say. I like thinking about things and want the story to haunt me with everything it's got. I want to still be thinking about it years later cause there was something in there that lingered....

"A friend to both sides of the war." He swatted Harlands hair from his shoulder, watching it fall as he avoided eye contact. "A pacifist whose work has made weapons."

Harland opened his mouth to defend himself, but flea dragged his finger across his chest. Harland couldn't help but get distracted as the general's nail tugged at his collar.

"I don't make weapons." He said, unable to hide the slight waver in his voice.

Flea pouted at him condescendingly. "You may not make them, but would they exist without you?"

Harland clenched his jaw.

"Even when you fight-"

"I don't fight." Harland interrupted.

"EVEN WHEN YOU FIGHT," Flea continued, "you are offensively defensive."

Flea smiled, enjoying Harland struggling to keep himself composed. He stood in front of him, tracing his jawline. "What a contradictory mess of a man…”

30. Favourite idea you haven’t started on yet

Oh man there's so much. I will say it's my screenplay, Misled Millionaire, that was an integral part to making me wanna study film. I've planned so much without it feeling ready and I knew I needed to learn more to do the idea justice, and I still have hand written notes from 2019 that I kept, and even found the original quick note I wrote in my phone all the way back when I just had it as a silly little idea:

Reclusive millionaire searching for new life purpose, unlikely friendship with a fake psychic.

The story has changed quite a bit, but the gist of it is that a younger entrepreneur type is feeling lost and lacking despite ticking off so many boxes that should mean he's successful and happy. While he tries to find himself, he grows dependant on his new friendship with a little old lady who gives him fortunes, until one day he can't find her when he really needs her. When I've made progress on other stories, I'll write the screenplay and hopefully direct it myself! So no stealing my ideas!!

So I thought of you the other day…my husband is in a Star Trek writing group and he does a lot of image manips for people with OCs…turning people into Bajorans and Trills, etc. He used to excitedly tell me every request he got, but it’s old hat now, so I don’t get the scoop unless he does one he’s especially proud of. The other day I was working and I hear him grumbling from the other room, “fuck, are they serious?” So I come in and he’s like “I cannot make this dude look real, am I crazy??” I went over and looked…someone requested Timmy Chalamet as a face claim and it ruined his life for like, a week.

Who is your oldest blorbo and your newest blorbo? How do you think they would be around each other and how would they handle the others universe? If you have ocs, the same questions plus how would your blorbos and your ocs be around each other?

Thanks for the ask! I am an old, so I had to think a bit about this one.

My oldest blorbo has gotta be B'Elanna Torres, Chief Engineer of the Federation Starship Voyager. The first scribbled fanfics in my diary featured her, along with some truly aggressive arguments with people who were Wrong About Her On The Internet. They incensed me at the time, though I now only vaguely recall their occurrence.

My current blorbo is, of course, Wei Wuxian, sometimes called The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. You can put that boy in so many Situations.

And gosh I think they'd like each other. Not at first. First they would get into a fight. They're both pretty quick on the draw. Not sure if it would be physical or a screaming match. Even odds on both, but I'd like to see them throw hands. Wei Wuxian's skilled martial arts matches well against half-Klingon strength and Maquis tactics.

Five minutes in, Wei Wuxian realizes that B'Elanna's tsundere rudeness comes from exactly the same place as Jiang Cheng's. He cracks a joke. B'Elanna smiles in her reluctant way, shakes her head, and actually talks through the next exchange of blows. Once they're talking, they realize they both happen to be super geniuses and good people. They stop fighting and get on with resolving whatever spacetime rupture brought them together.

If they were together in the Star Trek future, Wei Wuxian would love it. I am so sure he'd pick up physics and engineering as easily as he masters talismans and inventing. Frankly, a lot of his crafty tricks boil down to good, old fashioned tool using. Imagine what he could do with B'Elanna's tools.

On the other side of the wormhole, if B'Elanna wound up in the Cultivation World she would loathe it. Not just in the usual way that a person from a high tech future isn't going to love a bunch of fierce corpses, magical talismans, and medical science wherein a hook-hand is the best prosthesis available. B'Elanna would make a terrible cultivator. She doesn't like to look inward, to meditate, or the kind of spiritual practice which would lead to forming a golden core. She doesn't like hierarchies unless she knows and deeply respects the person at the top. Maybe she could hang with the Nie Clan in some very specific circumstances, but she would do terribly with any other sect.

She wouldn't survive it. Not because she's incapable. Drop B'Elanna Torres on a deserted M-Class planet with no tools except (1) Klingon dagger and she would have electricity, running water, and a transmitting distress signal within a week. No, it turns out that I have a type. B'Elanna is a sarcastic, wise cracking genius, who joined an illegal terrorist organization because she puts protecting individual people over arbitrary moral definitions and larger political concerns. So how could she survive in the Jianghu?

ROLE: Initiator

submerge/douse - target a specific radius and submerge enemies in water, leaving them struggling with visuals and sounds and slowing them for a very brief period of time.

surf - send forward a wave of water that blinds enemies and knocks them back a bit.

drown/submerge - despite the possible name, apply an armor of water to yourself or a teammate. take less damage from bullets as the water slows them. adds more bulk to your character model and makes sound (aka, it’s not very stealthy if you are in enemy territory).

probably ex-military (navy lol wowww), hails from venice, italy (well. yknow what happened there). after the whole first light thing she kind of just went into hiding and laid low for a while bc she wasnt sure of her new found abilities and didnt want to be like assassinated while living her life or be taken into custody by the government, and then ig the protocol found her and she was visiting and she was just really put off by it because that was her Home and almost chickened out (understandably, chickened out isnt the right phrasing but look) until she kinda got hit in the face with the reality of everything and was told “either you join us, or you wait until the inevitable day someone finds out you’re a radiant and your life is taken from you, not that it already hasn’t been with the way you’ve been living.” and she reluctantly joined as fonte i dont know how important or canon codenames are bc they seem more like file data stuff but uhhhhh thinkin venezia or swimmer or something idk. maybe buoy idk!! anyway.
