Thunderfam SOS!
There's a website that has archived a load of British comics (at least I think it was just British ones), and amongst the collection were some of the Lady Penelope comics as well as the old TV Century 21 comics, only I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the website!
I remember the files weren't PDFs and I had a hell of a time last summer converting a load of files 😂 It was so worth the effort though, and I'd like to look through the website again.
Does anyone know which site I'm talking about and could you possibly help me remember the website name? Or at the very least let me know if I've been imagining it (I'm not - I still have some of the files, so I know it was real!) It's driving me mad!

this might be a stretch to ask here but idk where else to ask i read this one zc fic forever ago that childe was like married to rex lapis and then he was required to take the gnosis and kill him and zhongli came about and befriended him meanwhile childe was sad bc he loved rl and didn't want to kill him but the tsaritsa forced him to and the adeptus are all loving and zhongli find out and is like i love you mwah mwah all better

"i have to read more comic books" i tell myself, as i start another 100+ chapter webcomic "i have to read more novels" i say, opening my tab of over 200 ao3 stories and webnovels that i flitter between like an overstimulated butterfly
#'how do you have over 200' every time i see something i think would be interesting i add it to the tab collection to read later#i either focus on one or switch between 5ish that im actively reading at once#for webnovels/comics im caught up with and just checking for updates i use a bookmarks folder. dont ask how many bookmarks are in the folde#and i use subscriptions for ao3 fanfics and original stories. so those updates get opened in my email tab grouping instead#i used to read up to 3 physical books at once and switch between them but having them all on my pet rectangle makes it easier#i have an absurd visual memory so i very rarely need to reread stuff and refresh myself for the plot unless 5+ years have passed#my parents spent so much money on books for me as a kid. now books are very cheap on ebook or free and on internet. yaay.#if im in a '5 stories at once' state i cant watch youtube videos or listen to podcasts though. or listen to music. Eyes Only.

#yes actually it’s bad the community as a whole survives mainly on chinese imports#unless it is something like paper merch which is cheap enough to be produced domestically. and even then so many creators try to outsource#(kindly wtf in that front???)#but there are domestic (us) acrylic merch manufacturers. they do wooden stuff as well. is it that fancy? no. is it enough? YEAH#same goes for most other merch. buttons obviously are done domesctically some people even hand make them#I’ve seen domestic tote manufacturers. probably if you looked better you could find ones for plushies. metal bookmarks. enamel pins ones#exist i know that for a fact#anyway sorry im just tired of the discourse :///#eric.txt#also yes are the domestic ones more expensive? usually. but creators have an insane markup in those. esp on those who make merch for a livin

sometimes while going through my fandom stuff i'll find privated/ghost interactions with it, and on the one hand i know there's any number of reasons someone might want some privacy and i respect that 100%. and it's also weirdly flattering! and i'm glad people are able to enjoy my stuff in whatever kind of peace it is they're maintaining. especially if it's something without a lot of other content out there.
on the other hand i am always so so curious. who are you stranger what was it you liked about my thing. who are the other enjoyers out there

The best part of people bookmarking our stuff, we think, is that we get to read vastly different tagging systems and systems of organization. Sometimes it will just be a bookmark but sometimes we get to read cool secret public recs and sometimes we get to read someone commenting "1" on our fic and not elaborating in any way
#we speak#ao3#also we get to see our freaky little fics amidst a bookmarks archive thats mostly fluff with very little in common with it#and know that we have written Good Enough to get this person to break their usual reading habits of fluff and fandom#and on top of that written good enough that they wish to bookmark it to seek it out later#also we get to read tags that deffo will only turn up once unless someone else is writing in the Exact Same Niche#our own bookmarks ofc are a mixture of Public Fic Rec and stuff privately bookmarked with shit like “use for fic inspiration later”#our negative reviews are all ofc private if it isnt at least bad in an entertaining way theres no use showing it to people#and we are not going to lead people to 20k words that we struggled to slog through. no one needs to experience that.#you will find it on your own or its not meant to be

Well, I’m usually super supportive of whatever fandom I’m in. Like I’ll go all in, little to no shame, if it’s my problem it’s yours now, too. But the moment I get back into Supernatural I just. Ultimate Cringe Moment. I sit there staring at the screen and feel tears streaming down my face. Why am I writing these silly little stories for these silly little guys? I wasn’t even invested in Supernatural ten years ago and suddenly I am transported to those vibes as soon as the first word is typed out by my silly little hands. How dare I write Supernatural fan fiction in the Year of Our Lord 2023? Sam? Dean? Cas? Why can’t I be obsessed with a respectable fandom like Merlin or Pacific Rim or even Violet Evergarden? Yet here I am, gripped by my 96th fic idea for these idiot brothers and their idiot angel and their idiot son that I Must write out Immediately. Disgusting. I finish a 60k crossover fic and Perish.
