I really need WWE 2K23 to fix & update create a show. Mainly speaking from universe mode (though a lot of these exist outside of it too). Major example being you can select any of the Smackdown arenas or make your own, you can only use the current overlay. Only use the current replay screen. Only the current transition becomes thunderdom & 2021 are the same. Match up screen you get current (thunderdom or 2020) or 2009. Show intro also just 2009 & 2020/thunderdom.
My main issues being missing overlays, arenas, & match up screens. If the arena is in the game, you should have access to all the graphics to that arena to either recreate for Universe or make your own. There's arenas for SummerSlam 1998, 2009, 2020 but the 2009 overlay is nowhere. As much shit people give 2K20, it's create a show didn't feel as limiting as 2K22.
Add on that the original overlays & such have not been updated or had new ones added. Is there a reason we can't have updated ones that look & feel like they'd be used irl?
While I'm complaining about things I want 2K to update. Everyone wants rivalries updated & to be better. I don't know if it's possible but I want to be able to actually create an rivalry. In the sense, there's a list of storylines. You choose one, select the cast & that determines the cut scenes & matches. Very least, having choices within these rivalries would go a long way. I can count on one hand how many times I've actually got a choice.

All-Women Wrestling (A.W.W) Universe Mode - WWE 2K23
Tumblr media
When I'm not working on Music, I'm dabbling in WWE 2K23 Universe Mode. For awhile I was playing with the in-game roster and I couldn't help but I feel bored from it. So I created My Own Wrestling Promotion in Universe Mode, I actually have 2 Promotions. It's just that the other one doesn't have any Superstars for The Roster because I haven't created them cause I was making Superstars, Championships, Arenas, and Shows. I plan to make 50 Women Wrestlers and 50 Men Superstars with more content. If anyone is interested in making Universe Mode Videos, add me on PlayStation Network. (PSN: The-Joker7776660)

WWE 2k23 might have confirmed that Bo Dallas is Uncle Howdy, if you go into Universe Mode and look at the stats for the original NXT championship it shows Howdy had it one time and for 260 days, like Bo

Welcome to a brand new WWE Universe!! as I return to the the ring after being away for a tiny bit and my first night back on RAW I face Liv Morgan! hopefully I don't have any ring rust but I don't think that will be an issue being I'm always ready to bring the fire! Also don't forget! Now if you'll notice I do look a bit different there is a few reasons for that. firstly I was having problems with my face texture since 2K18 and I tried to kinda fix it and I guess "future proof" it so I can use it with out have to change it for each game. I think its because the eyebrows are too low and the nose just doesn't look right so hopefully it will be fixed for the 2K23 videos Secondly you notice a darker skin tone I have also been having skin tone issues for years! I have been trying to get it to the right color but the game doesn't seem to want to I think it has alot to do with the lighting in the game. You see I have a more darker skin tone due to my parents being of different races. So I always try to get that perfect bronzy color and in 2K22 I thought I finally had it!! it looked perfect in create mode and I was so happy but then in the character selection screen it looks extremely dark its not suppose to be that dark. it makes me look black but I'm not black and then again during in ring game play it looks completely different again..? so I don't know I'm hoping to have this all fixed on 2K23 I don't know why I'm having this problem.

WWE 2K24 Review - Another Strong Push - Game Informer
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/wwe-2k24-review-another-strong-push-game-informer/
WWE 2K24 Review - Another Strong Push - Game Informer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WWE 2K24 leverages WrestleMania’s impending 40-year milestone to celebrate the event, and it proves to be a party worth attending. Enjoyable additions and smart improvements bolster its steadily improving formula, making it the strongest in-ring outing since the series’ return.
2K24’s control scheme remains largely unchanged from 2K23 but boasts neat new mechanics, such as the trading blows mini-game. This gamification of the back-and-forth “boo/yay” punch trope adds a fun wrinkle to combat. Other well-worn in-ring moments to receive attention include setting up big dives onto a mob of opponents; I rarely use it, but it’s nice to have. That sentiment applies to the game’s new match types: Casket, Ambulance, and Special Guest Referee. I’m generally lukewarm on these stipulations in real life and I won’t be rushing to play them often here, but they’re replicated well. I especially like how Special Referee sports a meter that limits ref shenanigans to keep it from being totally one-sided should you face a crooked official. It also fosters strategic cheating for the player in stripes.
A staggering roster of over 200 Superstars out of the box varies from pretty good to spot-on in the looker department. I also appreciate smaller presentational touches, such as having real-life referees like Charles Robinson and Jessika Carr appear for the first time. Regardless of whose boots you wear, playing 2K24 remains a largely good hands-on experience, even if some moves could stand to be less mechanically dense. Forgetting all of the offensive options at your disposal is easy, but a robust tutorial helps simplify this learning curve. Existing match stipulations remain entertaining whether playing alone or online, though the latter destination is, at publishing, a tricky proposition thanks to spotty connections.

Showcase mode allows players to relive iconic bouts throughout the first 39 WrestleManias. Taking into account wrestlers who can’t appear due to current employment in rival organizations or for being generally problematic, it’s a strong curation of matches. Corey Graves’ commentary during transitions to real footage adds a nice touch compared to last year’s silent cutscenes. I also love that button prompts for objectives now appear on-screen, reducing trips to the menu screen to figure out how to execute a specific maneuver. Showcases’ wacky finale isn’t quite as memorable as last year’s big twist, but the mode is an overall improvement over 2K23’s rendition and a great celebration of WrestleMania that inspires me to rewatch my favorite matches from the event.
The dual story-driven journeys of MyRise present more narrative forks stemming from pivotal decision-making moments. Whether you play an indie legend navigating the mainstream waters of WWE or build the credibility of a low-card act chaotically thrust into the World Title picture, I like how choices pack more meaningful engagement to their overall enjoyable tales. It’s delightfully silly at points, and I also like seeing characters and plot points from last year’s MyRise reappear here, adding a welcomed continuity to 2K’s alternate WWE universe. Thankfully, created characters and unlockables finally carry over into more modes, adding deeper returns to my investment in MyRise.
MyGM, a personal favorite destination, remains a good time bolstered by expanded match types, GMs, talent interactions, and other options. It also feels more strategic now that you can level up individual talent by placing them in certain matches and negotiate Superstar trades between brands each season. Although Universe mode is less my jam, I’m happy to see the giant sandbox sim get options such as Money in the Bank cash-ins and run-ins, plus more cutscenes that add to its TV-like presentation. The card-collecting-themed MyFaction has never been my cup of tea, and 2K24 doesn’t change this, but it’s nice to see it receive more depth in match types and competitive multiplayer options. The already stellar creation suite sports additional items to build the coolest – or silliest – Superstars, arenas, entrances, or championships you can concoct, but don’t expect any major changes to its reliable template. That last point applies to nearly all of 2K24’s offerings: good iterations of an established formula.
2K24 sees Visual Concepts layer on quality new bricks to WWE 2K’s strong foundation while sanding away some rough edges. The series has settled into an exceptional, if very familiar, blueprint, and I would love to see a bigger shake-up in the future, but the result offers the best package since the franchise returned in 2022. If you’re a curious fan who’s held off on jumping back into the digital ring, 2K24 is as good an argument as any to shake off the ring rust. For diehard enthusiasts, this year’s entry won’t bowl you over in the broad sense, but its incremental updates and continued polish make it a worthy contender for another year.

I restarted a My Career Universe Mode for DC in WWE #2K23. This match was set up by the game itself. Should this be a team moving forward on #WWERaw?

I've been enjoying WWE 2K23 so far. Both the men's and women's MyRise stories were entertaining. GM mode is a vast improvement on 2K22. Overall, the game runs well and I'm having fun.
A few days ago, I decided I want to try and platinum the game. I've already got all the Showcase and Universe mode trophies. I had most of the MyRise ones and some of the GM mode related ones.
The one mode I hadn't touched was MyFaction as much like last year, it just feels a grind. In other modes, you might have a story play out in a different way or new challenges arise based on how you book a certain roster. As far as I can tell, MyFaction is just keep winning, just keep winning.
That said, I've only got three Faction related trophies left. One is for Loyalty, which anyone can get as long as they go into the mode for five days in any given week. One is for Live Events, special challenges that require certain criteria to be met before you can attempt them.
The third is for winning 100 Faction War matches. Each is a four on four tag. And you just have to keep winning again, and again and 97 more agains.
I'm currently at 15 out of 100 and hold little hope this particular trophy will get any more engaging as I go. Still, I only have myself to blame for this suffering.

WWE 2K23 first impressions (I haven't played more than like one match but lots of GM mode)
with recent sports games like The Show 22 and NBA 2K21, you can pretty convincingly watch them as if they were real sports broadcasts. i've bought several NBA 2K games that I've never actually tried 'playing' because this concept fascinates me.
generally this isn't my experience with wrestling games, particularly the early entries in the series which today has spawned WWE 2K. early SmackDown! and SmackDown vs. Raw games developed by Yuke's were some of the best pro wrestling games of all time. while I've always admired the fun gameplay and free season mode of Here Comes the Pain on PS2, it's not like those games are particularly enjoyable to watch CPU vs CPU.
in SmackDown vs Raw 2006, General Manager mode was introduced, basically a light booking sim that tasked players with hiring wrestlers, booking them in rivalries, building up the popularity of them and your brand while trying to have more fans than your rival wrestling brand. while not as in depth as something like EWR, it was a fun mode that actually served as something of a precursor to later Universe modes and helped breathe some of that 'sandbox' feel back into the series after its season mode had become more scripted and rigid. after a few games, the mode was removed, coincidentally this was exactly the timeframe where wrestling games (these included) all started having a turn for the mid
wrestling games have obviously become better looking over the years, and this extends to the gameplay. over the years Yuke's and later current devs Visual Concepts brought the gameplay of the WWE series closer to real world broadcast.
that brings us to WWE 2K23. is this game fun to play? would I rather play this than any Yuke's wrestling game released before 2007? not really. it's fine. WWE '13 played fine too. if the gameplay is fine you can turn your brain off and get through the games Showcase mode to get the unlockable legends and arenas. I haven't bothered doing that yet but it seems Fine.
but who cares about that GM MODE IS BACK since the last game BUT STILL! i didn't get the last game (the series return after COVID and a bad last entry made it skip a year), so this is the second edition of new GM mode. as a longtime fan of the mode who basically paid for this game just for new GM mode, how is it? i think it's cool!
modern GM mode lets up to four brands face each other. this is a lot better executed than 2008's three brands because WWE 2K23 has a massive roster. that's kind of been the thing for the series for the last half decade, having massive rosters. even with four brands drafting and plenty of wrestlers held back for later free agency, they can comfortably draft and have dozens left over. 2008's GM mode (the final classic one) had a multitude of issues but the biggest one was not having a big enough roster for its mode. in 2008, one brand (ECW) was also screwed by only having access to one title belt and thus one champion to boost show ratings. every brand has access to the standard suite of titles in modern GM mode
this mode would be great fun with friends, and one of the big reasons are the power up cards you acquire during your streamlined season. on a roughly half year schedule every show you book has Triple H offering you these rewards in return for fulfilling his arbitrary demand. some of these do things like boost costs on your opponent's show and would be nice for head games and strategy. they can also give a variety of boosts to the user like boosting match quality for steel cage matches. you can buy a handful of these every week so it's one of the things you juggle and think about throughout a season
the basics of GM mode from the old days remain but just streamlined and in a fresh way. the core tenants of build rivalries and book exciting shows while keeping an eye on wrestler morale and stamina are all here, not the same as in classic GM mode, but all I think well realized. wrestlers have classes this time which adds strategy to booking; cruiserweights and giants match up well as do fighters and bruisers while technicians can get a good match out of anyone. juggling all these systems, maximizing profit and trying not to get your guys injured is the name of the game
as the season goes on, stamina becomes increasingly important and concerning. you'll need to play chess to make sure you protect people so they don't get hurt while keeping them popular and their rivalries fierce. hiring new blood and legends becomes necessary and you'll probably stock up on cards. at the end of the season this stuff all resets, causing a flow where your small cozy roster goes through the gamut and is very different by the end of the season
morale is more interesting in this than classic GM mode. every week you get messages, rival AI GMs periodically bother you or whine about you using a card, but more interestingly your wrestlers will come to you with requests, demands, or thanks. they'll be more loyal to you depending on how you treat them, and if you don't make people happy they'll be just as likely to demand $100k or they'll walk… though not everyone will actually go through with it lol. none of this is that complex in execution but it's fun and these requests and morale can be amusing and/or affect booking.
wrapping back to my earliest point, while I don't have much interest in playing the game, the presentation has certainly become pretty good over the years. not quite as spot on as MLB The Show, but wrestlers generally look and move roughly how they ought to, and with the right AI settings they can simulate genuinely realistic wrestling matches. perhaps in ten years the games will really look like real wrestling, for now I think what this game provides is damn impressive.
with matches being semirealistic and entertaining to watch, a mode where you spend some time figuring out where to put all the chess pieces and then sitting back and seeing how it all plays out can be deeply satisfying. I haven't even touched Universe mode in this game yet, but what I've seen so far has been pretty satisfying to me as a longtime wrestling game fan.
with modes like this, games that simulate real world athletics, fake or otherwise, will be infinitely replayable for anyone who has a good time playing in the sandbox of the offered modes. WWE 2K23's standard creation options and downloadable suite of thousands of player creations only add to this, though the servers for those won't be around forever, the game's included roster is well sufficient. when you get into custom draft classes including custom wrestlers, things start to get a little wild, so have fun exploring
my only gripes with modern GM mode really are just a few things that aren't Even More sandbox. the four slots can use any of five brands but no brands beyond that. the given brands are logical i suppose (RAW, SD, NXT, NXT 2.0, WCW) but more would be nice including legacy options or just the ability to import custom images and names like in Universe mode. options like ECW, 205 Live and NXT UK would have made sense here. the GM selection is solid (would have liked to see William Regal here but classic Bischoff is a nice touch I usually use as GM of Raw) and I always play as Sonya Deville. being able to choose a custom wrestler as a GM is appreciated and makes up for this. the other complaints are a lack of available match types in the mode. you can literally do 8-man matches in this game but are restricted to four man matches at most in GM mode. you also can't use custom belts for this mode and stuff but it's whatever. like I said my complaints are mostly related to wishing it were even more customizable
