In the end, the revolutionaries were too obsessed with factions, an' not focused on feedin' the people. But still, they're an example a' ordinary people unitin' together ta' take down a whole government.

Master Ti stood watching children learn to handle weapons of war. She watched them aim down sights firing in unitin with thier brothers. Watched them carry them as calmly and carefully as a Jedi did their sabers.

She saw the care they put into cleaning the blasters they were handed almost as soon as they came out of the tubes. She heard the love in their voices as the older boy walked the littlest one though the steps to care for them.

They were children forced to grow into soldiers far too fast. They were children who loved their brothers so much. They were children handed blasters and set loose on the Republic's enemy's. They were just children.

“Trento 2034”, al via il nuovo piano di politica culturale

“Trento 2034”, al via il nuovo piano di politica culturale. La partenza del nuovo piano di politica culturale “Trento 2034” è stata annunciata oggi dalla vicesindaca e assessora alla Cultura e Turismo Elisabetta Bozzarelli durante la Commissione Cultura, alla presenza dei due consulenti che cureranno il piano. Si tratta di Paolo Dalla Sega, consulente senior, docente all’Università Cattolica di Milano presso l’Interfacoltà di Economia e Lettere e Filosofia e membro della Commissione Consultiva per la Danza – Spettacolo dal Vivo Fondo Unico per lo Spettacolo del Ministero della Cultura, e di Nahid Aliyari, consulente junior, giovane attiva da anni sul territorio in progetti di orientamento sociale e protagonismo giovanile, quali il festival culturale e musicale Poplar e l’associazione universitaria UNITiN. Questa varietà nel team è stata fortemente cercata e voluta dal bando pubblico del Comune, che richiedeva la partecipazione di un consulente senior e di un consulente junior di età inferiore ai 30 anni, con documentata esperienza in ambito culturale, per riuscire a interpretare al meglio le diverse sensibilità (generazionale, di genere e di background) che convivono nella città e per la città. Il piano precedente L’ultimo piano culturale, voluto dall’ex assessora Lucia Maestri, iniziava nel 2012 e si interrompeva nel 2020. In modo quasi profetico non osava immaginare oltre il 2020, anno che in effetti ha spiazzato il mondo intero, rimescolato le carte e ricalibrato la posta in gioco, rendendo impossibile qualsiasi tipo di riflessione sul presente. Oggi, dopo quattro anni, è tempo di tornare a scrivere (e parlare) di Cultura, quella che unisce, costruisce, consolida e che, negli ultimi anni, è stata la grande protagonista della Città, che dal 2021 è una città aperta. Una nuova Trento Rispetto a dieci anni fa, infatti, quella che viviamo oggi è una nuova Trento. È una Trento che non ha avuto paura di prendere in mano il passato, che ha visto e tutt’oggi vede evolversi processi di riqualificazione di spazi urbani prima in disuso (come ex Lettere e i depositi dell’ex Atesina). È una città giovane e universitaria, con un Ateneo pluripremiato nella classifica nazionale degli Atenei medi, con un quantitativo di studenti pari a quasi il 20 per cento della popolazione cittadina, che ha visto crescere i progetti di due nuovi studentati e che ne ha in seno degli altri, per accogliere da qui ai prossimi dieci anni migliaia di giovani. È una città aperta, che da tre anni ospita una propria programmazione di eventi culturali estivi, con l’obiettivo di diffondere e radicare la cultura. Ma è una città che guarda anche al futuro, che sta investendo su un piano di rifunzionalizzazione delle aree che saranno lasciate libere dall’interramento ferroviario. Punto di partenza di questo lavoro di ricerca, cura e cultura, vuole quindi essere la consapevolezza che un piano culturale articolato su base decennale non può partire da cosa Trento è oggi, bensì da cosa Trento può diventare tra dieci anni. Per far sì che questo accada, non è sufficiente guardarsi dentro, ma diventa fondamentale anche guardare fuori, aprendo nuove finestre sul mondo, sia perché è vocazione culturale della città stessa, ma anche perché è proprio dalle relazioni che la cultura si sviluppa. Gli incontri pubblici Dal punto di vista pratico, saranno centrali gli incontri con gli stakeholder principali del territorio comunale, provinciale e regionale. Si prevedono incontri aperti e pubblici con player rilevanti dei diversi ambiti culturali del territorio (latu sensu: da Verona a Bolzano) ma anche con realtà economiche e sociali, siano esse istituzioni, soggetti privati o enti del terzo settore. Saranno occasioni per parlare non solo di cultura, ma attorno alla cultura intesa come strumento, mezzo anzi soggetto attivo della politica contemporanea, di tutto quanto è per la polis: il territorio e la comunità che lo abita. La domanda sottesa, secondo le ultime tendenze di pensiero e prassi a livello europeo, rovescia la prospettiva: non più “che fare per la cultura” ma “che cosa può o deve fare la cultura” per la società di oggi, con tutte le sue complessità e criticità. Prendere parte, partecipare, scegliere, interpretare e agire. Ecco perché va incontrato chi fa cultura, chi produce bellezza e creatività, ma anche chi più estesamente è e fa Trento e il Trentino oggi, e domani. Scuola e territorio In questo complesso lavoro sarà sicuramente d’aiuto il profilo aperto dell’assessorato di competenza che da un lato tende naturalmente verso le economie del territorio, dall’altro verso il mondo e le persone di domani. La cultura, infatti, non è una cosa da adulti, ma riguarda tutte le generazioni e si radica nella società di domani attraverso la scuola. Una fondamentale apertura sarà di tipo geografico, oltre i confini municipali di un capoluogo che può e deve ancora superare delle mura, locali e globali: dalla dialettica città-valli, senza dimenticare il contesto regionale, alla volontà di guardare e ascoltare, cercare e studiare, viaggiare ed esplorare “oltre le mura” un benessere che, a volte, finisce fatalmente con l’assopire gli ingegni e le passioni. Ecco perché agli incontri si alterneranno interviste esterne con esponenti di importanti istituzioni nazionali e internazionali o esperti del settore (le policies culturali). I materiali delle interviste verranno comunque resi pubblici nella sezione dedicata al Piano all’interno del sito del Comune di Trento, nell’area tematica “Cultura e turismo”. Innovazione e partecipazione Questo doppio sguardo, interno ed esterno, e questa doppia modalità dell’incontro o dell’intervista, saranno sempre guidati da una idea moderna di cultura, che convintamente ricordiamo: cultura come partecipazione riflessiva di una comunità. Le visioni tra passato, presente e futuro di “Trento 2034”, frutto della cruciale era post-pandemica così come delle innovazioni e transizioni verso il digitale guidate dal Pnrr con strumenti come il Tocc (Transizione ecologica organismi culturali e creativi), si concentreranno su focus tipicamente contemporanei tra cui la sostenibilità – non solo economica e ambientale – l’inclusività e l’universalità della cultura, il dialogo intergenerazionale e in particolare una reale estensione dell’audience culturale verso nuovi pubblici o meglio “non pubblici”. L’accesso alla cultura si intenderà anche come accesso al “fare cultura”, verso un rinnovamento reale dell’offerta oltre che della domanda. Questa sarà la base della strategia delineata da “Trento 2034” e dei possibili scenari di sviluppo a breve, medio e lungo termine. La conclusione dei lavori è prevista per il 30 aprile 2024. In a rough political week, I wanted ta' highlight some a' the good things goin' on!

I don't know the outcome yet, but today is the final strike authorization vote fer over 14,000 Disneyland workers in 4 different unions! Bob Iger is about ta' feel the wrath a' the workers fer the second time in two years, an' I wish the workers a speedy and total victory!

Canadian workers at Bombardier Aircraft Assembly won a victory after their 18 day strike, gettin' a wage increase and other benefits! See, organized workers win!

Hundreds of protesters in Guatemala are demandin' a new constitutional assembly, correctly claiming the current constitution as a US-favoring colonial document. Colonialism has turned Guatemala into one of the most dangerous nations on Earth, an' I love ta' see the people takin' their country back!

There was a massive general strike across the West Bank on Sunday, and while that hasn't affected IDF policy so far, the mere fact that the people were united enough fer a general strike across the region gives me hope. It's really hard ta' get a general strike together, an' that kinda solidarity can only make things better.

There's all sorts of other strikes across every single inhabited continent, either going on or having successfully concluded, because organized workers win! You won't hear that from corporate news, but its' all true.

There's people unitin' together an' winnin' all the time, poozers! Don't give up hope!

#1 Clean Air Conditioning Filter

Your filter is the first thing you should clean at least once per month. You want to avoid paying attention to dirt particles in your system. Remove them with the vinegar solution, and you're good!

#2 Check On Your Thermostat

It's not just about cleaning your filter; checking on your thermostat is equally important, especially in winter. If the temp control knob moves around, you must check if your unit is operating correctly. In addition, make sure there are all parts included, like the cord or the reset button (if applicable). These can cause heating issues.

#3 Don't Overuse Your Unit

In hot weather, your air conditioner might use a lot of electricity. Unfortunately, you'll likely get charged more money on your bill. So, limit yourself to only using the amount of power your unit was designed to handle.
