My housemates and I are watching S5 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, which my bff J and I love, and Ash had never seen. She's been having a blast with it and it's been really cool to watch through her eyes.

I've seen some condemnations of how Entrapta is handled in S5 that I found, let's say, unpersuasive. Re-watching now, I'm not just fine with how she's handled, but have realized how much I really love it. It's still refreshing for me to see a narrative where an obviously autistic person—an adult, which is extra refreshing!—is treated as a moral agent without ignoring her actual handicaps.

Entrapta is capable of moral failure and has failed morally in the past, despite her basic good nature and personal kindness. She has lines she won't cross and where she'll stand her ground, and she hits that line before most everyone in the Horde but Adora, but her priorities were still very wrong. She's not just an avatar of Autism, and by S5 we see that she's grown and changed without any indication that she's less autistic now or more authentically Entrapta than she ever was. AND at the same time, it's clear that there is something rather cruel when other characters evaluate and judge her behavior without making any allowances for how Entrapta perceives and processes things around her. Sometimes they don't seem to even slightly consider how differently Entrapta experiences and understands the world.

The scene (in S5!) where she belatedly figures out that the others in the scene are angry at her, and everyone except Scorpia acts like she's stupid for not already realizing it, is incredibly familiar, honestly. It's one of those moments where I felt like it could seem forced or artificial in a "teaching moment for the kids" way, and yet it's one of the most relatable moments in the show for me.

i think my favorite kind of criticism towards fairytale library was "it's weird that tori and wataru became friends so fast this happened just after atlantis" hate to break it to you but tori and wataru's process of becoming friends has been enstars' slowest slowburn. their relationship is more developed than most popular ships

I feel as though people (mostly people who aren't insanely wataeipilled, or involved with shipping in general) are misunderstanding what we're upset about. It's not the simple assumption that we want wataei to be "canon" and that we're upset that that can't happen because of Eichi getting married, it's that HappyEle have been on a character assassination spree recently (Izumi in Mad Party & Kohaku in Last Mission) and we're worried that's going to happen to Wataru and/or Eichi. Regardless of shipping, Eichi never told Wataru, who's supposed to be his "best friend" that he's essentially been engaged to Tori's sister for the best part of a year. If Wataru isn't upset about this, then they've done it once again, because Wataru trusts Eichi to take his mask off around him; whilst the mask is "him", the "mask's purpose" (the title of his card in EP:Link) is to hide oneself. Wataru took it off for EICHI and Eichi ALONE. He put himself on display, allowed his facade to begin to fade around him and be his authentic "self" and opened himself up to possibly even be hurt (which he was immediately, by the way, and CRIED over it. HIBIKI WATARU. CRIED. Because Eichi was indifferent to his confession of love) because he trusts Eichi, and Eichi's told Wataru before (Tempest) that he also trusts him. So, is it or is it not blatant character assassination, and possibly even going back on their more recent development of becoming more honest with each other, if Wataru is not upset with this development?

fine - tori makes this outfit look so cute but i just dont think it would look that good on me 😔 also i dont like pants that hang above my ankles. the fit itself is super cute and i have nothing against it tho

trickstar - another one where it looks really cute on the characters but i just dunno if it would fit me, also aside form the accessories it does seem a bit like just a regular dark colored suit...

ryuseitai - i've been a power rangers girl for years and this outfit looks so cool, like even if you take away how much symbolism it has for ryuseitai i would still want to wear it

alkaloid - the outfit is just so cool. like look at it i wanna wear that shit so bad, one qualm is that it does look a bit heavy/hot but its a worthy sacrifice tbh

eden - its the green. if it were literally any other color scheme it would be in "eh" but that shade of green would not work w me

valkyrie - its not as elaborate as some of the other outfits so thats why it isnt as high but i would still absolutely take it if it was given to me......corset.....

crazy b - another fun looking one! while in practice i dont know how much i would like it in theory i adore the jeanjacket/jacket over hoodie combo, the sneakers and jeans just pull the whole outfit together and it does feel like something i could wear weekly!

undead - i moved this one up while making the post bc i took a proper look at it and yea. i would definitely want to wear this one. blue's my favorite color so the general dark blue+ color palette along with the flowy material at the wrists and waist make it look soooo fun

ra*bits - i would commit crimes to wear this outfit. im being so serious ra*bits wins best trip album outfit award

akatsuki - in general the traditional japanese style outfits akatsuki wears seem like they would be fun to wear, they also however look. very heavy. i do really like the patterns and flow of the clothing tho so i would def wear it to try if i could!

knights - it looks cute but it genuinely just doesnt stick out as something i want to wear all that much

sumi didnt post about it but sumi has a new quest and wants to try and be an everyoneP !! sumis always struggled with picking favs by liking so many in enst, so this sounds like it makes sense ? maybe ! and sumi can also jus befriend every single idol if sumi gets to know more ab them all like this. after 1.5 and getting to know more about hitsugi and negi, sumi's realized sumi is happiest if sumi just sees them all as friends (人´ з`*)☆
