Hello anzu! One of my favourite youtubers, Mr dunkey, did a video on neptunia riders vs dogoos and I thought it was rather hilarious. This left me wondering though, what does anzu think of that game?

omg anzu knows ab that video!!! didnt watch it, but anzu does watch beatemups a lot and he mentioned it ww; beatemups made a vid recently where he randomly got some games from gamestop for switch, and that title was one of them... no shade to the guy, love his content, but he does not know anything when it comes to anime stuff and his commentary on how weird it is was funny. dogoo men aside, he said he liked it too 👍

anzu did not get to play it yet, but anzu really does want to play it as well; the steam port will come out at the end of this month! so anzu will wait for that..

the mechanics look really fun, and anzu also is happy uzume is getting a game focused so much on her as well; she deserves it n shes absolutely an overlooked character otherwise.. 🙏 love fiery tomboy thats secretly cutieful..

are rebirth 1 2 & 3 any good?

the games are all on steam as well! it should write on steam what the specifications to run them is, 4go shouldnt be that straining; the rebirth games are remakes of the original mainlines, it has way more story than the arpg titles (minus 4go and newer ones like sisters vs sisters) which is good if you want to learn about the characters and the setting, the gameplay isn't terrible, but it also depends if you like TRPG/SRPGs (ex. fire emblem) or not. anzu personally doesnt like this kind that much, but nep games have a system that lets you freeroam before making an attack which makes it a bit more unique; if you do like TRPGs as well then you will probably like it whole 👍

^ also have to add if you like the more classic kind of TRPGs, you may also want to check out fairy fencer f series, also illustrated by tsunako and made by ideafactory/nis+compile heart; anzu just started that series around this time and it's just as silly with lovable characters as nep is, and also has a lot more men (or any men at all? w) if you care about that; genuinely the only downside to it to anzu is that it's a classic TRPG and anzu isnt personally a fan of them

They're actually sizing them down for sns posts, the original canvas size is much larger

anzu doesn't think this is the case for qtonagi's art specifically, if you go look at their speedpaints as well. Yes, that is the case with a bunch of other artists, or in some cases like twitter for example, if the art is above 2048px it will downsize it to that maximum size (or so, if anzu remembers it right), but also there is a certain feel to arts drawn specifically in small canvases, and you can sort of tell when something was downsized either by the site it was uploaded on, or by the artist themselves, that anzu does not really notice with qtonagi's work.

even besides them, this is also speaking about a lot of old arts from the period anzu is most inspired by of 2007-2013.. for example, if you look at puna nezuki's art for the original PV for cat food by doriko, it is sized down to below 1000px, but if you zoom in you can tell by the amount of clear details it has that it was sized down; if you zoom in on qtonagi's work or watch their speedpaints (up on their twt, same @) you can see everything remains the same allthruout and all the details and such are mapped out to be seen well enough in small size canvas, which makes anzu believe they are using sizes that small

one of anzu's favorite artists, qtonagi, always draws in 1000px or under. their art is incredibly beautiful, yet it does not look small resolution at all despite the insane small canvases they work in.. so it just makes anzu wonder if anzu could also switch to smaller canvases, despite anzu has been going for larger ones as of late
