In the U.S. we have more power than most to compel our government + representatives to stop this madness + demand a ceasefire. "More than most" is still not a lot - I feel so angry and helpless in all this.

But I can make a phone call, and if every other American makes a phone call, maybe we could shame them into pretending we're actually still some semblance of a democracy. If we all demand a ceasefire now, and demand real aid and support for the people of Palestine - we have a better shot of making an impact, making that happen, as Americans, others may.
