Recently, after getting a brief, unintentional, never-before-seen glimpse into a Comic Con, noticing just how many cosplayers there were, dressed up as characters from Hazbin Hotel, I began to get intrigued…TikTok certainly gave me the push I needed to investigate the Hazbin hype, so I ordered the complete first season DVD to watch. Until it’s delivered, I decided to give my nails a theme-inspired makeover, Alastor style…now wherever I go, I can feel like a badass, knowing very soon, I could be joining the dressed-up demons in hell.

// still MIA over my new job but missing writing here a lot! I'm a lot less tired this week than the last though so I'm hoping to be fully functional again soon.
In other completely unrelated news, we have a teeny tiny olive tree in our garden, but some sparrows decided to nest on its very few branches — and there are BABIES in it.

Unexpected Discoveries (Closed Rp)
Chase started out okay this morning. He had a slight headache the night before that lasted until he woke up, but he figured that with some good old relaxation and self care that it would go away. It could just be that he needed a bigger breakfast, or needed to drink some more water. That should help it some.
Usually Chase assumed it would evolve into something worse like it sometimes did, but he couldn’t have that today. He and Star planned to hang out today while they both had a day off and he was not about to cancel on her over something that might be a little headache. They were just having some quality time, so it was nothing too energetic anyway. So he didn’t cancel, instead just making sure he ate well and stayed hydrated, as well as having a painkiller to see if it helped.
And for a while, it worked. When Star came over, Chase was happy he didn’t cancel. The headache was nearly gone when she showed up. But as the time passed, he felt the pain start to creep up and up again. But he wasn’t about to kick her out, nor was he planning to go lay down while she was still here. So he decided to just try and hide it, doing what he could to keep this to himself.
Right now he was coming back with their tea that he offered to make, setting it down with a smile and looking over at her.
“For you, madam.” he teased with a soft chuckle.

Sometimes people leave trash out at the community pickup area in hopes that, perhaps, it will be someone else’s treasure. It usually isn’t but it makes for fun window shopping, and can feel like a glimpse into someone else’s life.
While i was out for my morning jog i came upon these items all shown in the location and order they were placed in. I like to think that whoever they left them, did so as a message of hope to anyone stuck where they are.
A baby bed, a car seat, a book on learning to love, the game of Risk, books on managerial accounting and finally escape from the cubicle!
Here’s a young woman who left her dreams, her career behind to be a mother and a wife but lost her identity in the process.
Now, with her little baby grown up and off to preschool she finally has some time to catch her breath, consider her needs. It’s a risk but she decides to go back to school to study managerial accounting. A promotion like this will improve her chances of getting out of the cubicle and into an office of her own.
And now she’s moving to a new more spacious place where her daughter will have her own room!

Embracing a Different Path: Coping After Learning You Won't Have Children
Shaina Tranquilino
December 13, 2023

Life often presents us with unexpected challenges, and one of the most profound can be discovering that having children of our own may not be possible. The emotional journey following such news can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. However, it's crucial to remember that there is light at the end of the tunnel. In this blog post, we'll explore several ways to cope and find joy in life after learning you won't be able to have biological children.
1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: The first step towards healing is acknowledging your emotions. Allow yourself to grieve, as this loss is significant. It's natural to feel sadness, anger, or confusion during this time. Find a supportive friend or partner who will listen without judgment, or consider seeking professional counselling to help navigate through these complex feelings.
2. Connect with Supportive Communities: You are not alone in this journey; many individuals have faced similar circumstances. Reach out to support groups or online communities where you can connect with others experiencing infertility or childlessness by choice. Sharing experiences, stories, and advice can provide solace and make you realize that hope exists beyond biological parenthood.
3. Explore Alternative Paths: While it may seem like the end of the road for becoming parents, there are various alternative paths to consider when building a family. Adoption allows you to give love and care to a child who needs it while creating a fulfilling bond. Similarly, surrogacy provides an opportunity for those who wish to experience parenthood genetically but cannot carry their own child.
4. Rediscover Your Passions: Infertility struggles should never define your entire identity or purpose in life. Take this moment as an opportunity for self-discovery and rekindle your passions outside of parenting aspirations. Engaging in hobbies, pursuing new career goals, travelling, volunteering, or focusing on personal growth can bring fulfillment and happiness.
5. Nurture Relationships: While the path to parenthood may have changed, the love and connection within your relationships remain unchanged. Strengthening bonds with your partner, family, friends, or even becoming a mentor to a child in need can fill your life with joy and purpose. Cherish and invest in these valuable connections that enrich your journey.
6. Seek Professional Guidance: If you find it challenging to navigate through this phase alone, seeking professional help from therapists specializing in infertility counselling can provide immense support. A trained counsellor can guide you in processing grief, managing stress, improving communication with loved ones, and developing coping strategies tailored to your unique situation.
7. Embrace a Different Perspective: Remember that being a parent does not solely define one's worth or purpose in life. Many individuals without biological children lead fulfilling lives by channelling their nurturing instincts into careers or dedicating themselves to causes they are passionate about. Explore new perspectives on what it means to be fulfilled and redefine success based on personal values rather than societal expectations.
Discovering that you won't be able to have children of your own is undoubtedly a profound challenge that requires emotional healing and readjustment of expectations. However, finding acceptance and embracing alternative paths can lead to newfound joy, purpose, and fulfillment in life. Surround yourself with supportive communities, seek professional guidance if needed, and remember that there are countless ways to make a positive impact on the world beyond traditional parenthood.
Ultimately, this journey presents an opportunity for growth and self-discovery—an opportunity to embrace the beauty of life's unexpected turns while building resilience along the way.

Don't mind me, just having a moment under the cut. No spoilers.
I'd still rather be playing it than at work, but as I'm reaching the end of BG3 I'm dragging my heels, playing more and more slowly, making my sessions shorter, all because I'm getting that feeling of low-key yet persistent sadness, the same one you get when you finish a really engrossing book.
I don't want it to end! I've loved spending more time with my horrible broken rat man, I've loved meeting the companions (those whom I actually did, you know, meet Gale I'm so sorry next time buddy), I've loved not knowing what's going to happen next or who I can trust. You only get to experience something like this for the first time once.
Mistakes were made, critical rolls were failed, entire areas of the map were missed, and I wouldn't have it any other way. No doubt I will return eventually to do things properly and see the content I missed, but for now, gentlemen, it's been a pleasure.

Parenthood: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Unconditional Love
Parenthood. The word alone conjures up images of tiny humans, sleepless nights, and overflowing laundry baskets. But beneath the surface of these familiar tropes lies a profound truth: parenthood is not just about raising children; it’s about a profound inner transformation of the parent. It’s the most honest journey of self-discovery and unconditional love. The quote, “Parenthood is not…

Forgotten by Family, Remembered by Love
Her family forgot her birthday, but an unexpected act of kindness left her in tears. 🌸 Don’t miss this heartwarming story of love and resilience! ❤️ #EmotionalReads #KindnessMatters
The leaves rustled in the gentle breeze as the birds chirped happily, gathering in their usual huddle to catch up and plan their day. Morning slowly descended upon Mumbai’s skyline, the sun playing hide and seek with the horizon. As the day progressed, the birds’ cheerful chirps gave way to the cacophony of honking traffic and the angry shouts of passengers hanging from buses and trains, all…

Feeling Lost? Embrace the Detour! 🗺️
Okay, let's be real, life rarely goes according to plan. Sometimes it throws you curveballs, detours, and unexpected roadblocks. But what if those twists and turns were actually leading you somewhere even better? 🤔
Embrace the Unexpected
Instead of freaking out when things don't go your way, try embracing the detour. See it as an opportunity for adventure, growth, and self-discovery. Who knows, you might stumble upon something amazing that you never would have found if you'd stuck to the original plan.
Rewrite Your Narrative
We often get so caught up in the "shoulds" and "supposed tos" that we forget we have the power to rewrite our own narrative. So what if you took a gap year instead of going straight to college? So what if you changed careers at 30? Your journey is yours to create, so embrace the detours and make it your own.
Ready to embrace the unexpected and rewrite your story? Check out my shop for designs that inspire adventure, self-discovery, and a whole lotta "carpe diem" vibes. ✨

A photo I took of a #waterfall at Lock 2 #park, Akron #Ohio... and yes that's a tunnel / secret area behind the waterfall. Observe how the water goes both ways... I want to fly a drone in there so badly. If anyone gets permission and flies one in... Please tag me.
