UnderConscious!

In a timeline of Undertale, one of Ink's vials spills into Papyrus's spaghetti on accident. When he eats it, he gains the ability to travel the multiverse while asleep, through lucid dreams.

Lucid (his multiversal nickname) is anonymous and simply referred to by his nickname, or 'just some Papyrus AU'. One time, he finds his own brother and interracts with him, Classic having no idea that he's talking to his bro. When Papyrus wakes up, Sans has a lot of explaining to do.

Meanwhile, Ink noticed how different the timeline is from the others. It's beginning to overload the AU, so he splits it from Undertale to make an AU/AT. But something goes wrong. Sans, and everyone else, is gone. Papyrus Lucid is left alone... with the sole exceptions of Frisk and Chara. Chara links onto him, and they go into the multiverse, but.. they don't wake up this time. They're trapped in a world full of weird skeletons, many of whom look like his brother for some reason, some shortstack who keeps trying to find them in this mess who Chara notes doesn't have a soul, and a weird corruption taking over from two twins locked in an eternal war of the emotional scale.

But when he's caught in between the fight, the realisation comes to him of why he hasn't come back yet. He's still asleep, but he can't wake up.

He's dead, and the murderer is the one person who's still in the AU. Frisk.

Every monster has two layers of consciousness.

The first layer of consciousness:

Inside is the real world, and monsters will construct what they think of themselves.

The second layer of consciousness:

It is the world they dream of and their truest appearance. (This layer of consciousness monsters can't feel it)

Combat system:

Human beings

Kindness: Human beings enter the first consciousness of monsters, enlighten them to a certain extent, and make them feel happy.

Fight: enter the second level of consciousness and kill their true selves with words. In reality, monsters will become "consciousness lines" because of the death of consciousness

("line of consciousness": that is, when you kill monsters, they will turn into an invisible line and follow you, and then LOVE will increase. )

Peace Line: The first level of consciousness is extremely resistant to others entering their meaning, and they will condense into attacks with consciousness.

Slaughter Line: The second level of consciousness is that they can hardly resist the enemy's attack, and their inner fear is the words that attack them. Only those who are strong inside can endure these attacks

A few monsters will open their hearts to their relatives, friends and lovers, and let them enter their second consciousness to chat with them.

An exercise in trying to understand what my underconsciousness is working on at the time..

And investigating the difference between images and words as mediums. They are both a communication form, they both are very different standing alone than with other of its kind, or the other kind. But images is silent. Words have a sound. My theory is that images forces us to participate in another way, we need to use another sense or part of ourself to read them. Words are so used, settled and full of associations. Yes, I’m having a blast.

I suddenly remember one day when I was 6 years old, I cried in my house because I was feeling homesick. The house was a shelter but the feeling of home lies within my mother. She went out somewhere along the way that day, so I had to come home first with my relatives. An hour felt like eternity waiting for her to come home. It was devastating.

For years I have forgotten about that day, until today I felt it again. But the difference is, this time I can’t count by hours, because she was gone for eternity. This is devastating.

Days before she was gone I was feeling lost, it’s as if there’s a broken link in my underconscious, a big one.

But then again, I know for sure she’s happy now. And I should too. Well, if I were to feel homesick, I might as well be grateful that I knew what home felt like.

I didn’t understand why I started making these collages, they stand out from the project.

I have always worked intuitive, but has been ashamed because it is not an academic approach, or rather: its uncomfortable to not be able to explain why I make things I make. Yet, I experience that looking back at my work some time after, it is always so clear to me why I made them. Like I don’t have any contact to how I feel about things when they happen, but something in me knows. I guess that’s why make visual work in the first place: this need to digest something invisible that’s going on and express it. See the invisible in front of me.

One symptom for people with PTSD is memory loss, to protect them from unprocessed memories. So for this project in particular I understood intuition can be a tool to reviel what my underconsciousness only knows. So I am now working directly with intuititive work, as an active experiment: and the form is collage.

So these works are for now called “I don’t know yet”.
