ya know something really funny I’ve realized, if you’re a neurodivergent mun, you will almost never be able to write your muse neurotypical even if they are. Especially if you’re autistic 💀

Unless you’re so amazing at blending in no one can tell you’re neurodivergent at all (and let’s be real, if that were possible we’d all get along in society way better than we do), you’re almost always gonna take things that happen in interactions the way you would in real life, missing ‘obvious’ things your muse wouldn’t, but you would.

And it works great when I write Al or Lucifer because the autism leaks into this autistic character, but I’m at a wild disadvantage when I’m writing idk someone super perceptive like Husk who wouldn’t miss this obvious cue or take a question in this way, but I do 😂

and sure, maybe some neurodivergent writers are REALLY good at separating how you write your muse, but in my experience with my neurodivergent friends I often see traits I know they have leak into their muses, and to be honest it’s adorable and heartwarming

☘ - Is there anything about Wesker you wish would've been expanded upon more by the games or by other media?

[His relationship with Alex - there's a lot of fan debate back and fourth about how much he interacted with either of them. A lot of people think he and Alex never knew each other and yet Alex has a portrait depicting them both as adults and refers to Wesker as her brother. I feel like the sentiment in the way she talks about him implies she and Albert were closer than fans or existing lore would suggest.

Maybe not inseparable as they lived busy lives and were under Umbrella's thumb - but there clearly was some recognition there that they saw each other as family.

I don't think Wesker would pose for a painting with Alex if he didn't think of her as somebody important to him. I don't think Alex would insist Albert was her brother unless she truly felt they were. Considering how calculating and overt both were about seeing themselves as above human weakness - indentifying each other as family feels deliberate.

I wish Capcom would expand more on them. Hell do a game where they actually interact - develop they relationship.]

really random thing, that i wanna mention but because dash chatter reminded me of things, and a muse i haven't thought about in years--

but mun fun fact: ages ago i actually had a muse who fell under the disability umbrella-- a youngish (he was somewhere in his late teens, i think--) boy named Kennedy, or Kenny for short-- and while i can't recall if i ever gave any backstory for his trauma, or what it was, i do recall that he was mostly mute-- communicating mainly via writing or sign-- and of course body language cues, but i feel that bit kinda goes unsaid--

... do not consider it a compliment. there is something deep and awful hidden beneath that gleaming coat. years of harrowing actions- malicious decisions and excruciating consequences- have worn this vessel thin. it pulses weakly, its exterior eroded from all the years spent scrubbing at it, removing even the most minuscule specks of wrongdoing. creating perfection at the cost of learning from such mistakes, however painful. you wonder if you ever would have been liked for who you really were. you understand that there is no going back and finding out.

how does your muse handle grief?

[Wesker doesn't.

Or at least I don't think he handles it well.

He has had very few attachments over his adult life that have been impactful enough to cause him to grieve those people after they died. I think the only three people he truly missed were the Birkin's (Annette and William) and his sister Alex - there's some indication in the way his messages are written in the series that suggests he wanted to save the Birkin's and get them out of the city. While I don't think anyone else was aware of it, he probably did mourn the fact that they both died instead.

With Alex it was more of a grief associated with the fact that they were separated when they were young and that they never really regained their closeness.

In both cases Wesker handled the grief like it was something ugly. Something he needed to "clean up" within himself quickly before anyone else saw it.

I don't think he cried - I doubt he's ever actually cried in his whole adult life. But he likely just shut down and went catatonic for a few days after the Birkin's deaths. They fate likely hovered in his thoughts even while he was working on his own plans and made him more withdrawn and quiet.

Wesker grieves alone. He crawls into dark rooms, he sits alone and just processes his thoughts quietly. Because of that I don't think he ever really "gets over' it when he looses someone - I think he just learns to push down the pain and pretends that it isn't there until he's tricked himself into believing it.]
