i made this in a sickly haze.... i uploaded her to youtube as well feel free to check it out. under the cut is a Huge Ramble abt sum context / what happens In My Mind... also their Fancy ballroom fits n whatever

yk how theres a ball/fancy party or smth? yeah i needed stupid designs so i cranked these out might return and color them but i basically based varian n hugos design off of these just dressed down...

Anyways.

uhm i might write a Whole fic abt this with Oomf but uhm.

this takes place during the events of vat7k about a year after varian initially left, he returns to corona w his friends to find the library and rapunzel and eugene throw him a surprise birthday party. and in true disney character fashion, something horrible happens on his birthday. the gang gets caught witnessing / overhearing plans to assassinate the princess tonight. or maybe its gonna b a murder mystery party gone awry- havent decided. the group splits into two groups, the detectives and the protectors. yong and nuru are the detectives, theyre looking for evidence they can use to prove this has been planned for a long time. hugo n varian r tasked w making sure rapz n eugene done die sum horrible death as they hang out at the party. did i mention the party is The royal ball. so everyone is in stuffy/fancypants fits.

the whole running gag was gonna b rapunzel and eugene having like fifty near death experiences n its always like, Unknowingly. and hugo and varian r stressed out of their mind.

the reason varian n hugo r on Protector duty is coz theyre like Uhm. we're better at Improvising stuff. We can curve this and try n get the Killer to mess up and leave a trail for nuru n yong to go after.

anyways this animatic takes place a bit after like fifty attempts (cartoon ass flower pot almost crashes on their head, they watch someone spike their drinks and hugo runs over and drinks them both followed by an antidote varian just made, they walk through an archway and just barely miss the guillotine positioned above their head okay you get it just Silly cartoonish methods of assassination)

A Lovely Night takes place after Most of that so theyre very tired, the two get locked onto a balcony and r forced to kinda js Watch rapz n eugene hang out. varian takes a seat n is trying to sleuth out whos tryna kill his sister, he has an imaginary cork board w strings. hugo is kinda like "mann theyre kinda cute tgt. see two ppl locked on a balcony alone under the night sky would consider this romantic, goggles." n then Lovely Night!

uhm and the afterwards i think theres a figure approaching eugene and rapunzel so the two literally make a makeshift rope and throw themselves down the balcony to save them but boom they played into the assassinators plan! they were tired of varian and hugo getting in the way so they were js gonna kill em too. n then this is when rapunzel n eugene step in, n save them yeah and then they tell them everything and all is well and good and the assassins r behind bars...! Segment end....

i never really enjoyed the episodes on the island during s.2 (it’s been two years or so since i watched the series fully, idk the names <\3), what are your thoughts? what do you think the island added to the series besides run time and jokes? the only part i really liked about the island eps was when they had the totem that made them see what they really, REALLY wanted in that moment and how they kinda reflected that throughout s.3 (i can only think of rapz and lance rn. rapz wanting her parents = losing them by their memories being taken away during s.3, and lance receiving wealth and stability by being a part of rapunzel’s crew)

The island gave us Rapunzel and Eugene's island outfits, and I won't hear a word against them. XD

Honestly, I felt like "King Pascal" was just "Pascal's Story Redux". We didn't need another episode where he felt all left out. (Though Lance had some absolutely amazing moments in that ep, and again, we got to see Rapunzel and Eugene's island outfits for the first time.)

I did like "There's Something About Hook Foot" more than I thought I would, though. As much as people disliked his presence on the journey, I didn't mind it, and I adored that Seraphina is a plus-size mermaid and is described as stunningly beautiful. That episode also allowed us to see Rapunzel and Eugene at odds with one another which is good! It's not that a couple fighting is "healthy," as some sources might have you believe, but allowing them to have their own personalities and not always agree with one another is not a bad thing. Not to mention, they did healthily go about their conflict resolution, and it was interesting to analyze each of their sides of the argument.

Eugene thinks love is hard work. The only other long-term relationship he's been in (that we know of) was with Stalyan, and if that wasn't hard work, I don't know what was! Not to mention, his own experience courting Rapunzel has been difficult. Frederic resisted the idea of Eugene being with Rapunzel for at least six months, calling him her friend to her face. Eugene thinks love is hard work because he feels like he needs to always appear perfect to be seen worthy of Rapunzel. Rapunzel, on the other hand, thinks being yourself is what it takes. Her only experience with romantic love is with Eugene, and he fell in love with her because she's her. To her, loving Eugene is easy, and it seems to be easy for him to love her. If love is hard work, is she not working hard enough? Is he not being his authentic self and hiding who he really is from her? Does he think she's not being her authentic self? There's a lot to unpack under the surface.

This episode also canonized mermaids in the universe, as well as Vodniks, which I think is just swell. Plus, it gave us level two of the Smolder: the Simmer. Can't go wrong. XD

I agree with you about "Happiness Is..." being the best one of the group (even if it is a sort of anti-drug allegory). It was very funny, quite touching, Eugene looks amazing with green eyes, and we got level three of the Smolder: the Blaze. I didn't know I needed two more levels of the Smolder in my life, but here we are! XD

I don't mind the Lorbs existing, but their execution wasn't my favorite. But they are further reminders that Tangled does not take place in our world, if little tropical leaf people with German accents exist.

So, fun fact about the series, they wanted S2 to be in a different location in every episode, but that cost too much in location production. So instead, they were in a new location in almost every episode, with pit stops in Vardaros, Terapi Island and The House of Yesterday's Tomorrow.

Mayuri, on the other side just accept it, hoping that she'll get better job. Once, Jason only giving her job as a cosmetic sales, but Jason see her great potential and quite impressed with her schedule planning.

Jason then gives her position as Vice Assistant, one level below the Assistant, Morgan Roberts (@mukankei08 ). The CEO thinks that having 2 assistans will make his job easier. And Mayuri, just flows with it...

Let's talk about Cass betrayal, shall we?At first I was sure I know where this episode head to, the whole thing will be self-proclaimed prophecy and it will be Eugene who betray Rapunzel and I was exited to see I was right, but also weird out why we never find out what happend in the room. But I thought it was a red herring and then... Cassandra just grab a moon stone? Why? Did something happend to her in the room, was she ploting it ever since her hand become black pouring evil to her heart, or it's not real Cassandra at all? In one hand we could see how bitter-sweet her relation with Rapz really is, even if she never like to admit it, she was jealous of her. Tired of begin a servant, never sure if they can be friends and true equals, so I can see her doing it. I wonder how does she ever know what may happend under moon stone influence, with make evil clone theory possible as well, but I think it don't have as much of an emotional weight if real Cass is just somwhere else, trapt in that room. I think we all can agree on one thing. We need more answers then ever.

Cassandra turned around and sauntered leisurely down the corridor, a mildly horrified Eugene staring after her. Ah, man....how she had missed that expression! Her dashing friend had been rendered speechless. Momentarily, anyway. Cass popped off over her shoulder as Rapz continued to gush over the new pet name, “At least Genie’s better than ‘Geepers’ or my personal favorite -- ‘Gigi’.” Eugene froze as an odd little strangled noise escaped his throat and it sounded as if he had suddenly forgotten how to breathe. Both women were facing him again, not saying a word and looking at him....expectantly...? “Wuh....heyyyy. WAAAAITTAMINUTE,” he said with dawning realization, as Cass's smirk deepened and Rapunzel began giggling, “you’re....just...” “You should see the look on your face!!!” Rapunzel erupted in peals of laughter. “You see, Rapz, that was a prank,” Cass laughed throatily as she walked back and shared a fist-bump with Rapunzel. Eugene dramatically folded his arms and scowled. “Aw, c’moooon,” Rapunzel interjected. “You shouldn’t pooouuuut -- you know it’ll leave unsightly wriiiinkle lines on your faaaaaace,” Rapunzel sing-songed. She sidled up to Eugene and continued, “Don’t you,” and pinched his cheeks, right under his cheekbones, “Kyoot Wittle Gigi.” Eugene attempted to roll his eyes and burst out chuckling instead. Rapunzel had that effect on him whenever she pinched his cheeks; an instantaneous champagne of mirth would fill Eugene’s chest and effervesce into laughter. It worked every time.

It’s payback for CassAndra and there’s nothing he can do to stop it

I'll visit Disneyland this month, and I'd like to see as much Rapz and Flynn as possible. They're in Fantasmic and the Mickey's Magical Map thing... and... anywhere else? Thanks a BUNCH.

Well, hello! Nice to finally put a name to those asks! ^_^

Ohhhhh, yes, they are. You have definitely come to the right person! I have finely crafted Disneyland experiences for several of my friends, depending upon their tastes and specific interests!

First of all, how long will you be there? Are you only visiting Disneyland, or are you also visiting California Adventure?

Rapunzel and Eugene are in Fantasmic and Mickey and the Magical Map, as you said. Rapunzel is also in the parade Soundsational! But that’s not all!

When you are standing in the Hub (the circle area on Main Street, right in front of the Castle) looking at the Castle, off to your left, there is a little extension of Fantasyland called Fantasy Faire. In this area you will see an area covered with a big purple canopy. This is the Royal Theater. Go over there and look at the schedule to find out when the Tangled show is on! Rapunzel and Eugene play themselves in it (while all the other characters are played by Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones).

Hot Tip: If you wait after one of the first two performances, there’s a 95% chance that Rapunzel and Eugene will come out after the show to do meet and greets! (If you don’t feel like waiting around at that time, they also usually do meet and greets in the first part of the day under the trees just outside the Royal Theater. Be sure to ask one of the Cast Members in the area when they’ll be out, and they’ll give you the best time to line up, even if someone else is doing meet and greets when you get there.)

While you’re in that area, there are some fun little Tangled things to look at! A statue of Rapunzel’s tower is right in the middle of the square, and if you look around the area, you’re likely to spot a few wanted posters for a certain ex-thief! (They even got his nose right on one of them.)

Now, if you’re spending more than one day at the resort and also going to California Adventure, there are a few Tangled things to do there, too. In Hollywood Land, there’s the Disney Animation building. This is a nice place to just sit and watch for half an hour or so, cool off, rest your feet. All around you are screen depicting music, animation, and the animation process of several Disney movies. There’s an I See the Light segment for this, plus, it appears briefly during the When You Wish Upon an Star finale.

Also, the night time show at California Adventure, World of Color, has a brief moment of Tangled, though it’s not the highlight of any of the segments.

And that just about sums up all the Tangled stuff there is to do, short of shopping.

❝ Rapz! ❞ Cassandra called as she wandered about the gardens in search of Rapunzel, finally spotting her sitting out under the gazebo. Fidela followed her close behind, eagerly nuzzling her shoulder with her snout. The poor horse had been itching to get out for a proper ride in Corona’s forests, so why not invite the princess out for the ride?

❝ There you are! I’m takin’ this girl here out for a ride and thought… maybe you’d like to join me? ❞ She smiled as she leaned in and gave her a little nudge with an elbow, hushing her voice ever so slightly with a grin. ❝ You can bring Max along, too. I’m sure he’d enjoy some time with the filly, eh? ❞

And, of course, it wasn’t ALL about the horses spending time together…

Rapunzel jumped, startled out of her focus. She’d been painting some of the flowers there, just sketching really. But when the sun hit the gardens at just the right time of day, the colors were some of the brightest she had ever seen. She was planning to re-create them along the headboard of her bed someday. 

But the sound of Cassandra’s voice sent all that tumbling from Rapunzel’s mind. She dropped her paintbrush into the can of water, excitedly running towards her friend. “Yes! That’d be great,” she cried, skidding to a stop beside her friend. Rapunzel pushed her hair away from her face and grinned. 

“You’d like that too, wouldn’t you Fidela?”
