Sometimes you just gotta beat some sense into your friend.

I got to play Tryxxie during this fight which was a blast, to say the least. She was a level 12 sorc with amped up versions of empowered and quickened metamagic. I was thinking I should play as trying to non-lethally bring down Ryybyn but how could I not play with those toys?

I started this entire set over a month ago and this was the part I was looking forward to illustrating most. Tones really made it compared to the pencils.

I feel like Ryybyn being a giant draconic snake monster at the time makes it a bit too ridiculous... but at least I left out that they were also on fire :’D

Last set! All of Ragnaxxas corruption was purged from Ryybyn, leaving them as a withered husk. Also I totally broke down sobbing like a bitch when Tryxxie mentioned the song. ;_;

I thought this whole session was super emotionally intense but OH BOY just wait for the next set!

Something was bound to succeed in devouring Ryybyn sooner or later. Also, that’s no angel, that’s Ragnaxxa the Eternal Night. 

Ryybyn’s still being a piece of shit to the rest of the party and feels more like they owe Tryxxie than anyone else. So I asked the DM about it expecting he would arrange something to keep Ryybyn in the party and instead just like... completely facilitated me splitting everyone up. Next session’s gonna be interesting.

Last session was a giant escape room mansion and Ryybyn spent most of the time being hangry and tearing up the place looking for food. Then the mansion would reset and undo all their hard work, so they took out their crankiness on Alison who deserves so much better. ;_;

At least Ryybyn paid for it by the end of the session.

I’ve been fucking dying to have a good chance to use Countercharm and so of course when we fight a boss who flings Suggestion every other turn, Ryybyn doesn’t even have the Countercharm ability available to them! At least, they still have advantage against charm effects, and shrugged off all her Suggestions but fell to an illusion. 

Ryybyn normally auto-consumes essence (the others get a choice) and when the Wisp Mother died she exploded into a massive amount and I was like, oh shit, Ryybyn’s already extra reaver-y they don’t need to be more so! but this time they were allowed to resist consuming it.

This is from a couple sessions ago, the party crossing the Ocean of Guilt, but the monologue is something I’ve been sitting on for ages and figured this would be a time for it. I scripted this but never drew it until now because there will be a callback in comics for the recent session. Of which I’ve scripted 30 pages. So it may take a while. |D

Death has been unkind to Ryybyn and uh. They’re being super shitty to everyone else! They very quickly consumed too much essence from other reavers and it only made them hunger for more. The others tried to stop Ryybyn eating more and getting worse, which lead to some conflict and we very nearly had PvP going on.

Ryybyn’s insane abilities to regenerate health makes them surprisingly tanky - they survived massive damage from both bosses we faced this session, which had the bonus of knocking them back down to normal hungriness. We’ll have to see how the next session goes.

Ryybyn nabs a kiss before running off to fight the BBEG.

The Inquisitors were all ready to help us fight the Hierophant/BBEG but they were prevented from getting anywhere near him by their remaining heart chains and whatever force controls that. Ryybyn’s soul sickness / zombification has rapidly been getting worse and they really fear dying alone without being loved... and here’s Lutz who’s been crushing on them... Also someone else really important to Lutz just died and Ryybyn worried about him having regrets over them too.

and then GUESS WHAT. Ryybyn did die. Along with the rest of the party. The Hierophant’s ritual to open a rift into the afterlife went awry and a surge of necrotic energy killed everyone. So uh... we’re all assuming the next story arc is in the afterlife.
