we have!! Aldiirn standing up to Lae'zel!!! I'm SO excited to have this part out. I felt Lae'zel's attitude shift about the egg in-game was a little sudden and wanted to tie it into her own situation post creche. Give her and Aldiirn some common ground & understanding since they both relate to the egg in their own ways. Now we have a beautiful coparenting scenario ???

Aldiirn's mind is screaming at him since subservience is his "oh fuck how am I going to survive this" response, but he's seen with the githyanki that if you want your way you gotta flex your authority. Hooboy does he ever flex all 5'3" of his height on Lae'zel. Digging really deep for "how does a drow noblewomen handle this."

Shoutout to my non-tumblr buddy Thwarp for helping me figure a jury-rigged method to transport the egg. A chance to show off Aldiirn's courier skills, moving special condition cargo.

2 Years of Baldur's Gate 3!

IIRC Aldiirn didn't have his start until September and a lot of my early comics were Act 3 based so technically I have a little bit more time to make it out of Act 1 comics before the actual 2 year mark. I'm pretty proud of how I've pushed myself while also keeping it fun for me against my work art. I hope to keep going for a while yet!

Aldiirn, Expert Transporter ready for all your cross-surface delivery needs! After a literal year I settled on a design for the drow courier armour variant and did up reference for it, and spiffed it up for the upcoming BG3 Yearbook Zine. I'll have a version with details going up later once I finish the rest of the zine art.

The courier ratings are adapted from Death Stranding's porter grades, explanations under cut:

Iaurrhen is a courier & logistics clan operating in the Underdark. It rates its clansmen on Points which get divvied amongst 6 ratings:

Courier is a measure of how many jobs have been completed for the clan, not necessarily deliveries given that the clan has expanded into other services since its inception.

Threads measures how much has been done to assist other couriers and clansmen.

Service is for aid to common folk and adding that extra flair to deliveries.

Encounter is ability to deal with hazards and hostile entities while protecting the cargo, and includes handling cargo with special conditions like extra fragile or faerzress sensitive.

Efficiency is the ability to complete orders with a minimal amount of resources, such as getting a good deal when acting as a proxy trader.

Expediency is the ability to complete orders in a timely manner.

Courier Title is formed from their highest rating combined with their Courier rating, so Aldiirn's high Service rating and middle Courier rating make him an Expert Transporter.
