“Mijung-ah, can you make 5 iced americanos for me please?” Hye-jung asked before disappearing into the back. “yeah sure, unnie...” I sighed as I began to make the drinks. “yah, aren’t you supposed to be off right about now?” I turned around at the sound of a familiar voice to see my best friend, marco. “yah, isn’t it about time you start acting like you’re from gwangju instead of New York” I retorted smirking in victory of making him speechless. I laughed and turned back to making the drinks. “anyways, when do you get off?” he asked. “probably not til late tonight-“ marco whined as he three himself onto the counter “-unless, you get hyejung unnie to let me off early” I said smiling hard. Marco sat up and looked at me with a cocked eyebrow “and how am I supposed to do that?” he asked. “come on you know hyejung has always had a crush on you, just use that killer smile thing of yours! unnie?!” I called as I grabbed the drinks and put them on a tray before walking over to the counter and calling out the order, a tall handsome guy walked up and thanked me for the drinks before walking out of the cafe. boy was he handsome. “yes mijung what is it?” hyejung asked coming up beside me. “actually, I have a question” marco said sheepishly. “oh what is it?” She asked, I watched her eyes turn to hearts and almost puked. “uh, well I was wondering if mijung could get the rest of the day off so we could hangout?” marco said blinking a couple times “hmmm I don’t know” she said. “please noona?” and with that, marco’s eyes became little curved lines and his lips curled into a hard smile. “oh! oh fine!” she said. I held in a laugh as I ripped off my apron and grabbed my sweater “thanks unnie!” I said as marco and I ran out of the cafe, leaving hyejung to wonder what just happened.
