Akoko family in the evening. Y'all know how I feel about having to deal with two toddlers at once, but by now Pataki has learned his toddler skills and is pretty independent, which makes a huge difference to me

The boys are fairly outgoing, and each brought a girl home from school. I mean I think Oraora and Bierdna just snuck out, they don't go to school

Wakin is well enough today to come with T'ika on her daily excursion. This morning the destination is the public bath house, where they're supposed to have to go to because their class isn't supposed to have a tub at home. but truth be told i've been keeping the green stench clouds away with water buckets from the well (thank you sun&moon!) hey if the rules meant i couldn't green the hygiene bar at home at all it shoulda bloody said as much

Miretsi's got issues

and T'ika's not having much more luck befriending Ulli Vuosttamus either. Oh well.

And home again. T'ika grills up some corn for all

And the pets have taken their Throne. One thing I actually think Sims 4 does better (gasp!) is 'pet hanging out'-animations. Mutia and Sky specifically are such drama makers but have a bed on the lot and they'll turn themselves into part-time statues of themselves. it's weird

By golly, I think it's well past time to go see about the Nubbes! Several of the family members' wardrobes get a bit of a downgrade, especially Imole's, but she doesn't look too devastated about it at least

Arvi and Bierdna head to the market for adventure, but as always, succeed mainly in people-watching and catching up with old friends.

Meanwhile Rieban takes a nap and recovers from plagueness

Imole gets a baby bump except no she doesn't because her toga doesn't have a preg morph :\

So she gets to have a pretty dress after all

Bierdna catches a fish as big as herself

which her dad cooks up for dinner

while she makes a fluffy friend.

Baby Gáranas fell victim to the I-forgot-the-baby-existed-until-now phenomenon. He's doing well though!

The kids' room is getting crowded.

Hi folks! Took a tiny breakbut I'm back with more time test challenge thingy. It's time to check on the Vuosttami now... here's their new house

The kids are in school now, and their mothers are determined to see them do well

But making friends is also important

As the only senior witch around, Doaivu feels duty-bound to pass on her gift to the younger generation, and she has a special place in her heart for disadvantaged kids like orphan slave girl Miharo.

It's plague time at the pond dwelling

but it's also strawberry season! Johka doesn't love having to work more to make up for Idja and Ulli being stuck in bed, but their reduced appetites also mean more strawberries for him!

And it's a very good thing, because Johka's a growing boy

He grew up with a tan, and it seems to have mapped weird on his new frame :) that'll fade but hey, maybe he has late onset vitiligo, who's to say

His new haircut shows off his elf ears because YAAASS

The next day, at the beach

Oh no, Johka has an eye for the girl his brother has an ever fonder eye for! But so far she seems less than impressed

Ditto with Didan for Inti. Might be that his wife was on the lot at the time, he's agreed to stupider things before, but yeah, what were you thinking Inti? And just when things are almost working out with your ex as well. Good thing Entzu wasn't here to see this foolishness

Inti's daughter Poza makes a friend in Ulli over sandcastling

Elsewhere, both Doaivu and Ausarta get fit by splashing around in various bodies of water

How does that work with the hot spring? Can I get in peak shape just sitting in the bath for a while?

On the way home, Johka meets another girl who is also super cute

This evening at the pond dwelling, the plague is at the door

Or you could say it's Wahi, route failing on the porch and coughing the house full of plague as revenge. Idja is also suffering, but he's already been out of it for a while by now

The children are early risers. Idja's feeling a lot better this morning, though he still looks tired

Ausarta takes the children out for a hike, and returns to see her little doggy entering elderhood

Is Sarta commenting on her wife's looks or what

Meanwhile half the Tuarua family is just hanging out up on the path

Doaivu feels like playing fairy godmother today and magics up a whole lotta fitness points for Aroha, fulfilling a wish

And that evening, Idja is birthdaying

Huzzah! Didn't get makeover pics of him because I'm the worst, BUT check him out on his next day trip to the beach

Today at the Ketas, people are bringing people home from places. Suyana does not work in construction though? I guess if there's no one in that career pool to 'bring coworker home' from the game just picks a random ass neighbor. She's sweet to Tunu anyway. Oh and also promotion! Well done Dids

it's also Nifesi's birthday! yayy

Final Keta household part of round 13! The one in which I had Waiata take Nifesi to the beach for impromptu playdating

Water balloon splash fruit games are so great for getting all those cousins met. Waiata is crazy good at sandcastles (she has 8 mechanical points) setting a great example for her niece Nui.

So, highly successful little outing. Nifesi even manages to meet a person she's not related to. Here she is with Ulli Vuosttamus, getting very excited talking about balls.

Back home, the weather turns for the wetter

And thunderier.

All the adults and dogs make sure to run very close to the fire and flail around, because sims -_-

Fortunately the children were all napping indoors at the time

And, of course, it's still raining heavily, so here's the same scene less than a minute later

That evening, Yiyara outgrows toddler mode

Also hello everyone and welcome back to the Vuosttamus household, where newlyweds Arvi and Imole are about to move out and start a family of their own, when

Tapu there only stayed to watch for a minute and disappeared when the actual baby appeared, what a weirdo

But yeah welcome Ulli!

The bloody newspaper delivery person just hung around for EVER, trying to get into every shot, succeeding here. You're not supposed to exist yet lady, I just needed the bloody paper to move bloody Arvi out

speaking of

Very not on theme taxi as well, I know. At least Arvi, Imole and Spot are out of here now, making this household somewhat more manageable.

Idja and Johka play nice together and are fairly self reliant, for toddlers at least

Their moms are very preoccupied with baby Ulli, but there's also just so much to in general, with the garden, the sheep and the dog

Momma Doaivu sometimes just stays in her sleeping clothes all day.

Their dog Kia makes an affectionate and responsible babysitter.

But you also gotta grow up fast in these bygone times

and Idja is no exception

Good thing too, because Sarta and Doaivu are going to need all the help that they can from capable hands now that the sheep are multiplying

Morning at the beachview hut. Teina's enjoying a breakfast of cloudberries.

Soon after, she and her older sisters head to the beach.

and what a day it was

Aroha and Oraora are enjoying their increased independence, what with being not such tiny children anymore

but sooner or later, duty calls them home, where their dad has his hands full with the youngests Pouri and Maru. Oraora helps out, teaching Maru her words.

Meanwhile Aroha's being helpful with the cooking, which is highly appreciated, especially by dad (and me)

And things are about to get even better. A birthday is due.

Two birthdays actually, in a way

Pouri and Maru are toddlers no more! And this household just dropped, like, 3 difficulty levels

part 2 at the Vuosttamus household... Johka befriends the lambs

That evening, Doaivu joins her wife in Elderhood

and their daughter Ulli joins her brothers in Childhood

And their makeovered looks, as per usual. Doaivu ditches the warrior aesthetic of her youth on favor of ethereal vibes, and Uli's rocking it in rustic

Idja befriends this cat called - gasp - Piggy! P sure this is the cat that ran away from the Kejis because of fire, unless the game spawned another stray with her exact coat and name (wouldn't be surprised tbh). Unfortunately I wasn't able to adopt her and make sure. But hey that's kinda neat

Next morning features a random Miharo sighting. And that's all from here for now

Last Vuosttamus segment. Eallin pops by to visit her auntie

You ever just like, play punch-you-punch-me with your elderly aunt? Also hi Piggy the cat

Turns out Eallin isn't actually feeling too great, but Doaivu's been practicing her magic and has a trick up her sleeve

She's cured! Good job Doaivu. Actually since there's a plague going on, I figured more people could do with a bit of magical curing, so I sent her to the Forum to find more sufferers

The forum is kinda chaotic

But eventually one plague afflicted sim shows up to get cured. And I guess Doaivu's unofficially the island's travelling doctor now

Well it was less eventful than I'd hoped, but still

Upon coming back home, another patient walks by

and Johka comes home with excellent grades, good job! Ausarta want another dog and had been befriending this lil guy called Menice, but we didn't manage to adopt him this round

... I just missed it. I have no idea what happened, but best buds since forever Aworan and Idja are beefing over something. Aworan still finds him super hot, and Idja is relatively chill about the whole thing, but Aworan is furious

Johka broke the bucket toilet, and Aworan immediately went and used it, making everything worse of course. Aw, Johk, you were doing so well.

Good thing he's handy. Don't ask me how this fixes a bucket, it's sims.

His gf is charmed. As is his mom (ok actually it's because queer queen Para was also in the room and Sarta find her super hot. but it's funnier if we pretend not to know that)

Aw.. It's actually kinda sad because class stuff means I'll have to break these two up at some point

Idja apologizes to Aworan for whatever happened earlier. I hope they can get past it. and Miretsi's also here now

And we end on Ulli and Johka enjoying a berry breakfast

Vuosttamus household now, where Ausarta notices she's lost her sixpack, oh noo

Meanwhile Doaivu is trying to pass on her skills to their children, but Idja needs to be excused from class as he's coughing exaggeratedly

I do not kid. Dude's making a dome out of his spine with that cough.

Apparently Johka was ill as well, but he had a way easier time of it. I don't remember him even coughing once

So he gets to go to the beach with Ewa! Lucky guy

So many friends to be made! yeah Ulli came along as well. Relationship development is happening with Inti and Entzu in the background whether I want it to or not

... moving on.

ah, nothing beats a soak in a hot spring on a spring day

Back home, Doaivu cooked up some magic sugar. I've had the Apartment Life EP pretty much since it came out and only realized now that sims can drink that stuff. Guess that shows how much I play supernaturals normally

Anyway, having no idea what it does, let's give it to this bedbound child to drink why not?

I mean for all I know it might straight up cure him

oh no guys I think I gave E to a little boy

still not wanting to check, at this point I'm guessing this potion maxes out a sim's niceness points for a time? Problem is Idja was born with maximum niceness so there's no way to tell

Moea and Waiata drop by for a glass of sheep milk and it starts to rain, riveting

And Idja is back to normal, by which I mean no observable difference at all

So yeah I checked the wiki and I was right that it maxes out niceness points and has nothing at all to do with curing disease, so this was 100% a waste of a potion. Oh well

just as little Ulli grows into it.

They get to know their uncle Indartsu

and their cousin Eallin tries out her new magic skills

And next door, so does her twin brother
