How moonlit the night ... It's a very popular Ukrainian romance. The words are written in 1870 by Mikhailo Starytsky. It is said that Mykola Lysenko composed the melody in 1885 as an aria for an opera. But this is a modern parody, a very good political song written after the Russian aggression on Ukraine with new words. The artist appears to be Pavlo Kust. I had my divorced dad's support group yesterday and we talked about how sometimes it's harder for men to find the language to express their feelings. I think it's hard for anyone to use language to express their feelings if they don't have the vocabulary. We all have a choice whether we want to learn that language to express ourselves. It's never easy - by nature it's a challenge because the more you're able to speak the language of your feelings, the more you're vulnerable. But the promise of being able to communicate and connect far outweighs the risk - at least that what I've always believed and want to keep believing.

I went to sleep and woke up melancholy - missing my daughter. I try to tell my daughter that I love her everytime I talk to her. With tweens you never know what response you're going to get, but it's important to me and show her and say how much I love her everyday.
