Maybe this overthinking it, but do you think theres any significance to the blue/red colouring when eddie asks buck to parent in 7x01 (specifically when buck is like uhhh me? With the ambulance in the back) and then the brown shirt/navy jeans outfit eddie is wearing when buck is in the room with chris + giving chris the shannon letter, and then in 7x10 when eddie is wearing brown pants/navy shirt when asking buck to parent chris but then the blue/red buddie outfits during the goodbye scene. Like it looks like the same colour pallettes to me but used opposite to the scenes they are paralleling to 7x01. (Hopefully this makes sense lol)

Hello my love, first of all, I'm gonna tag @stagefoureddiediaz because I noticed a lot of this because of her but I'm not exactly sure if it was in one of her metas or one of our conversations lol so shoutout to Kym 💜. Second, you absolutely make sense.

Personally, I see that scene as having a lot more yellow elements than blue and red unless we are counting the sky and I try to avoid using the sky in this stuff, but I will say that Buck's turnout being open to show the navy shirt and the framing with the ambulance in the background do add up to having that red parenting element.

BUT, I think Buck's arc in there ties to his queer arc and the way that Chris is a key piece of Buck accepting everything he is. Part of his journey has to involve explicitly accepting his role in Chris' life. Chris has a lot of blue and yellowish elements in his room, the book, the bedding, his wardrobe, and stuff, and the burnt orange color Buck is wearing also plays into it.

The switch with the brown and navy is definitely something to tie it all together, I'm fully with you there. It helps pull that connection.

And obviously, that leads to the blue and red shirt combo with both of them, but also, Buck is in yellow pants, so he's in blue and yellow too, also tying this to Buck's queer arc, and the blue and yellow elements present there as well.

So this is a long-winded way to say absolutely, I do think it is supposed to tie it all together, but there's more to it with the yellow elements also tying everything to the queer element Buck (and buddie) need to fully allow Buck to step into his role as a parent for Chris.

I got a ticket for 5/5's afternoon show (so the second last performance), I DID meet an oomf who said they managed to snag a ticket for themselves on their own (without a Professional Ticket Snatcher) so its not too impossible to attain on your own I think??? (I didn't get a CN number until like 2 days before I flew back home soo)

Uhhh apparently there's a whole industry/scene for this you look for listings on xianyu/taobao etc for people to buy on your behalf, you have to give them your real name and identification number (so for foreigners it'd be your passport number) for verification purposes during entry so yknow yea

You could cab directly to the venue but my friend signed us up for the free shuttle bus (they had freebies last year but not this time) and before we boarded they gave us like free water and bread (apparently free raincoats too on rainy days) which was nice of them but also insane because. the venue doesn't allow you to bring food/drinks in so a lot of people were leaving A LOT of unopened bottles near the gate and I saw a venue staff just throwing them all into the bin (HOPEFULLY JUST TO CARRY THEM AWAY IN ONE GO AND NOT FOR STRAIGHT DISPOSAL….) They drop you off near the venue but you don't go in directly, there's a 'Doctor break room' where most people are seated waiting to be ushered in batches into the venue, but also a lot of people standing around on one side of the room swapping/offering merch

ohh yeah so almost every track would start with like a faction logo transitioning in from 3d to 2d which was cool but also amusing because it was honestly bringing quite the 'I will Make Your Company Logo Into 3D Fiverr' vibes

Since I missed the first piece idk if any of The Dreamer(s) got 3D models but The Pilgrim(s why are they all singular) had Kaltsit playing on that piano (there was also a replica of that piano on stage the white one complete with 'Arknights' text on it lmao) and Siege being cool running around in 3D (and ofc Eureka during her denpa number) it was very cool but man... its a pity the other characters in the group just get their live2d png during the beginning and effectively get sidelined lool compared to say Phenomenal Agents idk if i like this tradeoff but that eureka bit was so good sheesh #NOVAFIVE⭐ULTRALIVESWEEP

The other stuff was really great too looking at you Lone Trail medley…!!!!! like I think I was into Man from UNCLE at the time (the movie), and probably had already gone thru the tag on AO3 and new stuff wasn't rolling out fast enough at the rate I was reading, and I was like. hm what else is spy-y. oh yeah that 007 guy. Noooot sure if I was already aware of 00q already by then? I feel like I might have seen the National Gallery scene clip by then? or maybe not idk. some gifsets or posts prooobably had crossed my dash so I was aware of them, probably? I don't remember exactly anymore

tbh tho I felt well-equipped to do this bc when I got into stevetony via [redacted] but ultimately thru MCU and went to AO3 and started at the very end of the tag (that was a thing I did back then ig, I don't know if I do it now lmao...), it was all comics-'verse stuff lmao. but I read it anyway! and it was characters I was kiiind of familiar with and events I knew not at all, but I was like. well. if it's important then I'm sure it will come up in the fic, and/or I'll start picking it up the more fics I read. I think it helps that the older stevetony stuff on AO3 especially by and large was (hopefully still is? hopefully it's still up there) is by a lot of great comics-verse writer heavy-hitters, so like the writing itself was very engaging and also I did indeed start picking up the "essentials" I needed to know, both in terms of characterizations/character dynamics, and also universe stuff.

but also lowkey I feel like in general... like obv being a fan of the material you want to be at least to some degree aware of the actual stuff in the source material. but ALSO I do lowkey feel like it IS very possible to engage with fandom for fandom's sake, you know? Like, you can be here for the stories told through the collective storytelling vs necessarily having to ONLY be able to get to the fandom through the source material first.

the caveat here ofc is like. obv then be aware that you are engaging with the material through a sort of... what do I want to call this, perception filter? at at least one level of remove/abstraction a la cuil theory? like, by engaging with the media about the media, be aware that there's a layer of interpretation already filtering the material you are seeing. although idk, I guess in a way this is only really suuuuper relevant imo if you're trying to write meta (which I feel like is a lot less common these days, rip, remember when we used to have meta...) or do like interpretations or analyses or even judgments on certain things, if that makes sense? like just be aware you're reading the tweet about the article vs reading the actual article itself, and it's cool to be like oh what you said in this tweet is interesting in itself & let's spin off of that- but be aware that it may not be exactly what the original article was saying. This though is getting into kind of a tangent and is me kind of also gesturing at the like. ppl who do Pass Certain Judgments on the source media despite not engaging with it. but I feel like that's less common in the 007-osphere and/or possibly. less relevant because lowkey in the 00q sphere we work with like certain sets of fanons as given anyway.

not entirely certain! i think im usually decent at balancing humor in the right situations and worldbuilding?

actually getting the brain to settle down to write ok while true, setting that aside, probably not knowing what to cut (i tend to want to put all the details i can think of in the fic, which isn't really conducive for a variety of reasons)

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

depends on if i'm actually familiar with that other language or not, and how easy it is for the reader to get at translations (hover text or subscripts, depending), i myself probably won't be capable of doing so.

I was considering putting together a personal summary of art for this year, and with many of the pieces being Guilty Gear (mostly A.B.A) fanart, I decided to try if I could fill a separate summary with just A.B.A pictures... And so, lo and behold.

Without counting the first two months, when she wasn't announced for Strive, I only did NOT draw any A.B.A at all on just ONE month... Which is uhhh:

... Well, we can all agree that she's definitely been my muse this year haha..

While I have liked A.B.A before she dropped in Strive, I prefered to be more focused on other stuff til she got added in. I really expected to wait more for her arrival, but I remember it as if it were yesterday!

This year has been a rollercoaster of emotions and changes for me, but having some familiarity in drawing the same homunculus has been... comforting? And has given me a lot of inspiration and ideas to practice, drawing-wise, not to mention that her return drew me back into GG, too! What else... It made me pick up Frankenstein and I've rambled so much about her to my friends that even the ones that aren't into these games sometimes send me A.B.A stuff because of course LMAO. Also she's very hot to me which never hurts lmao.

I've said it before but her character means a lot to me, specially her arc in Strive, and it was released during a time in my life that I really needed it. Trying to understand A.B.A, be it by reading her lore, discussing it with people or writing my own rants about her character has, in a certain way, helped me confront some uglier aspects of myself and inspired me to hopefully improve. While I'm not much of a tattoo person myself, (I love learning about them, but I don't know how I'd fare with the needles myself lol, and etc) I'm seriously considering to maybe get a subtly A.B.A-themed tattoo someday, because she means THAT much to me. I hope that doesn't change..

Next, I want to give a huge shout-out to the A.B.A fan community I've had the pleasure of interacting with yer. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. First, thanks for the art, posts, tags and more that you create, as the site had a drought of them before she got added in. But of course there's people who have been more constant than me in representing her before Strive, and I tip my hat off to them.

Next, I think some of the warmest reception that my art (and ramblings) has gotten has been in this part of the fandom, too. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Whether you're a regular and I often see your username appearing in my notes, or someone that appears less often. Thanks whether you like, or reblog, or just read. Thanks specially for the nice tags some of you leave because they always make my day. Thanks for even sticking with this blog when it digresses from GG and even delves into more personal matters.

Ultimately, I think that it's beautiful that (even outside this site) there's been a group of very varied people who all came together to share their joy, and/or relatability of a fucked up digital homunculus whose song claims that she isn't able to fit in this world, that just wants to make a difference and be free. I also love Paracelsus, Paracelsus fans get behind me but hands down my fave that kickstarted all this is the homunculus lol.

Readers, I wish you Happy Holidays, or a pleasant time regardless if you don't celebrate. While at the moment I'm typing this there's still a bit of time left til New Year, I do also hope 2025 is kind to you and brings you good things.

hi hi!! i saw your reblog of your therapist au art and noticed in the tags that you dont mind answering questions. i hope its alright if i ask you one or two!!

so, you mention in the background section of the au that moon was used to trap souls inside dreams (or something similar to that.) will that be addressed in the future?? i feel like thats prime material for angsty stuff and moon feeling bad about what happened in the past :< not to mention the whole fazbear entertainment thing lending you the therapy bots and them linked to dream experiments is shady (as per usual with fazent.)

(also not as important, but is the whole "trapping souls" thing a reference to somniphobia, the book in the tftp series?? i actually havent read the story personally, but from a brief summary, im getting those same vibes lol. could be entirely a coincidence, but if not, thats cool either way!!!)

and on a more lighter note, can they eat stuff in this au? if so, id love to know their favorite ice-cream flavors! its a weird question to suddenly ask but for some reason this au is giving me "its a summer night, im up way too late, and im eating ice-cream when i shouldnt" type of vibes

Ooh yay hihi I love AU asks!

So! The dreamscape is going to play a big part in the therapy bots AU, and the angst and drama is very much ongoing - it might seem like fun and games at first exploring the therapy themed concepts, but you’re absolutely right, there are massive Somniphobia style undertones there. Moon’s dreamscape is designed to pull you in and it can be addictive and …energy consuming. Or should we say life force consuming?

Moon meanwhile? He feels closer to you in the dreamscape than in the waking world …at first. All the souls he steals become a part of him, in a sense. Remnants of them continue to float around in the dreamscape if you look hard enough, like when you start peeling back the wallpaper of a new house that used to belong to someone else. For the longest time Moon has not really been able to interact in the real world, and honestly most people in the dreamscape very rarely interacted with him either up until the very end, being far too wrapped up in exploring the vast dreamscape which moulds itself around their wants and needs. He’s been kind of used to his role as a passive observer, or a creature without much identity at all. But this time around, because you think he’s a therapy bot, he’s a part of the action. He’s actually being played with. This is unusual for him, and his feelings get a little more muddied over time.

Sun and Moon can absolutely eat in this AU - it was one of their ill-advised “upgrades”. And as the three of you start sharing some soul energy - uhhh, bond with each other more closely, they start to gain the strangest senses too. Senses they’ve never had before, like smell and taste. And they do not know what to make of this. But they do know that Sun likes neapolitan flavour (don’t ask him to pick just one, they look so pretty together!) and Moon likes mint chocolate chip flavour (yep you heard me, mint is good). And that having ice cream late on a summer night is what it’s all about (well, ask Sun about that one - Moon thinks you ought to be sleeping, but he’ll allow it this one time).
