You had already taken your alien-ish friend out of the box and laid it down on your bed so that it would be more comfortable. Once again you had doubted yourself over how comfortable it could possibly be, but as long as it couldn´t act in a way that showed uncomformity then it would have to deal with what it was given.

You had agreed to have lunch at your uncle´s house the next day. But in the meantime you had texted your aunt Maddie to ask her to come over to the house you were staying in under the pretense that you would share some pastries and talk about life for a while.

And so you sat on the couch waiting for time to pass and hoping that Maddie would be there soon. And, just like an angel sent from heaven, the doorbell rang and you sprinted to open the door.

On the other side awaited your lovely aunt with a huge smile on her face which reflected your own excitement. Hugs that lasted a little more than necessary and greetings were exchanged, you invited her inside and prepared tea, all while she talked about how much you had grown, how much she had missed you, etc.

"So how��s life? Any cute work friend I should know about or something?" Of course that would be between the questions, it was an aunt´s classic.

"No, everything has been rather boring actually, I mean, I was working at the salon back at home last month because they were short on staff, but truthfully? The gossip was the only entretaining part" You answered as you stirred your coffee, she had chosen chamomille tea.

"Uhhh, does that mean you can braid my hair now?" She asked with a smile as she sipped her tea and proceded to add more sugar to it.

That was one of the reasons you loved Maddie so much (not the sugar part) but the fact that she never juged your style of working, you were a freelance artist, so all the time you weren´t actively working on a project you would spend doing some minor jobs. Usually people would be all over you telling you to ´get a real job´ or stuff like that, but never Maddie, she was your ride or die, you could tell her that you were gonna climb the Everest and she would cheer you from the bottom.

That was why it came so handy that she was a vet. She probably wouldn´t even question the fact that you had brought a weirdly shaped animal all the way across the state. She trusted you, and you trusted her.

"Maddie, there´s something you should know, and I need you to remain calm and trust me, okay?"

She looked at you for a few seconds, her expression getting serious, and as she looked you dead into your eyes she asked softly:

"Is it that you are gay?"

"What! No!"

"OH, sorry, I thought this was like you getting out of the closet or..."

"No, I didn´t mean that I´m not gay, that was not what I was going to tell you!"

"Wait, so you are gay then?"

"Does it matter?"

"No, I just thought that was the topic we were discussing"

At some point between the exchange you both had broken into laughter, and somehow half of your coffe laid then spilled onto the table.

"I-I am so confused hahaha" she tried to speak in between laughs, but you could see how she was struggling to breathe, laugh and talk at the same time.

While still in your happy state you cleaned up the coffee puddle with a rag and took in a few breaths to relax. Once there was air in your lungs once more, and she had calmed down as well, you continued.

"I brought an... animal with me from home, and it kind of seems to be in like a coma? I would appreciate it if you took a look at it." You explained.

"You brought an animal in a coma all the way to Green Hill? That could be very dangerous for it" She scolded you slightly as she got up from her seat to follow you to the bedroom.

"I know, but it´s like nothing I had ever seen before, and I only trust you for this"

"Does this have something to do with your mother not letting you keep pets? Because you are an adult, you can have pets if you take care of them"

You stood in front of the door and looked at her a little bit as if she had lost her mind.

"No, that´s not it, but you have to promise that you won´t say a word to nobody"

She answered an "I promise" under her breath and you opened the door slowly, allowing her into the room. Maddie didn´t scream, neither did she look back at you as she entered the room. You stayed a little behind, just waiting for some type of reaction.

Maybe if you had been by her side you would have seen the way she frowned, as every little detail on the creature in front of her fell in place perfectly with the description that Sonic, her son, had given her about the hedghog who tried to kill her husband.

She knew it was a dangerous being, but laying down on that bed among the fluffy pillows he just looked... so calm.

Silence reigned the room for a few moments, and for some reason you felt that as if the air had become thick. She approached Shadow and lifted his limbs one by one, making sure that none of his bones were broken, even squeezing a little harder than necesary. And then, Maddie turned around with a smile, walked up to you, ruffled your hair, told you that it was unlikely that the thing would be asleep for longer than three days and left with the excuse of having to buy groceries.

And so, after the sound of the front door closing, as you were looking the way your aunt had left you were once more on your own.

And, if you hadn´t turned back around, you would have probably missed the sight of red eyes fluttering open.

my fav bbc merlin fics

Uhhh, I just wanted to compile them all as of May 2025. This list includes overwhelmingly Merthur, since I tend to get attached to a singular ship within a fandom.

1. And like the cycle of the year, we begin again - katherynfromphilly (Complete, 207k words, Mature, Merlin/Arthur): Set post-canon in the modern day and totally functions as the season 6 we all deserved: Arthur rises up from the Lake of Avalon, and Merlin, who has mostly adjusted to modern life, has to deal with ancient emotions resurfacing, all while teaching a disoriented and traumatised Arthur about the modern world. I devoured this fic in two days; the writing is beautiful, the pacing is genuinely the best that I've ever seen for such a large word count, and I felt every emotion under the sun.

2. Tributes - TheAvalonian (Complete, 87.5k words, Mature, Merlin/Arthur): A story with the characters of Merlin that is set in the Hunger Games universe, with the events taking place a few years before the trilogy. It's enemies to lovers and has a lot of hurt/comfort, and some of the subplots genuinely had me in a chokehold, along with the main plot, of course. Not for the faint of heart, though, since there is a lot of character death and injury, as can be expected from a Hunger Games story, but no major character death.

3. it'll be a cakewalk, as long as it's me and you - qigiined (Complete, 5.1k words, Mature, mainly Merlin & Arthur, but could be read as Merlin/Arthur): A short Arthur-returns fic with Merlin trying to deal with the fact that Arthur's immune system cannot sustain 21st century life, and also Arthur being himself despite not knowing a word of English.

4. Not In This Land Alone - torakowalski (Complete, 36.4k words, Teen And Up, Merlin/Arthur): Modern AU in which Merlin gets a job at Buckingham Palace, where Arthur is the newly appointed King of England, and they're not supposed to ever really have interacted but they do anyway, and also there's a plot to kill the king, as per usual. Featuring magic and sentient paintings. Very fun to read.

5. glow in grey - helloearthlings (Complete, 3.3k words, Teen And Up, Merlin/Arthur): Modern AU, outsider POV of Morgana and friends witnessing Arthur and Merlin's relationship for the first time, after Arthur having years of bad luck with partners. Short and very, very sweet.

6. Zero Gravity - Sorceressofdragons (Complete, 12.7k words, Teen And Up, Merlin/Arthur, only visible to people with an AO3 account): Basically, Arthur and Merlin get trapped together in outer space, and discover they really, really like each other. Genuinely one of the sweetest things I've ever read, and the space nerd in me was freaking out.

7. The Crown of the Summer Court - astolat (Complete, 24.3k words, Explicit, Merlin/Arthur): Merlin has to partake in a competition in order to fight for his rightful claim to the throne of the elves (he is half-elf), choosing Arthur as his champion. They only realise belatedly that this also means Arthur is now de-facto married to Merlin. The characters are all portrayed shockingly accurately despite the very non-canon plot, and some of the more descriptive parts blew my mind.

8. Emrys the Really, Truly Terrible - lindenwaverly (Complete, 15.2k words, Teen And Up, Merlin/Arthur): Arthur decides to appoint Emrys as his court sorcerer. Merlin... still hasn't told Arthur he's Emrys, because he doesn't want Arthur to feel betrayed. Also, basically everyone knows they're in love. The writing is wickedly funny, then there's a sucker-punch of angst, and then it's super funny again.

9. burn the page, my little dark age - lancelotdulac (mrcogito) (Complete, 33.1k words, Teen And Up, Merlin/Arthur, Gwen/Morgana): Modern AU with magic but also kind of a reincarnation AU, in which Morgana gets to become the person she deserves to be. Very found family, very whack plot, and the writing style is actually to die for, like it has me in a chokehold. Both the character study vibes and the interpersonal relationships between the characters were portrayed so beautifully that I tore through this story but also never wanted it to end.

10. You Have To Chase It - arthurandhisswordbros (Complete, 42.4k words, Mature, Merlin/Arthur): Heavily Arthur-centric; his life as he rises up from the Lake and adjusts to modern life, realises he doesn't have to be alone, that it's okay to feel emotions and make friends and have hobbies and feel alright. Also, he meets a mysterious wizard person online that he gets along swimmingly with and who reminds him all too much of the Merlin he used to know (and love). This fic made me so, so emotional. Arthur's journey throughout it was achingly lovely to follow along with, and the ending pays off so well.

11. the true physics of all things pathetic - deniigiq (Complete, 26.6k words, Teen And Up, Gwen/Arthur, sort of Merlin/Arthur, almost Merlin/Arthur/Gwen, sort of Lancelot/Merlin): Okay, I know the relationship tags are confusing, but to Merlin's defense he really doesn't want more people he loves to die, so he just kind of rejects everyone. In the beginning, it turns out Merlin had given up his heart in a magical transaction to save Arthur at Camlann, and in return, Arthur has had to give up his vision. Merlin cannot truly die, and his friends find him. This fic is a strange (but very beautiful) amalgamation of POV shifts, character dynamics, some plot, and slice-of life that comes together to make a gorgeous whole. The writing style is genuinely one of the prettiest things I've ever lain my eyes on, and I would await every update hungrily when it was still ongoing.

12. Lines in the Sand - Papysanzo, s0mmerspr0ssen (Ongoing, 49.2k words 12/25 chapters as of May 2025, Explicit, Merlin/Arthur): Set in a modern-day Camelot city that Arthur basically owns, and Merlin is homeless and needs employment so is semi-manipulated into becoming Arthur's live-in sub. This story is definitely NOT for everyone; the power dynamics are messed up and the consent aspect is extremely dubious, or even non-existent, in most cases. But that's why I like it -- the dynamics are explored very, very well from Merlin's perspective, and despite the extreme power imbalance, the characters still feel like themselves. I'm so upset this fic went on hiatus because of all the hate; I hope the author feels okay enough to come back to it someday, because even despite the fact that the future of this fic is uncertain right now, I love it so much that it has still made its way onto this list.

13. Wooden Dragons - CaffeinatedFlumadiddle (Ongoing, 78.6k words 15/20 chapters as of May 2025, General Audiences, Merlin/Arthur): In an attempt to save Arthur's life at Camlann, Merlin accidentally transports them both back to the time of their parents' youth. They try to navigate this world of familiarly unfamiliar people whilst also not giving their true identities away, whilst ALSO coming to terms with the secrets Merlin has hidden for so long and the shift in their dynamic. All the different character relationships and dynamics explored in this fic are so amazing, especially everything involving Ygraine. I love the fact that both Arthur and Merlin have to come to terms with the guilt of some of their actions because their past is now their future. I'm usually not even a fan of time travel fics, but this one was just too good to pass up.

I'm sure this list will grow.

Polyship - Traditional/FolkClothing - Scarring

This started as me joking abt peeling potatoes being the ultimate date idea, I love peeling potatoes so yeah

So basically this is my idea of the different uhh dynamics between each of these guys,

Anyways I'll explain some things bc I've been thinking about this for a while now

I feel like Aiden and Oliver (my Bonnie) were dating for a while now since they've known each other for a long time, Aiden probably confessed first (at like 15) since hes a bit uhhh act first think later. Oliver was like "cool, wanna date then?" And they've been together ever since

Bon is obviously crushing on Oliver, but knows hes dating Aiden, starts hanging out with Freddy (Oliver asked him if it was cool for him to bring him in order to help him out since yknow guitar) and they hit it off, instead of falling into a codependent situationship like my freddon au, they start dating (bc of the little detail of Aiden and Oliver already dating)

So turns out, Aiden and Freddy are kind of developing feelings for each other, Freddy feels SO guilty bc hes crushing on his best friend boyfriend who is also his best friend, he still loves Bon to death but he cant just pick one and forget about the other he just can't. Aiden is having his own internal hell because he loves his boyfriend but yknow why the fuck is he also crushing on his best friend???? But since hes always been honest with Oliver (it took a while to get there) he decides to just tell him. Oliver has never really been someone to care about society's rule, so he's like "ok? Date him then I don't really mind or care dude, it's fine" so now Aiden has to talk to Freddy about this BUT Bon is also in the picture in case he forgot

So Freddy has been feeling awful for days and has no idea how to tell Bon about what the fuck is going on. Aiden decides to talk to him, and is honest, I like you, I still love my boyfriend, I asked him and Oliver said he doesn't mind, but I know about you and jhon- uh Bon, but if hes cool with it id love to take you out on a date or something I don't know...

Freddy of course is feelings #guiltyaf but also relived to know that at least

1. His feelings are not one sided and

2. Oliver is fine with the idea of sharing a partner

Of course hed like to accept but says he needs time to talk to Bon about it but that he also kind of feels some kind of vibe there and leaves, giving him a little bit of hope at least

Now talking to Bon? It was hard, he loves him but knows hes insecure about this topic (love, dating and stuff) so he tries to be as gentle as possible and tells him, I still love you, but ive been developing feelings for Aiden and uhmm recently he told me that hes been crushing on me and already confirmed with Oliver, and hes fine with it so he wants to like uhmm take me out but I didn't want to give him an answer until I talked about this with you and uhhh yeah I think thats all I still love you I promise I just need to know what you think about this

Bon is surprised, stunned, shell shocked even. He takes his time to think and talk to Freddy. Long story short, he accepts but needs a hell of reassurance that everything between them is fine. After this emotional talk, he timidly asks Freddy about Oliver, Freddy is surprised to see that he still has some small bit of hope in there but smiles and squeezes his hand, he tells him that he could give it a shot and hed be completely supportive and help out if he needed it, but he didn't know how or what would Oliver say if he did ask him out

So how do Bon and Aiden start dating? Well since they're metamours they have to at least be neutral to each other, at some point when they are all hanging out Aiden and Bon would have to interact more, turns out Aiden is kinda cool and okay maybe a little cute. Aiden thinks Bon is nice and its fun to watch him get nervous about horror topics, over flirting with Freddy or other things so they like each other at least enough to consider each other a friend. Time passes and turns out they like-like each other, by this moment they're used to the whole 'polyamory' thing and after giving a heads up to their partners (they both knew way before them) they go out together and well now they're dating too! After talking Aiden also hypes Bon up to ask Oliver out, he tells him "look ive seen some sparks between you two especially when you're playing the guitar, I know Oliver and im sure he'll accept!" So he does, and surprise! He accepted yay!!

So Bon and Onni have some story, way before meeting the animatronics he used to hang out with the nightmares (he used to be way edgier than how he was when he met the gang, his teenage angst was perfect for them!) And got along great with Onni since they had the smallest age gap (a year) theres two aus where they have a story, one where they were dating and Bon broke up with him due to changing and leaving the nightmares behind to befriend and form the toys with the girls, so Onni tries to get him back but is ignored. In the other, Onni has a crush on him but Bon rejects him due to his father being, well his father and not providing a safe space for his kid to realize who he is (Bon did return his feelings but got scared and chose to flee and then he meets the girls and forms the toys). The story changes a bit depending on the au, but it has the same general vibe, Bon finds him Onni sad at the library looking at his failed test (Onni got in with a scholarship and his ability with the guitar btw) Bon would usually just leave but the guilt kicks him again right in the ass and decides to walk up to him and ask if he's okay, Onni is still bummed out so he just answers by pointing at his test and the big red "2.0" (nota mínima d acá idk) and sighs. Bon knows this will end up in disaster but still, sits down after saying "I'm so gonna regret this..." And asks him if he could help him out, Onni accepts, turns out no one else wanted to help him because of his reputation.

So they start meeting at the library occasionally to study, and to bons credit Onnis grades seem to get better! They start to get more comfortable around each other and they fall back into a friendship, it's sweet, inside that library they get to joke and talk as if no time had passed, it feels as if they were barely 13 again. Bon apologizes for being a dick (he was kind of an asshole for just leaving and ignoring the nightmares) but also he needs him to apologize to those he hurt, Bon knows about his tendency to steal from Oliver and making fun of him, he can't exactly just ignore that.

So Onni does so, because he did feel at least a little guilty about it, especially more now that he had a more... Morally oriented friend/potential future boyfriend? He goes and apologizes to Oliver (and other people he hurt as well), Oliver obviously, doesn't like him and hits him, hard. Twice. A knuckle sandwich just for you! And leaves, Bon after hearing about this tends to his poor black eye and split lip (damn Oliver you had that talent hidden huh) but also "you have to admit you did have it coming" "yeah, yeah I know"

Of course they can feel the tension, they know that the other feels the same way but they dance around each other for a while before actually confessing (because their friends/partners were so DONE with it they had to force them to do it) and start dating

Aiden and Oliver DO. NOT. like him at all but they tolerate him for Bons sake, he did prove that he can handle him and control his destructive tendencies, so they accept him under the condition that he does not try to interact with them, and everyone is content with that, (also Freddy doesn't particularly care).

Fred is still here, by this time the animatronics all know about him and they like him, they're friends, Bon learnt about him some time after dating Freddy and they're also on friendly terms, they like to sing together whenever Freddy allows him to possess the body for a while. Fred kind of feels some sparks with Bon but he doesn't know how to explore this so hes ignoring this for a while (Bon is kind of unaware but he does kind of feel warm inside whenever they're sitting side by side and brushing knees)

Out of everyone, Fred is closer to Auryn (my golden) because they can relate to feeling trapped in their living situation and not having enough freedom, due to different reasons since one is a ghost with no memories of his life and the other is a repressed guy with a controlling family but they relate to each other a lot. Fred and Auryn have been dancing around each other for a loooong while, the slowest slow burn to ever slow burn. But Freddy has been pushing Fred to ask golden out for a long time. And when he's just about to do it, Auryn beats him to it! Damn it Goulding! (Joy helped) he says yes but they have to be subtle because Auryns family is, as said before, very controlling and if they ever found out about this they could take Auryn back to England (mi golden es British 😱😱) to finish his studies there so yeah, it sucks but it is what it is.

Auryn and Bon are chill around each other, not exactly friends but they like the other. Bon is also on the "im scared of my parental figures control over me haha" club so he and Auryn have at least something in common. They kiiiinda have some sort of attraction but they haven't talked about it yet.

But yeah I think thats all, maybe ill pick this up some other time bc its so fun to think about different aus where the super epic polycule exists but whatever

Cloggin the askbox with scenarios is going to be a regular thing now

This time the lovely scenario is gonna be a 6 1/2 hour roadtrip to uh whatever is 6 1/2 hours away.just gonna shove the desert duo,treebark,flower husbands,and an extra pearl into one car because the average car can fit 7-9 people?? (I'm no car expert but hoping someone has a big car then also it's probably gonna be like a 2-3 day roadtrip at like a cute barn airbnb so they only need like two backpacks each max but of course it's only gonna be Scott and pearl that actually brings two backpacks)

No matter who's driving I feel like it's only necessary for Scott to get stuck with martyn and ren even though he could've been with Jimmy (I think pearl is keeping Jimmy with her in the front for the sake to piss off Scott) and then grian and scar would probably be in the back just secretly eating the snacks that they brought.everyone probably is taking shifts of who's driving every hour of so with the exception of grian because 1. He's short I don't think he'd see very much and 2. He coincidentally falls asleep when they're choosing who to swap shifts with?

By hour one everyone is already cranky probably because everyone had to wake up at 4am and then get ready to get to the car where martyn or Scott with the first shift would drive for the hour first.Scar probably supplied everyone (including grian and his sugary mess of a coffee) coffee and cookies for breakfast in which grian gets a sugar rush in the back seat but doesn't admit it.

By hour two everyone is counting down the hours to when they could arrive at the air bnb with Jimmy wide awake and talking with doc and etho on the phone loudly,martyn and ren somehow asleep,and a pearl trying to not get tired on her shift to drive.scott is probably in the seat behind pearl trying to bug her lightly by like complaining often or kicking pearls seat every now and then.Grian is still having his aftereffects of the sugar rush and scar is right next to the sugary rush monstrosity,regretting the coffee and cookies for grian specifically (note that grian had a venti of sugary coffee and like 5 cookies so uhhh)

By hour three it's an official pit stop at the gas station where everyone stretches their legs,wakes up,and gets snacks because you can never have too many snacks . Jimmy's probably on driving duty now with him and pearl at the front and Scott still stuck with martyn and ren in the middle where the three of them hosts a small séance and martyn joking that there might be a ghost waiting for all of them at the airbnb trying to scare them for waking the ghosts up.Pearl this time is the one chatting loudly on the phone with gem and impulse about their fantasy game stuff and grian and scar decide to take it slow for it being seven in thw morning and they both have a small nap.

Hour four is when Ren or Martyn drives and Scott is now finally with Jimmy but stuck with pearl in the middle row and they all start talking (more like arguing) about news agency and undercity related stuff.Grian and scar wake up from their nap and discuss school related things.In short everyone just talks about professional work stuff this hour (yuck)

Hour five is when the coffee gets to all of them with ren and martyn acting out a 2 person play in the very front of the car. (martyn drove the hour before now ren is driving?) Pearl,jimmy,and Scott sit all the way in the back of the car to secretly do make up on Jimmy who is sleeping and grian and scar snack on some food while talking about superhero things and some more work.

Hour six and the half is last hour in which scar drives with grian being the passenger princess next to him as a smug little bird for escaping the driving shifts.jimmy looking at his now makeup face with Scott and pearl laughing at him and martyn and ren finally is quiet and just on the phone.

When they all arrive they all are probably in their own rooms,tired and annoyed.

Oh my stars I love the little scenarios people have started coming up with using the TTSBC cast 😆 I think the conclusion here is not to let them go on a road trip!

I Did Nothing Productive All Day...

If I had the money to fund my own fighting game....well, this wouldn't be my first pick but screw it I'm in a funk and I need something to fiddle with. If I were able to do this I'd like it to be a 2D fighter in a similar graphics engine to Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive. Technically a four button fighter (Light, Medium, Heavy, Dash) but with a fifth "Contract" button which would.....uhhh.....I dunno do some kind of faustian bargain mechanic attack, like the Infinity Stones from MVCInfinite but with even more broken utility and a health cost to balance it? Or fuck it, just have it be the tag attack button for a 2v2 mode. Dash would be a medium strength lunge attack going up to 10 feet.

Actually y'know what? Easy EX Moves at 6% of your health! Just hitting this button (and a single directional input) gives you easy access to otherwise hard to trigger EX Moves when you need it but at the cost of some health. Thing is that spent health is now treated as Provisional Damage, you'd be able to get it back if you manage to perform that same EX Move (and successfully hit with it) using the intended but difficult Meter Burn button input. Of course if you get hit before you do this you lose that spent health permanently. The "Contract" button would stop working the moment you hit 5% of a given round.

I'd have the combo system be KI 2013 to a T, as such it would have a combo breaker system that's actually worth a damn to the point you wouldn't really need a comeback mechanic, having a damage decay to prevent TOD Combo bullshit. Supers would be real time and implement a meter system like KI, two stocks max, at least one of a character's supers would require both bars. I'd of course have a regular NRS style method to use EX Moves, needing at least 50% of a single bar to use. If a comeback mechanic must be implemented I'd have it be a Fatal Blow that does up to 60% damage in one go but then disables your access to EX Moves, Supers and even the "Contract" button. _______________________________________________________ [LAUNCH ROSTER; At best this would more than likely be an indy project, expectations for a big roster would have to be significantly tempered. At best I could see it launching with a minimum of 8.]

FRISK (Was banished to Hell by cultists, now fights to escape this waking nightmare.) A pretty straight forward stance character, changing up normals by switching between the fast but weak Knife, the medium stat Baseball Bat and the strong but slow Axe. Specials and Supers would be the same across all three stances, even having 3 unique specials that allow for instant switching during combos. Would have an exclusive Spot Dodge like Videl, one that can be EX'ed leading into a counter attack. Finally, a secret 10 second super mode that sees Frisk suddenly gaining powers similar to Sans, replacing the spot dodge with an Ultra Instinct dodge and giving brief access to Ermac style command grabs.

CHARLIE (Seek to claim Frisk's soul in a bid to protect them from the rest of Hell.) We have SF6 Manon at home. A decent array of command grabs that see Charlie forcing the opponent into brief spurts of ballroom dancing or ballot. Would also have some short range fire zoning that go about mid range, more for applying pressure than outright projectile spamming. Would also have a "sticky grenade" mechanic similar to KI 2013 Cinder, costing some meter to plant a will-o-wisp (max of 1) that can be detonated to break through the opponent's block.

PAPYRUS (A defective Revenant that has befriended Frisk, the first real friend that he even had.) A character prone to "falling to pieces" much like Nadia Fortune and MK1 Havik, using detachable limbs as both bludgeoning objects and makeshift boomerang weapons. In addition he'd have access to magic "bone traps" that come off like variations of Terry Bogard's Power Wave and Shang Tsung's Ground Skull. Would even have a "Blue Attack" super that momentarily disables the opponent's ability to jump for at least 8 seconds.

VAGGIE (Charlie's wife, helping the princess in her efforts to save Frisk.) Pretty much a greatest hits compilation of Kitana, Mileena and Jade. To this end I'd have her adopt the use of a three sickle blade throwing glaive as both a melee weapon and boomerang projectile, saving her spear for hard hitting specials and supers.

UNDYNE (Hell Knight servant of Lilith Morningstar sent to acquire Frisk before anyone else.) A small vicious collection of command parries in merfolk form, even having the ability to reflect the opponent's projectiles right back to them. Would have a pretty straight forward spear toss and a few takes on MK1 Shang Tsung's Bed of Spikes. Would have an "Undying" mechanic similar to KI 2013 T.J.Combo's Last Breath.

ANGEL DUST (A porn star that needs that 666 Trillion bounty on Frisk's head for..."freedom"...) Pretty much a hyper sexualized version of VS Series Spiderman but with the added flourish of a pair of Chicago Typewriters. Would have the most easy to spam projectiles but with an ammo count mechanic to keep track off, projectiles fired cannot do chip damage to blocking opponents.

FLOWEY (A mysterious entity who has a vested interest in Frisk and those that pursue them.) Smallest character bar none reaching up to Frisk's leg in height. Would pretty much be Smash Bros Piranha Plant with the added utility of vine whipping attacks and "Friendliness Pellets" that can be guided in diagonal trick shots. Would also have a hidden 10 second "Omega Flowey" super mode that transforms them into a hideous monstrosity fastened to the ceiling.

ALASTOR (Seeking to control Charlie, he too goes after Frisk to use them as deal making leverage.) We have MK1 Quan-Chi at home, also a bit of MKX Shinnok. _______________________________________________________ [ARCADE MODE BOSSES]

ADAM (Seeks to use Frisk's soul to complete the "Seven Hearts Ceremony" which will give him dominion over both Heaven and Hell.) Proverbial Goro of the game. We have SC6 Azwel at home. His ego leaves him prone to taunting the player leaving him open to attack for brief moments. Is able to recover health but this also leaves him open to attack.

ASRIEL THE GOD OF HYPERDEATH (In desperation Adam makes a deal with Flowey, dooming the first man to become the new vessel for the very eldritch deity that those cultists worship. There is no Adam anymore, only Asriel Dreemurr.) Final Boss. Pretty much what would happen if GG Justice, MVC1 Onslaught and MVC3 Dark Phoenix hate fucked in a hateful threeway, producing an extremely hateful baby best described as Borderline SNK Boss Syndrome. Would be an absolute mistake to make them playable. _______________________________________________________ [ADDITIONAL ROSTER; Hopefully I'd be able to give these extra characters as free updates.]

ALPHYS (Quit her job at Vox Industries in protest of him using HER tech to try and kill a child! As such she befriends Frisk.) Pilots a mech that would make Tron Bonne jealous. Said mech having a similar fram to GG Potemkin, boasting a host of built in weapons and tricks similar to MVC1 War Machine and Injustice Lex Luthor.

CHERRI BOMB (Angel Dust's ride or die best friend, helping him to acquire that 666 Trillion Bounty.) Pretty much what would happen if Cyrax's infamous Bomb was hit with gamma radiation and mutated into a whole move set onto itself. Normals involve extensive use of a crowbar.

SUSIE (Yet another in an ever increasing lists of demons pining for that 666 Trillion Bounty.) A towering beast with a battle axe, a few rudimentary magic spells and enough mass to and muscle to turn SF3 Hugo into a chew toy.

HUSK (The Radio Demon's slave sent to hinder Charlie and Vaggie at every turn possible.) Basically what would happen if VS. Series Wolverine suddenly grew wings giving him air combo supremacy. Might have access to a "Booze" mechanic that gives him brief bursts of strength and aggression at the cost of sluggish controls.

BURGERPANTS (A disgruntled fast food employee that sees the 666 Trillion bounty as a retirement fund there for the taking.) Has gone completely postal, using the pump action shotgun he got his hands on as both melee weapon and projectile launching device, even uses it to do blast propelled air dashes and double jumps. Has a whole back pack of other severe abuses of the second amendment.

STOLAS (An old friend of the Morningstar family, was asked to keep tabs on Charlie making sure she doesn't go rogue.) We have Smash Bros Ganondorf at home (albeit significantly faster). Borrows a few tricks from the KI 2013 Hisako playbook. Many of his more devastating moves emulate Dracula from the Castlevania series.

METTATON EX (Seeks the 666 Trillion bounty to revitalize his currently floundering fast food chain.) Jojo Poses, Jojo Poses Everywhere. Majority of normals would have heavy emphasis on kicking much like Eddie Gordo and Han Juri, saving his robotic arms for the Heavy button and certain hook shot specials. Would also get a 10 second "Mettaton NEO" super mode gaining air dashes and more hard hitting projectile spam.

LUCIFER (The King of Hell, forced to step onto the streets upon hearing news that his daughter Charlie is "misbehaving"...) Borderline MVC3 Vergil tempered by joke character quirks, would probably be the first to get banned from tournament play. _______________________________________________________ [POSSIBLE GUEST CHARACTERS; Where the real money is made. Would not be even remotely possible to offer these as free updates. Also I'd just bunch them all into a single slot similar to how the DLC was handled in MK9, requiring you to hit down additional times to cycle through the available characters.]

V1 (Ultrakill) (Frisk activated this "forbidden robot" to escape the V's, not fully knowing just what it was they unleashed....) An absolute monster twisting the very concept of the "shoto fighter" into a display of violence and brutality that would make even Akuma wince. I would also have V1 utilize a nasty command grab or two that drains blood from the opponent to heal itself.

POMNI (Amazing Digital Circus) (A client of the Hazbin Hotel, has become fiercely loyal to Charlie for being given house and home.) If DBF Ginyu was shorter and had crippling anxiety, summoning Ratha, Zooble and Jax for an array of MK1 Kameo style assists. On her own she would have "game glitches" that let her teleport relentlessly.

PEPPINO (Pizza Tower) (Papyrus ordered a pizza for Frisk, now this madman is hellbent on delivering said pizza in 30 minutes or less.) Would be grapple and rushdown god devoid of projectiles and other such extraneous abilities, human combat in its most purest form.

ROXY THE WOLF (FNAF Security Breach) (A pizzaria animatronic that Papyrus reprogrammed to hinder the Radio Demon.) We have GG Ino at home. Would also have a "Damaged State" mechanic gaining new more monstrous specials the more damage she takes during the match.

JUDGEMENT (Helltaker) (One of the feared Furies sent to quell the sudden escalation of chaos.) We have MKX Takeda at home REVENGEANCE!!! Would have masochist abilities to hurt herself gaining drastic boosts in strength and speed for brief moments (losing her ability to do combos for the duration).

SPAWN (Allies himself with Frisk out of pure spite for both the Overlords of Hell and the Morningstar Family.) Look I know the legal hoops and budget draining fees it would take to get this guy but just let me dream dammit! I'd have him be the best that MK11 Spawn had to offer with all the bad fat trimmed out, given a good helping of SF4 Oni to give him an added sense of "last person to fuck with".

God, uhhh, it changes by the day. Even now one of these songs is from LITERALLY TODAY, and most the rest are from within the past few months.

Okay, starting from 5, going to my most favorite at 1.

Number 5: Castaway by The Vanished People. I know nothing of this band, just found this song today, but HOLY SHIT. So good, give it a listen.

Next, after that, Number 4: You'll Never Find by Lou Rawls. I am a sucker for swing, crooner, jazz, yada yada, who isn't? Although not exactly any of those, and probably a completely distinct catagory, this song steals my heart.

First two were easy, kinda just coming off the top of my head as "damn I love those songs." Now it gets hard.

Number three, gotta go to: Kiss On My List by Hall and Oates. Hall and Oates have a litany of amazing tracks, but short of some of their other most popular picks, this is my favorite.

To be honest, 3 was the hardest because there are SO MANY songs I adore, but I had to choose something to put there because 1 and 2 are set in stone for me.

Speaking of, Number Two: One Day by Lovejoy. This band has gotten me through shit, whenever I need to get things done, Lovejoy is my first choice, and One Day is my favorite of all their songs. Some of their other choices are close contenders, like Golden Hour, or It's Futile, but they don't have the same sorta "release" One Day does. It's liberating.

The app buffered when I loaded back in and it scared the shit outta me, thought I'd have to retype this all.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Most of Inabakumori's catalouge, namely Lagtrain, Sinktank, Hello Marinia, and Post Shelter. A LOT of Ado, Usseewa ofc, but also Controversy, Ashura-Chan, and so many more. Now, for my NUMBER ONE PICK. MY CURRENT MOST FAVORITE SONG.

Number One: Cult. by Natori.

BEJWJEJEJJSIRJEJDIF. I don't even know what to say. It is such a liberating song, and I feel as though it were made just for me. Like so many songs I adore, it's mainly because of the lyrics and themes. The thoughts of wasting your youth, of struggling under the fear of others' gaze, lacking the knowledge of who you are, just RJTBEJFIBRJRIR. And the fact it doesn't mellow in that depression, it rises out of it. He sings of becoming who he is, doing what he wants, even if he's "Mocked for being arrogant." "That's just who I am," as the translation goes. It's a hopeful song I adore, as I feel it is the song Natori put the most Soul into. He has other amazing songs, Love-Song, Friday Night, Absolute Zero, Overdose, the list goes on, he is undeniably talented and this is far from his most popular song. But especially watching the music video, you can tell this one is the MOST personal. This is a song about HIM. Saying "Fuck it all" and doing what he wanted, despite those who judge him, fighting against the march of time painting over youth, salvaging what he has left to set himself up to be who HE wants. It is such an amazing song, and I relate to it heavily, mainly because I suffer from much of the same feelings he did. Feeling your youth was wasted or otherwise non-existant, wearing a mask so long it becomes you, but also the wish, the ACTION, of fighting against this, becoming that you, in which you wish to be, that you don't know what is. It's something I aspire to. God, Natori is a genius and I love him and his music.

first up: nikki

- farthest away from everyone i see, gotta stand out ig

- for some reason he really loved the whole goth cowboy fit back in the late 90’s…don’t know what that’s about tbh.

- leather jacket is a must in this band, pretty typical

- leather pants as well… both of these items get a 6.5/10, fits the theme but not very interesting

- can’t see his shoes so that gets an automatic zero

- the necklace stands out, along with the chain he’s wearing with his pants, those get a 5/10

- the hat gets a 2…it’s too corny and goofy for me. We all know he’s wearing shades but i can’t see them under that big ass goofy ass hat so it’s also getting a zero.

overall his outfit gets a 6.2/10

next up is: vince

- denim vest is reminiscent of micks denim vest from back in ‘87…I would take off points for a repeat/copycat outfit but…it works in a weird way that only vince could pull off (though not as much as mick previously did). i’ll say 5.5/10

- hate the long sleeve black top though. would have worked better if he went for shorter sleeves. guess he doesn’t want to show off the arms anymore? boooo that’s a mick move, you’re better than that vince! 3/10

- idk if it’s the grass or the black pants making vince look so damn short…idk i’m not really vibing with his outfit here. this photo just looks a bit cursed altogether but this is just badddd…pants are getting a 2/10

- sunglasses are neutral and i can’t see the shoes so both are getting a 1/10

1. Tell us about your WIP!

Uhhhh well I guess my most current story would be my detective story, a only vaguely historically accurate 1950s noir with a little bit of romance, it doesn’t have much of a solid plot but I’m trying to familiarise myself with writing mysteries and stuff! But I haven’t worked on that in a while,,,

5. Top five formative books?

Not sure what “formative” would mean here? I don’t really have books that taught me how to write but books that definitely inspired me to do it would be the Lord of the Rings (even though I could never even compare to Tolkien’s writing style), the Éternels series I read as a child (I wish I could remember the author’s name but I loved those books so much), literally anything by TJ Klune that makes me go “oh wow I want to write like that someday”, also literally anything by Rick Riordan because his books kind of changed my life as a kid, annnnd a fifth…… uhhh I can’t think of one right now :T

My fave would be my 1920s queer coming of age circus story, for now titled “Tightrope and Trapeze” even though that will probably change,,

It’s about a teenage “girl” named Joan who lives in 1921 New York and lives on her own, and she dresses like a guy and cuts her hair short so that everyone knows her as a guy and calls her “John” and only a few ppl don’t know that’s what she (yes, she) was born as. She lives in the streets and roofs as a pickpocket until she joins a travelling circus, first as a minor employee (like a cleaner or ticket seller) then as a trapeze artist once she discovers she has a talent for that. The other circus performers and employees are all some kind of flavour of queer as well, and they’re very found family and all that. My favourite is Phillip, the ringmaster, because he’s everyone’s dad :). She travels with them, and with these new people and experiences, Joan comes to understand stuff about gender and sexuality, and she also falls in love with the circus’ tightrope walker, a teenage trans girl called Donna who’s really sweet and helps her with her training. It’s basically just found family stuff and coming to terms with her sexuality and gender identity (for now I’m keeping her gender vague because I haven’t decided what would fit best but she’d use she/her and maybe (still not sure) he/him) in an era that’s still not very accepting.

// Okay it’s not that good of an opening but I really like this one, it’s from my short story I called “Annabel Lee, Annabel Lee” based on Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “Annabel Lee”, the original being about someone whose true love dies at sea. Mine is a queer retelling where both the narrator and Annabel Lee are women, Annabel Lee being a sailor who finally left to the sea after the townspeople’s pressures against her and her lover, and died there. The story takes place seven years later as the narrator, driven mad with grief, still believes Annabel Lee is going to return from the sea and waits for her every day as she tends to the lighthouse that’s supposed to take her home,,, basically the song is a kind of constant in her life, and she sings every hour of every day as she waits for her true love to come back, and the story starts and ends with the same verses of the song except where the people who claim “it was never meant to be” change between God, their family, the townspeople, and so on. Oops I yapped on a bit but this is one of my fave stories I’ve written ^^

32 published on AO3. If I include unpublished and/or unfinished stories that I have on my laptop I’d say I have a total of around maybe 45?

729,333. Definitely over 1 mil if I count anything unpublished. I didn’t even realise it was that much before this moment.

Lucifer. I may have dabbled in other fandoms in my teenage years but we’re not going to talk about that right now.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Never to Me. It was unintentional really, as it was meant to be the first part of a 1 part story. Certain circumstances lead to me completely losing the desire to continue writing the second part (it’s over half finished!) and so I never posted it. That was like… at least 3 years ago. What is time? I hope to finish it at some point but I’m just too busy these days with work. This is really the only story I’ve left on an angsty note.

7. What the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Like I just said, I don’t do many angsty endings. I love to play with it in the middle of the story, and orchestrate killer cliffhangers between chapters but I like to make everything work out in the end. I always liked the John Lennon quote, “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” So yeah, a lot of my stories have endings that I think are happy. I’m not sure I could say which one is the happiest.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Unfortunately I’ve had a few horrible comments. I try not to think about them for too long though. It’s a drop in the ocean compared to the amount of lovely, thoughtful comments that I get 😊

9. Do you write smut?

No. Far too British for that.

10. Craziest crossover?

Lucifer and Loki. My only crossover really. Also on do regretfully have not finished but it’s definitely out there in terms of craziness.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes, but I feel that it was more of a misunderstanding than anything and the person who did it took it down (along with a lot of others they had posted) fairly quickly.

12. Have you ever had fic translated?

Yes! A reader of mine translated Project Deviant into Russian.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Also yes! Project Deviant was co-written by myself, @oh-mylordy, and @self-indulgent-sapphism. I also started writing one with my beta @notonelineff but we never have gotten around to finishing it. Co-writing is hard. Especially if you’re writing a long project.

14. All time favourite ship?

Deckerstar I guess. The amount of fic I’ve written should be enough evidence of that.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Hm. Not sure on this one. There’s a few I want to finish but I’m still hoping to get around to them like I’ve said.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Uhhh. I feel like I’m decent at descriptions. I try my best anyway. I try to keep things fluid and set the scene in a way that feel natural and not just stick you with a whole block if description at once. I’ve definitely improved at plotting long fics as well I think. I personally think I’m good at writing suspense when it is called for.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I definitely get stuck on words or phrase and will waaaay over use them until my beta tells me off. I’m really not great at keeping things short either. And it’s not even like my one shots keep turning into long fics, but more that I can definitely over describe and draw things out more than is necessary. I don’t really know what else. I’m sure I have many things that I could improve but I do write for fun and so I try not to get myself too down about what I could be doing better. As long as I can convey the story/scene/emotions that I want to it happy.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I’ve tried it a couple of times. Never more than a like or too, just to convey the purpose that I want it to. For example I would love to show Lucifer being omni-lingual more because it was something I did love about his character in the show but it’s so hard to do in writing without making it overly complicated for the reader. Therefore I settle for throwing in a line here or there and leaving it at that. Also, my knowledge of language really doesn’t extend past Google translate so I don’t want to end up saying the wrong thing.

19. First Fandom you wrote in?

Doctor Who when I was about… 15 or so. They are no longer on the internet. It’s probably for the best.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Ahhh asking me to pick a favourite fic is like asking me to pick a favourite child. I really do love the universe we built in Project Deviant though, and the sequel A Glitch in the System. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of plotting and writing those fics, and dabbling in the universe of one of my favourite games. It also allowed me to write a lot of things that I’d wanted to for a while so that was nice.

However, I also really do have a soft spot for All That Remains. Writing that fic emotionally wrecked me but I still love it.

Also I’m pretty proud of Resistance is Futile writing and plot wise. It was just a fun thing that I wanted to write but I was pleased with the case part more than anything. I wanted it to kinda feel like an episode of Lucifer and I personally think it does.

I did a top 3 instead of 1. Like I said, you can’t make me pick. It’s just not fair.

Where am i? What day is it? Why am i so cold? How did i get here? How long have i been asleep? Where is the solider?

My minds running wild as i open my eyes. I don’t recognize the room or clothes i’m in. I try to move my hands and feet but quickly learn that they are bound to the bed.

“HELLO?!” My voice cracks as i yell hoping that someone can hear me.

    "She’s awake. Go wipe and prep her then we will give her the mission." I hear the mumbled words of some guards at the door. My fear grows stronger when i hear I’m gonna be wiped again. I keep trying to pull at my restraints but it proves to be no use again.

      The door suddenly bursts open and two guards i’ve never seen before walk in. I’m suddenly wheeled out of the room on the bed as i scream and trash. One of the guards puts a muzzle on me as we enter a room i don’t know.

“She needs to be wiped and prepped.” One shorter guard says to the doctor and the doctor nods. I’m put in the middle of the room and the muzzle gets taken off, and it gets replaced by a bite guard i know all too well. They tighten the straps on the table before injecting me with a sedative.

My eyes grow heavy but i don’t fall asleep as i see the machine come down on my head. The screams that come out of my throat as it attaches to my head is nothing short of blood curdling. I get zapped about fifteen times before i’m drooling and cant speak.

Dreykov walks in after i get wiped so he can give me my mission. I slowly open my eyes as i hear him walk in. He grabs a chair and sits in front of me before grabbing my face and smacking me conscious.

“Доброе утро бабочка. Мы вытащили тебя на очень важную миссию. Крайне важно, чтобы вы выполнили эту миссию безупречно. понял?” (Good morning butterfly. We pulled you out for a very important mission. “понял” (understood) I reply back blankly not being able to think right now. He hands me the folder and i try to focus my eyes so i can read it. When i open the folder and see the name "Avengers" on the front page and read what the mission details are. The mission details state that my objective is to get rid of all the avengers. Along with the objective is a list of names. I take my time reading it over knowing that the quicker i read the quicker i leave.

As i read over my targets my eyebrows furrow at the two names without aliases that’s a little weird for a whole group of superhero’s. I just move past it and continue reading my objective which seems to be to take out all the Avengers.

I’m apparently supposed to pose as a party guest for Tony Starks party and take out the members one by one as i get them alone. The mission seems pretty simple. Nothing i haven’t done before so it shouldn’t be a problem.. or so i thought.

“должно быть легко” (should be easy) I say as i finish up reading the mission report.

Dreykov and hands the book to a guard telling him to program me right before we leave for the party. The guard nods his head and Dreykov turns his attention back to me.

”Хорошо, теперь иди готовься, и ты уйдешь, как только закончишь бабочку” (Good now go get ready and you will be leaving as soon as you’re done butterfly) Dreykovs replies handing me two duffel bags and clothes for now.

I walk out of the room with the duffel bags and clothes in my hands and make my way back to my room until we leave. I only have enough time to get dressed before i’m told we need to leave by two guards outside my room.

When i open the door i see the short guard from before along with one i never seen before. I just walk past them and make my way onto the jet without speaking. As i sit down i let out a deep breath and try to focus on my mission.

  I try to relax a little on the jet ride but for some reason i get two of my targets names out of my head. Natasha Romanoff and James Barnes... those two feel oddly familiar to me and i can't figure out why. I try to push off the feelings of familiarity out of my head but its hard for some reason.

Hours go by and we finally land at some dusty ass motel and i walk into a room that i was lead to by the two guards who i still don't know. When i walk into the room i'm hit with the stench of death and mold and i cringe as i'm hit with the smells. I go and sit on the edge of the bed and lay back on the dusty bed trying to calm myself before tomorrow night. I decide to close my eyes for a little as i lay back in the bed but thats ruined as soon as the door swings open. 

"we have to put her to sleep for the night then we will wake her up two hours before the party." guard says to the other one he walked in with. I can barely open my eyes before i'm stuck with a needle in my neck and everything goes dark.

--------------  The next day 2 hours before the party  --------

"wake up soldat it's time to get ready for your mission." I hear some man say to me as i start to wake up. It takes me a second to wake up fully and once i do i remember where i am and what my objective is for the night. I look at the man in front of me and i nod my head which is a sign i'm ready for those damned 10 words and ready for my mission. I nod and then he hands me the duffel bags and tells me to go get ready and that they will program me when im done.

After he hands me the clothes i walk into the dimly lit bathroom and start getting ready for tonight. As i'm getting ready i start to get a feeling that something about this mission isn't right i feel like something is going to go wrong. I try to shake off the feeling as i continue to get ready. I slip on the black dress after i do my makeup and hair and admire myself in the mirror real quick. Ive never worn anything other then the dusty clothes that the red room provides so its nice to be wearing something else for once even if its just for a little.

I walk out of the bathroom to be met with the same two random guards as before. They don't say anything to me they just gesture for me to leave the motel room. I grab my shoes and put them on before i walk out of the room. I walk onto the jet and out my shoes on as i wait for the words.

I see both of the men walk onto the jet and the shorter one is holding what i call ‘the book of the damned’. They both walk over to me and strap my hands and legs down beside me incase i get violent.

The shorter one kneels before me and grabs my face in his rough hand. He smiles devilishly as he gets ready to make me hate myself for the next 24 hours.

I close my eyes and when i open them again i can feel the difference in my body, I can feel her take over my body and leave me helpless.

“Soldat?” He asks backing up waiting for my response as the other guard stands next to him.

“готов соблюдать” (ready to comply) I reply with a gravelly voice and a dead look in my eyes.
