Just finished binging the whole of Ugly betty cause i needed to know the iconness that is this show and i loved it except that i am so dissapointed on them losing literally one of the best slow burn potential ever that is Daniel and Betty . I have been whining over the ending for so long cause as the show progressed all i could root for ever as a couple was Daniel and Betty and finally when it was implied that they are endgame it just felt so lackluster cause it was such an open ending and i hate open endings, and knowing that they end up married in the og telenovela actually kind of hurt and healed me at the same time. Like i get the point of the open ending being that it would be sudden to have them end up romantically like that but like there were so many times they could've started by implying their feelings for each other but they failed every time and i am very sad over it . This is literally the first time ever i actually want to actively go ,search and read fanfics on a straight ship.

What are your favorite ships right now?

I have three MAIN ships at the moment (there are other couples that I like or find cute either in fiction or in history, I’m just not as hooked). I’ll use my dear friend’s art to illustrate them:

Betty & Armando from Yo soy Betty, la fea/Ecomoda - possibly my first “serious” ship. They’re not the healthiest, their romance is dark, complex and toxic (ends up in a happy and modern marriage though, I don’t take the new sequel into account), but they’re really something. I love the fact that the playboy (he wasn’t a typical one either) fell for the “ugly” girl for her intelligence, loyalty, and sweetness. He wanted to fall in love, but he didn’t believe it would happen. Well, it happened and with the woman that no one expected it would (although I think that Calderón always knew).

Kay & Michael from The Godfather - they had potential to be a happy couple, and they would have been one if Michael hadn’t gotten into the family business. Their story is heartbreaking and really tragic, the real FAILmarriage that I enjoy a great deal, with its own high levels of toxicity caused by Michael’s manipulation and lies. I ship them, I like to read about them being together and happy in fanfics, but I’m actually glad that they split in canon, Kay found a new love, and Michael loved her till his death without having her. I’m all for this kind of drama. 😎

Isabella I of Castile & Ferdinand II of Aragon - it’s a controversial one considering who they were, but I can’t help but feel attracted to their dynamic and partnership. They’re the original power couple (regardless of what one may think of them), a heady mix of ambition, power and passion. It’s really impressive how they managed to co-rule for such a long time considering their different approach to certain matters and their strong personalities that were bound to clash. And yeh, if they had lived today, I would be scared of them, they weren’t to be trifled with.

I started Ugly Betty for the first time last week. Now, I've rewound through some of the backstabbing parts because, while entertaining, that just wasn't the mood I was going for (and I truly believe you can do that if it protects your peace, k?).

And let me tell you, I'm surprised I'm enjoying it.

Three episodes in I was reading fanfiction.

Two seasons & many fanfic in I had to watch the last two episodes just to ease my mind. (I have high anxiety, yall).

Now I'm in Season 4 and am very sad that it's ending soon.

Also every song on the radio yall.

Thoughts;

I like Henry better than the other boyfriends (at least in the first season, after that he's a broken record and should stay in Tuscan)

I actually liked Molly.

But definitely Daniel & Betty.

Although some might think Fantasy because that's what I am known for, honestly. I like writing ugly/fat girl gets the hot guy trope. I think it's because I see myself through that lense, or maybe it's because of Betty La Fea - a Spanish Novela that was popular in the Latin community. I love the original and I like the remake ugh.

I love making Katniss or Peeta less than and finding a HEA.

I don't know if I have the ability/wherewithal to turn a story I wrote into a book. I know plenty of people who do it and the writing business is challenging. Maybe because I'm a true chicken lol!
