Do you get asks: Once in awhile! I’m always happy to chat but even though I’ve had a Tumblr account for a long time technically I feel like I never actually learned how it works or how to talk to people here. 

Amount of sleep: Less than I’d like to get, more than my cat would like me to get

What you’re wearing: Khakis, black & white polka dot shell, purple cardigan, sparkly nail polish with a few fucked-up nails because it was still wet when I had to leave the house this morning

Dream job: I think I kind of have it?? I’m a teen services librarian and it’s great. I guess a dream would be if our podcast ended up being successful enough to be like, a full-time job, but also that seems annoying just thinking about it. It’s fine as a side hustle.

Dream trip: Currently planning a trip to South Africa for next year, I guess the next dream would be Australia/New Zealand? And/or Antarctica? 

Instruments: In junior high band I played the French horn very badly.

Languages: English, and when I left the Peace Corps I was officially fluent in Spanish, but that’s faded back down to “proficient.”

Random fact: I brought my cat Duarte back from the Peace Corps with me; he’s named for the Dominican Republic’s founding father Juan Pablo Duarte. Everything else in the DR is named after Duarte. (Duarte is also Eva Peron’s maiden name. As far as I know, she is unrelated to Juan Pablo and also to my cat.)

Aesthetic: On my StitchFix profile I said that my style icon was Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus, and that has served as a useful description.
