im a little over a year into my new desk job. and it is crazy to me that the most dread i ever feel (job related atleast) is oooo bed toasty warm i dont wanna get up. like. i have not had job related suicidal ideation in a year. thats crazy to me. especially with how frequent it was at my old job. i still have nightmares about my past jobs. i havn't shaken my retail voice yet (which confused my coworkers when i switched from that to regular voice after i got comfortable around them). and its just so wild looking back now how working retail just effects your brain. like there has got to be studies done on this cause what the fuck was all that

Still thinking about the recent update to the family gojo fic and that distinct moment when the reader is hurtled back into the reality that megumi is capable of sorcery and that fact that he's growing up... Devastated. That innate feeling of wanting to keep these kids small and close but inherently it's a part of the reader that wants to keep things as they are.. To prevent any more change. God to think one day megumi will grow up and outgrow readers bed, their comforting arms and the forehead kisses.. That's the reality.

i know it seems like satoru’s the only one that gets on megumi’s nerves (with good reason) but you’re very fond of cheek pinching.

especially when his hair is in two dutch braids that you instructed tsumiki on, little baby hairs curled against the nape of his neck.

“what a doll,” you say to her, pressing your cheek against his to grin. “my little baby. this is going in the photo album.”

“please no,” megumi groans.

“can we put a bow in it?” she asks you, giggling as she bounces on the heels of her feet.

it actually really annoys me how well death note fits into dracula because i don’t like writing l/light as a predatory dynamic even though i do enjoy reading fics with that interpretation sometimes but like the correspondence is so so clear. dracula (L) and his three roommates (near mello matt). mina “haha i bet those newfangled feminists will be the one doing the proposing not like me i am polite and normal” “holds her husband’s arm instead of the traditional other way around” harker is obviously kiyomi takada since they are both the repressed butches of all time and id really like to see kiyomi have a breakdown about holy items leaving scars in her skin. i actually cannot decide between jonathan-light and lucy-misa or the other way around because lucy “i fancy myself a tough nut to crack” “my entire personality is masks and i die by suffocation under them” westenra could fit both of them so well but jonathan’s manic devotion is honestly very misacore. renfield mikami is very important to me not just because disciple god etc but because renfield tries so hard to get everyone else to take him seriously by acting the part of the refined gentleman he once was and because his last act is a futile attempt at resisting his god (and as a bonus he gets along with mina-kiyomi). the suitors are also there i guess

istg… how hard is it for people to understand that elia needed to have a male heir to secure her position in the royal court. a royal court that was becoming more and more divided as aerys sunk deeper into his madness while rhaegar began filling the court with his people, many of whom were dornish.

maesters compared aerys court to what the royal court looked like right before the dance! that’s how tense it was! rhaegar also has many parallels with daeron the good, and one of the most interesting parallels between these two characters is that both their fathers undermined their positions in the line of succession.

also, while elia having a male child does further secure rhaegar’s position, elia having a male child was actually much more important for her own sake.

if you don’t understand why elia having a male child as quickly as possible was necessary for her then maybe asoiaf is too intricate for you to understand.

btw rhaegar and elia needing a male heir to secure their positions at court and to secure rhaegar’s line in the succession for the throne is mainly due to the dance of the dragons because the greens usurped the blacks. to be specific, it’s because aegon usurped rhaenyra.

rhaenys never stood a chance at inheriting the throne. :/
