I still have no clue how Tumblr works but here's part 3

The third member to meet Danny is none other than our resident Demon brat.

It was rare that Damian could truly relax. In the league he had to constantly be the perfect heir, the perfect assassin. When his mother got him out it was just as hard when he had to compete with four adopted brothers, Gordon, Brown and the infamous Cassandra Cain.

It was difficult to find someone who could understand him and what he had been through and still put up with his bulshit. Damian was man enough to admit that his own attitude did not help him so when he found someone who would, whom he could let down his walls with, he grasped on with both hands.

"You seem to be thinking quite hard there Damian." A soft voice drew him from his thoughts. Damian looked her deep in her eyes freely let her peer at his thoughts. He knew she would not pry unless needed but he freely gave this.

"Just reminded myself how fortunate I was to have you." Damian admitted while they sat at their impromptu picnic.

It was rather rare for them to have dates in Gotham but today was a rare time where it was possible. The smog that always filled Gotham was almost completely absent today here in the forest at the edge of the Wayne property and perhaps most importantly, his father was off world with Cain and Grayson.

While most of the public believes Batman has a 'no metas allowed' rule, it was most certainly not true. What is true however is that his father is an overprotective idiot at times and would hover/spy onto their date.

"Dam-"

Whatever Raven was about to say was interrupted by a small sonic boom from just outside of the property that had both of them on their feet, their little picnic forgotten.

All too soon they found the source. A behemoth of a man was playing with a giant dog?

"Drop the stick boy!" The green beast dropped a log for want of a better word. "Good boy, wanna go again?" The beast gave a bark like artillery fire, tail waving like rotor blades. The man pick up the log and launched as though it was a javelin with a "Fetch Cujo!"

With one last artillery bark the beast bound after with great speed.

The man let out a deep sigh as he fell back into the shade of the nearby tree. "Man I wish I had more off days like this. Mhmmm, people? Hello there. Didn't think there would be people this far out. I'm Danny."

The man, Danny, waved as he lazily greeted them from where he lay on his bag in the shade. Danny lay so openly and without care that they could easily observe him.

Danny was very obviously a meta, his lazy smile with far too many sharp teeth, elfin ears and skin that was almost paler than Raven's. Most glaring was his height at seven and a half feet and shoulders nearly half as broad. (see Drake I can learn your freedom units)

"Damian" "Rachel" they introduced themselves.

"You two out on a date? It's one of my rare days off so I was planning one myself but unfortunately my girlfriend's dad needed help so she's out of town with him and her brother." Danny offered up freely. There was no hostile intent as far as Damian could tell. 'His intentions are true and there is no amniosity. His mind is well protected though.' Raven shared with telepathy.

"I take it your job is rather taxing?" Damian prodded.

Danny snorted "Nah man, I'm a university student, Aerospace engineering. The degree is kicking my ass but that's due to the amount of stuff I have to do. It's like they are afraid that I will have free time because I swear some of my projects and tests aren't for engineering.

Last week I had to write a chem exam and yesterday I had to submit a project that I'm pretty sure was a business model in disguise. If my luck holds out I might get a psych test next week. Ugh I'm already half dead, now their trying to get me to fully dead."

That was... concerning. It sounds like danny was possible rogue material and the university was trying their best to keep him from actually going rogue.

"So your taking a break and playing with you dog?" Raven asked.

"Yeah, Cujo is a sweetheart but it's hard to play with him here since people keep attacking him when he's in his large form." Danny explained as the dog bounded back without his stick. Worryingly there was a bit of blood on him. The dog had obviously been in a fight.

"Again buddy? Why can't they just leave you alone. Let's see what it's this time." Cujo dropped a finger on the ground with a very familiar green ring.

"He's a rescue I suppose but he was originally a guard dog and he was trained to disarm people when they attack him so I keep having to stash away guns and the like. With how crazy some people are I really should be prepared for things like this."

The ring seemed to sluggishly work it's way off of the finger before shooting straight for Danny.

"Daniel Fenton of -"Danny swiped the ring out of the air and held it in a tight grip. "Nah ah, I already have one green magic ring and I don't want a talking one on top of that!"

Danny rummaged through his bag before pulling out his thermos that smelled like coffee and chugged it like he was drakes long lost twin and managing to seal it into the thermos.

"There, I'll figure out what to do with that later."Sigh."well I guess we can talk at a later time but after that I'm heading home. Cujo shrink!"

The massive beast of a dog deflated like a balloon till it was the size of a small dog, happily trudging sfter it's owner as they hiked in the direction of Gotham.

With a glance to Raven, he confirmed that she was just as bewildered by the interaction as he was. Eventually they returned to their date, no use in letting odd encounters ruin their day, but Damian kept the name in the back of his head for now.

Later that night Damian found himself in the watchtower, going for the terminal so he could research this Daniel Fenton. He would have done this at home but Drake hogged the bat computer, nou doubt pinning after his coffee crush.

Along the way he found a small congregation of heroes trying to drown out Guy Gardner but also had to listen to his report as his hand was quite bandaged and missing a finger...

"On my patrol I nearly got Final destinationed by a flying log and then I got attacked by a green beast that wouldn't go down no matter what I thew at it. To make matters worse it was able to bite off my ring!" Guy complained incessantly.

Suddenly it made perfect sense why Danny was so upset but accepting of people attacking Cujo. How many times has this happened to him? How many times had the guy patched up his dogs wounds because people attacked him. How many of those time was it a hero who attacked Cujo? Damian could feel for both Danny and his dog.

"Sounds like you attacked a dog playing fetch and got upset when you couldn't hurt a dog for playing. Neutralizing an attacker's weapon is the bare basics of any guard dog's training." Damian found himself snapping at the man. Superman nodding along with him.

"Robin is right, while I am very concerned about you losing your ring, I am also concerned that you would attack a dog for playing fetch. I do the same with Crypto." Superman chastised Guy sternly.

okay so yesterday we sat after work with two more people with a drink and talked. when we left he said he would walk me to the train. of course I was already a bit tipsy. when we passed the bar he looked at me in this way letting me know he wanted us to go for another drink so this time I dragged him there hehe.

we went to sit in the most secluded place where it was just us. we were talking and laughing and suddenly he moved closer to me. literally millimeters. and he looked at me in THAT way and I think I died for a moment??? I literally couldn’t stop smiling as he teased me for a while, nuzzling me before he kissed me and ughhhh I liked that sooo fuckin much and you know, make out moment, more talking and laughing and more kissing. it was really nice and not awkward at all, I mean wow? it was so normal and natural but I think it was because I was already drunk 😶 I honestly don’t remember almost anything we talked about because of it but I’ll tell you one thing — he’s a pro. I didn’t know that there were guys who talked like those from books??? but I literally had one in front of me and I’ll tell you that it was an amazing experience. I don’t even know how to describe it but it was such a nice experience when a man talks to you in such a caressing way like— I’m meltin

and he told me about all the situations from our past where he wanted to make a move towards me, and in particular one situation where he deliberately kicked out his co-worker to be alone with me (d e a d) and that he bet that something would happen between us in January/February but he definitely doesn’t complain that it happened now

I definitely remember a few things, like how he told me while out of breath that “you are so fucking beautiful” before he kissed me again (fangirl) “you have no idea how long I wanted to do this” and “you are so pretty and yet so hurt by this shitty life” (fuck. me.) and when I wanted another kiss he teased me with that wicked smile holding my neck with “nuh uh” before he gave me another kiss. and he said that he’s fucking mean, and I have to admit that he is, but he likes it and it turns me on so who cares. like— it’s not every day that a guy has such power over me, much less that I like it.

please, it takes me way too long to write all of this because I have to take a break every other sentence to laugh, embarrass myself and fangirl UGHHHH IM SO FUCKED

and when I got home I had a heart attack because I didn’t know whether to be happy or cry because this is all so damn bad and I don’t even know what to expect from it. I’ve never been in a situation like this and I don’t even know what to do now. Work is work so it doesn’t change but what if we find ourselves alone in the back? WHAT THE FUCK

What's your least favorite thing to draw/do when you make art?

I'm on my own art journey right now and kind of dread the transition from lineart to coloring.

Trying to study anatomy right now and ignore rendering but I'm curious what other artists feel is challenging or just like 'ugh, ok time for [x]'

OHHH in terms of what's challenging, for me it's definitely coloring, rendering, backgrounds, and composition HAHA (<- chronic flat colors user who only draws character art on a floating white background)

i love focusing on gesture and lines when i draw ^_^ i rely mostly on intuition for the other stuff but it really only takes u so far T_T i'll spend hours trying to fix something by trial and error when i probably couldve saved that time by putting in more conscious studying/practice lol

Also please don't think that rambling about random plots and ideas is cringe, this is tumblr, we're all like this here! Rambling and listening to other people rambling are my favourite activities :D

And oh yes, Danny as the Ancient of Balance! I love your idea of him showing two sides, and let's mix it up, let it be not obvious "scary death, nice life", make Danny being able to show two sides of anything. Make it something poetical (because I'm feeling dramatic today), something like "Fear of unavoidable end, need to bow before the power that defeats anyone - death. Danger and confusion and pain that is brought by a power that appears from nothing and refuses to be defeated - life" on one side and "Calmness of eternal sleep, contentment of arriving to the final destination, safety you only feel in embrace of death. Happiness overflowing you upon seeing a flower blooming in a crack of stone, care of a living creature that chose you to be its friend, unconditional love of a child seeing the world for the first time in their life" on the other. That's just what Danny's auras feel like at their strongest ofc, normally he just lightly channels some calmness and that's it. I feel like there should be one scene when some entity acts specifically to destroy balance, and it enrages Danny even though he can't process why (because of course he's oblivious enough to not know that he's the ancient of balance), and that's when we get to see him use his aura to the extreme.

Danny: I'm not mad, just disappointed.

Very powerful entity (barely remembers what happened because of Danny's aura, is feeling confused and guilty): *sobbing* I'm sorry :(

JL: How did you do that??

Danny: Dunno, Midwestern politeness and channelling my therapist sister. Therapy is one hell of a thing, am I right? :D

Entity: *sobbing intensifies*

I like the idea that in this AU all Danny's friends and siblings at some point did some favours to people in DC, especially JL, and what they did was incredibly important for these people but not too hard for Danny's fam. And every time they asked for something in return, and every time it was something absolutely unexpected and easy. (They would do the same without getting anything in return, they just decided to use the opportunity)

Tucker, after giving JL information that let them prevent a literal destruction of Earth: Hey, can this one guy, Danny, sometimes hang out in your Watchtower? You don't even have to give him access to Zeta tubes, just don't attack him or anything when he appears.

Jazz, after freeing half of JL from mind control and kicking the ass of that one entity that tried to conquer the world: *stares at Batman with all her 37 eyes*

Batman: *stares back*

Jazz (read his mind and totally knows that he's Bruce Wayne): So, you know Bruce Wayne, right?

Batman: Hm.

Jazz: Can you ask him to fund that one little coffee shop? Danny was upset that they have to close, it's his favourite place.

Dan, after completely destroying a powerful entity that tried to destroy the world, without even a hello: A bunch of idiots tried to kidnap and sacrifice my brother to himself, and he prohibited me to kill them. Can you put them in jail, preferably forever?

Sam, after fixing a very important ecological issue: What I want in return? I did it for fre- actually, can I get Martian Manhunter's autograph? Danny's a fan, and he's too shy to ever ask himself.

Dani, after confusing and terrifying an alien fleet to the point of them just leaving and deciding to never return to Earth: Jazz said I can ask Batman to ask something from Bruce Wayne, so can Brucie punch Vlad Masters in the face with as many cameras filming it as possible? I need that on the internet from all angles.

Danny is completely oblivious. He's very happy about Bruce Wayne helping small businesses and punching Vlad (Vlad's apparently annoying enough to make even famous himbo Brucie mad, nice). He saw the cultists get arrested on TV, decided that it's a good thing and haven't thought about that since. He's not sure how Sam got that autograph but surely it's possible to just randomly meet a JLeaguer with enough luck, and Sam is brave enough to actually ask for an autograph in such situation. Tucker's thing is the only one Danny knows about, and he only knows that Tucker helped the JL somehow, no knowledge about how big that help was.

"Must be Gary" should become Danny's reaction to everything. Just him going "Must be Gary/Leslie/Charlie/etc" without a second thought every time he sees something that was totally started by him. Absolutely love the idea of Danny offhandedly mentioning that something would be good, and the entire ghost government machine following to ensure that it happens.

If Danny ever realizes, he should freak out about it. He should mentally go over everything he said in the last few years and people's reactions and go "DID YOU REALLY USE THAT TO RULE THE GHOST ZONE". And whoever of ghosts is near just calmly retorts: "I mean, it worked great?"

I've seen a lot of people writing Danny as a space ancient and Dan and Dani as ghosts with moon and sun cores, being sort of parts, versions of Danny and therefore weaker. Now, consider: Dan and Dani are both powerful ghosts with really cool cores and stuff but Danny is just some guy™

Dan, who came from an alternate timeline and is kind of from the future but also not, is Clockwork's apprentice and will eventually become an ancient of time. He probably only agreed to have some lessons with Clockwork to understand better what happened to him, but he enjoys his apprenticeship now.

Dani, with her love of travelling, loves seeing all the different places the world offers to her, and that includes space and different planets and maybe even parallel universes, and she accidentally ends up being an apprentice of the space ancient. For now she's probably a baby ancient of freedom or something like that, but she might become an ancient of space in the future.

We can also have something like Dan having a core of destruction or Dani being the Speed Force if you want it to be dcxdp, or any headcanon of yours about their cool powers.

And then there's Danny. And yeah, everyone knows that he's super powerful, but also he's just some guy.

It can go different routes. Does everyone know that Danny is just Danny? Or do they think that with siblings (well, technically a clone and an alternate version, but whatever) so powerful, he must be even stronger? Is Danny actually something terrifyingly eldritch and ancient and strong, almost a god, but he just doesn't know himself? Or is he just really some guy?

Now, because it's obvious that I have a dcxdp brainrot, have a regular "JL summons/meets a powerful ghost" but its Dan and Dani, and they keep mentioning their original/brother who won a fight against them at some point. The JL is very concerned about Dan and Dani's godlike powers, and they can't imagine what Danny is like. And then they meet him (in his human form), and it's just a young adult in casual clothes, very friendly and helpful, with no evident powers. Imagine the confusion. Imagine Dan and Dani, radiating power, in their eldritch ghost forms, admitting that fighting Danny for real is the dumbest thing to do and not even they would succeed... And then there's Danny is jeans and silly t-shirt, waving shyly.

Jinx is a super clingy person, so for you to be as clingy as her it’s like you two are a match made in heaven. There’s barely any time that passes when you two are not touching each other and she lives for your cuddles. It doesn’t matter if you hug her out of nowhere or she sees you about to embrace her, she is stopping everything she is doing and pulling you into the tightest of hugs.

Most of the time if she isn’t causing mayhem in the streets of Zaun or busy with her inventions, she will spend her time just holding you so close and showering your face with the cutest but most childish of kisses. She doesn’t care if it’s in private or public, she will make it known that you two can’t keep your hands off each other. You are her cuddlebug and she is yours and that won’t ever change.

Violet “Vi”

“Woah there, cuddle bug! You’re gonna make me screw up my workout��� Oh forget it. How can I say no to you?”

Because Violet is absolutely touch starved, she will never decline your cuddles, even if you take her by surprise a few times with how you hug her so suddenly. She finds it adorable how you fangirl around her and find everything she does to be awesome or cute. Granted she does wish you’d call her hot or sexy, but knows that isn’t really in tune with your personality.

Regardless, she tries to make sure you know how adorable you are, always telling you while you two are cuddled up together how lucky she is to have you and how you are so adorable. Even when you visit her at work, she’ll try to drop everything and have you run into her arms to pick you up. And every time she’s got time off work or is coming back from a job, she’s automatically looking for you so she could hook you in her arms and never let go.

Ekko

“Y/N, haha! You know we gotta keep this private, babe- The kids are gonna pounce on us any second now!”

Does Ekko love hugging you? Absolutely. The warmth of your arms around his body makes him stop everything he’s doing and just hug you while calling you his firelight or firefly. Unless he’s calling you an angel or lovebug, which never fails to make Scar either look at you two in awe or roll their eyes in mock annoyance. Unfortunately, Ekko does try his best to make sure you two don’t get super affectionate around the children, especially when it comes to hugs.

Why? Because as soon as you hug him, the children find this as an invitation to gather around him and have him nearly die under a cuteness overload of a group hug. It’s nice as a once in a while occurrence, but all the time? Maybe not. Outside of the reactions you two garnish and even the teasing of you being the firelight king/queen, Ekko lives for your cuddlebug energy, wanting to be in your arms after a long day’s work. It’s always the best way to end the night… 

Caitlyn Kiramman

“And that’s why if I am able to block this end of the road, I’ll- Oh!... Oh come here, sweetheart. If you wanted to cuddle so badly, you could’ve asked.”

Caitlyn has always been someone who was more subtle with her love, pulling you into brief kisses, cupping your cheek and holding you by your waist. She usually leaves the more out there gestures like hugging and cuddling for you to initiate. But when you do? It might be harder for you to get her off of you instead of the other way around. It can be at work, in her home, outside of work or at an event. As soon as she feels your arms wrap around her slender body, she’s stopping for a second to hold you back and kiss your forehead.

She will continue working if you interrupt her during a briefing or in the middle of cracking a case, but the entire time, she will have at least one arm around your body and make sure you are comfortable. Her comrades tease her about it and she’ll scowl a bit, but she doesn’t care. As far as she can tell, she’s extremely lucky to have you as a lover.

Viktor

“Ah! Oh, it is just you, zolotse. Remember, you have to warn me of these cute little hugs of yours.”

At first, Viktor wasn’t used to your physical affection and how you were in awe of everything he did. He actually thought you were mocking him at first or being silly. But after a while, especially when the two of you became a couple, he grew accustomed to your affections. He does get a bit startled when you hug him out of nowhere and he does have moments where you cheering him on does make him a bit bashful, but he enjoys your sweet gestures regardless.

He does find it difficult to be as outgoing with his love for you as you are with him, but he does try his best to make you realize he loves you, especially in the form of quality time and calling you by sweet pet names bound to make you blush. Viktor has a tendency to pass out from working too hard and waking up in your arms. And though he’d never say it out loud, you know based on the way he snuggles into you, he adores it and adores you.

Jayce Talis

“I know what you want and I want it too- So bring it in! I’ve waited all day to be in your arms!”

Because Jayce is always out at work, it’s kind of hard for you two to be around one another all the time. That’s why when he does reunite with you after hours or you two can be together on days off, he’s spending the majority of his free time with you or wrapped around you. He sort of craves for your praise and compliments as much as he craves your cuddles.

Many would compare the councilman to a needy dog wanting his owner’s undivided attention and he definitely gets that through you. Though he may try to act all cool or play coy, everyone knows that you mean so much to him and that he becomes putty around you. Even if they don’t, you’re not afraid to say it aloud. Just make sure Jayce isn’t around or that man will become redder than a beet.

Mel Medarda

“What’s wrong?... I know that look. You want to- Ah! Well looks like you beat me to the punch, darling. How about we take this to the bed, hmm?”

Mel wasn’t really given physical affection when she was younger. She was more someone who preferred verbal affection with words of affirmation. So when it came to you and how affectionate you are, she found herself adapting and loving physical affection as much as telling you how much she loved you.

Your cuddles and sweet gestures are her personal heaven she loves returning to after a long day’s work, especially if she can spend an evening with you platonically in your shared bed. In your arms, she feels she can air out anything that’s bothering her or interests her, especially when you admit how cute it is when she does. Though this kind of intimate affection is delegated to private quarters, anyone can know from the way Mel speaks of you outside of home and at events that you mean so much to her.

Sevika

“Yeah! So then I was like screw you, I can do whatever- Hold on. Uh, Y/N. I thought we agreed to not do this at work?”

Sevika is considered the Right Hand of Zaun, a woman who is feared if not respected by her peers. And she’d like to keep it that way. Which means that while you two are at work, she prefers it if you don’t cuddle her around co-workers and give them something to tease her about. You two can only flirt and kiss and even then, it has to be sexy…

But alone, when both of you are away from the public eye, Sevika is at your beck and call wishing for nothing else but to hear your sweet praises and melt into your arms and touch. Expect her to call you the cutest thing ever and tease you on occasion, but afterwards she’s basically a big needy cat, or as she prefers to be called, a panther. It’s moments like these where you can really consider yourself lucky to see a raw side of Sevika. And it was only preserved for you.
