happy hr @ Shojo Izakaya

Came here just about a month ago with Tina & Andrew.

Located in the same 'building' as Wilfreds, this place called Shojo Izakaya has been open for several yrs. TBH, I am quite surprised it survived the pandemic!

Unlike Wilfred's, the izakaya is located in the basement level; you go down a flight of stairs on the south side of the building. These semi below ground level aren't common here in Edm & I remember how amazed I was when I saw so many of these in Asia (particularly Korea!). I find them cute & mysterious at the same time.

BTW, not sure if I've told you but I'm going to Korea soon! Like. .. next week haha exciting!

Anyway, let's continue with the izakaya.

The 3 of us got seated in a booth near the back of the restaurant, close to the washroom hallway. This was our view from our table. The izakaya has a mix of patio, regular table, bar, & booth seating. I really liked the variety. I would have liked a regular table but booth was alright too.

I'm not an izakaya regular. .. but are the serving bowls/dishes normally like that?? Just. .. open to air?

Since we came during happy hour time, we ordered drinks & happy hour items instead of from their regular menu. The above was the spicy salmon & spicy tuna cone.

I had the spicy tuna one & . .. the taste was alright; the rice was hard (not the sushi short grain rice) ... however, the problem for me was the nori (seaweed). Eeeeeee.. . it was . .. "hard"? Not sure if that's the right term but it wasn't crisp. It's also dry as it should be but it was almost like a choking hazard bcos you literally can't break it apart =/

We max'd out our salmon sashimi order for happy hr (ie: 5 pieces/customer). I am not a fan of sashimi so I had 2 pieces. It was meh. .. I don't really care for it. Andrew, who's a pro, found blood clot in more than 1 piece. ..

Yaki udon - udon noodles with cabbage, carrots, & scallion in a sweet soy sauce.

Here were our drinks starting from the left: yuzu soda, Baby K, & Luna (all were non-alcoholic)

The Baby K contains "peach bitters, rose water, grapefruit, lemon, simple syrup & soda". My Luna has "espresso, house made pandan syrup, & peach bitters". Can't say much about the others but the Luna. .. just didn't work. I was very excited to dry this drink bcos for one, it's coffee-based. I had a white peach latte in Jeonju before & it worked so well so I was like hmm... espresso with peach .. . it was rather gross. I don't know what to say about it. It just didn't work! It felt like I was trying an experimental project rather than something from an actual printed menu.

Overall, .. . =( .. no.......

One Piece OC Outfit Inspo - Wano Country (Inari)

Now that I've done Luna, it's time for Inari. With Inari, her story is also a bit complicated. While Luna arrives on Wano with the Sanji Retrieval Team (aka the people that went to WCI - as if she'd let her boyfriend run away like that!), Inari arrives to Wano when the Big Mom Pirates make their first attempt. While the Queen Mama Chanter is knocked down the waterfall, Inari jumps off the ship and makes it onto a rock, unnoticed by King. She eventually finds her mother washed up on the beach, reunites with Chopper and Momo and meets Kiku and Tama. After hearing what happened in the Flower Capital from Tama, she decides to go there instead of accompanying Chopper's group to Udon Prison. She assures her friends that Big Mom - now "O-Lin" is harmless and, newly equipped with clothes to blend in, heads to the Flower Capital.

Outfit #1 - On the way to the Flower Capital

Look at the hairclips! Look at them! I know they're not really accurate, but this is exactly the kind of stuff Inari would wear. Cute and childish - and fox-related! Again, we have a simple bun with subtle kanzashi and a bright, red-and-white-themed kimono.

Outfit #2: At the bathhouse

Inari would then eventually stumble into Robin, Nami and Shinobu at the bathhouse by pure coincidence and so become caught up in the chaos there against her will. She'd be happy to be reunited with her friends, of course, but this is not the best reunion. She lets herself be saved by Sanji, though only reluctantly. Throughout the ensuing battles, she stays mostly hidden, not wanting to be recognized by the Beast Pirates since she knows about their feud with the Big Mom Pirates.

Very simple, just a yukata to wear after going to a bathhouse after all.

Outfit #3: The Raid on Onigashima

With the Big Mom Pirates now being in an alliance with the Beast Pirates, Inari doesn't need a disguise. She awaits the alliance at the gates of Onigashima and celebrates Jinbe officially joining the crew with them. Then, they all enter the castle. Inari is invited to the party to both represent the Big Mom Pirates with her mother and to play the shamisen.

Inari's kimono is cut short for optimal movement (for partying, of course) but still has long furisode-style sleeves - picture the kimono above with a short, flowy skirt - like a cosplay kimono dress. She wears her hair in two buns with hana kanzashi and carries a tsugaru shamisen in red, white and black, as well as two special battle fans gifted to her by Queen for playing in his band.

deciding to wear a modern grey suit for the day, i keep my hair down and flowy, i lean back into Jungkook’s arms as i meet his gaze through the mirror in front of us. turning my head, i peck his lips a few times, “i guess we should..” grabbing a pair of black heels, we leave for the day, not forgetting to feed Luna as well.

stopping for our coffee and breakfast, we enjoy our usual time before work together in the elevator. before we reach our floor, i take the time to get in all my affections before lunch. hearing the ding of the elevator, we arrive to the front of my office, checking to make sure the coast is clear, i quick give him one last kiss, “i’ll see you later ok?”

Ah this is kind of a short one! Spoilers for Shirakumo Oboro- if you don’t know who that is he was one of Aizawa’s friends at UA. He mostly shows up in Vigilantes but he has a few chapters in the original manga. 

All his life Aizawa has been obsessed with cats- the little toes beans, the soft fluffy fur, the little purrs they give when you scratch them in just the right spot, everything. But unfortunately, his mother was allergic to cats- so he wasn’t able to have one until UA when he was living alone. Sushi, the cat he found during UA, was the first cat he kind of had. It mostly stayed with Shirakumo- who was able to care for it better. But Aizawa was over there so often that they basically shared cat duties. 

It was around this time that Shirakumo made a list: a list of cat names. It was just a random list he’d written down-but for some reason Aizawa always liked looking at the list every few days and finding a new name. 

Shortly after Shirakumo’s death, Aizawa and Yamada were in his old room looking through stuff and found a few different lists of things Shirakumo had written down: one of them being the cat names. 

Aizawa took that list home and vowed that he would never name a cat anything but what was on the list. A little something to remember his best friend by.

Una cocina llena de tradición

A pesar de la lejanía, es innegable la fascinación por la cocina japonesa en nuestra ciudad

Una de las maneras más sencillas y al mismo tiempo más profundas de conocer a una nación es a través de su gastronomía, los platillos cuentan las riquezas y dificultades de su suelo, la manera en que la sociedad fue sobrellevando y adaptando esas características, incluso puede hablarte de la historia, las conquistas y la filosofía. Ese es el caso de la cocina japonesa, basada principalmente en el cultivo que mejor puede prosperar en una isla volcánica con temperaturas altas en verano: el arroz, así como el pescado, el mejor aliado en un territorio donde las condiciones no propician el ganado y además cuenta con influencias budistas.

Pese a las dificultades (tanto naturales como políticas) a las que se ha enfrentado esta nación, su gastronomía es reconocida mundialmente por su atractivo visual, así como por la combinación de sabores que emplea, y es que detrás de estos platillos hay estrictas reglas en cuando a los modos de preparación y los ingredientes a utilizar, teniendo como eje central su fijación por la armonía. De igual manera, la dedicación a sus técnicas culinarias es notoria: desde los finos cortes de sashimi, pasando por la preparación a mano de los fideos para el ramen hasta la delicadeza con la que se prepara un antojo callejero como el takoyaki, el japonés pone empeño en lo que prepara.

Una vez que el País del Sol Naciente salió de su aislamiento, ha fascinado a otras naciones, incluyendo México. Las relaciones entre ambos países han permitido tanto que japoneses decidan radicar en nuestro país, como que nuestros connacionales regresen con nuevos sabores y ambiciones dentro del equipaje. A continuación te mostramos algunos restaurantes que nos asoman a esta intrincada gastronomía.

Ingredientes comunes

En tu experiencia culinaria, es probable que te topes con uno o más de estos:

•      Dashi. Caldo a base de alga kombu y/o pescado que se utiliza principalmente en platos con fideos y sopa miso.

•      Matcha. Se trata de una variedad especial de té verde molido empleado en la ceremonia del té. Gracias a su gran versatilidad, también se utiliza en postres y ha ganado popularidad como superalimento.

•      Soya. Esta leguminosa con altas cantidades de proteína se utiliza de distintas presentaciones como salsas, germinado e incluso como base para el tofu.

•      Tsukemono. Los encurtidos son parte de la dieta común de los japoneses, como el jengibre, la ciruela, los nabos, entre otros. Por ejemplo, el jengibre lo encontraremos como acompañamiento del sushi, mientras que una ciruela en medio del arroz es icónica.

•      Wasabi. Esta raíz perteneciente a la familia del rábano tiene un sabor amargo ligeramente picante y se utiliza como condimento en el sushi y otros platillos.

•      Narutomaki. Conocido en occidente por su presencia en el ramen y soba (así como uno que otro anime) consiste en una pasta de pescado con un diseño en espiral.

El local busca recrear la dinámica de las izakayas japonesas, lugares a donde los empleados acuden después de su jornada para relajarse un poco, beber y compartir algún platillo con tus amigos. Puedes beber sake o cervezas japonesas, pero también hay opciones sin alcohol como el calpis lychee y el café vietnamita.

Su historia se remonta a dos decenios y siguen avanzando, entre sus más recientes sucursales se encuentra aquella por Enrique Díaz de León y la visitamos recién.

En su menú hay un gran número de opciones para elegir, en entradas sus aros de calamar, sus brochetas de pollo, camarón o queso. Encuentras sopas de pasta udon, conos, fideos chinos, y una amplia selección de ramen bowls.

Lo que destaca sin duda son sus sushis, les recomendamos ir directo a los especiales. De nuestros favoritos está el “Especial Roll”, con pepino, aguacate, queso crema por dentro, camarón y pulpo por fuera con topping kanikawa, aguacate encima, bañado en salsa de anguila y ajonjolí.

Otro para no dejar pasar es el “Tokyo Roll”, pepino, aguacate, queso crema por dentro, encima más queso crema con ajonjolí, topping kanikawa, bañado en salsa de anguila. Cada uno que pruebes te dejará satisfecho, es una combinación de sabores deliciosa.

Encuentras en la barra platillos como rollos primavera, camarón empanizado que estaba delicioso, filete de pescado, pollo en diferentes presentaciones como “a la naranja”, costillitas que estaban para chuparse los dedos. También lomo, arrachera, y una selección de verduras, brócoli, champiñón, arroz. Hay sopa de mariscos y fideos chinos y más adelante hay platillos a la plancha que puedes pedir, si se te antoja un arroz o algunas verduras puedes pedirlas.

Para comenzar en las entradas no pueden faltar los bao, nosotros probamos el de cerdo, elaborado con panza de cerdo, vegetales, encurtidos, aderezado con mayonesa de ajo asado. La textura es ligera y la explosión de sabores abre el apetito en espera del plato fuerte. En este rubro también encontrarás gyozas de cerdo y camarón, un gohan y yakitori de pollo.

Antes de llegar a las estrellas de lugar, el menú te ofrece también hamburguesas, con la Buta Burgers como una de las favoritas, elaborada con láminas de chashu (cerdo marinado japonés), tomate asado y lechuga. O puedes probar su versión veggie con portobello asado, tofu, tomate asado, espinaca, aderezada con mayonesa de ajo y aderezo asiático.

Los ramen es lo que hay que presumir de Radzo, y nosotros probamos el Tonkotsu, en caldo a base de huesos de cerdo, noodles, huevo tierno, alga nori, espinaca, germinado de soya, cebollin, naruto y chashu. Tienen un par de aderezos de casa que vale la pena pedirlos para terminar de sazonar el caldo, queda picosito y muy rico.

Es el tercero de una familia de restaurantes enfocados a la comida oriental, de seguro conoces a Peko Peko y Uma Uma. Para abrir apetito te recomendamos un gua bao, pan al vapor con panceta con piel cocida, con especias orientales, cilantro, chicora marinada y cacahuate, está para chuparse los dedos. Aquí sus estrellas son los okonomiyakis, uno de los platillos japoneses más tradicionales, cocinado en plancha de hierro y con ingredientes básicos como harina de trigo, huevo, col, carnes y mariscos.

También llevan mayonesa, salsa okonomiyaki, pescado, jengibre rojo y alga marina en polvo. Tienen dos estilos: el Osaka y el Hiroshima, nosotros probamos el segundo de panceta y fue un descubrimiento afortunado al paladar. Otra recomendación a ojos cerrados es el ramen japonés, con caldo de pollo y en diferentes opciones como el tantan con carne molida de cerdo, huevo marinado, germinado de soya, espinaca, cebolla cambray, ajonjolí y cacahuate.

Apenas a unas cuadras del Templo Expiatorio tiene un amplio menú de comida japonesa. Encontrarás los básicos, los onigiris que son esas bolas de arroz empanizado, sashimis de corte delgado, gohan, los rollos California, teppanyakis, yakimeshis, entre otros.

Y por supuesto que las opciones de casa, las especialidades, de las cuales probamos por ejemplo el llamado Pozolito, una sopa caliente con camarón, pulpo y osaji, acompañado de pasta, aguacate, limón y cebollín. Por supuesto que los sushis son imprescindibles, como su rollo de Camarón por fuera, con un top de mango encima y salsa de anguila, delicioso. O que tal el que lleva el nombre de casa, el sushi Atarashi 33 lleva pulpo por fuera, mango y sashimi.

El yakimeshi también encanta desde la vista y termina de convencer al primer bocado, que al igual lo puedes pedir con pollo, res, camarón, salmón o las combinaciones disponibles. Otras de sus especialidades son sus makis, de camarón, pollo, res, entre otros.

5: Introductions

Nerves that were uncharacteristic of her were flitting around in her stomach, as Usagi tugged at her and Mamoru's arms, pulling them toward Crown parlor. "Ooh, I can't wait to introduce you to my friends! Another senshi! This is so exciting!" the tiny blonde bubbled, as the sliding doors parted for the trio. "How many others are there?" Kat asked, betraying her own nerves. "Well, there's..." Usagi stopped to think, counting silently on her fingers. "Ten of us? If you include Chibimoon and myself." "Ten?!" She was not expecting that many. "Oh! But don't worry, not everybody is here all the time. Haruka and Michiru and Setsuna and Hotaru kind of like to... keep to themselves. And Chibimoon is in the future with Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion," she continued to babble on. "Endymion? Neo Queen...?" Kat stopped walking, and looked up at her brother, who went by the same name in a previous life, with her, and Princess Serenity. Usagi stopped walking and looked back at the siblings. "Eh... uhm... yeah. So... Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion are me and Mamo-chan in the future. And Chibiusa is their... our daughter." Usagi poked her two pointer fingers together a couple of times, sounding slightly embarrassed.

It was Kat's turn for her mouth to fall open slightly, at a complete loss for words. So Usagi continued. "Chibiusa - Chibimoon - comes and visits us here, in the past, sometimes. She also comes to see Hotaru - they're best friends, you see." Kat closed her eyes for a moment. She just spent the past few months trying to wrap her head around her past. But there was a future world she had to think about too? She couldn't help but smile, though. The idea that the prince and princess still existed in another time made her happy. "Well, I can't wait to meet her sometime." "I guess that would make her your niece!" Usagi exclaimed, excitedly, now that she knew she didn't freak Kat out. "So, then, if she's from the future... Does she already know about me?" The question tumbled from Kat's lips before she could swallow it. It didn't want to impose on their lives in any way, and that question almost felt too close to the line. Usagi and Mamoru exchanged an unsure glance. "Eh... She hasn't said anything about you, before," Usagi started, carefully. "Yeah, but, I only became aware of your existence after you did. So maybe, your... awakening will start to spark something in all of our memories?" Mamoru was quick to offer. "Yeah, yeah!" Usagi agreed just as quickly. She grabbed Kat's and Mamoru's hands, pulling them along again, as she walked backwards towards a booth full of four other girls and two... cats? "Usagi-chan!" A blonde with a red bow stood up, beaming. All the girls looked up at the sound of Usagi's announcement. They looked like they were going to greet her, but their voices stuck in their throats at the sight of the newcomer. The girl with the blue bob spoke up first. "Who's your new friend, Usagi?" Kat suddenly felt very under the microscope. All she had planned on doing was meeting her brother today. But she'd already met him, his fiancé - the moon princess - heard of their daughter, and she was meeting other senshi, that she had only had a very faint knowledge of just until an hour ago. Her face felt hot - was she blushing? "This is Roun Katrina! She's... well..." Usagi stopped again, looking up at Kat and Mamoru, as if asking them to finish explaining for her. Mamoru cleared his throat and put his free hand on Kat's shoulder. "This is my sister, from the Silver Millennium." "Whaaat!?" All four girls - and the cats - cried at once, in disbelief. "Your sister!?" the raven-haired girl repeated, the words almost sounding funny on her tongue. "Mamoru, honestly, how long have you been keeping this a secret from us?" she demanded. "He didn't know," Kat was quick to jump in. "I just... found him today. I only got my memories back a few months ago." "Right around the time Galaxia... killed me." Mamoru added. "Wait, what!?" Kat's head snapped up. "You died again?" Mamoru quickly put up his hands in defense. "Yeah... When you showed me your memories, I saw more than just our past, I saw your life up until... well, today, really." "Kat is a sailor senshi, just like us!" Usagi added, with much excitement. The girls began throwing a barrage of questions at Mamoru and Katrina. "Here, here, let me just show you," Kat offered. She glanced around, there weren't many people in the Crown parlor, so she felt fairly safe letting the other girls see her past. She wasn't aware that her past also included her transforming for the first time in the present and fighting the phages, which she assumed came from this Galaxia that her brother had mentioned. The girls each put a hand in the middle of the table, fingertips touching, and Kat hovered her hand over theirs. Her signature rosy-golden glow illuminated her fingertips and warmth flooded over the other girls' hands. They were all silent as the memories merged in their minds. Kat also sensed the two cats presences in the peripheral of her mind. They all opened their eyes as Kat pulled her hand back. They blinked slowly, and looked at her with new eyes. Not recognition, but acceptance. The warmth that squeezed at Kat's heart was new and unfamiliar. She'd never had so many people around her before. "Sailor Earth," the brunette said, wonder in her voice. They each began to introduce themselves - Minako, Sailor Venus, Makoto, Sailor Jupiter, Rei, Sailor Mars, Ami, Sailor Mercury, and even the two cats - Artemis and Luna. They all moved to make way for her to sit amongst them. Mamoru excused himself, kissing Usagi atop her head, saying something about really needing to study, and he was so, so sorry, but he promised Usagi and Kat that they could all get together for dinner that night. Kat wasn't in the least bit nervous about her brother leaving her behind with these girls she'd only just met. It felt like she'd always known them, Usagi especially. Conversation quickly bubbled up, about school and studies, and eating and sleeping and gaming (courtesy of Usagi, herself). It was clear the girls had a deep bond, one that went far beyond them just being sailor senshi. The girls asked where Kat lived, where she went to school, what she did for a living, etc. Kat tucked some hair behind her ear, looking down at the strawberry parfait sitting in front of her (one that Usagi had insisted that she try). "Well... I live in Hakone right now... but I've been looking at moving here and studying at Keio University. I want to continue studying biology, with an emphasis at animal husbandry and conservation. I'm currently a vet tech at one of the best vets in Hakone, but I want to be able to do much more." "So like, zoology?" Ami asked, smiling gently at her. "Yeah, exactly like zoology, actually. I would love to work at the Tokyo zoo, eventually. But that seems like such a long ways down the road. Especially after discovering who I really am. But it's gotten so quiet since you beat Galaxia, that I feel like I might be able to dedicate more of myself to my studies." Ami nodded sagely. "Being a sailor guardian can be a lot of work, itself. But I've been able to maintain my studies and honor roll, so it's not impossible." Usagi and Minako groaned and rolled their eyes a little bit. Kat laughed. "I take it you two aren't too fond of school?" Rei smorted. "Usagi avoids studying like the plague. And her grades show how vested she is in her 'studies'." "Why should I try to memorize something I'm going to forget immediately? And it's something that's not so important anyway, not like being Sailor Moon is!" Usagi's voice grew louder with determination. "Shhh!" The girls were quick to shush her, and she hung her head slightly. Kat laughed. "You're such good friends." "What about your friends, Kat-chan?" Usagi asked, innocently. Kat wasn't used to the affectionate nickname. It made her feel warm and welcomed. "Well... I don't really have friends outside of my coworkers back home, really," she admitted, quietly. "Don't worry, we'll be your friends, from now on!" Usagi cheered. "Especially if you're going to move here! Oh, you have to move here! Us scouts have to stick together!" Kat smiled at her. "You really think so?" "Of course I do! You can't stay alone! Especially now that Mamo-chan knows he has a sister. Mamo's parents... they died in a car accident when he was younger. So he's never had any blood relatives around. He was an orphan when he was younger. But I'm his family now! I could be... your family too, if you would let me." Usagi offered a soft, small, genuine smile. Kat couldn't help but feel the warmness spread through her. Though there was something that tugged sadly at her heart. How her brother grew up, it didn't sound too much different than her upbringing. Though her parents hadn't died. They had just given her up. She spent most of her life feeling unwanted, and like she didn't belong. But here, now, sitting with the five other girls, and knowing that Mamoru was in her life, it felt like she'd never really been alone at all. That night, Usagi and Katrina went to Mamoru's apartment. When they walked in, the rich smell of home-cooked udon ramen warmed the sparse living-space. "I don't cook often," Mamoru admitted, when he saw Kat eyeing the cooking food. "But this felt like an extra special occasion." He smiled at her and rested his hand atop her head, like he always used to do. It made her smile, fondly. Everything about this day had gone so much better than she had expected it to. In fact, she had been pretty sure that she wasn't even going to find her brother on this short trip at all. At the very least, she would check out Keio and talk to some professors, to see if it would be a good fit for her. But here she was, with her brother, and her new-found friend, whom she felt as if she had known her whole life. Usagi was purity and goodness and sunshine and love. It was no wonder she was Sailor Moon, and Princess Serenity. Even when she wolfed down her double chocolate parfait, leaving whipped cream and chocolate on her face, somehow Kat could still envision her as the princess of the Moon Kingdom. Even when she bickered with Rei in a losing argument, she could see it. Even when she tripped over the lip of the step up into Mamoru's apartment, Kat couldn't shake the vision of who Usagi once was; who she was destined to be. "It looks so delicious, En- Mamoru," Kat said, whilst Usagi peered over her shoulder. Usagi giggled. "Mamo-chan, it looks soooo yummy! Much better than the instant noodles that Mama buys me!" Mamoru laughed, and turned his affections to his fiancé. He slipped an arm around her waist, kissing her tenderly. Kat turned away. She wasn't used to this level of love, or any sort of stable relationship. Because of the way she'd grown up, and the deep-seeded feeling that there was something so very different inside of her, none of her relationships had lasted past the one year mark. And that was only a one time thing. All of her other relationships lasted far less, it seemed. Not that she minded - it had given her time to focus on her studies, and her job. But seeing her brother and Usagi together, Katrina felt a pang in her chest. Quietly, she pulled herself away from the small, but open kitchen, and padded around Mamoru's living space. It was very minimalistic, and she got the feeling that he didn't spend a whole lot of time here, save for sleeping. It was very clear that Usagi didn't spend more than a bit of a time here, either, as there wasn't a woman's touch to be seen. Not even a trace of clothing. "Oh, Mamo-chan! Katrina-chan is looking at enrolling at Keio!" Kat perked up at the sound of her name, and looked at the couple in the kitchenette, mainly her brother. He had one raised brow. "Oh really? What for?" He sounded genuinely interested. "Biology. Zoology to be more specific." "Yeah! Yeah! She wants to work at the zoo. Wouldn't that be so cool, Mamo-chan? She could spend all her days working with cute little animals!" Usagi was so animated. Mamoru smiled at Kat. "That doesn't surprise me. From what I can remember, you were very much an animal-whisperer, even when you were a little girl." It sounded weird having someone refer to her at such a young age. She was used to people knowing that part of her. No one had ever stuck around long enough to even try and learn. She laughed, a little self conscious now. "I guess I did spend a lot of time in the gardens, and the woods, getting to know the animals in the area." "Ooh. Like a real-life Snow White?" Usagi sounded fascinated. "Well... I never sang to them." Kat's face was a little flushed. She wasn't used to all of the attention, and positive feedback she was receiving from both of them. Kat was absolutely flabbergasted when she saw the way Usagi wolfed down three full bowls of ramen, not even waiting for them to cool down, and gasping and whining every time she took an especially hot bite. "Where does it all go?" Kat asked, half joking. Usagi shrugged. "That's what I wonder, all the time," Mamoru said with a chuckle. Once they were all finished, Usagi and Kat stood in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes. "You and Mamoru are really close, huh?" Kat asked. Usagi was happily wiping the dishes dry, and putting them away, as she went. "Of course!" she answered, without missing a beat. "I mean... he's my soul mate. And if time has proven anything to us, it's that we'll always find our way back to each other, every time." Usagi grew quiet for a moment, as if she were deep in thought. "I mean, Queen Beryl killed and brainwashed him, but he came back. Then, he was receiving warning dreams from King Endymion in the future, warning him that he might be my downfall. So we broke up. But he came back. And the Dark Moon Circus was draining his crystal with their powers, while they were here. But he never went anywhere, at least not completely. And then Galaxia... killed him. I thought he was just overseas, studying in America, and he didn't have time for me. But he came back, once I defeated the Chaos in Galaxia." "You know what I'm hearing?" "What's that?" "That you, and your love, have saved him time and time again. Without you battling to protect this planet, and everyone on it, none of us might be here right now. I really wish I had gotten to know you sooner, Usagi." Kat's voice had grown a little softer, a little more quiet. Usagi stopped wiping, and peered up at the other woman. "But... you're here now, and that's all that matters, right?" She smiled so brightly, the room seemed to glow with her energy. "Right." Kat smiled warmly back at her. "Usako!" Mamoru burst from his bathroom, in dark grey sweatpants, his hair still dripping wet from his shower. His voice was urgent. "People are being attacked downtown!"

Just your average day today. Woke up to walk Luna and went to work afterwards. The first few hours I was trying to be productive but my energy wasn’t there. Around 10AM, I decided to take a quick nap and even set an alarm up for 11AM. I somehow ended up sleeping to 1:03PM.. because that's when my manager messaged me to see if I’m attending the team meeting. To be honest, I lowkey freaked out even though that meeting wasn’t very urgent. I just don’t want to leave a bad impression.  Afterwards, I literally got no work done and watched anime. I can’t say I was a very productive worker this week...

After work, I did the same old routine of hanging out with Luna and my family. We ended up watching the anime “Magi” on netflix, which is one of my favorite series even though it was never completed. My sister is going to Texas today, so I decided to buy her dinner prior to taking her to the airport. We got food from “The Brick”. I got the creamy udon with steak and she got parmesan garlic chicken tenders. The creamy udon was actually so good. Perfect amount of creamy and the steak tasted amazing. 8PM came along and I drove her to the airport. Luckily the airport wasn’t very congested so we got in and out relatively fast. Unfortunately for sure, security check in was long but luckily she got there on time. 

When I got home, dad already put Luna to sleep, so I cleaned up and went to my room. I decided to online shop on Asos since they had a 25% everything sale for St. Patty’s day. I spent a hefty amount, but I don’t regret it. I got a yellow fishermen’s beanie that I’ve been wanting so I hope it fits well on me. I have a relatively big head so hats are hard to come around.

Overall, today hasn’t been a bad day. Nothing unusual to be honest. Hopefully tomorrow is another smooth sailing day. Got to be a bit more social tomorrow as it is Emma’s birthday dinner. For now........
