Home sweet home!!! After four days in the hospital following a fall off of the climbing wall, it sure feels good to be home. The injury was called "an open left ankle fracture", but I would call it a mess. Thanks to the great folks @rockreation for all of their help and support. Sorry for the mess! We’re springin’ me loose! After a lovely 12 day stay @ #uclahospital that included 2 heart surgeries & oodles of fun, we are now hopefully done w/ the shenanigans. My beloved #wife & #caregiver @marylousandler & I are going home to get some much needed rest! Cuz they certainly don’t let you sleep much in #hospitals. Big thank you to all the doctors, nurses, & staff @ #UCLA for taking such good care of me. Next time I’ll be back... just for a visit! Just #modeling my #bloodbag. Lol. I’m at #uclahospital. Had a liter of fluid around my #heart & needed an emergency procedure to drain it. Been wearing this bag/drain since Saturday. Now I will need a full #surgery tomorrow (Wednesday) to create a pericardial window so that this won’t happen again. We still don’t know why, just hoping it wasn’t related to my #cancer. It won’t be as big as my open-chest surgery back in August but it’s still a pretty big deal. Will be here at #ucla recovering thru the wknd. Just trying to stay positive & find the benefits in all this. Well at least I’m well fed! #vegan #chickenandwaffles from @nativefoodscafe. Woke up w/ chest pain while breathing, then my heart started thumping painfully hard, especially if I moved around. Didn’t wanna take a chance only 3 months after major open-chest #cancer #surgery, so we came down here to get checked out. Had bloodwork, chest X-ray, & CT scan. Waiting on results now. #Cancer update! The cancer has not spread anywhere else but due to it's size & location, we need to be aggressive to shrink it & then taking the rest out thru surgery. I'm doing 3 methods at once: #chemotherapy #alkalinediet & #cannabisoil. They are expecting 4 cycles of the #chemo w/ each cycle lasting 5 days followed by 2 weeks off.
