i have collected many distros in my adventures (i think i have 100-ish gb in my v2 collection, the first one died with a hard drive fire), although I'm not entirely up to date with what's going on in them nowadays, but i have Thoughts on a few i have tried

Choose UbuntuStudio if you want to Suffer™ (i don't know if this is a positive, sometimes it is such as when i used it) it's clunkier than the root debian with not a lot of benefit from it being built around creating things

Linux mint smells faintly of cinnamon, (if you haven't already fiddled with it already but you probably have) it's easy to get running but it doesn't like keeping the number pad active. The sort of thing you use when DSL doesn't work and you need something you can just plug in and fiddle with

Bunsenlabs i think would be the most up your alley, although a little clunky it feels the most like what the inside of a computer. I don't really see why people don't talk about it. They use the periodic table as their revision names, i think i found it at the second iteration deuterium and it's currently at boron

And then a now defunct os called deft which was for IT and forensics work and the best way for me to describe it is "the clunkerrrrrr"

Same problem in Vivaldi, Chrome, and Firefox; also the Telegram problem is a standalone app. (Pcloud seem to have fixed itself overnight.)

I did a major system update a week and a half ago, then left for spring break. So it's possible this was caused by the system update. (Same update on my home computer didn't cause these problems, though.)

I was gonna say I'm pretty sure it worked after the update but before break, but the thing I was most confident I actually tested then was pcloud, and that one is back to working, so it easily could be the system update.

ubuntustudio-audio-core is pinned to an earlier version for some reason, and I have no idea when or how that happened. Gonna try unpinning it but I don't know why it'd be relevant.

shacklesburst do you have wireshark installed and can check what's going on on the interface? anything interesting on the browser dev console networking tab?

I just installed Wireshark but I don't know what to do with it.

Browser dev console seems to be repeatedly giving me an error "net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT":

But googling says that might be caused by adblock plus? So I tried in google-chrome and got

My office computer has developed a weird behavior that I'm not even sure how to start diagnosing.

I'm running Linux, Ubuntu 23.10 mantic. After an update, my web browser works fine, thunderbird works fine, but multiple other services seem to hang when they contact the internet.

My Telegram app hangs when it tries to connect; my pcloud sync hangs when it tries to connect; and while my web browser works perfectly, videos will only load single preview frames, or play at something like 1 frame per four seconds.

Any ideas on how to start troubleshooting that? I have rebooted the computer. I'm on a weird institutional network connection that can have weird filters, so "They're blocking traffic of type XYZ over port Q" is a plausible culprit, but it would be something they just started doing.

JOGANDO SUPERTUX 2 NO UBUNTU 16.04 LTS

No Mac OS X eu não jogo nada, mas quando estou no Linux (Ubuntu Studio), costumo jogar bastante. Meu jogo preferido é o SuperTux 2, um clone do Super Mario do Windows.
