Ye old Shen twins au where they both become peak lords EXCEPT. Instead of making them twin peak lords or something, we pretend the evidence that the beast peak does likely not exist is lies, and Shen Yuan gets to become peak lord of the beast peak. Why? Because he would LOVE IT there. It's his territory. He gets to be unapologetically nerdy about beasts 24/7 and make it everyone's problem.

As he should.

And bonus! He can snatch LBH at the disciple hole digging. Plot solved! (Assuming the system wouldn't you know. Pull system stuff and force LBH to end up on Qing Jing or some shit.)

Fix-a-Sith AU, my beloved. Does Obi-Wan attend Council meetings with his Sith glaring suspiciously at everyone over his shoulder?

honestly i feel like it's a watershed moment for sith anakin when he attends a council meeting with obi-wan (glowering over obi-wan's shoulder the entire time with Massive Bad Vibes shooting out from all corners of his force signature) and the council is like 'whoa obi-wan, sith in the middle of rehabilitation do NOT attend council meetings??' and obi-wan just shrugs and is like 'oh who is he going to tell? he's temple bound and his comm link is baby sith-proofed.'

and that bugs the hell out of vaderkin for most of the meeting but he can't put his finger on why.....at the end of the meeting, when they're back in their quarters, he's like 'you know i could still contact sidious and tell him everything i just learned. it wouldn't be easy but it wouldn't be extremely difficult. i AM good with technology, you know.'

and obi-wan is like 'oh yes dear, so you've said. i know you're very clever. but you see, what i couldn't say to the council at the time is that i trust you completely to not betray me the way you so easily could.'

and vaderkin bluescreens because trust??? obi-wan trusts him?? his husband?? trusts?? TRUSTS??? he trusts him?? him???

and obi-wan sighs and gives him a very fond only slightly sad smile and he's like 'i know you've been hounding me to fall in love with you, but which one do you think is more damning, darling - to love a sith or to trust one?'

"Hey, Dad, Lily's turning into a sludge monster again."

Lily primly dug her inch-long, edge-shaped adhesive nail-- "An individual," her mother had remarked, eyeing her father significantly across the table, "in all things"-- into the last of her reserves, scraping it along the bottom to further exasperate her brother. "Billy Jeremiah, you are not going to bother my peace."

"You put that on your face? Every night? That's sick."

"What's sick?" And there was her dad, a toothbrush hanging from his mouth as he leaned around her messy, muddy brother, both halfway through her bedroom door. Was no place sacred?

"Dad, William's being a pain again." Absolutely delighted to weird them out, Lily smeared a long streak across her cheek and began rubbing it in with gusto.

"Um, Lily honey," her father hemmed, eyes bouncing from the jar on her vanity to the smudge coating her baby hairs, "that's Vaseline."

"Yep."

"She's snailing," William added with an eye roll.

"Slugging," Lily reproved, purposefully cool and superior. "Which shows how much you know."

"It's for anti-aging," her brother sneered. "What's she need anti-aging for at thirteen?"

"It is not," she snapped, whirling in horror, "for anti-aging. It's for skin rejuvenation and healing." Sighing over their lack of education, she doled out the science with a disciple's devotion. "It creates an exclusive barrier so the skin can quickly repair itself overnight."

"Occlusive." Her mother's head popped through the doorway, swiveling between the invading giants and their subject disapprovingly. "What's going on in here?"

"Lily's 'slugging', Scully-- the new generation's discovering our old ways and giving them new names."

"You guys were slimed, Dad."

Her mother nodded. "Lily's right. There's a significant difference between FDA approved petroleum jelly and the stomach acid of a hundred-year-old liver-eating mutant."

Wrinkling his nose, William fake gagged. "Ew, Mom."

"Ew yourself. Now, go wash up, stinky boy. You've got an early hair appointment tomorrow."

"Ooh, stinky boy," her dad chuckled, chasing Will's ribs while her brother ducked and dodged the exit assault.

"Don't even start-- I'm your secret keeper, remember?"

Her mother snapped to attention, alert and suspicious. "What secret?"

"Guy secrets, Scully."

"'Guy secrets'?"

"Yeah. You only get those after one too many manly talks around the hoop." Grabbing the door, her father began to usher them out, turning one last time to offer a sincere, "Happy slugging," before leaving Lily to the peace of her nightly routines.
