back at it again w/the hxh, heres my recap of the last few eps

ok so i totally forgot to recap that one ep at the end of the hunter exam arc lets see what i remember from like 3 wks ago lollll

i thiiiiink i left off in the middle of ep 21 lol. i really dont remember much tbh so im gonna skim the ep to refresh

exposition time! its so wild that if you lose ur hunter card That It like u cant get another or retake the exam hgabjdfuhasjf Ls

also the fact that you can sell it is rlly interesting

leorio & kurapika backing up gon as he confronts illumi again :’) good lil family

illumi u fool. gon is a shounen protag. he can do anything he sets his mind to

the fact that gon thanks illumi for telling him where killua is....hes literally THAT polite like...what a perfect boy

hisoka just fuckgin stepping out of the shadows....ok bitch

the fact that gon fucked up illumis arm that bad with one hand....boi is STRONK

an exotic game hunter sounds pretty cool! i wonder if we’ll see pokkle again. kinda doubt it? that sounds pretty firmly non-combat based, and therefore probably pretty far from any plot lol

so gons dad is a bigshot huh.....whatever hed be a bigger deal if he didnt abandon his son tbh

gon swinging his feet on the bench....sooo cute

so ging could restore a bunch of ruins but he couldnt raise his son...ok

idk if i talked abt it before but the world map is WILD lmao i love how its all the continents/landmasses scrambled around.....im super curious abt that weird island in the top center of the map, thats the only thing that immediately sticks out as not having a real life equivalent

the music in this show is so charming :’) i love the main theme sm

gon is sooo precious i literally cant get over it. and his hurry to rescue killua is so sweet....and i love how naturally charming/charismatic gon is....pretty much everyone he meets likes him, especially leorio and kurapika, who basically adopted him after knowing him for like a day, and continue to be completely taken by him

ok wtf is satotz & co talking abt......do they know something abt ging that they arent allowed to tell gon???? shouldnt gon have access to the same info now that hes a hunter? i need ANSWERS

i bet this whole thing abt the hunter exam not rlly being over is a metaphor abt the hunter exam NEVER truly ending bc youre always being tested, or st

ok the ED continues to be So Much like especially the last shot where the 4 main characters look like theyre posing for a JC Penny catalog while the singer goes FULL metal-screamo

ok ruth and i just rewatched the next two eps woohoo

i love that there are tourist busses that take people to the front gates so they can like pose for pics and stuff vhbhjafdsfkj and its like ‘ah yes here are where the local assassins live!’ thats so funny yet it makes so much sense

i love that leorio passed tf out during the bus ride. big big mood

gon is so cute...hes like ok yes i understand that we’re not supposed to go in but i think they can make an exception for me bc im very polite.

ok the part where gons on the phone w/the butler is soooo good oh man. i love how gon just calmly dials the phone again after hes hung up on the first time and then YELLS....and leorio and kurapikas faces r so good

also the butler guy unfortunately has a point, it isnt foolproof that gon is here Legit....but he IS let him see his tiny bf :(

as ruth pointed out, the butler guy is reminiscent of kuro from one piece. same vibes

maybe if leorio was jacked like he is in the manga/1999 anime he couldve opened the gate that first time around....Ls

god i love this shows approach to Everything so far,....as ruth put it, half the time its like ‘oh wow they should do [x]/i wish theyd do [x] but ofc they wont cause its a shounen’ but then they DO do [x] and its like damn thats dope

anyways i love how gon is increasingly approaching situations with his Plucky Shounen Protag Attitude in full swing, and he pretty much gets shot down every time. BUT his general determination to see killua bc killuas his FRIEND and hes gonna RESCUE HIM is still a good and pure motivating force

like here, when hes climbing over the wall and hes like whatever i dont wanna have to deal w/being tested thats bullshit, i wanna see killua, my intentions are pure, im gonna try my luck with the dog....i was like ok yeah he’ll get over and like tame or defeat the dog and the guard will be suitably impressed bc nobodys ever done That before, and then gon will continue on to get killua

but NOPE instead the guard calls him down and explains that gon Will Die if he tries that, and then the guard will die too for letting that happen. and gon is like oh shit my actions have consequences for people other than me, wow.

and THEN the guard takes them in to meet the dog. and hot DAMN that is a scary creature. not even really a dog tbh. they did an excellent job making the dog Legit Scary and not just like, big and flashy looking....those eyes are so soulless, and the proportions are freaky

and the guard says exactly what i was thinking - that gon would use his Country Boy Woodland Creature Skills to workaround the dog....but then the subversion - this creature is NOTHING like the woodland critters gon is probably used to dealing with. theres no way gon stood a chance here. the guard just saved him from a really unfortunate death

i love all the Super Heavy Stuff in the servant house that seems so inconvenient vbhjdkfasjfld. also forgot to mention earlier but the guard guy being Absolutely Ripped was wild and kinda funny

training montage! gon continues to be so cute. and i love so much how leorio and kurapika are like no, you rest, we’ll take care of this. good parents!!!!

and then!!!! they sync up and use the power of gay love to almost open the gate. but then gon uses the power of Improbable Shounen Protag Healing Speed to toss that arm sling off and help out

i feel like leorio was side-eyeing gon like w8 a sec u broke that arm like a few days ago that aint right.....

oh man i almost forgot abt that scene with the zoldyks torturing killua :( :( this poor kid he doesnt deserve that

also mom zoldyck seems truly awful but i must say her aesthetic does fuck. the victorian-lookin outfit paired with the futuristic cyclops visor thing....excellent. also im betting this face bandages are from killua cutting her face

killua telling his mom that gon is definitely gonna make it there :’) hes got such unshakable faith in his bf thats so good.....

back w/the gang, and immediately they run into more trouble in the form of the young girl butler, whose name i dont know, but i love her....her design is SO good oh man. a non-caricature black person? who also isnt sexualized? in MY anime??????

i love how gons approach to conflict is currently ‘let more powerful person beat me up for hours straight in hopes that they get tired or something idk bro’ like....i love him lol, is it in an effort to show how determined he is? he doesnt even try to dodge her blows or get around her....id be tryin to hop that fence lol

oh shit the tiny zoldyk kid from earlier is spying on them....she was w/the mom so im sure thats not good

as i said above i doubt hisoka will show up now bc this arc is a lot shorter than i anticipated. also im doubting that illumis even gonna show up honestly

i think we’re gonna have this OP for a while, as the part just at the end shows gon and hisoka fighting in what looks to be an arena, and ik the next arc is the heavens arena arc, which im assuming is the tournament arc....

also i have no idea what that weird building in the OP is but my guess is that its the building w/the heavens arena in it bc its tall and,,,,heaven

i predict there wont be much fighting in this little arc bc how tf else is it so short. at this point i rlly think gon is just gonna grab killua and go lmao. im super curious abt how thats gonna go down, considering that killua is currently strung up just bc he wont apologize...so i cant imagine his family would just let him leave w/gon. i wonder if killua will fight them, or if gons determination will impress them and then theyll let killua go (doubt it)

SNOW (MARIVANA)

ideas & stuff!! feel free to message me either here or on urstyle or wherever else u have me, or comment directly on this post, to plot! ill put finalized notes w/ rest of snow’s info once we have it down :)

Sky - so since seraphina’s a newer racer, she and marivana don’t know each other super well? but they’re almost complete opposites, in terms of like racing specialties, and marivana doesn’t feel threatened by seraphina in any way. she probably keeps her distance whenever they aren’t doing things their agency has sent them on?

It would be kind of fun to say that maybe, as a publicity stunt, twilight’s official statement is that snow has been mentoring sky behind the scenes?

and they have to pretend that’s true, even though it’s not lol

LOL but it would be funny if one day marivana showed up at the track while seraphina was doing stuff and was just like, “so twilight wants me to teach you something that makes it look like i’ve actually been helping u. u free atm?”

but overall I don’t think marivana has too many strong opinions about seraphina, unless we want to create some kind of drama?

Ice - premade; tbd

Supernova - Marivana is…pretty indifferent? when it comes to Supernova. She knows who she is and what she’s done, of course-who doesn’t?-but if you think that she’d be starstruck and/or falling over herself when Supernova’s around her…well, you’d be wrong. Marivana’s had multiple trusted parties tell her that she’s just as good as Supernova was, at her peak, so she knows that she’s not a threat-for now, at least. Marivana’s a bit wary of the other racer, but also a bit curious to see as to where this comeback will lead.

So, depending on how much of the wedding and divorce was public....Marivana def would remember 1) the wedding, and 2) not giving a shit about it

The 2 of them have raced together, right at the very beginning of Marivana’s career? like 10+ years ago? and if As even remembers all that girly snow princess stuff, she could be like “lmao so twilight really pulled a 180 on her”

AHHHH so I know I never made this explicitly clear because I suck as a human being but - the deal with unicorns is that agencies/manufacturers/etc say that they’re just robots? agencies probably actually believe it, but in terms of the manufacturers they might be vaguely aware of otherwise but also don’t want to jeopardize any profits so they keep that shit on the DL

but obviously for ppl like Mari/As who have been riding for p much their entire life, they can tell when horses are distressed, happy/content, etc?

and robot unicorns are basically horses in terms of how sentient they are?

so i have no fucking idea when this would happen, but the 2 of them mutually acknowledging that RUR is pretty fucked up for the unicorns?

also like....IT WOULD BE SO CUTE if the two of them sort of rolled their eyes at the same time about some kind of story regarding another rando racer who quit maybe a lil after As did (so the newer racers aren’t familiar with her)? and then they realize that they both rolled their eyes at the same time LOL

Flower - Marivana knows exactly what 𝑅 𝐼 𝒮 𝐸 is pulling with Flower (her own agency did the same thing to her, after all), and she is not fooled at all. She’s not stupid; in the robot unicorn racing industry, nobody is completely, utterly unknown when they debut unless they had no prior experience with robot horses/unicorns in the past. Marivana knows that Flower probably had to work her butt off to stay with 𝑅 𝐼 𝒮 𝐸, and she would bet her right hand that the image that Flower puts out to the public is just that - an image.

*chanting* AURIVANA AURIVANA AURIVANA

is the lil club plot we have how they meet/1st time they actually talk 2 ea other????

speaking of which - how do we want to write that? collab in a gdoc???

& then they just keep coincidentally running into ea other randomly????

aura saying something super Flower-esque and marivana just rolling her eyes and being like, “ok great now tell me what you really think about __” ??? lol

aura somehow discovering that marivana is into BOTANY, of all things????

maybe this is when she makes some sort of dry remark about the bio for Flower on the RISE website? “[Flower] grew up in a lush green meadow, hidden away from prying eyes by miles and miles of ice. How Flower managed to get the ice to melt for long enough to plant flowers and trees will always be a mystery.” and marivana’s like “lol magic my ass there’s literally no fucking way”

she explains it with a good amount of scientific jargon thrown in and aura’s just like watttttttttttttt :0000

OMG THIS IS LIKE WAY IN THE FUTURE BUT LIKE, we should say that their secret relationship somehow ends up going public for the ~drama~??? and instead of being super freaking pissed off, both of their agencies are just like “lmao okay ice queen x fairy princess? best ship” and use it for publicity?????

Flame - Marivana knows about 1) the image that she projects, and 2) that this image is pretty true to who Flame really is, for the most part. Her verdict? Flame could prove to be annoying, if she gets relevant while Marivana is still in the industry as a racer. Marivana doesn’t know what life not racing would be like, but she’s well-aware that she’s the oldest racer out there (well, besides Supernova, who doesn’t count. She’s making a comeback, after all), and that retirement is probably not too far out in her future. So, if Flame is still around within the next 5-10 years, then Marivana might start worrying about her. For now, she’s just the irritating racer with ʟᴀᴢᴇʀ who won’t ever stop causing a scene.

So they haven’t really interacted much yet, do we wanna say?

they’re wary of each other because both their unicorns specialize in high power/strength so they’re like, more directly in competition?

are they going to engage in the RUA equivalent of a twitter fight??? in a publicity stunt that both of their agencies are putting on?

maybe snow has once insulted kehlani in an interview??? though it was fake/staged/scripted by her agency so she doesn’t actaully feel that way but ya know. doin it for the vine

and kehlani responds in kind, maybe at the behest of lazer, maybe not?. and it just keeps going???

but ya, marivana prob finds her personality kinda annoying so would generally avoid her unless kehlani approached first

Nyx - so like, snow probably thinks sol is way too flashy and all over the place, & does not engage her ever? she knows of the rumors of foul play, ofc, b/c who doesn’t, but she assumes that the rumors are super blown out of proportion (as rumors tend to be)?? and snow knows that if sol ever tries to target her/other ice world racers specifically, twilight will literally strong-arm lazer into dropping her. so she’s not that worried about that stuff????

definitely thinks her razor-sharp precision with U-800 is something to be admired, though, even if it’s not the flashiest skill like dressage or speed

OMG LOL spoiler alert but the 2nd event is a race on lava world, so they’re all on the main LW training/practice facilities in the days leading up to the race???? and we TOTALLY need to have them do that weirdly super aggressive staredown/pre-game smack talk sesh that they do in super extra sports anime LOL

Widowmaker - snow’s heard of her, knows of her, has competed against her, but since they both tend to keep to themselves they haven’t really talked? it could be potentially cool if eleni guessed about/found out about what actually happened with marivana’s 1st unicorn?? OMG DRAMA but what if she actually knew of the armed thief? who was on ice world for whatever reason lmfao we can hand-wave it. bonus points if she’s pissed that 1st unicorn killed the person?????????? lol

and it could be POTENTIALLY FUN to write a scene with them where eleni basically calls her out on the fact that, yeah marivana fucking hates twilight for deactivating the first unicorn so why tf does she still race for them/earn them so much money???

also marivana has literally no retirement plans atm so.....i have NO FREAKING IDEA if this would ever be possible or not, but if she somehow?? gets involved? with the people who wanna fuck up TEF govt for not giving a single shit about black hole ??? ? ??? ?? thru eleni????????//

dabihawks and the villainsquad christmas drabble bc its crimas!!

im like late but its my dads bday on christmas so I was understandably busy

oh my god my dad is jesus

hawks has been with the league for several months

hes on their side

kinda

its complicated

but he knows them well and hes pretty close to the vanguard action squad

and he thinks he knows them well enough that hes not surprised by the heights that their bullshit will go anymore

welp

toga himiko is here in an ugly christmas sweater to dangle a twig of sad looking mistletoe that says ‘ding dong u are wrong’ in his face

he is understandably surprised when dabi nudges him as they walk to the meeting on christmas eve and says

“dont freak out”

hes like ‘???what?’

and hawks looks up at the door of the league hq as he steps inside, shivering even though hes wearing two hoodies and leggings under his jeans and he immediately blinks thrice in quick succession and is gaping in an unflattering way

bc the entire bar is covered in christmassy décor.

the counter looks like a tinsel monster threw up on it, jingle bell rock is playing in the background, there is a fire place with many many meticulously labeled socks hung above it precariously, looking like theyre gonna be set on fire any second now, and every villain in the league is wearing an ugly christmas sweater, some of them looking resigned, some of them looking confusingly ecstatic

hes just wide eyed

dabi snickers beside him and steps forward, gently pushes up on his jaw, closing his mouth

“ur gonna catch flies, loser”

hawks is blushing slightly but he ignores it and follows dabi

‘do y’all always go this full on out? bc I can. um. I can get behind this’

dabi stops. looks at hawks.

he looks adorable and shy and dabi is cooing on the inside

bc hawks just wants to be part of this christmas celebration that feels so familial and nothing like what hes used to

bc the only christmas celebration hawks has been part of is his agency’s, and rumi sending him wine each year without fail

he looks just like how dabi felt when he first arrived, ill prepared, to the previous christmas celebration at the league ft the vanguard action squad

aka the first happy christmas he had spent in a long fucking time

but he shrugs it off

dabi, softly but with feeling: i thought u were normal

hawks: what

dabi, tears in his eyes: but now shes coming dont say I didnt warn you

hawks, growing fearful: w-who

dabi, whispering: t-tog-

he is interrupted by toga, naruto running at top speed wearing a horrendous neon fucking orange christmas sweater that satan himself would balk at

she jumps on top of them making them both fall on the ground with her on top of them

toga at top, earpiercing, wince inducing volume:

‘MERRY CHRIMAS YOU HO HO HOES’

*panicking hawks voice* what the motherfuckin CHRIST OH MY GOD

bc jin and spinner are right behind her

5 seconds later sees a resigned dabi and a wildly confused, blushing hawks are being engulfed by jin, spinner and toga as they squeeze them to death

they then proceed to shove ugly sweaters on top of their heads

dabi’s sweater is neon pink with a rudolph the red nosed reindeer pattern

hawks’ sweater is lime green and has actual fairy lights strung on it like they light up

he looks delighted and dabi stares at him sappily

shigaraki went insane from togas badgering and bought an army’s worth of hot chocolate in bulk

the remains of which were distributed by the league to the poor and the street villains

a little warmth for their, cold lonely christmases to ensure that they wouldn't be as empty as before

*excited toga voice* ‘GUYS LETS GO CAROLLING’

*flat shigaraki voice* ‘toga we cant we’re villains’

‘so??’

‘we would get arrested’

‘fuck why are we villains’

there is a christmas tree

and holy fuck it is so big

its huge

hawks has to crane his neck up to see all of it

they make hawks put up the star, which for some reason hasn't been put up yet and is in the art style of the stars from dora the explorer

it was like this

toga ‘well I put it up last year whos doing it this year’

shigaraki ‘im the boss so technically-’

spinner arguing ‘im the second youngest so-’

jin ‘oh fuck no ur not ur like thirty u old man-’

spinner ‘oh fuck no im not u bitch-’

their voices overlap as they argue for like ten minutes while kurogiri hopelessly tries to stop them to no avail

jin ‘I want to do ittt but we should let hawks’

hawks ‘what’

dabi, grinning wildly “oh yes absolutely hes the youngest and the newest”

hawks, whispering angrily ‘fuck u man u know I cant reach that high-’

dabi smugly “im sorry what was that”

hawks, yelling ‘too bad guys im too short I guess the bossman has to do it’

toga, unimpressed and trying to get dabi and hawks to fuck:

‘stop sucking up to the bossman-’ ‘I love u for saying that’ ‘-and its chill dabi can pick u up’

dabi stops laughing abruptly

“what”

hawks, rapidly shakin his head ‘nononono its chill i’ll just fly-’

spinner, also trying to get dabi and hawks to fuck ’YOU CANT!‘

hawks ‘why tf not’

jin, wracking his brains for a solution ‘uhhhh bc we dont want you to put strain on your wings’

hawks, touched, ’oh my god! thanks guys you’re so sweet, but its okay really-’

shigaraki, firmly ‘nope dabi has to pick hawks up im the boss and I say so’

hawks: well fuck

toga films, awing from behind the camera as a blushing hawks is lifted up by a blushing dabi to place the star on the top of the glittering christmas tree

dabi, eyes wide as he stares at the big, soft, pretty red feathers of hawks’ upper back and the back of his head, blonde hair pinned back, and then he looks down at the delicate, fluffy, smaller feathers above the small of his back, and he swallows and feels his face get redder when he notices how it arches when hawks stretches his hand up to set the star into place

then he startles as hawks turns around triumphantly in his arms, beaming and tossing a peace sign at toga, and he adjusts his hold on his thighs quickly and looks up at the same time hawks looks down at him, smiling brilliantly and dabi’s breath catches

he looks iridescent in the glow of the candles and fairylights strung around the bar and on the tree and absently dabi thinks, “toga’s still filming”, but everything falls away in light of hawks’ smile softening as he tilts his head at dabi and he was helpless when it came to this angel

hawks threw his head back and laughed at something twice was saying and dabi’s eyes traced the line of his tan throat

hawks looked back at dabi and smiled, saying ‘the tree looks amazing, huh?’

dabi, breathlessly; “’doesn't hold a candle to you babe’

hawks’ eyes widened and there was a pretty blush painting his cheeks pink and dabi was enchanted as he leant up and kissed him hard

hawks was enthusiastic in his response, kissing back and throwing an arm on dabi’s shoulder, the other hand threaded in his hair

and toga was still filming them and whooping as they kissed slowly and softly in front of the tree, hawks still in dabi’s arms, legs wrapped around his waist

jin and spinner were cheering when they split apart slowly, blushing madly when they saw the league surrounding them

shigaraki, sagging against kurogiri in relief ‘well thank fuck thats over I dont think I could have taken the fuckin ust any longer’

dabi smirkin up at hawks ‘I think I know what my christmas present is now ;))’

hawks smirking back “yeah ;)) a bible ;)))))”

dabi breaks down cackling breathlessly into hawks’ neck and hawks just stares at him lovingly

shigaraki, in slowly dawning horror ‘fuck this isn't what I wanted theyre gonna be worse now abort aBORT’

first of all hooooooooolyyyy shiitttt

FUCK tungle. it took like 30 tries to log in on desktop. admittedly, i was using the wrong password at first, BUT, even when i remembered the right one it kept giving me shit. This is what i get for being L337 i guess... -_-

anyways, im only on desktop so i can add a readmore to say:

i just,,,,,hate voltron. okay? It sucked. it fucking sucked. i watched the first season and it was like, okay yeah, this has potential. and then s2 was like, okay yeah not as good but maybe s3 will pick up...

s3 didn’t pick up. it was just one long death spiral by the same idiots who fucked up the atla sequel. i hate their writing, i hate their story plots, i hate how they butcher any good ideas they have, and i especially hate their inability to have good character AND plot development happen at the same time.

I got swept up in storm of klance and that’s about it. i have soft spots for other ships but at the end of the day i don’t care. i just don.t fucking,,, care???

the fandom is a mess, the crew was a mess, everything was a fucking mess from the get go.

Like who tf is this show written for?? it has to be for like, 8-10 year olds. It has to be. Everything is just so....stupid. Nothing is ever properly explained, motivations never really given, everyone is just a 2 dimensional cardboard cutout of a trope. And that pisses me off so much bc like??? other shows aimed at young kids can still have great world building. they can have good world building and characters and overall story and still be cheesy and a lil dumb. cheesy and a lil dumb is completely fine!! but voltron is just so...godammn... BORING!! it’s like i WANT to like the characters but its just so goddamn hard when everybody is so fucking flat. by all rights, i should want to marry allura. shes everything i loved when i was little, from her color pallet to her princesshood to her white fucking hair!! i should LOVE allura but i don’t!! i kind of hate her. why?? i don’t know!! shes so...boring! and flat! and fucking PASSIVE! everything in this show lands so fucking flat holy shit.

pidge at matts “grave”? yikes, that was second hand hard to watch for like.... “oooh this is so serious!” but the buildup wasnt there...it was kind of funny tbh... and HELLA awkward...

don’t get me started on lance and hunk. bolin was my favorite look character for the first few episodes and then he got knocked to Comic Relief and had maybe two (2) importantish moments. he/they may be part of the main cast but they’re not main characters. they feel like background props to the Actual Main characters.

which brings me to keith.

FUCK keith.

that’s my reaction after every! new! season!! is just,, FUCK keith. god the show functioned SO WELL without him. he’s just so...idk. i also don’t care. what was his character arc anyway? it SHOULD have been about learning to love and trust others but we only get that in lip service and speed run character development (i hate the quantum abyss...so much... like yeah, who cares about SHOWING our characters mature, let’s just tell that it happened in afucking montage.) if keith were a properly developed character he shouldve remained PASSIONATE and idk, run support?? that boy SHOULD have piloted red, end of story. period. keith doesn’t need to lead he needs to learn to TRUST others and that insludes trusting other WITH HIS LIFE. i won’t rant about how we should have had black paladin lance, but keith should have never ever been black paladin. even after he “matures” he still sucks at. he’s this awful,,little,, Shiro 2.0. and I hate it. i ahte it and i hate shiro just a little bit. even though he was arguably the most likeable character, he shouldve stayed dead. or missing. or whatever. he didn’t need to come back and they didnt need to make keith a little offbrand clone of him. i ESPECIALLY hate that they aged keith up 2 years for no goddamn reason other than to make him the Adult (tm). keith’s dedication to others was gre4at, but it should have, and im failing for this word here so forgive me, climaxed? cresscendo’d? whatever. /resulted/ in him playing support. not leader. lone wolf keith doesn’t need how to lead his pack, he needed to learn to HELP his pack. to be a TEAM PLAYER. he didn’t want the responsibility of leading bc guess what?? some people hate leading!! there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be support! keith’s entire arc is a huge mess of missed opportunities and a grand illustration that he is lm’s and jds’ favorite, just like fucking mako.

i won’t rant about mako, but just know i fucking hate him and the special treatment he gets, and good LORD does keith take over mako. keith isn’t space zuko he’s space mako and it fucking SHOWS.

okay, i’m losing steam here, but like.... so apple, why tf where u voltron 24/7 if you hated it so much? because homestuck was over and i needed a new hyperfixation. and i really had to force it for vld tbh. and at the end of the day, it wasn’t so much about the show itself as the potential of klance (or sheith, up until s3). between the interviews, the coding, the fucking EVERYTHING--it really felt like it could be canon. i knew in my heart it was queer baiting but i had HOPE dammit. hope that this could be killer representation, hope that these characters would delvelopment into something incredible. again, there was so much POTENTIAL. and all of it was wasted. everything really came to a head during the fucking game show episode. it was like lm and lds giving everyone who likes lance the middle finger, really driving home that “no no, he IS just stupid. he’s the comic releif. there’s nothing deeper about him and no one will stand up for him bc they all think of him as such.” and that just....broke my heart. we were so...SO close to lance actually mattering but nope! bolin’d again! and what was his purpose in s8? why to be an accessory to allura of course!

i’ve seen a lot of people really divorce themselves from canon and live solely for fanon, esp fanon klance but like.... i can’t. i just can’t. it’s so fucking hard to work with these cardboard characters. you can only draw so much depth onto them, you know? until the very last moments they had potential, but then it all got snuffed out. but who cares about canon? why bother with it? because! we don’t have a solid consistent fanon version of them! no one sat down and delivered the ten commandments of “here’s what we agree k and l are actually like” it’s stupid and it sucks because everyone has their own little differences and its so so tiring to basically be interacting with minutely different ocs all the goddamn time. canon matters bc it gives everyone the same base to work with. like a cooking showing with the same basket ingredients, but now it’s like.... ya’ll don’t wanna use the mandatory ingredients (and why would you? those canon ingredients are like, a century egg and spoiled sardines, they’re awful.)

okay, and im at work and just came back to this and dont remember my train of thought so like... what really threw all this into sharp clarity was the recent steven universe episodes. they were so...GOOD. so fucking good. so much plot and foreshadowing coming to a head. it was such a wonderfully satisfying payoff that it made me remember what a GOOD show is like, how vld is so very very /bad/. the difference is fucking striking. where one is an intricately woven tale with excellent character development and clear story AND character arcs, that can progress AT THE SAME TIME, one is a hacked together flaming dumpster firing that constantly falls flat and doesn’t know where its going or why. and it s so BORING! like fight scenes can be amazing! they can be well coreographed and tense! and we as the audience can be anxious about the outcome! and vld just wasn’t that! it was boring repetetive action in the least exciting way. and where su set up a lot of potential, holy shit they DELIVERED on that potential. not just for rep, but for characters! for story! for plain ol simple character interactions! and then, again, two dimensional cardboard cutouts.

and now with this difference in good vs bad show so very clearly highlighted for me, i just.... i can’t, anymore, with vld. it sucks. it sucked and i can’t pretend or force a fixation with it that just isn’t there, and truthfully, probably never was. maybe that’s why i’ve been struggling to finish my fic, struggling ever since i posted the last chapter, ever since s7, which, again, that game show was really the nail in the coffin as far as holding onto any hope that this tire fire would ever pick up. like a physically feel ill trying to finishing this stupid fic bc i don’t care so hard. i don’t care and i just... really want to be over it. im sick of seeing it everywhere, im sick of the drama, of the Discourse. like all fandoms have their issues, but hold fuck does vld fandom have a massive Purity problem. like, god, let people ship whatever. who cares. die mad about it.

like homestuck, idk if i’ll ever fully ween myself off vld but i want to move on. i want to enjoy Other Things without having this lackluster weight on my shoulders. and more than anything, i want to stop feeling like im obligated to like the same shit as i did two years ago, or last year, or hell, last week! feel free to unfollow, but yeah i just.... really needed to let this out in a proper post and not in the misc tags somewhere.

He was fourteen or fifteen, and looked a little bit older than he was, but he was in over his head and had to use his power a few times just to get a meal or sometimes a job so that he wouldn't starve to death. he made his way slowly across the country, hitchhiking, mostly. anyone that wanted something more from him than he was comfortable giving as payment for the lift suddenly decided that what they really wanted was to pull over and let this wonderful boy out. Disgusted with himself, wondering if sucking cock wasn't actually a more honest way to get as far from where he'd been born as possible, Jack kept going out of sheer determination. Prolly did a few minor acts of heroism along the way, which gave him a taste for it.

But he just catches Gabe's hand and pulls it to his mouth for another soft kiss and murmurs into his palm that he's fine, everything is good.

the guys i knew at my old school always joked about the worse parts of tumblr with me irl so it seems fake to me that those parts actually exist since it’s so hard to conceptualize when it’s being told to you face to face opposed to like, reading about it on a post. stuff like joking over people who go “me and josh dun share kin memories and i’ll murder anypony thats a double” you know? anyway i was just checkin out blogs that looked funny or looked like they were run by chill people and there was this guy who was a fuckin, uh reblogging shit from that fanbase that worships serial killers. it was so jarring it was like, here’s a snarthurt post, here’s a guy sliding down a banister and doing a backflip, “i’m thirsty for dahmer”, here’s some ok ko fanart. specifically it was this columbine shooter amv set to This Is My Fight Song and that stuff snapped me out of my soup high at the speed of sound, guys i wish i could brush off that kind of stuff easy and just go about my day but i’m way too empathetic for this kind of stuff i guess

i was gonna originally end the post here but i’m gonna go on a tangent just because i have time wheeeee

i’m gonna steer off course here since i already put everything under a cut and don’t have to care about this getting long, and say that, every time i see a really WEIRD post like something as general as “i hate belarus and every single fucker who lives there” or something as unimportant as “i wanna strangle people who like dogs” and it has thousands of notes, and it’s just people silently reblogging? i bet the belarus and dog people examples sound exaggerated or like the beginning of a straw man argument but those are the genuine vibes i get from some posts like... let me think of an example. there was this one time where i saw a post that went along the lines of “(south american country (don’t remember the name)) and the people in there make me so uneasy like if you tell me you’re from this country i’m gonna start backing tf away. lmao.” and it was all silent reblogs so i just said “what happened to u in there” cuz i don’t know this fucker, idk what they’ve been through. maybe they got mugged there or something and then this guy just responds “don’t speak to me thanks :)” (i fucking hate passive aggressive smileys but then. i hate passive aggressive anything) and then they blocked me, like where oh where did you learn that that was an okay response to anything, ever, if you’re gonna block me for expressing concern on your abstract as hell public post why are you gonna react like that. so, just putting that out there, those posts cheese me out cuz it gets me confused about like, what’s the country lore? why would you hate a whole country? i mean getting bitter about it and posting about it isn’t my route and i get why you would hate... the leader of a country, the way a country is run, what the leaders of those countries did in the past or plan to do in the future, but i see so much country hate and it’s not even commonly hated countries sort of like how everyone hated on germany lmao, like i’ll see a hate post for a country that i don’t even know where to start on why you would even hate this country it’s so alright and settled, like sometimes i see a “i hate france. we stan canada” post and it’s widespread enough to make me super uncomfortable. maybe i’m just too soft and doughy for these guys but like, you ever think about every mother father child innocent citizen living in a country and you ever think about their feelings when they read something like that

WHICH MOVES ME ON TO MY NEXT POINT

which is weird posts that just talks about hating something that contains a lot of different people and portrays them as some sort of hivemind or like, whatever manipulative tactic a random 25 year old would use to dehumanize people who don’t like the company of.... mouthbreathers or something. and you go into the notes to see what’s up and a bunch of people are like “why would you want to kill men? i’m trans and whats your deal” or “why do you want to kill people who listen to kpop? i’m korean not everybody who listens to pop wants to finger jimin” or something that follows that structure (kill all kpop fans and kill all men are the two most common posts i see that strike me as like, kind of weird to spread when its so generic btw those weren’t examples pick out of a hat) and then somebody jumps in and says ITS A FUCKING JOKE PEOPLE 😂😂😂 like i really hate someone doing that because an og post would be phrased so genuinely and real, like it makes me think that that’s a real person behind that screen who lives their life like everybody else except they think in such black and white bold statements. i like to think i’m someone who can pass through a crowd and look generally normal, but when someone swoops in and says SIKE WHAT ARE YOU AN IDIOT ITS A JOOOOOKE CHIILLLLLL it makes me question, just how fucking well i DO mesh in with everybody else? was everybody else in on the joke? what’s the punchline? you think all pisces should die in a hole? whats going on. there are only a couple of people who i know are like “I DONT GET THE JOKE” all the time, in real life and they’re kinda annoying i suppose. like you could make a joke and this kind of person would be like, “why are you guys even laughing i hate people.” that probably sounds fake but that actually happened like i was bantering with this girl at my new school and i make some joke about how the public school lunch sucked, i dont remember the punchline it was probably something tame just to get to know her or some weak shit like that, but this girl looked me in the eyes and said “that’s not funny” in a deadpan voice then later walked off while i was answering this one question she asked me about the school clubs. the fuck, anyway actually having that role where you’re the guy asking “whats with this post?” and everyone just says ITS A JOOOKE and you didn’t even sense in the slightest that this could be a joke, at all, in any way... it just feels REAL alienating, it makes you feel like a bona fide dumbass, and you sorta see yourself as the jerkass telling some random chick at school “that’s not funny” then walking away as they answer something. it makes you feel like there’s something wrong with you that people have always been able to sense. it makes you feel too intense and uneasy in your own skin like you don’t know yourself at all and everyone around you is pretending and keeping up an act so that you, the fool, don’t realize you’re embarrassing yourself.

anyway. if you actually read all the way to the end... kudos i’m not gonna revise this or look over it at all so its gonna be a wild ride to read i know it. you get 20 brownie points from me personally have a good day

This got outta hand so quickly. But here was my overall answer:

I follow a lot of seventeen blogs. Like a lot. But I also follow a lot of people who are generally nice and who have cute tags because they help brighten up my day. I like art blogs and those calming aesthetic blogs because they make my dash prettier. And I follow my in-real-life friends like @leechansthighs and @verifiedspheniscidae and @vernaans no matter their content (although their blogs are all still A+ content and I’d probably follow them regardless). And I like @myetie so much that I played Mystic Messenger just to better understand what was going on in her artwork because her art is cute and funny and I stumbled upon it accidentally so I had to catch up.

But to get specific? Hmmm, well, in no particlar order….

Of course I have my mutuals like @miiinghao @kimbapkidding @thatgirlcatt13 @jeonwonxwoo and @kw0njisol who I probably forgot to reply to like 3 billion years ago in chat but are still amazing and I love with my soul but am too nervous to say anything to because I know the only reason we’ve stopped talking is because I’m disorganized af.

And then, well, @fyhoshi probably dominates my dashboard with HD Hoshi pics (not that I mind, really). Seriously, if you’re a Hoshi stan, follow them (you likely already are). You won’t regret it. In a very similar way, if you’re a Woozi stan, then you’ve gotta follow @woozioppa for all her constant updates and flooding of your dashboard. Just from following her, Woozi jumped like 5 spots on my bias list because of all the Woozi content.

@pristeen-23 is honestly such a good friend (used to write on her blog but not anymore,,, GIRL I’M STILL MOURNING). She’s friends with so many people because she’s a beautiful human being and deserves to be loved and rolled into a warm blanket and fed good food bye.

OKAY so who hasn’t heard of @woozifi? Honestly, whether it’s for Tessa’s art or Tessa’s writing (CHECK OUT HER AO3), she excels in whatever she does. Talk about multitalented. Her commissions are open here.

I like art blogs a lot!!! @bodtster was probably the first fan art blog I ever followed and I am lowkey,,, in love,,, with Annie and her work (her personal @sailorpeach is hella aesthetic if you also wanna check that out.) Her commissions are open right here.

@94wnd Graphics man, graphics. She’s the pop of colour on my dash that always makes me stop and go “ooOoOhh” because her graphics are so vibrant and pleasing. And her writing is great too! Definition of that one mom friend who always makes you feel like honey, starlight, and warm hugs on a Thursday afternoon. She makes me feel good about my angst and I love reading her tags okay.

I frickin love memes and shitposts, and I recently discovered @amemericans [I know, I know, y’all are all like “where have you been?” and ur rite where have I been?]. They’ve got the best memes in the business. We have recently formed the idol group Clickb8,,, and are accepting all applications – so rhymes, limericks, and haikus thx.

@incorrect7teen always makes me laugh with her incorrect quotes and love for DK,,, She’s really sweet and interactive too. Her little window into her daily life and thoughts is really so entertaining, and one can’t help but want to be friends ^^

@doyomi has some great incorrect NCT quotes, so if any NCTzens are floating around. @gwikimchi is her main blog but she has like a million blogs that I apparently don’t follow even though I know them by heart??? FRICK I’M THE DAMN WORST. ( @lordyoungho for kpop horoscopes and @sebooty-lyfe for writing).

Choco from @choco-seventeen is such a sweetheart and her writing is stunning. Legit, her writing will probably make you want to cry. Heck, I have cried while reading her writing. And I will continue to cry because she always gets better and better and is always looking to improve and wow everything she does motivates me.

Did you know that if you looked up talent in the dictionary you’ll get @hansolmates? Legit when I saw her writing for the first time I blanched. I wish man, I wish. Her timing is terrific, her fluff makes me melt, and her angst makes me jealous. I wish I had an ounce of her skill.

Another art blog I follow is @cutiepatoodieart, who never fails to impress. Joey’s style is absolutely breathtaking and I love her art so so much. As well, she always says what’s on her mind without holding back, which I think is admirable. Her commissions are also very open right here.

@hoshbrownie is precious. Absolutely precious. Eva will talk to you and make you feel like you matter. She will think about you and tag you in things and I’m actually teary-eyed because she’s so precious and every not-so-anonymous anon (hoshbrownie i see u) I get from her makes me so happy.

@svt-husbands THE WELL OILED AND FAST WORKING MACHINE. You guys know who they are, of course you do. Great quality writing at insane speeds, these guys are everything I want to be bye. I remember first talking to one of the admins @squishteen , and I was like ??? How do such interesting people exist ??? She’s amazing and writes on her main as well, go follow her. I more recently started talking to @jeongguktm, and can confirm that yes she is as adorable and kind as one might expect her to be. ALSO JUST REALIZED THAT I RECENTLY MISSED HER BIRTHDAY and tf is wrong with me, this isn’t how you make friends. Happy belated birthday sweets

Jackie from @tookorean lowkey intimidates me because everything she does turns to gold. She’s hard working and loves Woozi and if that’s not enough reason to follow then I don’t know what is. Sometimes translates, sometimes does this. Another multitalented goddess on our hands, this is getting overwhelming.

@vitaminniedk just read her tags and you’ll understand why I follow her. She also has probably the best theme around? Vivienne is as much of a sunshine as her bias, and you’ve probably seen her gifs floating around.

Gen from @wonnhao is a gif goddess that you are probably all aware of and her interactions are really cute too so of course I’m following her. Aren’t you?

@wasabi-duck who is on an indefinite hiatus but you should still see her writing anyway. She was the sole person who attracted me to the bullet-point style that’s getting more and more popular around here these days. My friends and I would like read her stories out loud at lunch over sandwiches and I feel nostalgic just writing this. She’s also very kind and I like the stuff she reblogs on her main @clockwork-lullaby.

@mounteenbase is back from the dead so check her out! Lots of fun lil blurbs and bullet-point fics. Fluff master and a lowkey meme master. Very cute and easy to talk to, fun and interesting as one can see from her main blog @mounteenbase-main.

@saythename17scenarios is graceful. Perhaps that’s not the right word but heaven knows my vocabulary isn’t extensive enough to describe how I feel about Kimbap Mom. Her writing is distinctive and tactful, and she often finds the greatest of beauty in the simplest of concepts. One day she might write a full length multi-part fic and I will be here eagerly awaiting each update because I’m trash for her.

@moodboards-and-profiles flowers and unicorns and everything pure. When we first talked she was legit one of the most encouraging people I’ve ever met, and I’m sure that remains the same despite our lack of communication! Actually has some really cute moodboards (that she should tag because she can gain some major attention winkwinknudgenudgeshoveshove).

Oh and recently I started following @askjournalismsvt and this is probably my favourite SVT Tumblr AU ever. Sam and Kei perfectly portray Seventeen as members of the “Diamond City University journalism department” and answer questions with the cutest of doodles ack. They’re also hilarious and I want to be this funny.

And whilst writing this, @puppetwritings popped into my head even though I just followed her like now. She was the first fanfic account that I got into way before I actually made an account and since I didn’t have an account I would just check her Tumblr constantly and put her in my bookmarks. I got busy after a while and then made my account after another while, but I can’t believe I forgot to follow such a phenomenal writer.

HOW TO NOT MINGLE WHEN YOU’RE NOT SINGLE

So is it just me or does it feel like, recently, cheating has been in shhtyle!? I mean, music pushing the agenda to steal someones girl did not just come out of the blue! Girls are REALLY out here cheating simply because they see an attainable BALLER! While boys are becoming more comfortable with NON consensual polyamory. Both parties are being drawn to wo/mens other than their own and even with all of this shade, people all over are settling for the romantic minimum when the relationship they have is not exactly the relationship of their dreams. But YO! the B.S does not stop there. Our women tend to be taking uppercase L’s in these situations. While women often stick around to get their heart trampled, in hopes of working something out. Men typically will not tolerate a ‘sexually unfaithful’ significant other (s/o). Now do not get me wrong, I fasho’ know some girls that are straight dogs *enters dog emoji*, however, it just seems that men are more familiar with being caught un infidelity. BUT enough ranting, what u really want to talk about is:

“How to NOT Mingle When You're NOT Single”...for the boys who can not keep it in their pants and the girls who need more than one partner to dance.

Although what I am about to recommend totally depends on your specific reason(s) for cheating; they can all prove useful as suggestions, and they are just that... SUGGESTIONS. HARD SUGGESTIONS. So here is where I will be listing possible motives for ones two-timing behavior, along with realistic solutions for each reason:

(remember each solution is not limited to named reason from cheating.)

1) YOU HAVE LOST INTEREST IN YOUR PARTNER -or- YOU DO IT FOR THE ADRENALINE RUSH/THRILL

If this is the case well then you have multiple options

a. Do not be afraid to “switch gears” or “flick the bean” in simpler terms...MASTURBATE! I know I know, this may seem a bit uncomfortable or even childish to some, however, spanking the monkey is an additional form of sexual stimulation and can keep you entertained. Doing this might prove to not only relieve stress but can be relieving and actually lessen your sexual desires while you're s/o is not around. This is especially the case if you use alternative resources such as, visuals (magazines or online porn) or sex toys. These things could really expand your mind and be enjoyment enough to stop you from stepping out smoke because you're bored. Personally, I do not think that using alternative resources is considered cheating, however that is a topic for you and your partner. But anyways, masturbation alone can help you self explore, and upon discovery you can share your newfound likes and/or dislikes with your s/o *wink wink*, which brings us to the next option...

b. GET KINKY! Use imagination, equipement, and toys! Get one of those cool closet swings for your s/o or even better...ROLEPLAY. If you have grown bored then maybe seeing your partner in a different light could assist you on your journey to becoming loyal.

c. You can almost always find new ways to LEARN MORE ABOUT EACH OTHER and RE-DISCOVER one another ! Thing is that I do not just mean sexually but mentally, spiritually, intellectually! Maybe you are not bored with the sex alone, or at all, but you crave the thrill of getting to know them all over again. Quiet possibly, the beginning stages of your relationship may have been the most exhilarating thus leading you to grow bored when you feel as if there is nothing else to discover about your s/o. If this is the case, I highly recommend listening to the song Escape (the pina colada song).

d. TAKE ON A EXCITING EXPERIENCES WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR S/O. Find something other than another person that excites you! Some cliche (still very fun) examples would be to go sky diving or bungee jumping but even attending concerts, festivals and doing things like getting a massage or horse back riding can be easy ways to get a thrill or escape. Once you find something that gets your blood flowing and your energy rising, then continue to do things like that anytime you feel uneasy about the lack of excitement in your life.

2) YOU ARE CHEATING OUT OF SPITE!

a. COMMUNICATE! I can not stress this enough, communication is key!!! Talk it out as mature individuals should. Explain feelings and thoughts to each other instead of emotionally, impulsively and/or irrationally reacting.

b. THERAPY. Now, I get it therapy is not always the easiest subject to bring up, you might even be shook if someone recommended you and your s/o attend a session. However, therapy comes in all forms!(: Maybe if paying to go to a certified “advice giver” is not your speed, you can talk to a mutually trusted friend about your partner, with your partner. This way you will not only get more realistic advice from like-minded individuals who already know/understand you but you will be able to feel more comfortable with venting and basically talking shit about each other. Of course there will be people who prefer NOT to have their friends all in the business, so for y'all...i suggest formal therapy. But everyone has their preference and like I said, these are all merely suggestions.

c. BREAK TF UP! YOU ARE CLEARLY TOO IMMATURE TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP! Seriously dudes, if you are out here slanging that thang just ‘cause you are angry or holding onto so bottled up shit then be leave! If you both clash and tend to react in a hurtful manner, then maybe they are not the one for you! #Sorrynotsorry. Personally, I do not think you should be in a committed relationship if you cheating is a result of a temper tantrum >:( I mean this one is pretty black and white people.

3) STRAIGHT UP, MONOGAMY IS NOT FOR YOU

Maybe monogamy is not realistic for you! To be honest, this typically not a problem, however, when you bring another’s feelings into the mix this is a huge dilemma. SO DONT BE SHADY.

a. REQUEST TO BE IN AN OPEN RELATIONSHIP It is quiet possible that the feelings you have for your s/o are rare and seemingly irreplaceable and you just have polyamourus tendencies. If this is the case then make it known from the beginning, be honest and once again communicate! Find a partner who fits well with this lifestyle rather than hurting someone simply because you are too selfish to let them know the deal and you fear that they will leave you.

b. STAY F’ING SINGLE! STAY SINGLE! Stay single! 2017 needs their Casanova, male or female SO GIVE IT TO THEM! Especially with STD/STI precautions and treatments readily available. DO YOU! Just avoid hurting anyone in the process.

Can you do a scenario where Furuta, Uta, and Tsukiyama break free from CCG after being turned in by their human S.O and confront them…only to find out their S.O. is pregnant with their kid, so CCG used that to force the S.O. to turn them in? Thank you and your writing is awesome

Furuta:

Furuta smiled sweetly through the transparent screen. The screen that kept him from laying a single finger on his former coworkers and most importantly, you. ___, the love of his life… the one who exposed him for being a ghoul and thus earning him this prison cell. Furuta felt his heart throb unpleasantly. Why did you do this? He desperately searched for a reason. Furuta, strategic mastermind of the CCG, just couldn’t fathom why. So Furuta resorted to pacing. For hours he paced back and forth, his thoughts raging and when mania came at him like the waves of an apocalyptic tsunami, he obliged. He could only laugh and screech in his self-pitying pain and bang relentlessly on the walls that seemed to taunt him. Betrayed by a human, a human girl of all people?

He halted. The sound of steady clicking and taps of footsteps was coming. Lots of footsteps and voices, many voices. Some he recognized like Special Class investigator Koutaro Amon and Ui Koori, the new head of the CCG. He scoffed bitterly to himself at the name. He absolutely hated being replaced by such a brainless dipstick like Ui Koori. Before his thoughts could trail on longer, the cell began to fill with gas and his world began to tilt. The last thing he saw before everything went blank was Koori’s disgusting face, his eyes shining with unmistakable satisfaction.

Furuta woke to glaring lights and squinted his eyes. He tried to sit up until he noticed his body was tied down to an operating seat. Plush leather padding gritted against his body as he tried to writhe out. His body wouldn’t budge even with all of his ghoul strength. It was demeaning, them treating him as if he were a dog.

“U-untie me, Koori. You’ll regret doing this to me, I swear it. You’ll regret whatever you have planned. I’ll wipe that ditzy look right off your face you smug son of a bitch, just wait until I get my hands on you -”

Furuta’s threats were cut off when a needle drained a thick liquid into his veins. The effect was immediate and strong. He screamed in agony, the substance felt like liquid fire, writhing hopelessly in his restraints.

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!”

Koori chortled. “Amazing. You’re body reacts faster than every ghoul I’ve injected with this version of RC suppressant. You know, it still sounds weird to say that, you being a ghoul and all. It was quite a shock to know the man everyone revered was secretly a monster. And to think that your own girlfriend was the one to rat you out? How tragic.”

Koori took Furuta by the jaw, turning his face to up to his as he drew out these last few words. It took all of his strength, but Furuta gave Koori a pleasant smile. Koori’s lips formed a thick frown. Furuta took this opportunity to hack a nice wad of spit right onto Koori’s new designer suit.

“Eat shit,” Furuta spat at the investigator contentedly.

“You little-” Koori’s fist connected with Furuta’s nose and blood splattered out. The former leader groaned as the blood began pooling on the tile ground. His vision blurred with pain. Koori didn’t calm down and for hours he and the two other investigators cut, beat, and broke Furuta until he was nothing but a bloody mess. They spat at him and jeered at him, threatening to break him like this every day. After all, it’s what a monster like him deserves.

Furuta lost track of the time at some point, but no longer cared. Eventually, he slipped into hysteria from blood loss, screeching absurdities at Koori. Furuta knew how to say all the right things to piss him off. Koori was at his limit. Furuta should be contorting with pain at his heels, but no he had to be a mouthy bastard.

“Are you getting bored of this so quickly? You want more fun already, huh? Don’t worry your pretty little head because I got plenty of time now that I’m the CCG leader~” The investigator sneered at him and his tone sent hot anger and apprehension shivering down Furuta’s sweaty back. Despite it, Furuta kept up the charade.

Furuta’s holding cell was compact and modest, it had no windows, only the heavy door that donned an array of complex locks offered any real personality to the room. Pearly white cabinets were pushed against the old walls, full of medicines, bandages, but also the tools for more brutal entertainment. Only the mechanical hum of an air conditioner could be heard in the room aside from hoarse and labored breathing. But there was another sound, faint yet it reached their ears; people were shouting with panic in their voices. Neither men could help but wonder what the hell was going on out there.

Abruptly, Furuta’s attention was snapped back to investigator bowl cut when the small man forcefully jerked his foot into a satisfying position. In one hand he held a pair of pliers. Koori imitated Furuta’s ‘refreshing smile’ with unnerving authenticity. “Sit tight while I give you nails a nice trim.”

But as Koori settled the pliers around the ghoul’s toenail, a blast blew of the metal door to the room. It exploded, flying full speed into the wall on the opposite end. The wall caved in where it was impacted, chunks of drywall and concrete raining to the ground. The sound made all four people’s ears pop and ring. Furuta teetered on the edge of consciousness as the two masked men’s feet gave out on them. Their mouths hung open in a gape when a hunk of concrete pelted Koori cleanly on the head. At the moment of impact, Koori dropped to knees, then finally to his face. Smoke drifted from the entrance, obscuring any chance of identifying what or who caused the blast.

And that’s when he heard your voice. Furuta couldn’t help but feel a knot of anger writhe in his chest. You did this to me, you turned me in, ratted me out, told the whole damn CCG, hell the whole world and now I lost my job and my life. Everything is over for me the game is over and what point is there left to my life if the only person I care about betrayed me so openly?

But all of these thoughts melted away like spring snow when he saw you run towards him crying his name over and over. There was no trace of malevolence in your face, only love, regret, and shame. Furuta called out your name. You rushed to him and hurriedly untied his restraints, kissing him all over in the process.

Furuta tentatively hugged you back as he staggered up, but when he looked over his shoulder it made his heart drop. Koori stood there, blood trailing from his forehead, a gun fixed on your head. You still stood sobbing and had no idea that your life was less than seconds from ending. Furuta reacted fast, his blood pumping with adrenaline, but it was not nearly fast enough. The suppressants sapped his strength away.

Koori’s pistol cocked.

The trigger was being pulled.

Furuta was using the last of his power to try and push you away. It was to no avail, since the bullet was leaving the chamber and flying directly towards your skull. By this point, you saw it in his eyes that something was going wrong and you were turning your head in alarmed confusion.

But then it stopped.

The gun already went off yet you stood there, safe and sound. But then he saw the massive kagune hanging over the two of you in a protective umbrella. It was a churning mess of perse tentacles and they continued to hang there, completely blocking off half the room. That’s when Furuta’s gaze found the owner of said kagune and his already wide eyes widened even more.

“One-eyed King,” Furuta addressed the boy with the white hair, trying to sound dignified, but the result was indecorous and weak. “what on earth brings you to a place like this?”

Kaneki looks at him thinly. “Furuta,” he greets.

Kaneki retracts his kagune thus revealing the limp, dead bodies of Koori and his men, probably from being crushed under Kaneki’s insane kagune. Humans truly are weak, Furuta thinks with amusement.

“You know I have to ask Kaneki-kun, what are you doing here?” Furuta smiles and raises his arms, motioning to the room around them.

Kaneki only walks closer and to put a hand on Furuta’s shoulder. He was giving him the look of a parent who as to deal with a troublesome child. “I have business with you,” the boy then looks at you with sympathy. “involving her.”

The dam in Furuta’s head broke and he was flooded with questions. What is he implying? Was the reason ___ turned me in because she decided to hook up with the centipede boy here? Is that what he’s about to tell me? Furuta swivels his head to you, then back to Kaneki. “What exactly are you trying to tell me, hm?”

“That this is all a big misunderstanding now hear me out,” Kaneki’s hand leaves his shoulder and he instead favors them in a gesture which seemed to mean 'please calm tf down.’

“What do you mean 'hear me out?’” Furuta hissed at him in exasperation. He locked his gaze on you and you drew back a little. “I’m the one who’s been hurt by you, I have every right to be pissed. Everything was going so well between us. And now you want to explain?”

Tears began to form in the your eyes and you looked away from Furuta in utter shame. You sobbed, “You’re right Furuta. You’re right. You have every reason to hate me,” now your tears were waterfalls, your nose dripping and you quaked with sadness. “Just look at what I did to you! You’re covered with horrible wounds and you can barely stand for God’s sake!”

Kaneki went to comfort you and he wrapped a reassuring arm around your body, but Furuta only stood rigid with crossed arms. Kaneki glared at him, obvious anger swimmed in his eyes. Seeing this man act so cold to you when you tried so hard to protect him.

“FUURUUTAAAA…” The boy was absolutely choleric and sprung at Furuta. He snatched Furuta by his tattered excuse of a shirt, pulling him right up to his face. The older man squealed in surprise, he could practically feel the boy’s hot breaths on his cheek. “IT WASN’T HER FAULT, DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ALREADY? THE DOVES WERE GOING TO KILL THE BABY IF ___ DIDN’T DO IT!” Kaneki shook him violently, but Furuta couldn’t feel it, he was stunned.“ SHE HAD NO CHOICE AND CAME TO ME WITH TEARS IN HER EYES BEGGING ME TO SAVE YOU, WHY CAN’T YOU SEE THAT?!”

You screamed for Kaneki to let go because he gets it, he gets it already. In truth, no, Furuta didn’t get it and he fell limply to the ground. Everything felt wobbly and fake. What did he mean by that..? This whole time she didn’t purposefully betray him? And what was this about a baby again?

“B-baby..?” Furuta stuttered. “You.. and me… a child..?!”

“Yes, Furuta. I’m pregnant with your child,” You kneeled by his side and were happy to see he was finally coming to his senses. You put his hand on your so that he could feel the life growing there. Furuta fell forward into your arms and buried his bruised, bleeding face in your shoulders to cry softly. You rubbed his back lovingly in slow circles. For a few moments Kaneki allowed himself to smile at the scene, but then frowned crossed his face.

“Furuta, I’m sure you know that you can’t go back to the CCG now. There is no place for you there,” Kaneki stated.

Furuta only looked at him with sad knowing and you merely nodded morosely. There was a prolonged silence as this sunk in. Then Kaneki continued,

“That is why I want to ask you Kichimura Washuu, former CCG chairman, and you ___ ___ to come with me.”

June 14 Blurr’s Horror Stream - The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Look who’s not dead! It’s me!

Drift showed up as Blurr was welcoming Bevel to the team. He never found out that Bevel isn’t a “he,” but he DID find out that Bevel can shift to look like anyone she wants, including him. It impressed the hell out of him.

He told Blurr that there’s a high chance the Lost Light isn’t gonna be taking off again, and Blurr said he’d be happy to welcome Drift and Whirl onto his crew, if they want to come.

Drift: *gestures at the movie* So, how come they targeted her? Usually in these things, ghosts and demons target a human for a specific reason, right? boomtank: That's cool. B l u r r: Not always. B l u r r: Sometimes they just see someone weak and want what they have. boomtank: ...that was...not...oh wow... Drift: But there's almost always, like—something that lets them in. The victim accidentally does a ritual or moves into a haunted house or her relatives sold her to a demon or something. Whirl: Wait, which movie did I miss where someone's relatives sold them to a demon? Drift: The one with the invisible demons on the cameras? Drift: They promised their first male descendant to a demon. Whirl: *squints* Whirl: Ohh, yes, I think I remember now. Drift: So everyone in the family got haunted until they got a baby. Bevel: Why did they promised their baby? B l u r r: for success. Drift: Magic power, I think. Whirl: I'd promise some dark entity my firstborn for power. B l u r r: Let's be honest... if I was offered magic powers, I think I'd give up something. Whirl: Because I don't propagate, see. Drift: I think the dark entity wouldn't make a bargain with someone that obviously couldn't keep up their end of it. Whirl: Well, what, it can see the future? That one had some bad luck with those generations of not-boys. Whirl: I'll bet they can be tricked. B l u r r: We should try it. B l u r r: I know some pretty interesting places. ItsyBitsySpyers: *Rumble nudges Whirl* B l u r r: What do you say, Whirl? Drift: Entities that are making bargains with Cybertronians probably know Cybertronians don't make offspring. Drift: ... Unless it's an entity from a different universe where they do. Whirl: *sigh* I would... but I'm already pretty tight with Heqet, I can't go around making pacts with dark, evil entities and all that. boomtank: ...what if the entity asked for you to carry the child? Bevel: Universes are weird. ItsyBitsySpyers: @Whirl: Careful whatcha say. Bevel's creators thought they couldn't propagate neither, heh. Drift: So you'd have to cross universes to get a bargain. B l u r r: Well, then come with me! I can make one. Whirl: *looks to Rumble* Yeah? B l u r r: I mean, what's the worst that can happen? Drift: An entity powerful enough to give you dark powers is probably also powerful enough to punish you when it finds out you can't keep the bargain, though. ItsyBitsySpyers: *Little nod.* Whirl: *blinks and nods* @W: Well, nobody in my universe, period, can propagate. It's a certainty here. Whirl: ...@R Whirl: ((whirl telling himself)) B l u r r: / looks at Drift / I don't know. I think I could pay it back. Whirl: Also, I can go, right now, to a universe where Cybertronians can make offspring. One of my pals recently did it. Would take me five seconds. AND if the entity gets mad... fight it with your powers. Drift: What these people need, obviously, is better doors. Demon-proofed doors. They just walk straight in. B l u r r: My debts are all paid off, actually. Whirl: At least you get a cool supernatural battle out of it. B l u r r: Kyeheheh. Right? ItsyBitsySpyers: @Whirl: //Yeah, well. Supposed to be certain here too. All I'm sayin'. Jus' don't go near no Matrix.// Drift: *looks at Blurr* If the demon asked you for your first born you could pay it back? ...
