Note: This request is another fave and I love it so much. My heart yearns for sweet Soldier Boy. Also to add--some do not understand the idea of fan fiction and how you can ultimately change a bit of the character's personality to your liking. That is the entire idea of fan fiction. Yes I know Soldier Boy is as a whole-a butt, and is overall written as a terrible person. However, I like to think that in the presence of women- from what I have seen from small parts of the show, he had some potential to be super sweet to women.

Also...I can do what I want.

"Ah, I'm sorry pretty lady, but you need about five more wins if you're wanting the 62" teddy." The service worker at the ring toss stand politely told you, as you deflated, a bit disappointed.

You stepped to the side not wanting to get in the way of others, but you were seriously eyeing that teddy for yourself.

You had come to the fairgrounds alone since your date had stood you up for the third time this week.

You didn't care though. You only knew the guy a few months.

Besides, you were at the fair, having fun. Riding rides, eating the amazing food from some of the vendors, and playing the games with such confidence that probably by the end of the night you will win that huge teddy.

"Wanna try again? " The service work from the ring toss said.

You thought about it for a second before nodding and putting away the container of food you had gotten earlier. Stepping up to the plate, you readied yourself for yet another round of ring toss.

Soldier Boy huffed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"We are so sorry that this happened. We had no idea that Homelander would be here. He didn't even book a venue-" The super soldier held up a hand to his PR committee.

"Shut up-just shut the fuck up. Christ on a cross, I need a fucking minute." With that, he stumbled out of the tent and out towards the rest of the fair.

It was supposed to be his publicity "Welcome Back" stunt, but the caped dickhole had to come and ruin it. Soldier Boy grumbled as he walked around, trying his best to collect his thoughts before he did something stupid. Rounding a corner, he stumbled into the rows of games.

"Ah, you almost got it honey! I'll let you try one more time for free okay?" Soldier boy heard loud and clear.

Then his eyes landed on you.

You were leaning forward trying to throw the rings on the bottles in front of you. You would get a couple and lose on the last throw. It was always the last throw with those things.

"Sorry sweetheart. You played a good game! Maybe next time you'll win the big guy. I mean, you could get it in a different way- if you know what I mean" You smiled sweetly in return until he had said that last part and you immediately frowned.

Soldier Boy didn't know what he was doing, but before he know it he had walked right up to the stand and wrapped his arm around you instinctively.

"Howdy there darlin'. Been looking everywhere for you. Which one are you trying to get?" They way you stared at him made him feel a different type of way. The service worker stumbled over his words while Soldier Boy placed a twenty dollar bill onto the counter.

"I got you, Princess." he says as you continued to rack your brain around what had occurred.

"Uh, good game...sir." Soldier Boy plucked the giant bear off of the hook and held it towards you. You grinned as you hugged it.

"I'm taking both of these--show some goddamn respect to the ladies. Get fucked." Soldier Boy said as he plucked another bear off of another hook to carry and to give to you later.

You had thanked him profusely and stumbled over your words. You told him he did not have to do any of that.

"I wanted to. Saw the way you looked when you tried your hardest to win that stuffed animal."

"It was pathetic." You finished his statement with a laugh.

He chuckled along with you.

"Not exactly. Thought it was mighty cute if I'm being honest." He reached over to pat your head.

"Hey! Soldier Boy! We need you for photo-op! Where the hell have you been?" The two of you looked at each other, before Soldier shook his head.

"I have to get going. Mind taking my place with the other big guy?" He asked holding out the similarly fashioned teddy bear.

You nodded quickly as you reached out to grab the bear from his hands.

"What was your name again?" He questioned, not yet letting go of the bear in his hand.

"Oh, I never told you my name, It's Y/N. Y/N L/N. You?" A spark in eyes appears as he lets go.

"The hero name is Soldier Boy, you probably already knew that. But you can call me Ben, Princess." Smiling a goofy smile you shake your head and wave your goodbyes. Turning, you could hear him call after you.

"Meet me at the concession stands near the Funhouse later! Wanna' win some more things for ya'." You gave him a thumbs up, as you finally decided that maybe, just maybe, getting stood up was not such a bad thing to happen as you had thought.

Santana: Mutuals. It was basically confirmed in canon that this girl had a tumblr with her comment about her having a favorite ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ blog.. if that doesn’t scream a tumblr lesbian idk what does lol!! Her entire blog would mainly be devoted to sapphic ships that she would sob about in the tags (think overuse of emojis and keyboard smashes)! She would have a pretty decent following and get quite a few asks where she would give headcanons and meta on her favorite ships. She also wouldn’t tell a soul that she’s on there but Brittany would find out and lovingly tease her about it.

Tina: I follow her but she doesn’t follow me. She would be on tumblr constantly! She would have one of those super popular multifandom blogs that makes the most crisp gifs and has hundreds of requests waiting in her inbox. At first you’d be a bit intimidated by her until you realize she is the sweetest and is always super nice about giving tips and resources for gif making!

Sam: I don’t follow him but he follows me. His tumblr would consist of almost 100% memes with no organization/tagging system. Instead of tags, he would leave comments under posts like “woah this is sick dude 🤩” or “nice!!! 👍” which would in turn make a good amount of people block him because they would think he’s some bot or sarcastic troll when in reality they are always genuine comments. He would be the king of spam reblogging to the point that if you did follow him he would overwhelm your dash. Though, every once and awhile there would be a very detailed & coherent post by him about ‘True Jackson, VP’ with links to a petition to get it renewed/rebooted.

Blaine: Mutuals. You just know he would make the best tumblr mutual! He would definitely be that one mutual that you can always count on to like and reblog your content and he would leave the most thoughtful tags. His blog would be a variety of all his interests (he originally tried to have separate side blogs but it was too much for him to keep up with!) but it’s extremely well organized and mainly runs on a queue.

Kurt: I follow him but he doesn’t follow me. His tumblr would be very curated and definitely fit a certain aesthetic. I picture it mostly consisting of reblogs of fashion, films, art, food, etc. But multiple times a week he would post blank text posts with super long rants in the tags with a lot of cussing and the last tag would be #delete later.

Brittany: Mutuals. Everything she posts would be super cheerful & colorful (envision loads of rainbows & cats). She is known for sending asks since she absolutely loves sending her mutuals the most offbeat questions. You can also always rely on her if you’re having a bad day to send you a random quote or fact that will make you smile.

Mike: Mutuals. He would truly have the most chill blog and reblog anything that catches his eye but not in a way where it overloads your dash. He also is someone who follows back almost everyone who follows him and sends a lot of kind asks & leaves nice tags on your original content. He would never get involved in any fandom drama and would only have one filtered tag which is ‘Channing Tatum’.

Puck: Mutuals (mostly for entertainment purposes on my end). He’d be the one to act like he’s never even heard of tumblr but secretly runs his own fic blog mainly for the soap opera he compulsively watches with his mom & sister. He also occasionally enjoys posting snippets of the various screenplays he’s working on. He prides himself on staying anonymous so he uses a pen name and changes the names of everyone he writes about but does an awful job at picking out new names (changes Puck to Huck, Finn to Binn, etc)!

Finn: Neither one of us follows one another. Actually didn’t know what tumblr was until he saw the app on Puck’s phone and noticed him spending a lot of time on it so he got curious. Months later he still has no clue on what the point of tumblr is and has pretty much given up on trying to properly use it. He has a few text posts screaming into the void but they have no engagement. Though he did somehow link his instagram so that still updates.

Mercedes: Mutuals. Her tumblr consists mainly of reblogs for her favorite celebrities, tv shows, & movies. She also has gotten into the habit of live blogging for a few of her top shows and her commentary is so good that you wouldn’t dare to unfollow her or filter her tags for it, even for the shows you didn’t have any interest in previously. She’s the mutual that has such great taste that you find her continuing to influence what media you want to consume next!

Quinn: Mutuals. Her blog is a mix of literature, art, philosophy etc which does make it have an overall pretty “classy” feel but the vast majority of it is also just very, very, very, gay.. to the point where half of what she reblogs is of women kissing/being affectionate with one another. She also eventually dabbles in writing some femslash & it’s very good stuff…

Artie: Neither one of us follows one another. Has a decent following due to his film reviews (he also blocks anyone who disagrees with any of his opinions). He’s also heavily involved in various popular fandoms like Star Wars and Marvel which leads to him getting into some very intense discourse which results in more blocking.

Rachel: Mutuals (on thin ice). Posts super nice aesthetics & moodboards. Though unfortunately, she would be that tumblr mutual who gets into heated debates with anons constantly and is such an easy target because she can’t recognize when people are trolling her so she takes the bait every time. But, fairly often it does get to the point where she actually ends up exhausting the anons with her long written responses.

hey, lovebug !! 💘 omg yeah of course you can ask, and I’ll try my very best to give you the best advice to my knowledge :’) i totally get it, everyone has a bio and facts about themselves posted online and you can gauge what kind of person they are based on their blog and responses to others since it’s all public, but irl, you’re just going in blind 🤧

personally, I’m a huge extrovert so I just put myself out there and introduce myself to anyone whom I think seems interesting to me or whoever’s within my proximity shdjdjdj one of my friends once told me that she didn’t even have time to judge me yet because I just walked straight up to her and started talking LOL I met my close friends via random roommate assignments or at parties / clubs, through mutual friends, or just randomly sitting next to them in class or being put in the same group project !! 💕 I know it can be super scary to put yourself out there, but the worst thing that can happen is that you two just don’t mesh well and that’s okay, not everyone can get along - you just move on and introduce yourself to someone new!

I tend to strike up conversations with whoever I sit next to in class, like an easy one would be “hey do you mind if we can swap numbers in case either one of us misses a class and we can borrow notes?” and then ask them what their major is and what classes they’re taking and kinda lead the convo from there !! or if I think a girl has a really cute top or something, I tell her !!! And that usually sparks a convo like she tells me where she got it and all that and we keep that conversation going and bam, new friend 🤩 I paired up with a random girl in my math class for peer correcting our first homework assignment and I started talking to her after class ended and asked her if she was getting lunch too! We ended up getting food together, and that’s how I also got a lunch buddy after my math lecture every MWF for the first quarter and she introduced me to her friends and I introduced her to my friends 💓

I don’t think you can come off too strong! I mean maybe for starters, you can ask someone to get lunch with you one day and just talk to them and see how that goes 💞 if you feel good about the interaction, you can ask if they wanna get lunch again next week !! I personally think weekly lunches wouldn’t be coming off too strong, and once you get comfy and potentially become closer, then you can start inviting them to events or ask if they wanna go to a party with you or something !! With my friends whom I made in class, we first started off by texting each other for homework help and then we studied together and then eventually we hung out outside of studying 🌸

Even though everyone might think dating an idol was pretty bad and hard, you were really happy and enjoyed all the time you could be with your boyfriend and the rest of his members. It was hard to coexist with 10 annoying boys whenever you and Hyunjae went out? Hell yes. Did you still love them all like you were part of their big family? Hell yes x2. You really loved the friendship you shared with all of them and being one of the middle aged ones made you even happier. You got to tease the youngest members and ask the oldest ones to buy you things. You felt like Hannah Montana getting the best of both worlds. The hard part of the relationship came whenever they made a comeback.

You were pretty active on social media and you enjoyed talking with deobis and whenever you could you answered all their messages. But when they made a comeback your social media DMs became a massive spam of different websites for voting them. Of course you voted and felt happy when you saw all the love and support deobis gave to your boyfriend and to your best friends but you couldn’t help feeling a bit bad about not doing enough for them. You were supposed to be the one giving them most of the support as the girlfriend of one of them but you hardly ever could make it to go to their concerts and you felt like you were voting too little. Seeing how everyone told you they voted hundred times for them and you only voted about 10 times in a day made you feel pretty bad.

You were getting ready to go out and meet the boys in the studio. They forgot to get some lunch and decided to go out and, of course, Hyunjae asked you if you wanted to join which offer you accepted happily. They also took advantage of the moment to celebrate their upcoming comeback. Once you arrived at their studio, you saw the entire floor filled up with fried chicken boxes. “We ended up deciding to order fried chicken.” Hyunjae said happily for having for lunch his favorite food and kissing your cheek. “It was Eric's idea, you know how obsessed he is with chicken.” Sunwoo said as he entered the studio behind you. “Look who’s talking… Mr. Juice.” Eric answered mocking Sunwoo. You couldn’t help laughing at the youngest members. They really acted like two little kids when they fought. As you ate you all talked about the comeback. They left the expectations really high back then and they had to make an amazing comeback if they wanted to leave fans speechless.

When you all finished eating and you checked your phone you found it was full of notifications on your twitter and instagram. All from deobis voting and sending links to vote for the boys once the MV was released. “What’s all of that? I thought the famous ones were us and not you.” Kevin said laughing. “Your fans always send me the links and how they vote when you guys make a comeback…” You said a bit annoyed. You of course loved to see those support messages but still they made you feel terrible as a girlfriend and as a best friend. A detail that didn’t go unnoticed by Hyunjae.

“What 's wrong?” He said when you were resting all alone in a corner staring at your phone. “There’s nothing wrong.” You said smiling at him trying not to worry him. “(Y/N) come on, I’m your boyfriend, I perfectly recognize that annoyed look you’ve had since we finished lunch. Tell me, what’s wrong?” He said sitting next to you and surrounding you with his arm to pull you closer and placed your head on his shoulder. “Is just I feel a bit bad about not voting enough.” You said a bit sad. Everyone heard you and they stared at you confused and went to sit around you. “What are you talking about?” Younghoon asked you confused. “Yeah, what do you mean with ‘voting enough’?” Juyeon asked confused as well. “Whenever you guys do a comeback I see how thousand fans send me messages telling me they voted for you hundred times so you could win and I vote only 10 times. I feel like I should be the one giving you all that support but it turned out to be I’m the one supporting you the least.” You said sad resting your head on Hyunjae’s shoulder. After hearing those words coming from you Hyunjae also felt bad. Not because of you feeling that way but for not being able to make you feel proud of them and of him. He wasn’t able to show you how grateful he was to you for supporting him as much as you did and he thought that was the reason why you were feeling that way. 

“Why do you think that? Babe don’t you see you’re the most important one for us? You are the one that brings us food when we forget it, you’re the one preparing us soup when we’re sick, you’re the one cheering us up during dance practices. Have you forgotten who was the one making me go up in that thing during Reveal performance in Road to Kingdom? It was you. You’re the one supporting us and being in the front row for all of us when we need someone cheering. And most important, you’re my girlfriend and I feel every single day how proud of me you are whenever I arrive home and I see your good night message saying I did a great job. Even if you vote for us 1, 2 or 10 times you are still the one supporting us the most because you are here with us and there are no deobi in this world that can support us the way you do.” He said making you feel much better and making your heart melt. Hyunjae never opened his heart the way he just did and especially in front of his members. You couldn’t help smiling at him and getting all emotional at his sweet words. 

It was true that you might not vote for them as much as their fans but you were the one seeing them everyday and cheering them in the group chat every night when you knew they finished their work. You were the one seeing how hard they worked and you were the one feeling proud of them growing as idols and as people. You were surrounded by amazing boys with big hearts and you couldn’t feel more happy and grateful for having them by your side. And most importantly, having Hyunjae by your side. He always cared about you since the day you met in the cafeteria you worked and you served him an Iced Americano and he showed you his ‘hidden talent’ of spinning a book. Having him by your side was like having a cheerleader 24/7.

“Never ever think again you’re less than our fans. You’ll always be my favorite fan” Hyunjae said cupping your cheeks and kissing you softly not minding his members to watch. You felt your cheeks burning because of the rest of the boys comments about the kiss but you still lowkey liked their teasing during the rest of the day. It made you feel beloved and like you were Home even though you were in a dance studio.
