Summary:

Today was Kieran's birthday, but it was the last thing that mattered to him. In fact, he vowed it would never matter to him again. Instead, he would focus on things that would keep him strong: his battling, his strategizing, and his crown as the Blueberry Champion. His sister and the Elite Four won't stop asking him random questions, though, and if anyone brings up Juliana any more than they already have since she arrived as an exchange student, he's seriously going to lose it. But...why can't he stop thinking about her? And why is everyone acting so suspicious?!

Take this as a thank you to all of those who have followed my work and/or my Tumblr blog. I wouldn't have imagined having the support of this wonderful community on my last birthday, and I can't even begin to describe how encouraged and inspired I have felt to write since finding you guys. BUT OKOK . them yearning for a reader with intimacy issues …. oh you know me so well. they both approach the situation very differently, and they’re both very keen on making you feel comfortable above all else :((((( although. well… i think nobara might be a bit more overwhelming to deal with….. i see her as being a lot more direct than gojo, so she’s very likely to just. waltz up to you and ask you what’s wrong 😭😭 and she’s so sincere that you can’t help but answer!! she just wants to make sure she didn’t do anything to upset you…. but of course she didn’t. you’re just. scared. of her feelings. and your feelings. and what it could all lead to… she might not completely understand (i feel like she’s the type who’s all in with her feelings for you once she gets past a stage of denial LMAO), but she’s determined to be there for you!!!!

as for gojo…. he observes you. silently. notes down all your habits and tells. he understands your predicament without you telling him, and allows you to take things at your own pace. he’s not gonna chase you down like nobara; he waits for you to come to him, and if you really aren’t showing any signs of doing so then he makes sure the confrontation feels more like a friendly chat. he tiptoes around the subject until you tell him yourself (with a bit of poking and prodding..) and then he’s just . :) <- kind smile . he understands. he really does. he’s absolutely terrified of intimacy too. he won’t tell you that, but he tells you that there isn’t any rush, and that he doesn’t mind waiting until you’re ready. and he really means it!!!

now…. when it comes to Actually being in a relationship with them…. they’re very similar 😭 they both ease you into the relationship, and both treat you with so much care!!! especially when it comes to showing affection and other things that might feel foreign to you at first. nobara casually links her arm with yours, gojo sneakily intertwines your fingers. and they both ask if you’re okay with it because they prioritize your comfort above all else….. 🥺🥺 though i Also feel like they’re both the type to push you out of your comfort zone a bit. just a little . nobara can’t really help herself sometimes (you give her cuteness aggression and she Needs to kiss you right now or else she’ll die), and gojo is a teacher at heart LMAO. he guides you into everything!! it’s a little infuriating because he’s so good at reassuring you? and it’s like . where did this come from. you were just whining for a bite of my crêpe. 🤨

in conclusion; they both treat you very, very well <3 honestly i feel like these two are the best candidates for a touch starved reader. because they’re both casual with skinship but observant enough to Know what your boundaries are!!! and with their bouts of clinginess it won’t take long for you to get used to their touch lmao .

Please infodump about the JayTimSteph Grotesquerie AU WIP if possible.

OF COURSE i've been thinking about it since i saw the trailer and now it's a little brainworm. (disclaimer i've not watched the first two episodes yet, this is like. solely on the vibes of the trailer. some details might change once i. watch the show depending on if i follow it or just go with the vibes the trailer gave me. which also means there will be no spoilers for the show if you care about that.)

the current idea involves Detective!Tim, Nun!Steph, and Priest!Jason. the vague idea for the plot so far is that a serial killer leaves a *very* artful display of a crime scene inside of the church that Jason and Steph operate out of. Tim is assigned as the leading detective on the case and ends up in a relationship with the both of them as he spirals in madness trying to catch the killer.

for Steph, i want to explore the idea of her father, Cluemaster, being a *very* prolific and artful serial killer who's whole gimmick was sending clues to the police until he was caught when Steph was still a child, and her and her mother were forced to go into witness protection for their own safety, which led her down the path of becoming a nun. it was a defining childhood moment for her to walk in on one of her father's crimes, so when she's the one who finds the crime scene in the church, it *immediately* sends her back to her childhood and she's caught between PTSD-fueled horror and a sick, enticing fascination. she wanted to become a journalist before going into WITSEC but that career was basically all but ruined for her. now she runs the small newspaper for the church and is desperate to write on the first "real" story she's ever had, dragging her into an intense obsession over the crime and trying to prove she can solve it.

for Jason, i want to deal with his history as Bruce. the current idea is that Bruce is Tim's police chief who adopted Jason and Dick from a young-ish age and raised them to be detectives, taking them to crime scenes as teenagers and teaching them the ins and outs of how criminals think. it leads to Dick becoming a detective, but when taking them to crime scenes led to Jason being kidnapped and brutally tortured by "Jack Napier", almost dying. Dick kills Napier to save Jason and it fractures their little family so badly that Dick switches departments to another city and Jason runs away at 17, eventually happening upon joining the clergy. he's the new, young priest in the church who's known for being very pretty but very emotionally distant even if he's nice enough. and he's *pissed* that Bruce is in his church investigating a murder and that no matter where Jason goes, he can't seem to get away from the horrors.

and for Tim, he's the young new detective in his department who is *entirely* unaware that he's been taken under Bruce's wing bc Bruce is treating him as a surrogate replacement for Dick and Jason. haven't fully decided his backstory yet, but it'll likely be similar to canon with losing his mother and father. i kind of want him to be lost and lacking a sense of direction. very gifted in noticing patterns and detective work, but it's clear he doesn't *really* want this job. and when he's assigned as the lead on a case that feels *way* too big for his experience bc Bruce is showing clear favoritism, he's forced to go to Steph for help, which leads to Jason ending up wrapped up with them too.

despite how heavy the plot *sounds*, i honestly want this fic to be like. 40% porn. like the show i want to explore a lot of fucked up sexual interests in Jason who's punishing himself for it, Steph being too interested in things for her own good and desperate for a taste of what "real life" feels like, and Tim just being incredibly repressed. like i want the line between horror and erotic to feel like a jumprope. lots of fucked up sex balanced with like. them actually trying to catch the killer. and then of course the emotional aspect of how Jason's baggage with Bruce works into all of it. also want Tim to have a mild hero worship for "the great Detective Dick Grayson" while being clueless that he's Bruce's son and Jason's brother. i sort of want it to be Steph-centric, but still have POVs from Tim and Jason just to round out their emotional arcs. i haven't fully decided everyone else who'll be in the fic but i know i want Cass to be a fellow nun and friend of Steph's, Babs to also work at the church, Helena to be Tim's favorite coworker, and possibly for Damian to be around somehow. those roles will probably get more fleshed out when i. watch the damn show tho.

anyway TLDR: religious imagery, body horror, kinky sex, and a mystery that might break everyone psychologically once they get to the bottom of it. i have some very specific scenes and dialogue planned out. probably cannibalism as a metaphor for love thrown in there too. idk i just want these three to be as fucked up as possible and unhinged about each other but fighting their repressed side with their unhinged feral side. and since it doesn't exist by god I'll create it.

OVERALL my favourite ever ship. tbh at this point in my life its probably Soriku. theyre EVERYTHING to me.

I like other Kingdom Hearts ships passively (namixi, Kailette, Roxner, Axel/Saix but idk whats going on w them just yet, even Sorikai to some degree?) but none of them scratch the same itch that Soriku does for me

TO BE HONEST a lot of my All Time Favourite Ships (TM) are queerbaiting. and I think that Soriku is actively healing that wound AKJNDKASDNKJASND

The closest to Soriku is Wrightworth aka Narumitsu from Ace Attorney. they are actually so soriku coded but like if they were 25 instead of 15 and also if magical key fighting was (checks notes) law

Oh!!! I actually really like Lucius with both Black Pete and Izzy in Our Flag Means Death. Im so serious when I say that when (spoilers lol) Izzy died in the season 2 finale among my first thoughts was "Lucius is never gonna fuck that old man :(" but Lucius + Pete are very very sweet and i love them.

A cry from the crow's nest caught Cleo’s attention. She pulled a spyglass from xeir belt, and fixed it on a single ship in the distance, faraway, but undoubtedly making a beeline for Lucifer's Wrath (the ship name was, of course, Cleo's own work). It grew from a speck in the distance to a discernible shape at an alarming rate, white flags billowing. A naval ship.

“Right, listen up!”

Their crew all turned to look at xem. They weren't the sharpest bunch, nor the prettiest. No more than a load of low-lying cut-throat criminals, to put it nicely. But it turned out that all they needed was a good captain to be able to pull off the best - or, technically, worst - heist in history.

“This isn't going to be easy. We are up against the best of the best - far more skilled than any snobby merchant ship we've raided before. But we are going to give it everything we've got. Show no mercy! And if you do… if you're unlucky enough to survive the wrath of the queen's men, I heard Davy Jones is awful fond of cowards. You hear me? I want to see you playing so dirty, your mothers would be ashamed of you. Do as I say, and the path to victory is effortless. Now, who's with me?”

There was a defening cheer of approval and agreement. Cleo was a very good motivational speaker.

The naval ship drew nearer and nearer. Canons started being fired, and from there it just descended into total chaos. The two vessels drew close enough to one another for Cleo's pirates to be able to spectacularly jump to the enemy deck. Cleo herself leaped from the rigging, screamimg a battle cry. Xe landed faultlessly, and chose her first victim, raising their cutlass above their head, ready to strike- and then xe froze.

“Pearl?!”

“Cleo! Ugh, I should have known!”

Cleo clicked their fingers, and both of their crews froze mid-action. “What the Hell are you doing here?!”

Pearl crossed his arms and glared at her. “Someone's been going around, commandeering every ship that's passed through this sea in months. Some ruthless pirates with some kind of never-before-seen strategy that's unmatched in efficiency. It's destroyed all of the trade routes. The people for miles around the coast are starving, turning on each other - it's chaos! ‘The scourge of the sea’, they're callin’ ‘em.”

Cleo put a hand to xeir chest in an exaggerated gesture that implied she was flattered. “Aw, bless. And you're here to what, thwart me?”

“Yup. You know me, I do love my thwarting.”

An awkward silence settled like a foul smell, before Pearl gave an extremely irritated sigh, pinching the bridge of star’s nose. “Cleo, what are we going to do?”

“Ah. I was hoping you would have some sort of solution.”

“Me?”

“Yes! You're the smart one, aren't you?” There was a pause. “Right, you didn't hear that,”

“Wait, you think I'm smart? Aw! Cleoo, that's so sweeet-”

“Right, back to the matter at hand, please!” Cleo huffed, flustered. “How many miracles have you performed in the past couple months?”

“Um,” star tried to count on her hands, but ran out of fingers, and gave a sheepish grin. “Probably more than I should've.”

Cleo groaned. “Oh, for Satan's sake. Do you.. d’you want to just leave them to fight it out? Escape on a rowboat or something?”

Pearl bit the inside of his cheek. “That wouldn't be very moral… Oh, but I don't want to fight you… Fine. Fine! But you owe me!”

“Well, we can add that to the list, can't we? Come on.” They gestured with xeir hand, and a small rowboat materialised, gently bobbing up and down. “Milady,”

Pearl tried very hard to give her a severing look as the demon kissed his hand graciously, but couldn't stop a fond smile from twitching its way onto her face. “I hate you sometimes, you know that?”

“Aw. Love you too.”

ok no one more annoying thing re: my tags on felix being boring. this is one of the things that REALLY jumps out when im reading brideshead revisited. no spoilers (because there can be none really if you saw saltburn at least as far as im now) but like it's spelled out in the book how the character that felix is heavily reminiscent of is always spoken of as boring. charming, lovely, bubbly, gorgeous beyond belief, he has his adorable quirks, but. but boring. and felix is boring. and oliver wanted to want this boring and stable i think but he can't actually want it. he would bore. i respect cattonquick w all my heart but just from this perspective it's so tragic and unviable to me its so sad actually god i need to stop
