You literally have to understand that ur closest friends and loved ones may very well have kinks or fetishes that gross or freak you out and they simply won’t tell you because they know it grosses or freaks you out. Like you have no way of knowing if your best friend is into necro roleplay if she doesn’t wanna tell you. Sometimes you date someone for years before finding out they have a thing for incest. Maybe your coworker likes ageplay and diapers. Who gives a fuck. Nothing changes between you knowing and not knowing except your own constructed moral outrage.

My parents’ greenhouse converted into a cozy place! Love to sit here on a rainy day and watch/listen to the storm.

You ever notice how boymoding is treated as normal and morally neutral, as it should be?. Its recognized to often bring dysphoria to the transfem who chooses to do so in exchange for safety.
But if a transmasc uses the women's restroom or the women's abuse shelter or misgenders himself its just "AFAB privilege"?

something that really needs to be discussed more under transandrophobia is this very insidious emotional sexual abuse that cis mothers inflict on their trans(masc) sons/children. this gross almost incestuous enmeshment and entitlement that they have to our fucking bodies and how anything we do with our bodies is an attack on them and their body somehow
its such a vile and disgusting form of abuse and its genuinely hard for me to talk about because its something that i went through myself, on top of other abuse

I know we've talked about all the ways, "I hate all men EXCEPT trans men", is generally painting us not reeaallllyyy men which is fucked up, but it's also a nerve wracking position to find yourself in. Yes, I am incredibly hostile to people very much like you, but you're my exception. Who knows what will cause me to take that Exception card away from you, and when. Are you really not the enemy? Are you? Are you? Haha just checking no pressure do as I say.
In some ways, I can really understand wanting men who are safer and more understanding but like, this is scary to be on the other end of. It's controlling and you have power over me. I'm literally transgender.

Transmasculinity Throughout Time: Lou Alcott
Tumblr media
Yes, you heard me. There is substantial evidence that the author of Little Women was in fact a transgender man! He actually didn’t go by the name that Little Women was published under, with family and friends he would go by Lou, Louy, or LM. His children called him “papa” and “father” and his father, Bronson Alcott, called him his son. He said in 1882, “I am more than half persuaded that I am a man’s soul, put by some freak of nature into a woman’s body.” As a child, he said in a journal, “I don’t care much for girls things. People think I’m wild and queer.” He would pass as a man at masked parties for fun, and delighted in people’s reactions. For his entire life, he expressed this identification as a man, and the character of Jo in Little Women was in part a self insert character based on this. So why don’t we hear about him as a trans man? Well, it’s just not convenient for most people to believe that a beloved book about girls becoming women was written by a man.

This is a month and a half old so I don't know if anybody else has shared this article already. Also sharing a couple excerpts but please read the article in full. Especially with things flying around like the Texas Attorney General trying to obtain a list of transgender people and recently not allowing anybody to change their legal gender marker anymore (although, to be clear, Texas requires subpoena for access to this information currently). I don't know, if this informs your choice on what route you want to go with HRT for the better (i.e. choosing DIY over a legal prescription), I'm glad to have posted it.
Here is the map (check alt text for text list):
Tumblr media
Because testosterone is already a scheduled drug, this is more immediately a concern for people taking masculinizing HRT. But there is definitely concern for estrogen facing the same treatment:
(PDMP is prescription drug monitoring program)

Here's the conclusion of the article, which I really hope you click on, but is important enough to attach anyway:
Tumblr media
Obviously the election has passed. With the knowledge that Trump will be imminently president, please consider your options if you plan on starting HRT.

Still thinking about that one tiktok where that lady was like "trans women have to put on tons and tons of makeup everyday to be seen even a little bit as a woman and trans men just put on their "Going out flannel"
as if there isn't "masculinizing makeup" tutorials and trans men beefing up their facial hair rogaine and or makeup, and packers, and STPs and binders, and makeup for covering your scars, and and and it's like please speak trans men and stop making shit up oh my god. trans men/mascs put in so much work.

Ok, I want to preface this by asking you to please not immediately react with denial, anger, or accuse me of neglecting other groups, or just being uneducated.
Look up
'trans people india'
'trans people pakistan'
'trans people bangladesh'
'trans people malaysia'
'trans people turkey'
'trans people afghanistan'
'trans people tajkistan'
Look at interviewers, new reporters, trans life accounts, descriptions of trans communities, trans activists, autobiographies, protests, everything.
And ask yourself.
Where are the trans men?
And do not balk, or accuse me of saying trans men are the most oppressed group in the world,
When I tell you they are enslaved. Or married. Or dead.

If an individual trans man did transition as a trauma response to misogyny, or a trans woman did identify as such because it's tied to her kinks, both of them would still be valid. Every reason for being trans is valid. When transphobes bring out those canards, we act like those are hideous things to be when we should be treating them like reductive stereotypes that are one of ten million different reasons someone might identify the way they do. Neither inherently undermines other trans people.
When you say "how dare you accuse me of being a disgusting faker like that" you're playing by transphobic society's rules. Do not believe that you can convince them your masculinity is truly destiny built into you from birth, or that your femininity is squeaky clean.
