1. what is your favorite color to work with?

pink sometimes, but definitely red!! if u look at literally any drawing i ever make, you can see that i use a ton of reddish tones and 95% of the time i put a red overlay over it. i think it just makes everything look prettier :)

3 what song(s) do you listen to when you do art?

whatever comes on most of the time. often its something really loud and fast or my brain wont shut up and let me focus, but sometimes its lofi hip hop beats to study and relax to ™, and sometimes its absolutely nothing, and sometimes its fun pop like one direction. so uh tldr . anything <3

OH one specific song that i never skip when im drawing is light my love by greta van fleet, that song just makes me enter some kind of trance and i come out of it shaking and sweating but iwth a significantly more finished drawing or sketch than i began it with

i think usually it’s other people’s writing! sometimes that means reading books, or poetry, or even songs. i find that reading work by others that evokes strong emotion or reaction in me makes me want to be better. usually i’ll add something from it to a note with stuff that specifically inspires me, or i’ll write right then and there!

Arguments, stress, pressure, mistakes If there's an upsetting scene, more often than not, Donna is slightly off panel, crying because others can't or won't. Donna cries quite freely in general, even in the heat of battle. Remembering to stay soft and kind in a hard world is hard. Remembering that it doesn't detract from her being a badass fighter and capable tactician. That crying isn't a lesser form of expression - and might the purest and most honest thing to do. The only time I can recall her not doing so was when Genocide nearly beat Diana to death, and Cassie became upset to the point of paralysis or spiraling. Donna had to snap her out of it and remind her of her role as an amazon. Otherwise she's just not about that toxic stiff upper lip stuff.

I think alotta ppl forget that dennis canonically is the best at drawing of the gang nd just focus on charlie being the artist of the gang, nd idk maybe i just wanted to slip that into ur mind

Like i have this funny scenario in my head where charlie challenges dennis to a drawing competition nd dennis draws a near realistic portrait of charlie while charlie vaguely scribbles out dennis but the rest of the gang is just like 'omg charlie i didnt know u cud draw'

I think he’d be kinda shy to admit it, you only catch on after watching him stare at you silently as you bounce mayday in your arms. at first you thought you did something wrong, your first thought being that it triggered his past with Gabriella.

“we can go somewhere else if we’re disturbing you.” you say, completely understanding of the situation.

Miguel stammers for a second, unsure of how to express himself in the right way. “no, it’s …fine.” he mumbles. “stay.”

you wait around a little longer for him to change his mind but he doesn’t. instead turning his back on you and trying to get back to work. multiple reports pop up on his screen and his brown eyes scan over each one. He can see the words, but he’s not really reading them.

Instead he’s distracted by your coos and mayday’s babbles behind him — not that he minds of course. when you’re not looking, he observes the way you interact with mayday, booping her nose and showing her around his office, pointing at his collection of coffee mugs.

he manages to watch the two of you for long enough before a little warm sensation begins to rise in his body; the corners of his lips tilting up a little. and for a minute , just one tiny minute he allows himself to fantasise you and him with a baby of your own. his mind begins to wonder far enough to think of you holding his child in your arms; a creation of both you and him.

it’s so easy to imagine in his mind, almost too easy. he notices how well you take good care of mayday, never tired by her antics. miguel gets so caught up in his head that he doesn’t catch LYLA calling his name at least three times before he notices.

“uhhh miguel new anomaly popped up! needs taking care of ASAP!!”

and that’s what snaps him out of it. you couldn’t, he couldn’t. you both had responsibilities and the multiverse and anomalies and— and—

and why couldn’t he have just one thing?

LYLA begins the run down on the latest anomaly but Miguel’s not listening. instead he’s staring at you again as you rock mayday in your arms.

maybe in another life, he thinks, maybe in another universe there’s a version of him out there where you and him are both happy and free from whatever chaos this was and he could start a family of his own.

he couldn’t be 100% sure that a universe like that existed but if one thing was for sure, this universe definitely wasn’t the one.
