23 July, BOS @ COL, 6-0, win
Fuck yeah, that's more like it! Did I expect that little reset to come with a Criswell start? Nope. But I will take it. I will take it to the bank and cash it like a cheque. Remember cheques? Anyway, we kicked the shit out of a team we should definitely have kicked the shit out of. A perfect palate-cleanser after the parade of shitty rollercoaster extra inning nightmare losses that plagued the post All Star break restart. There were some tense moments - Raffy clutching his shoulder and needing a bit of time before getting back up was enough to have every Red Sox fan and their ancestors clutch their heart and stop breathing. I don't need that sort of stress in my life. Healthy Raffy, please (it was his right shoulder too, and he's already got some left shoulder issues... a Raffy without either shoulder would be a very sad Raffy). Anyway, I really needed that win on a deep personal level because writing about a fifth loss in a row would've sucked. So let's look at the bright sides.
I'm going to start with one of the Red Sox foremost alliterative pitchers, Cooper Criswell, who struggled a bit going into the break. Well, last night he found his early-season shut-out form. He went 7, giving the bullpen a desperately needed break, allowing five hits and one walk with no runs and four strikeouts.
Speaking of finding early season form, Bernadino came on for the eighth and struck out three, giving up a hit. Nice to see him recover after a rough one.
Still speaking of early season form, remember when Tyler O'Neill was blisteringly amazing at the start of the year? Well, he had his second two-dinger game in a week, going 2-for-5 with three RBIs and 2 runs scored. His dingers went a combined 905 feet. That's pretty far. And, yeah, thin air ball carries yada yada yada... it's still cool and a lot farther than I could hit it.
Jarren Duran was 1-for-3 but scored twice because he took a walk. And he didn't strike out.
Jamie Westbrook had an 0-fer but was able to score a run because he took TWO walks. And he didn't strike out.
Raffy gave us a scare regarding his shoulder but after a quiet time at the plate seemed to find his groove again, going 2-for-4, scoring once and knocking in a run.
Masa Yoshida, also going through a bit of a quiet patch, went 2-for-4 and took a walk.
Rob Refsnyder went 2-for-5 with 2 RBIs.
We won! Gosh we needed that. Now let's win a bunch in a row and hopefully the front office will go get some pitching and a couple of righthanded bats!

A few looks I enjoyed from the Met gala. Bad Bunny killed it in that Jacquemus suit. (Anna Wintour and) Bill Nighy in Joe Holcombe. Russell Westbrook in the first of four Bode fits. Harvey being Harvey. The legs on Eddie Redmayne's pants are *perfect*. Loving Taika's tuxedo-coat thing and pearls. Tyler in more Bode. Not sure why I love this Jackson Wang fit, but I do. Aurora James in what, as far as I can tell, is the best Bode fit of the night. And Emily Adams Bode Aujla, herself. #metgalamenswear #metgala2023 #redcarpetstyle #redcarpetmenswear #nycredcarpet

Jonathan Majors is quickly becoming a staple at the box office with two major films from two different franchises both in theaters at this time. Majors will be featured prominently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conqueror, and it doesn't look like the actor has any plans of stopping anytime soon. It looks like Majors has found his next big project and the legendary Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Black Kkklansman) maybe directing. According to Deadline, Majors will star in Da Understudy which is being produced by Will Smith's Westbrook Studios, Amazon and Majors' Tall Street Productions. Lee is eyeing directing the film, which will see him reunite with Majors after previously working with him on Da 5 Bloods. The film is being written by Tony Hanada, Zach Strauss and Tyler Cole. Cole created the story for the project under Westbrook Studios. Deadline describes the film as follows: "Da Understudy tells the story of life imitating art when the understudy of a Broadway production finds a role he's willing to kill for."⚡️🍿🍿🍿👍🏼 #comiccon #spoilermagazine #news #losangeles #podcast #magazine #art #instagram #galaxy #film #tv #hollywood #feature #movies #fandom #graphicdesign #nyc #spoiler #comicconradio #comicbooks #jonathanmajors #spikelee #marvelcomics (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpkwy9ypTew/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

NBA 2K is a video game that is a recreation of the actual NBA
Are you wondering which is the ideal MT 2K23 team as Point Guards? After you've completed your Point Guard build, you'll have to pick the NBA team to get selected for you to start your MyCareer. While you're able to go ahead and choose your preferred franchise If you'd like to, we do have a couple of suggestions for you taking into account rosters currently in use and the best way to add value to them:
LA Lakers: Russel Westbrook is an excellent player however, with a rather low rating, you'll be able to get his place within the first line of play. Think about the fact that you'll play alongside Small Forward Lebron James along with Center Anthony Davis in LA, which is why there's a huge advantage to selecting those Lakers.Miami Heat: At 36-years-old, the Heat's current goalie Kyle Lowry is getting on some, which means you'll likely be able displace him fairly easily.
You'll play with Shot Guard Tyler Herro and Small Forward Jimmy Butler, so will have the potential to assist and attempt to make it to an opportunity to make playoffs.New Orleans Pelicans: With generational talent Zion Williamson in the Power Forward position The Pelicans are a great fit to any young Point Guard: just throw the ball in and rack the assists. It's helpful that current Point Guards on the roster like Jose Alvarado, are pretty unpopular and will be easy to displace.
It's entirely your choice which team you decide to pick, but it's important to take into account the potential players to maximize your potential and earn Badges as fast as you can. As a Point Guard you'll be trying to score and assist as much as possible and so you should keep these things in mind prior to deciding on your franchise. As most basketball enthusiasts are excited about the new season to come however for some it means that they're waiting for the launch of the brand new NBA 2K. NBA 2K.
For those who do not participate in the game, NBA 2K is a video game that is a recreation of the actual NBA. It has a culture all of its own -- with an official NBA 2K League with Magic Gaming having just completed its first appearance in the postseason this season. For those who are real NBA gamers, the most significant part of the game players' ratings. There are numerous players constantly focusing on and arguing in a heated debate with Ronnie 2K (who is not involved in determining the player ratings) regarding their own ratings.
Cheap NBA 2K23 MT was released on Friday, marking the official year of the 2022-23 season. The Orlando Magic are among the teams near the bottom of the rankings once again. However, there's still plenty to be thrilled about.

15 June, NYY @ BOS, 4-8, win
Much like the 'fake it until you make it' concept, I sometimes feel as though the 'be an optimist until you are an optimist' could be a truism. My sign off after a loss that 'we'll get 'em tonight' is often going through motions. Such was the case with yesterday's sign off following Friday's shit-kicking. Not without hope, but perhaps lacking a little conviction that it would actually happen. BUT IT DID FUCKING HAPPEN AND IT WAS AWESOME! Yeah we still made an error but whatever. There were so many bright sides I nearly started writing them down before even mentioning that there were bright sides to be had. But there were. So here they are.
Cooper Criswell started off solidly. Not his best start but certainly not his worst. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits and struck out six, walking two.
Kenley Jansen was awesome. A longtime vet of the Dodgers/Giants rivalry, he asked Cora to call him up if needed in the eighth. AND HE WAS NEEDED IN THE EIGHTH! And he fucking nailed it. Four outs and all ZEROES to get the save. He is a player who I struggled a bit with last year, but I think this year has become that perfect balance of still having youthful fire in his belly but being a real old guard veteran and also just loving the game and wanting to do the best for the team. And for him to be like, 'yeah, Yankees-Red Sox is just a different level' is also pretty awesome.
There was one error but there were also some great grabs fielding-wise. Devers was heads up, Bobby Dalbec made a run-saving throw to the plate on a bases loaded fielders choice hit by Dugie (who did not have the same sort of night last night that he did Friday) that could've been a RBI.
Masa Yoshida, recovering from his thumb injury, looked good at the plate, doubling and then scoring on that double. Would love to see him get hot.
Jarren Duran seems to wear the leadoff spot the same way he wears a stillsuit on Arrakis. He was 2-for-5 and scored twice. One of the runs he scored was on a super heads up read of an overthrow to third and his gleeful fist pump as he charged for home filled me with joy. It was nice to score on unearned run rather than be scored upon with an unearned run. Jarren also knocked in a run.
Rob Refsnyder didn't get a hit but he took a walk and guess what? You already know where I'm going with this, don't you? Yes. Yes, he took a walk and scored because of that. Actually, he took two walks. But he only scored once. But he would've scored zero if he hadn't walked. So there.
Tyler O'Neill went 2-for-5 as well with two runs scored and a RBI. Must be in the Jarren Duran fan club or something.
Raffy hit an awesome 2-run double. It was his only hit, but that's ok. We still love Raffy.
Ceddanne Rafaela was 3-for-4 with a run scored and not a single strike out.
Enmanuel Valdez once again showing warmth went 1-for-1 and that one was a RBI.
Jamie Westbrook knocked in a run.
The Sox took five walks in total against 11 strikeouts. Which isn't bad.
Yankees starter Carlos Rodón was on a 7 game winning streak before last night. Delighted to put a stop to that. Fuck the Yankees.
We won! We won against the fucking Skankees!
If we win tonight, we take the series! That would be cool!
If we win tonight, we'll be two games above .500! That would also be cool!
Did I mention we beat the stupid Yankees? Yes? Good. Fuck those guys.

I can’t believe you’re 27. I’m so proud of you for the impacts that you’ve been making throughout your journey of life. you’re strong, brave, sincere, genuine, unbelievably funny, and just a soul that is so needed in the world we live in today. you have such a strong connection to people and treat each individual you meet with such kindness. you’re a warm person in cold world. I’m so thankful you have the support system you do around you. I’m thankful for your parents, your brother, josh, sarah, emma, stacy, mack, jill, chris, johnny, kyle, steph, kimmy, erin, arden, carmen, edwin, harry, and so on. you radiate love so I’m glad that it’s reciprocated within your life.
I know there’s a lot going on in the world right now, but I hope you can enjoy the love on your birthday in the smallest of places. hope you know that we’re here for you. each year I’ve been supporting you and your career has been a blessing. can’t wait to see what happens next.
thanks for keeping us strong.
