do you have any silly headcanons for mac and dennis in ur fic? like does mac prefer coke or pepsi? small things that maybe aren’t important to the story but little details you think in your head

I try and keep everything as aligned to canon as possible in terms of their likes and dislikes and preferences and what-not, so I'd say most of my headcanons of them in my AU come from actual canon.

Like Dennis preferring expensive Whiskey since he has the money but Mac still preferring beer or at least wanting a mixed drink (and blue Gatorade, his favourite flavour). Mac and Charlie making the Project Badass videos together, Dennis owning his dream car but clearly not regularly driving it, Mac being the most annoying person to share a bed with, etc.. So the small things that don't really matter to the story are always the things I make sure to take or at least pull from canon, so the story still feels extremely rooted in the source material, if that makes sense.

I think if I shared actual headcanons, it would always end up being a bit of a spoiler, since I intend to include almost all of them in fic canon :)

Oh, that's an interesting question! In my vampire!Tim/werewolf!Jason verse and the accompanying fic, Tim drinks almost exclusively off of Jason because a) Jason loves it and b) Tim would near-starve himself otherwise :') (and he kind of does anyway, Jason has to bully him into feeding). So the only blood inside Tim at any given moment is usually Jason's original blood anyway. But can Tim give that blood back in an emergency?

tldr: yes, under certain conditions. lol

My reply was getting long because this kind of speculating is my favorite game to play, so if you're curious about what those conditions are and how I reached that conclusion, more details are under the cut:

In this verse, Jason is the kind of werewolf who doesn't have a lot of control/retained personality when he shifts, but he DOES have a lot of meta powers. (As a treat for becoming a mindless, violent monster lol ur welcome Jay)

One of those powers includes rapid healing ala deadpool/wolverine (unless the wound is inflicted by silver, ancestral or otherwise) so it would be remarkably difficult for Jason to reach the point where he even needs a blood transfusion. But let's consider that worst case scenario, in which Jason has suffered enough silver-inflicted wounds that his healing factor breaks and he needs blood, yesterday. Wuh oh.

Tim is the #1 candidate to consider for a Jason blood transfusion because that's his gamer fuel of choice - but for Tim to be a viable donor, it would depend on the length of time it's been since Tim drank from Jason, and how much. They're on a time limit because Tim's body doesn't replenish blood on its own, he has to steal it.

Brace yourself for the suspect use of rough science facts in the middle of supernatural fantasy speculation about vampire/werewolf AUs, lmao

So supposing Jason has about 12 pints/5.7 L of blood in total, he could lose maybe 5 pints/2.4 L of blood at a time without dying (and that's a high estimate, he'd start going into shock way before that lmao), AND it would take him weeks to restore that blood - if he were human.

Luckily for Tim, he can steal quite a bit from Jason without killing him because of the handy dandy werewolf healing factor that restores Jason's blood almost as fast as Tim's dusty ass can absorb it. (Tim's veins @ Jason's blood: 𝔪𝔬𝔦𝔰𝔱𝔲𝔯𝔦𝔷𝔢 𝔪𝔢). Unluckily for Tim (and Jason), Tim has about a zillion hangups over drinking that much all at once. Aw.

A brief google search tells me that in an average human body, red blood cells live about 120 days. For simplicity, we'll say that Tim being a vampire and having weird vampire powers counteracts Jason being a werewolf and his blood having weird werewolf properties - so when Tim is full (and I mean full) of Jason's blood, he's good for somewhere just under that 120 days.

The blood isn't immediately starving in Tim's stupid vampire body because it's strong, sexy werewolf blood; it stays hydrated for a million years and could thrive like a dandelion in a crack in the sidewalk, let alone a perfectly good, albeit abandoned, vascular system. (Jason's blood @ Tim's veins: 𝒾𝓉'𝓈 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝑒 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁 𝑒𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓉𝑒)

That being said, Tim starts getting very hungry near the end of that time frame as the blood is used/dies, and that time frame shrinks every time he bleeds (which is often, RIP Tim). But he'd still have a solid month or so of healthy, viable Jason blood pumping through his undead ticker. (unless Tim gets REALLY beat up lol, which is not unlikely OTL)

SO all this to say: can Tim give it back?

I would say yes, IF Tim has fed recently, and he's fed A LOT. Otherwise, he just straight up might not have the blood to give anymore because his stupid husk of a body already used it all.

If he tried to give Jason blood around the time he's getting hungry again, when Jason's blood is on it's last legs after sustaining an active vampire without reinforcements for weeks to months, it wouldn't be as effective as a blood transfusion from someone who can make their own blood and therefore has a fresher supply.

tldr (again lol); Tim could become a blood donor for Jason, but only once he's regularly letting himself drink from Jason, and drinking until he's full.

not rude, it's a valid question! tbh it's a combination of a couple reasons.

i started posting anonymous dead dove batcest fics long before i had the balls to make a tumblr. at first i was content to just leave them unassociated with each other because i didn't really care about them being tied to me. i made this blog to actually show solidarity to my partner who wanted to make a sideblog for Sandman comic stuff so we could cheerlead each other and be brave together, since i've wanted to make a batcest sideblog but i've been nervous about actually having to get it going. (mal ik you're reading this go be brave and actually make your blog so i can cheerlead you damnit-) only did it dawn on me then that i should probably mention the fics i've written on the blog after like, three of them were posted anonymously. and it would've annoyed me to have half of them anonymous and half of them not, because notifications for them would've gone in different places. i could go back and take my fics off anon if i wanted to, but i can't switch the account they're on without taking them down entirely and that'd fuck over people who have them bookmarked already.

which, ties into my second reason, if i made an entire second ao3 account it'd be harder for me to see notifications, reply to stuff, and post things for both accounts because i'd have to constantly switch. and honestly i'd be terrified of accidentally posting on the wrong one on a brain fog day. posting fics is always the most tedious part of writing them for me lol. it's easier for me to stay logged into one account and have all of my stuff in one place for me and just use the anonymous collection when i feel like it. if ao3 pseuds worked like tumblr blogs, where you can't see all my side blogs but i can, i would've used pseuds, but since you can see all pseuds on an ao3, i felt it was a moot point.

and the last reason is i just feel more comfortable being anonymous on ao3 because of the rise in anti culture. on tumblr it's very easy for me to just filter that out and find the people i want to follow and block the people i don't. i don't mind getting hate, on tumblr or on ao3. but i think, for whatever reason you want to blame it on, there's been a massive boom of antis on ao3 who are very entitled about how they read on ao3. i tag extensively, but i just feel safer from getting targeted attacks if everything i write on ao3 isn't attached to one profile. if people like a fic i wrote, want to find more i always link my tumblr in the notes, but if an anti wants to get huffy with me, they can't easily track down my other things. they definitely could if they wanted to, but being anonymous on ao3 just makes me feel more secluded, in a weird way. it's like saying "if you want you can come find me but on here i'm just a weird faceless guy throwing stuff in the void". i've used ao3's anon feature a lot, actually, i used to be a hydra trash party dumpster kid back when that was in it's prime.

i also used to be vaguely popular on a different tumblr blog and my main ao3 and while i think it'd definitely be cool if i got a decent chunk of followers on this blog too, i don't really miss having fanfiction do so well i got targetted hate on all of my fics from the same people, i had my fics stolen, etc. it was really exhausting for me. i have 120+ works on ao3, not counting what's anonymous, and that level of exposure tires me, even when i use my main ao3 to post things that aren't trashy. it's just a weird feeling knowing so many people are subscribed to you on ao3 and what if you post something they won't like because you jumped fandoms again, or you're posting something niche, or you don't think it fills enough fandom tropes to be well-liked. i used to obsessively think like that, and it made me not write the things i wanted to because i cared about numbers. and i don't want to slide back into that hole. writing on anonymous is mostly to remind myself i wrote this for me, and if other people like it, they can come find me, but i don't have to perform like that anymore. if i get a really weird fucked up idea, i can write the really weird fucked up idea. at the end of the day, just makes me more comfortable! but i get it's a super confusing set up from an outsider perspective so, i really don't mind the question, thank you for asking!!

#10. What's an au you have for them?

Since them meeting at all is technically an AU i have 3 different ways that they do meet up. There's the one where Juniper ends up with the agency/adjacent to and ends up working with Reggie (have written a fic with this). The next one is Juniper surviving but basically going stealth and living as normal of a life as he can and ending up meeting Reggie through chance (most recent fic I've written). And then there's my personal favourite where Reginald "You're lucky my tracking skills are still up to snuff" Crane keeping himself busy after Phoenix was MIA and finding Juniper still alive (fic I want to write but haven't started mainly because it may end up multi chapter).

In terms of more AU canon bending taking them and putting them in a completely unrelated situation...I have a guilty pleasure Warrior Cats AU for IEYTD in general. Both JJ and Reggie have perfect warrior cats suffixes in their names already (Juniper and Crane) so they're called Junipersong (charcoal bengal) and Craneflight (tabby Norwegian forest cat). It's very silly but the amount of scenes I have in my mind for it...good lord...

OKAY SO

Lestat and Armand hooked up in highschool when Armand was fifteen or so. This was pre-transition and he wasn't out as trans yet so he presented as Lestat's girlfriend and Lestat didn't know either.

They weren't technically a couple except they spent every free moment together, argued in the hallways in front of everybody, and fucked without protection in the backseat of Lestat's banged up car (yes, they've had more than one pregnancy scare).

Lestat got held back a year and had to start seeing the peer tutor (Louis) who was also in his grade. Armand didn't like to be without Lestat and so he tagged along to Lestat's tutoring session and developed a raging hard-on for Louis at the same rate Lestat did (so approximately 30 seconds in).

Luckily, Lestat thought it was hot watching his girlfriend get fucked by another guy, and Armand also thought it was hot watching his boyfriend get fucked by another guy. Louis just thought it was hot.

They graduated, Armand came out and started his transition, and then a few months later he met Daniel the first day of freshman year at university. Daniel is more extraneous with Armand like everyone is touching everyone in that bed, but Armand is the only one that he has a solid romantic relationship with. It's 100% bros-with-benefits with Lestat and Louis.

TL;DR: Armand and Lestat are together, Lestat and Louis are together, Armand and Louis are together, and Daniel and Armand are together. They're young and dumb and full of cum, and still trying to figure it out (especially Lestat, who is full of double standards and can get incredibly possessive), so it isn't quite managed yet but they'll get there!

9: How do you find new fic to read?

I generally just go into the tag of the series I want to read fic for and sort by latest posted, descending! from there I go based on tags + description to see what interests me. I never look at stats, I just go based on what sounds good to me/what im in the mood for that particular day

sometimes if I want something more specific ill go into specific relationship tags, or specific trope tags like hurt/comfort

17: What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?

theres a vague idea in my head for a DS9 AU where Rom is a trans woman and its entirely because of Profit and Lace and how Rom didnt HESITATE to demonstrate how to act "womanly"

in my head this goes hand in hand with my Julian is trans headcanon and they bond over being trans and Julian helps Rom figure things out. it'd really be about exploring this idea of a Ferengi being trans- which I think is a really interesting concept with their society- but also a story about someone older, who is a father and has been twice married, getting to realize these things in a supportive environment and getting to explore gender and transness. Leeta is taking Rom dress shopping and getting her fitted at Garak's. Julian is giving her estrogen. Jadzia and Kira are inviting her to their weekly bitch session night. can you tell I think about this a lot

unironically im so inspired by the gemcyt au like. im about to finish my first multichapter fic? ever? like a fic that was planned from the start to be multichapter and was ended where i planned it to end? which sounds utterly insane because i have been writing fics since 2016 (and mcyt fics since october of 2020) but i really struggle with maintaining inspiration and stuff so this is incredible for me. its only gonna be 6 (probably 7) chapters and its not the longest thing on the planet but its gonna be FINISHED and that is so. impressive for me specifically. and i cant believe that its about a steven universe minecraft au but the universe works in mysterious ways ig HAHAHA
