7. your preferred writing fonts

these days i honestly put way less attention into choosing proper fonts and setups because i find the more effort i put into creating a Writing Environment the less im able to trick my brain into thinking that writing is a fun and spontaneous purging of the content it's inventing against my will and the more it begins to resemble a Task, which im allergic to fundamentally. so default font in whatever software im using. although i do wish more software defaulted to serifs because i like serifs.

wingdings if im in public and i dont want people to see the yaoi on my phone. or if i dont want to see the yaoi on my phone because backreading my own content is making me want to edit it.

erratic, self-indulgent (it's hyphenated it's one word it counts), instinctive

i think my writing is reasonably distinctive if you're paying close attention but since my approach to picking topics is very much "waht do i think would be funny", even though a pattern is identifiable (what did rook think would be funny) there's kind of a weird range of shit in my archive. minecraft. standard fake dating trope content. fic where i clearly just wanted to write about keeping aquariums and decided to make it about divorce. the fic that is a homestukc setting but has nothing to do with homestuck which i still havent finished reading. etc. i also find i do my worst writing when im too deliberate about it or try to put it on rails and so generally my approach is to kind of close my eyes and smash my brain directly onto the keyboard and see what happens, which is why i usually dont outline and also why we get shit like "akechi talks about the iliad for two thousand words".

29. how easy is it for you to come up with titles?

weirdly titles are one of the few things i dont really overthink. sometimes i have one in mind from the beginning but generally i'll pull one out of nowhere on the posting screen. i dont think too much about making it thematically perfect or anything. usually the first vibes-like thing that pops into my head is what goes into the title box

If there's anything I've felt about ace attorney since playing through the original trilogy, it's how cheated I've felt about the fandom interpretation of it. Y'all were so caught up with your gay boys and your Miles Edgeworths I didn't realize how much of this game was about WOMEN. THE CORE OF ACE ATTORNEY IS IN ITS FEMALE CHARACTERS. From Mia jumpstarting Phoenix and guiding him throughout the whole trilogy even after her death, her presence being the primary connecter of Phoenix and Maya, Maya and Godot, heck even Dahlia and Iris and the whole lot of them. From Franziska's earnest faith and consolation of Miles Edgeworth, even begrudgingly, pulling him out the trauma of his childhood with the face to face confrontation of a bullet wound in the same spot as the man who killed his father. Lana and Ema dragging Phoenix back into the thing he does best. Lana and Ema who's tragic story lies in a pair of sisters ruined by the heinous law system and their unconditional love for each other. Dahlia and Iris with a different version of sisterly tragedy, struggling through generational trauma in separate settings and support systems. The matter of the Fey tradition looming over the entire narrative and all the legal and social terror that comes with it. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE ACE ATTORNEY WOMEN.

last year i found a wii at goodwill for 25 dollars and it came with everything except a wiimote but it was in such good condition i was like hell yeah ill take it how hard can it be to find a wiimote. the answer is it's nearly impossible to find them at thrift stores now so i've spent like 8 months looking for ones in thrift stores but there wasn't a single one and then online but i just couldn't bring myself to spend 30 dollars on one single wiimote so i waited so. patiently. and then 2 weeks ago i finally found one at goodwill for 9 dollars but it was absolutely disgusting and the battery cover was missing and the compartment was all corroded so i put it back and regretted it the whole week but then this last weekend i went to savers and there was an absolutely perfect wiimote just sitting there with no corrosion and a jacket and the wrist strap and motion plus and the nunchuck was there too and i got it all for 10 dollars so the moral of the story is that sometimes things seem right for you in the moment but you have to recognize that they aren't and leave them behind so the things that are meant for you will in fact find you when the time is right. peace and love <3
