god i don't even know much about their lore to actually like. expand my shit about them LMAO like. if i base shit from this one post i'd say like. ko being a whole completely new thing for justin. justin's previous coaches being?? not so well???? or like. not as invested or as into him or as developing as ko is even if he clearly has broken vikings records since he got into the vikings like christttt this man is talented and ko clearly knows how to use him.

as i said in that previous askkk ko being the one to be able to like. break apart justins numerous layers of 1) pr perfect (CARMENS ASK ON THIS IS INSANE BTW. WILL GET TO THAT AT SOME POINT ARGH) then 2) lashing out tiger claws etc etc then finally 3) the justin jefferson that gets to break down and stumble and fall and titter uncertainly and very much never to be seen on camera but!! ko gets for some fucking reason and that shit terrifies the ever living shit out of justin who the fuckkk does this guy think he is waltzing into his team with his warm smile and steady hands and certain gait and kind words and clever playbook and encouragement and acceptance. skittering away uncertainly at first when ko shows him this but come on now this is justin jefferson when has he ever run away from anything ever next thing you know he's marching right back to ko and re-introducing himself and boom. charmed and being charming and i don't think he's ever going to let go of ko ever and i don't think ko's ever letting go of him ever lmao.

as ive said ko is like. incredibly soft, such a players coach, that time where he told sam to step away for a sec just to say he was proud of him?? and that clip of him to the side staring at his team hauling sam up oh my godddd. and also again based on this one post ive seen ages ago and ingrained to my fucking head about them its like. it's so fucking FUNNYYYYYY to me. how koc has legitimately mentioned justin has a great smile 😭 i have no idea if he's mentioned it some other times before probably tbfh but. that's so sweet 😭 justin DOES have a pretty smile……the prettiest thing about him dare i say……thank you coach kevin o'connell for mentioning this in actual to everyone in an official article for real lmao SORRY got distracted but. he's so sweet. so kind with his words. and so soft. and just soooo??? so easy to fall for so it took justin like. days. fucking DAYS. for him to just. starts wobbling. eyes to starts skittering away when ko tries catching his gaze. a whole week of just adjusting to new feelings before he starts to snap his spine back into himself because he's justin fucking jefferson and boom he's flirting right back (not that like. ko flirts intentionally at times 😭 they're both just. such natural unintentional flirts at times its a travesty to their team theyve learned to just. live with it. their social media team delights and despair it.).

and i think about ko is that he's like. incredibly charmed by justin. so fucking amazed by his talent. who the fuckkkk works like him. who breaks records like justin jefferson. unable to stop himself from just. gaping. eyes wide everytime he sees justin catch a ball. eyes following his figure running across the field. ears ringing knowing he has to navigate and call a play call a name call something but fuck he's just focused on how justin's smiling how he's swinging around his hips laughing with jordan and practically gleaming underneath the stadium lights. pretty. fucking gone for him. also. great smile. stilllll so stuck on him mentioning justin's smile alkfkasf soooo funny god crying at this.

the flirting. ive talked a bit here mostly as comparison to joemarr's preschool ass shy unable-to-meet-eyes flirting. they are soooo. fucking. Lady Cosima would like tea and coffee (but only coffee that has been sweetened a significant amt lol. She both has a sweet tooth and doesn't enjoy bitter tastes). Would really like milk teas!! Loves desserts, really likes her meat dishes, enjoys food with some spice to it. Really enjoys pasta I think :3

Cain is a tea enjoyer, coffee tolerater. One important thing to know about Cain is that even if he doesn't like a beverage, he's still gonna drink it if he has it LOL. He slams coffee for energy and slams alcohol to get his mind off of things, but he drinks tea to actually enjoy tea. He loves hearty meals, because it gives him a comfortable feeling-- stuff like stews, roasts, rly good sandwiches, etc. Loves vegetables, loves fruit,,, it's just a shame he doesn't often treat himself to balanced meals.

Solaire likes both tea and coffee! He's an earl grey guy for his tea, but a café au lait or latte guy for his coffee. Food-wise, he's a snob LOL he will not eat anything that doesn't have good presentation or offer a "rich palate experience" -- aka he's definitely more into those fine dining dishes. Doesn't really have much of a sweet tooth at all honestly,,!! He prefers fruit over sweets. He lovesss spicy food though. Prefers white meat to dark meat (loves rabbit). Loves salads and soups. Doesn't have much of an appetite generally, so he usually eats lighter foods ;;

Dante's preferred drink order is a margarita or some other fruity, tropical cocktail, but they'll settle for just about any alcohol they come across. But if we're not talking alcohol, they enjoy coffee! They would probs like a good roasted coffee, but honestly, they have a broad palate so most kinds of coffee would be just fine for em. Dante likes to try all sorts of dishes (they're a foodie!!) so it's hard to say if he has a staple food order. They love seafood, they love savory foods, food with spices, juicy food, etc. Like!! Anything really. They like connecting with others over a mutual love of food and of cooking :3

Versailles really likes tea (jasmine, green) and juices. They also do like coffee! They enjoy lattes and matcha :3 Their tastes can best be summarized as "earthy" and "savory." Big fan of curries and rice, kebabs, fried eggs, salads, stews, carrots and potatoes. However, they have some sensory issues so they avoid anything that gives em a bad texture experience like scrambled eggs, meatloaf, bananas (in banana form), and carbonated drinks.

Belmonte usually orders alcoholic drinks (whiskeys, mead, or beers) whenever she's out and about but... she's also down with coffee and juices :3 I think she's an orange juice and pineapple juice enjoyer. Loves meats!! she likes savory food!! big fan of eggs. is actually kinda picky about veggies but again, usually she just has to tough it out and eat whatever's there! she'll do her best to make it into something nicer to swallow. (she's the designated chef friend!!)

He's a Shadow Dragon mage, specialising in ice magic. Tbh I didn't have a specialisation in mind for them when I started, but ice magic was so much fun to use I ended up leaning towards it in the end

I picked Shadow Dragons for them because it seemed the best-suited background for what little I had in mind (scoundrel, jokey vagabond do-gooder) and I'm glad I did, I love the connection they have with Neve as a result

A fun fact about him is that he has a bit of a morbid fascination with creepy things- hence why Emmerich stood out to him immediately as a target for flirtation

As a romantic dynamic: I don’t really think abt them that way… it’s the unrepentant emunene/ruikasa bias. Also a lot of rui & nene’s interactions read as very… sibling-like? To *me*. Personally. I hesitate to say sibling-like, because people get really weird about assigning family dynamics to characters who aren’t related or raised as siblings and have never referred to each other as siblings (“it’s basically incest” no it is not what are you on), but it’s something similar to that imo. Gestures at nene’s new 3rd anniversary 2* card story where Rui is like “I remember when you were reading picture books… and now you’re reading more advanced books… how time flies…” & she’s like “stop treating me like a kid 😑” despite being him being only one year older than her.

I don’t have anything against it (& I think taking shipping fictional characters seriously enough to fight over it is ridiculous), it’s just not for me & I don’t see it romantically. But for the people who do: you do you have fun enjoy yourselves. (I also personally think Rui is gay coded but again. Idc if people disagree it doesn’t affect me I’m glad they’re having fun. Also that’s a hot button topic & I don’t want the people who do take this shit too seriously to hunt me down with pitchforks and torches please go outside it’s not that deep.)

As a platonic dynamic/going off what’s in canon: I’m so obsessed with them (as I am with all wxs dynamics). They’re so fascinating to me. They make me so sad. Another reason I hate the “they’re siblings” thing is it feels like a boring restrictive box people want to shove their dynamic into that does a disservice to how interesting it is. It waters it down.

Nene was the only person Rui really had as a friend when he was a kid, and the only person who trusted in him and his ideas. They grew their love for theatre together. At some point they grew distant - we don’t know why, but my personal take on it is this:

1. Rui slowly growing to think he would never find anyone who got him after experiencing rejection after rejection, and pushing Nene away. A combination of “I need to leave her before she leaves me, this way it will hurt less because it’s My Choice”, “I shouldn’t inflict myself upon other people it’s better for everyone if I stay by myself”, and “Nene has her own friends now I would just be dragging her down.”

2. Nene having her own friends (new troupe) and slowly pulling back - or, at least, not actively trying to prevent him pushing her away. “I don’t want to experience the same social rejection, and I don’t know how to help Rui, there’s nothing I can do.” Nene, especially in the early days, has never been very assertive, and I don’t think favoring blending into the background over standing out (in a potentially embarrassing way) due to Rui’s stunts and ideas would be out of character for her.

3. I don’t think they went to the same middle school/junior high (I could be wrong) (did they even go to the same elementary school?) which meant they didn’t spend time together without one of them reaching out, which became increasingly rare.

I don’t think either of them are to blame. Or they share equal blame, depending on how you look at it. I see people placing more of the blame on Nene though, which is… Nene get behind me. Leave her alone. If you held my prsk account at gunpoint and said “ok but seriously who is more to blame for the relationship breakdown you have choose or your 4*s are gone forever” I would say Rui. Wouldn’t even have to think about it. Given his abandonment issues/avoidant tendencies/habit of pushing others away/pre main story mindset, it’s what makes the most sense.

They don’t really reconnect until the main story, and even then I wholeheartedly believe Rui was less interested in reconnecting than he was interested in getting Nene to perform again. He accepts Tsukasa’s invitation to WxS under the condition that he gets to bring in a fourth member and then immediately tries to leave the second Tsukasa is like “I don’t want to die wtf.” like he doesn’t even try that hard to convince him he just goes “ok bye have fun nene :).”

Rui builds Nene a robot so she can perform again which - I’ve talked about it before briefly, I need to talk about it at length at some point, but while that’s very sweet it’s also… not helpful. Not in the long run, at least. It wasn’t a *bad* thing, it was just the only solution he was capable of offering. It was a bandaid over a gaping wound situation - Nene couldn’t hide behind a robot forever. Rui couldn’t always be there to fix nenerobo, she couldn’t pursue performing seriously behind a robot, and she *wanted* to be on stage again. What Nene needed was the courage to get on stage again, and Rui didn’t have the skill set to help with that, because it was something Nene needed to find on her own (with support).

The thing about them in the early days is they both enabled each other to stagnate in situations they weren’t happy with. Maybe more so Rui than Nene, in that he literally built he a robot to allow her to avoid confronting her anxiety around performing, but Nene also lacked the ability to challenge or discourage Rui’s “I’m better off on my own” mindset. The tragic consequences of two people who lack social skills (one of which has pretty severe social anxiety) trying to help each other. Nothing really gets done.

(As an aside: this is why the emu+nene and tsukasa+rui dynamics are so crucial. Yes even outside of a ship dynamic I promise I’m accounting for my own bias. Emu+tsukasa did actually have the ability to encourage nene+rui to come out of their shells - Emu is Nene’s no.1 hype man and always encourages her in everything she does and pushes her outside her comfort zone socially. Nene doesn’t have to guess at what Emu is thinking & get caught up in the weeds of anxiety bc Emu will just tell her outright. Rui credits Tsukasa specifically with giving him the chance to change for a reason, and Mizuki/pandemonium NPCs point out that Rui has seemed so much happier and less closed off since becoming Tsukasa’s friend. Pointing @ the thing Rui’s CV said about as you like it.)

There’s still some degree of guilt on Nene’s side wrt being unable to help Rui even now, but that’s lessened over the course of the story. There’s a lot that goes unsaid between them about their shared past, but they also understand each other incredibly well after knowing each other for ~10 years. By virtue of knowing each other forever they’re both well acquainted with how the other’s mind works.

Nene can tell what’s bothering Rui in wonder halloween before even he realizes it, and she understands that he struggles to explain/articulate his feelings and issues in curtain call. Rui is tuned into Nene’s anxiety saw trap of a mind and is well versed in getting her to realize she’s overthinking things (I.e. “why don’t you just ask tsukasa what he did in the acting camp” in her emu3 2* card. I think that’s the right card) as well as getting her to speak up (shutting emu up with a donut in one of the earlier nene card stories so nene has a chance to talk. source here is just trust me I don’t want to hunt the card down).

Nene is always in his corner, and the reverse is true. They want each other to be happy and they’re so so so pleased that the other is doing better now. Nene often points out that Rui seems happier, and Rui is very proud of how far Nene has grown both on the stage and off it. Love their dynamic it’s so good… I care them…

oh my god okay SO i cant talk about vritra without ashtaroth theyre two halves of a whole

they spent nearly all their time together and this was all before yknow lucifer had their little hissy fit and he and many other celestials fell.

what vritra didnt know tho was that ashtaroth felt the same as lucifer and there was tension between the celestials but vritra the sweet dumbass thought everything was fine.

and then the revolution happened. all hell broke loose in heaven and ambushes and allat shit and almsot every celestial that was in the place where vritra was at died and because they was the only survivor it was assumed it was his fault and ashtaroth being who they were was like "yeah its their fault" because they didnt wanna loose vritra bc ashtaroth wasnt gonna stay in heaven so their fate was sealed away with all the other fallen celestials and they were kicked from heaven.

ashtaroth thought that they would remain together because they would both be cast out of heaven but

BOY were they wrong

after that happened, ashtaroth and vritra spent a millennia without eachother, vritras anger festering in his heart for being betrayed by the one person they trusted and loved the most in the universe and ashtaroth longing for the day in which they could reconcile

so vritras whole shtick was well if i devote myself to returning to heaven maybe they will take me back. so they became a priest and being on sacred ground suppressed his anger and essentially controlled his powers. they spend a lot of time meditating and often go days just sitting there

meanwhile ashtaroth basically went into denial that the person they loved most in the universe wants nothing more than to see them dead and turned to pretty bad coping mechanisms and basically fell prey to becoming one of lucifers goons carrying out her will and doing demonly things and then later being betrayed by lucifer. one day after escaping from captivity, ashtaroth returned to the chagrin of vritra

as your cells divide the dna can get fucked up due to mutations and usually that’s fine, dna is degenerative and so multiple combinations can code for the same thing to mitigate mutations but sometimes u can get so fucked over that a nessicary part of your dna becomes corrupted, say for example, the part that tells your cell to stop replicating

cancer is just when this happens, and the cell keeps replicating and making more copies of a corrupt cells, creating a tumor. these tumors of corse block things like blood vessels or can spread to places we really don’t want them to be

going back to the fact that blue whales are really big and their cells are really small, this means that they would need a REALLY big tumour to start to be affected. and so a small tumour keeps growing and growing, it’s cells replicating until wait. a mutation!

cancer cells are still body cells and thus just as susceptible to mutations. this means that they are able to fuck up and mutate to the point that suddenly, they start attacking themselves or stop replicating at all (not sure which it is i havnt seen the video for a while). Thus a tumour will destroy itself before it becomes a problem

#10. What's an au you have for them?

Since them meeting at all is technically an AU i have 3 different ways that they do meet up. There's the one where Juniper ends up with the agency/adjacent to and ends up working with Reggie (have written a fic with this). The next one is Juniper surviving but basically going stealth and living as normal of a life as he can and ending up meeting Reggie through chance (most recent fic I've written). And then there's my personal favourite where Reginald "You're lucky my tracking skills are still up to snuff" Crane keeping himself busy after Phoenix was MIA and finding Juniper still alive (fic I want to write but haven't started mainly because it may end up multi chapter).

In terms of more AU canon bending taking them and putting them in a completely unrelated situation...I have a guilty pleasure Warrior Cats AU for IEYTD in general. Both JJ and Reggie have perfect warrior cats suffixes in their names already (Juniper and Crane) so they're called Junipersong (charcoal bengal) and Craneflight (tabby Norwegian forest cat). It's very silly but the amount of scenes I have in my mind for it...good lord...

i think!! arisugu met in high school!! that makes most sense to me :> i transferred into his class and got attached to him …. pretty quickly probably. LMAO. i can see suguru being the one who gets assigned to show me around bc satoru Cannot be trusted w new students and shoko is a delinquent in the making…. so sugu is probably the one i meet first :3 and then i subtly imprint on him. like a duckling. a little ari following him around bc he has a soft silky voice. and he gets a bit of a soft spot eventually (me and the bad bitch i pulled by being socially incompetent <33)

WITH THAT BEING SAID…….. i see arisugu as The slowburn ever. neither of us are the love at first sight type, so i think it’d take a year or two for us to actually Fall in Love…. a year of getting to know each other on a deeper and more vulnerable level (ON THAT NOTE. late-night talks under starry skies are extremely arisugu coded)… so the feelings are very deep but. even though they’re mutual i don’t think we’d get together until a couple years have passed 😭😭 sugu would get tired of the ”chase” eventually and confess in our last year of hs maybe…. but i am Not Ready to accept his feelings. or my own. and i tell him that.

and so … he waits :’3 (WILLINGLY MIGHT I ADD i just think he’s the type of guy to say ”i’ll wait for you.” and Mean it yk….) until i eventually make the final push in like. our early twenties maybe…. which would mean about five total years of pining?? ish??? i just see it as a very tender, very very slow romance!! kinda like wading into deep water when you’re afraid of it. but by the time we get together we already know and trust each other so deeply that the change isn’t really too abrupt….. though he insists on taking everything at our own pace anyway. sniffle. i adore him (ALSO needless to say i’m not following canon here 🤨🤨 i firmly believe sugu wouldn’t have defected if he had a baby duckling following him around ok)
