Bad news for those querying agents: "AI" is ruining this, too
Sending your book manuscript off to agents in hopes of selling it? Be aware that at least some of them have taken the lazy route and are now using "artificial intelligence" to process submissions, thereby wrecking the author/ agent process.
If an agent doesn't read your manuscript themselves, don't trust them to be able to sell it to a publisher, either. Any agents doing this have made themselves irrelevant and unnecessary, and aren't worth paying agenting fees, as they only slow submission to publishers.

Does anyone have any UPG around Máni? I keep feeling pulls there, and there's really nothing in the lore about him (or Sunna/Sól, for that matter). I was curious if anyone included him as a more central piece of their practice.

Hi! I heard from an online friend that Hamilton was a terrible artist. Is this true, and is there any evidence that shows as such.
XX Bizzkit
I'll let you be the judge of that. This is what is presumably a self-portrait drawn by then Captain Hamilton in his military pay book in 1776.
Alexander Hamilton Papers: Miscellany, 1711-1820; Military papers; By period; American Revolution, 1775-1783; New York Artillery Company pay book, includes notes by Hamilton on a variety of subjects, 1776, Aug.-1777, May
It's okay, you can be honest.
It is also debatable wether this powder horn is truly his, but the unicorn certainly isn't helping his case.

Thoughts on horses?
While I Do Not Harbor Any Trauma Based Hatred For Horses, I Do Believe That They Are In Essence An Evolutionary Mistake.
I Mean Really. They Have Long, Spindly And Frankly Quite Breakable Legs, But Are Rendered So Useless When Broken That Death Is A Mercy To Avoid A Life Of Horrendous Pain? And Yet They Rely So Deeply On Their Ability To Run?
They Truly Are An Affront To All Things Logical.
Also, I Have Never Cared For Equius.

For the cj haunted au, what is the most annoying time Soul has turned on the lights for Juno and Jupiter
{For Jupiter, it would be when hes asleep. Hes a light sleeper, so a light turning on would immediately wake him up. He barely gets enough sleep as is, so its annoying for the few times he finally does manage to get rest and its a peaceful rest, hes woken up by Soul turning on the light}
{For Juno, its when theyve adjusted to things being darker. A sudden bright light hurts a lot. Aside from that they dont really mind the lights being turned on, it honestly makes it easier for them}

It had been a minute since I checked back on Automisia & I was super excited to see new pages! I freakin' love this thing you're making. You're such an inspiration for my game of The Sprawl.
Just wanted you to know that your work freakin' kicks, chummer. Can't get enough.
I'm also a sucker for (n)WoD & I'm loving what I've seen of your Changeling stuff. I'm a Mage guy myself but I love WoD art regardless of splat.
Hope you're doing okay
i'm glad you've been enjoying it, i work hard ;;b
we're close to the end of chapter 4 plus attached materials, and after chapter 5's been fully drawn/the resulting work hiatus, we'll be back into it- i know i've been quiet here, repeat shadowbans aren't fun or kind and outside that i've been trying to manage tenuously middling mental health ,~,;
while ive been drawing a lot of CtL, ive quickly become a very big fan of Ascension as another top contender/game I super wanna play- i only have a few arts of that however, mostly revolving around a moni AU where the Arcane background is actively an existential detriment to her, to the point that it caused her awakening and fuels her seekings by way of "if everything is connected to everything, where do i fit into existence- do i fit into existence?"

Building sized robots, bots that are buildings (supercomputers, factories, laboratories...), hive bots (as in, has a bunch of smaller bodies but are all one bot), those types.
*heavy static* W-well, the, umm... The thing a-about big r-robots... Um...

A carrier pigeon has dropped off a letter!
(Sorry in advance if ya don't do questions like these! :'D Thought to send an ask in a fashionable fashion and hope submissions still work- )
CC:
Greetings Professor J. Finch,
I trust this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you with great interest in your renowned research. My curiosity has been piqued by a topic that holds personal significance to me, a friend, an acquaintance of mine – the intriguing realm of giant culture.
His particular interest comes from the fact they have a rather terrible curse that causes him to have emotionally tied growth spurts. He is a prince from a kingdom I cannot safely expose and has been in confinement for several years. While he has been taken care of and isn’t in any immediate danger to my knowledge, he has been considering if he would be better suited among giants. However, I do not know if a human like him could fit in with their species or if it’s worth reaching out.
He certainly doesn’t belong with humans anymore.
In light of this, I humbly seek your guidance and counsel. I am eager to learn about the broader spectrum of giants' attitudes towards those who experience shifts in size. His foremost desire is to understand his options, and your candid insights would be immensely valued.
I extend my gratitude for your consideration of this matter. Kindly direct your response to my associate's address, and I shall ensure the information reaches its intended recipient.
Yours sincerely,
Concerned anonymous.
~~~
Dear Concerned Anonymous,
My, what a concerning condition. I can likely see just how stressful it must be for you the person in question. Humans are not very tolerant when it comes to the different and unknown, as I can attest to greatly. I am humbled that you think I am the one to reach out to, and for that I thank you.
If one such as this individual were to seek refuge amongst giants, I would strongly believe that they would find solace. Most giants, at least those accustomed to human contact, would revel in the idea of a friend or lodger that could change size, as it would likely be seen as a sign of strength, something which they, as a species, hold in high regard. As long as shrinking isn't also an issue, as you might see how being mere inches around one so large may be dangerous, it sounds to me like a splendid idea.
I shall attach a list of my contacts in the giant world, some of my friends that I know will either accept your acquaintance with open arms, or put you in contact with those who will if they are unable to care for the prince. Do bear in mind that the size disparity between their subspecies is of a greater range than any other mammal, so it should be all too easy to accept a size shifter into their homes and hearts.
I do hope you your acquaintance finds the people they need to accept them as the wonderful and blessed person they are.
Professor J Finch
✧ keep: an important part of your personality that others seldom see, that remains a vital part of who you are even if nobody knows it's there.
When he is 9,
The eyes of the governess stare down upon him as he's called to read aloud. His words don't trip over each other the way they had when he'd first arrived, tongue clumsy with the weight of a language he'd grasped odds and ends and no centers of, but they do stumble, stutter, cut off, when he meets her gaze. It's the weight of those eyes upon him that he is still not used to -- eyes free of the unique cross he will forever bear.
When he is 14,
Jean and Diluc take to presenting drills with practiced ease, as was part of the routine of the fearless Ordo Favonius, and while Kaeya had thought he'd have fully caught up to their bravado by now -- to put it simply, he hasn't. Today, again, his hand trembles as it grasps the hilt of his sword, and he nearly drops it when he swings, but at least he's started to learn to play off the laughter that inevitably comes his way. Work in progress, he tells himself. He promises the two dearest to him that he's just trying to ensure he'll never have to play leader -- I'm perfect otherwise, aren't I? -- and offers a jab about how he's certainly seen Diluc drop his claymore before to divert the subject.
When he is 17,
He stares at the church's entryway for a beat, then another, before sighing to himself and ultimately departing in favor of the Ordo Favonius barracks. There's a first aid kit there, though there's not a healer, but he's gleaned enough knowledge from the treatments he's received previously to know what he ought to do for the fresh burn that still sears the side of his face. Nobody's seen it just yet, thank gods, and he intends to keep it that way, ascot wadded up and pressed firmly to ensure the rain doesn't soak the injury. It might feel nice, but Kaeya doesn't want to know what kind of infections would come from the wrathful sky above. He makes sure to keep his head down in the hallways, and mentally works out what he'll explain to whatever captain he'll surely be shoved towards in the morning.
When he is 22,
He adjusts the garments carefully, gingerly, feeling both at home and foreign entirely in the ensemble he's been provided. Idyia calls him from her place on the stage, and Kaeya meanders out from the fitting room obediently to present his new ensemble. When so many eyes land on him, he can't help but fidget with the dressing, shifting side to side in a motion that almost looks nervous.
It seems, even after all these years, he's still terribly shy.
The mental image of one of the Hashira (probably Tanjiro, that seems very in-character for him) giving an anti-bullying lecture to a handful of teenagers (who might not even be listening) is sending me
believe it or not, the anti-bullying seminar was actually one of the first things i wrote when i made the sun hashira's tsuguko au. so in honor of this ask, here's the scene i had in mind, in like . just dialogue format. in all of its dubiously canon glory
-
sanemi: does anyone know why the hell we're here
obanai: i think if we knew, you wouldn't have to ask
mitsuri: oh! what if it's a surprise? wouldn't that be fun!!
kanae: it probably has something to do with the fact that we're all training under a hashira
kagaya: wait but i'm here too
sanemi: holy shit oh my god when did you get here
kagaya: i've been here the whole time???
kyoujurou: he has, in fact, been here the whole time!
kanae: well, ubuyashiki-kun is kind of training under a hashira, even if he isn't technically a demon slayer
kagaya: yet
shinobu: wait, what about tomioka
obanai: ugh, what about tomioka
kyoujurou: she does have a point! he is kamado-san’s tsuguko! if this were a meeting for those training under the hashira, he would most certainly be a part of it!
sanemi: maybe they forgot about him lol
obanai: (snort)
mitsuri: don't be mean!!!
kaigaku: ugh, can you guys just shut up already??? they'll just tell us what this meeting is about when they get here
tengen: who do you think ‘they’ is?
kanae: one of the hashira?
shinobu: well if it's not any of our teachers, it would have to be kamado-san or tokitou-san
kagaya: it could be my father
kaigaku: what would oyakata-sama want with a bunch of snot-nosed brats like us?
tengen: at least he included himself in the count…
kiriya: hello, my children
everyone: oyakata-sama!!!
tanjirou: i'm here, too!
everyone: kamado-san!!!
kiriya: i've gathered you all here today because of some concerning rumors about our youngest members of the corps that tanjirou brought to my attention
kaigaku: (oh shit)
obanai: (shut up!)
kiriya: tanjirou?
tanjirou: so, basically, this is a seminar on bullying
tengen: oh my god
shinobu: (uzui shut up!!!)
tengen: is the reason tomioka’s not here because we were bullying him
tanjirou: so you admit to it
sanemi: oh my god???
kiriya: bullying is a serious topic that shouldn't be taken lightly
shinobu: with all due respect, oyakata-sama, kamado-san, we aren't doing much more to him than playful insults. i'm not sure why you’d think we were bullying him-
tanjirou: okay i'm cutting to the chase
tanjirou: giyuu and i had a conversation the other night that implied that at least one, but likely several of his peers were saying either to his face or behind his back that he wasn't worthy of being my tsuguko
tanjirou: and if that came from one of you, then i am breaking somebody’s legs
obanai:
obanai: oh shit
#kny#demon slayer#scribings#kinda#sun hashira and tsuguko au#queries#i say dubiously canon because number one idk if it actually happens in the story#and number two i'm still iffy on what i want to do with kagaya so idk if he'd be there
hi! New here. I have a question! I heard Hamilton had violet-blue mixed eyes. Do you think he had Alexandria's genesis? I mean, it's the closest to what I think it could be. Since violet eyes aren't naturally accusing and are generally the result of a mutation.
This has actually been a theory of mine for a while now! As always, we may never know for certain. But Alexandria Genesis was not discovered until around the year 2013, [x] thus of course, the people of the colonial days would not know of any proper terminology for this rare sort of diagnosis; but there are many accounts of Hamilton that would actually describe the symptoms. Fisher Ames account of Hamilton's eye color in the New York Mirror was recorded as;
The same writer remarks that General Hamilton’s eyes were grey. This is a mistake. They were of a deep azure, eminently beautiful, without the slightest trace of hardness or severity, and beamed with higher expressions of intelligence and discernment than any others I saw oscillate in the “human face divine.”
New York Mirror: A Weekly Gazette of Literature and the Fine Arts. United States, G. P. Morris, 1825.
Even though Hamilton's own grandson, Allan McLane, would go on to describe Hamilton's eyes as having taken on a purple shade—His grandfather had died years before his birth, so it is far from a first hand account, yet decently worth noting in case he may have heard it from relatives or friends of Hamilton;
His eyes were a deep blue—almost violet—and he undoubtedly presented the physical appearance of his Scotch father rather than his French mother: His eyes were deep set, his nose long, and of the Roman type, and he had a good chin, the jaw being strong; the mouth firm and moderately large.
Hamilton, Allan McLane. The Intimate Life of Alexander Hamilton: Based Chiefly Upon Original Family Letters and Other Documents, Many of which Have Never Been Published. United States, C. Scribner's sons, 1910.
To go further, other symptoms of Alexandria Genesis were noted in the link above as; “Those who have this mutation will never grow any facial, body, pubic, or anal hair (not including hair on their head, on their ears, noses, eyebrows and eyelashes). Women also do not menstruate, but are fertile”
There are no accounts of Hamilton having any noticable facial hair at all, rather the opposite in fact, where he is often described as having a young, or even feminine appearance. Additionally, if you look closely at many portraits of Hamilton throughout his lifetime, you will notice there are no signs of any facial hair around his portrayed face;
In order; portrait of Alexander Hamilton, by Charles Peale (ca. 1780), Alexander Hamilton portrait, by John Trumbull (ca. 1792), portrait of Alexander Hamilton, by Ezra Ames (ca. 1802)
