He's a soft, quiet boi who prefers it when others talk.

Very owl-like with his wide, inquisitive stare and quiet nature. Sometimes you can't even tell if he's there unless you call for him.

A child genius that grew up with a talent for technology. He graduated university with a PhD in computer science because he thought it was his calling, but got burnt out and eventually found his passion in being a tattoo artist instead.

You can often find Ren on walks with Violet and her plants at night, or helping his other childhood friend Leon with stretches at the beach during the day.

He's in an alt indie band with a few of his close friends and often switches between playing the bass and electric guitar!!

Ren takes his mother to a butterfly conservatory each year for her birthday because she absolutely adores them. She always tells her children that they're lucky to share such beautiful eyes with her loving husband, because they remind her of morpho butterflies.

Often sits and listens to Elanor ramble on and on about her day while he waits for you to finish work. He won't give her much input, but he'll be nodding his head and taking in every word instead.

Owns 14 different hoodies because you always seem to steal them when he's not looking. Sometimes he'll leave your favourite candy in the pockets for you to find.

He likes to pick up Hannah from university every so often, and they usually go on night drives on his motorcycle whenever the stress from exams become too much.

Dyes the ends of his hair blonde to feel closer to his father. Ren hugely admires him for founding his own company at such a young age, and was a big inspiration for him growing up.

Ren also got to marry his beloved childhood friend after you proposed to him in an all-too-familiar playground!!

19. What's your Tav's personality like at the start of the game? Does it change as the game goes on?

Vir’s personality in the beginning of act 1 is, on the surface level, playful and charismatic if a little aloof, but there’s a clear intensity underlying their disposition that makes your hair stand on end when they give you their full attention. As easy as they can slip into the shadows, their appearance and demeanor can demand attention and lead interactions with a quiet dominance learned from their years as a bounty hunter.

After the Gith creche, the playfulness drops as the full reality of the situation hits and their bounty hunter persona slips back into place. The further they get into act 2 the more reserved and severe they get as the tension ramps up, but also more prone to outburst as their drinking problem worsens with the stress of keeping everyone alive and on the right path.

It isn't until Lae'zel's confession scene that Vir begins to realize they need to get their shit together, and Shadowheart's turn from Shar and Ketheric's defeat finally cement it.

Act 3 is when they really start trying to be their best self, reconciling the playfulness and charm of the younger self they've been striving to be again with their more intense and dominant lycanthropic nature they'd been repressing. All along with refusing to fall back into the cold comfort of their old bounty hunter lifestyle.

61. How does your Tav feel about Baldur's Gate? Is it their home? Is it their first time in the city?

Vir might not be a born Baldurian but they are a raised Baldurian so naturally, they both love and loathe the city; It shithole, but it's their shithole.

It is strange for them to see their city out of relatively sober eyes for the first time in 10 years. They take it all in stride though and revel in (re)introducing their companions to the finer part of the city.

i really just use these 3 brushes for the most part! as for textured brushes i like to use halftone textures and i think i used these screen tones! you gotta play around with the settings see what fits your ✨artistic vision✨ best 🤓

27. Favorite voice performance?

It's gotta go to Miles Luna, I'm so serious. I don't know how he's that good at making Jaune sound so authentically distressed. But the strain and emotion he gets in his voice in the V5 and V8 finales haunts me. Honorary mention to Aaron Dismuke tho. The work he does switching between Oz and Oscar is really incredible. Also the subtleties he's able to achieve in moments like the whale where the characters are exhausted and injured in a way that would affect how they speak is Very Cool.

15. Most nostalgic part of Poser animation?

I've been here since the Red trailer and I still love the visuals of the poser era. RWBY as an indie webseries has a lot of the same charm that webcomics do to me. Sometimes you'll start a comic and the art (in this case, animation) isn't flawless, but it's got a lot of heart. It has a story to tell and it doesn't care about being perfect before it puts pen to the paper. And as more updates come out, we slowly get to see the changes and improvements as the people creating it grow their skills in the process. Even just the minute differences between V1, 2, and 3 are really fun to notice.

He’s not always into parties, like he’ll spend time with the rest of the crew when they’re hangin but generally he’s not into it when everyone gets real loud for long periods of time

Any time Ikkaku and Shachi are assembling a round of ‘let’s prank captain’ not only is Hakugan IN but he already has a bank of ideas since the last time they did it. He’s very good at coming up with harmless things that really get under Law’s skin.

He can fall asleep on command. Like he was awake? Boom now he’s not. When they’re with the Straw Hats (depending on where they are at the time) him and Zoro have unspoken territory wars over the Good Nap Spots that aren’t on either of their ships.

28. What does your Tav think of Auntie Ethel? What do they tell Mayrina?

The first time Vir meets Ethel in the Grove he can tell somethings a little… off about her, but they’ve got more pressing matters to attend to at the time so they don’t look into it too much.

The second time they meet Vir has a full ‘I knew it!’ moment as she shows her true colors after he doesn’t side with her. He convinces the brothers not to go looking for her and with some nudging from Wyll and seeing her effect on the swamp, decides it’s for the best to dispose of the hag.

Although Vir is annoyed by Mayrina’s attitude after they rescue her, he understands that sad and desperate people often lash out and they still retrieve the wand for her. He does think briefly about breaking the wand himself so she can finally grieve normally but in the end, he brings him back and gives her the wand so she can make the choice herself.

43. What does your Tav think of Jaheira and the Harpers?

Vir loves Jaheria, she fits right into their little group of misfits, and her insightfulness and sense of humor are something that he can relate to. Her calm and levelheaded nature is also something that Vir appreciates, especially as things get more hectic and they need someone to knock some sense into them.

96. Does Lae'Zel remain loyal to Vlaakith, or does she follow Orpheus? Or neither?

In Vir’s canon, Lae’zel renounces Vlaakith and leaves to join the revolution with Voss and Orpheus.

After the first meeting with Voss, it's something that looms over their relationship - Lae’zel is leaving (whether she truly wants to or not) and there is a very real possibility she might not come back, but it's far safer for everyone if she does, no matter how much it hurts.

11. What goes through your Tav's head when they wake up on the Nautiloid? Are they scared or do they push those feelings aside to focus on escaping?

He’s not particularly scared, maybe more annoyed than anything. This isn't the first time Emra’s woken up in a (very) sticky situation like this and it probably won't be the last. He’s quick to push through and try to get the fuck off the ship and preferably out of literal hell.

37. Did your Tav go to Creche Y'llek? Did they know something was up with the healer?

He did. He didn’t want to, he left his people behind decades ago and had no intention of ever returning to them, but he knew there was no other way to shake Lae’zel’s unwavering loyalty to her people.

The moment they enter the Ghustil’s office Emra already knows how this is going to end. He’s been around long enough to know that the Githyanki’s only cure for a ghaik parasite is death, and if they did have another cure it sure as hell wouldn’t be at some backwater creche. He still lets Lae’zel get into the zaith'isk though, her faith is far too strong for her to get the reality of the situation without some direct consequences.

40. Did your Tav agree to kill the Guardian or did they go talk to them instead?

Emra had no intention to kill the Guardian, but getting a direct order from Vlaakith herself pretty well guaranteed the Guardian's life out of spite alone.

Treble

99. Did Wyll get freed from Mizora? Did he save his father?

Getting Wyll out from under Mizora’s thumb was Treble’s top priority as soon she learned about his contract. Freedom is incredibly important to her so there wasn't a chance in the hells that she was gonna let a good man like Wyll be stuck doing a fiend's bidding.

As for Ulder Ravengard, Treble’s opinion of him is… less than favorable, but keeping him alive is clearly important to Wyll so when they find him in The Iron Throne she makes sure he gets out safely.
