First off, John hates seeing you hurting, whether you're experiencing cramps or just stubbed your toe

He's seen too many people he cares about in pain, so it really does affect him and he wishes he could take your pain away more than anything

Speaking of pain, he knows it well and probably has a lot of training and experience with coping mechanisms for physical pain. He would probably teach you some when the body aches and cramps get really bad

But if we're being real here, he probably wouldn't know much about it at first, being around mostly men for so long. He knows the basics, but stuff like hormone levels and why you start crying out of nowhere is beyond him

But he's a fast learner if you take the time to tell him about it

He also learns how to comfort you in the way you want pretty quickly

You want snacks?? He's going to the grocery store and getting you your favorites. You want cuddles and a movie? He's a little stiff with cuddles at first but he's trying ok?? Want to use his hand as a heating pad? His answer is YES because he's a walking furnace and he knows it.

he WILL draw you a bath if you want it, he doesn't know what the candles and flower petals do, but it seems to make you happy, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One of his love languages is 100% acts of service - he just loves doing domestic things for you <3

I’m so sorry that you have to deal with that. It genuinely is a gap in maturity because he’s a person with a life before reader (I know Gojo is fictional but for the sake of this topic I’m going to ask yall to be realistic since IHM touches on a lot of reality). People aren’t just side characters to your story, they’ve existed and will continue to exist whether or not you’re around. That doesn’t devalue anyone or make them gross, that’s just life 😭

You are absolutely right that it is a red flag if someone (that’s interested in relationships and stuff) has not had any prior experience bc that means there’s a reason for it 😭

We still don’t even know WHY they split, people break up over things all the time and sometimes nobody is the villain in the story. We don’t really know all that much about Gojo yet so let’s be patient PLS

Yes we’ve seen that his ex is going to try and get him back but we literally know nothing about where Gojo and Y/N stand at that point. Right now, we know they’re (at least physically) attracted to each other but they’re not at the point where exclusivity is expected. Maybe the ex is trying to wait out their marriage, maybe she actually does just suck but we DONT KNOW ANYTHING YET PLS WAIT 😭

OTTO

Otto definitely has an appreciation for the arts! Although his passion lies in science, he can enjoy more artistic and expressive endeavors. The man is a romantic at heart and takes a thoughtful approach to the art he sees.

If you create art thought? You’ve blown him away. He’s absolutely captivated by your work, in both awe and utter confusion!

“The process is quite simple, actually. I decided to use more saturated tones in order to accentuate these lines, making a callback to the centerpiece. In the foreground, I made sure the hues were far more subtle.”

“I see!”

“You do?”

“...Not really. I have no idea what you just said. Regardless, it’s gorgeous. It makes me feel… hopeful,” he muttered, brows furrowed in concentration as he surveyed your work.

“I’m flattered by your support, Otto, really.” You sighed, “...But you’ve been staring at it for 10 minutes. It’s not finished, sweetie.”

Sometimes you’ll affectionately call him your “Vitruvian Man,” especially when he dons his extra arms.

Otto was pretty confused when you tried to teach him how to draw. He’s flustered at all the details a viewer doesn’t tend to take into account when looking at art. All in all, he’s unprepared, but his curiosity beats it by far.

“Where does the light hit the sphere, Otto?”

“From the lamp,” he replied simply, gesturing towards the light hanging from your ceiling.

You released a sigh. This would be a long night.

A few days into your lessons, he surprises you!

“Otto, this is wonderful! But what is it?”

“...It was supposed to be you.”

“OH-”

It takes a bit, but Otto is a fast learner, and eventually gets the hang of it! Within weeks you’ve established the basics with him and now he understands your process so much more.

After drawing with him, at work he finds himself absentmindedly doodling in his notes. It seems you brought out his creative side.

If this occurs before his accident, expect to be helping him with sketches for his prototype. When he first sees it he’s overjoyed to finally see his vision come to life.

You draw Otto. A lot. When you first show him a drawing you made of him, he’s both flattered and shocked! Before meeting you, the man hadn’t expected someone to draw him. Seeing it in person is almost surreal.

If he ever feels insecure about his appearance, you make sure to tell him how handsome he is in vivid detail.

“Your soft features make you all the more attractive to me. Every crease I see displays a sign of strength and survival, tying you together. Your-”

Otto is blushing furiously. It seems you broke him. He nearly shattered when you continued gushing over him while stroking his cheek.

When you’re creating something large, like a mural perhaps, he’s happy to pick you up with his tentacles if you need assistance.

NORMAN

Although Norman can appreciate the work that goes into art, sometimes he struggles to find meaning in it. But that changes once he meets you.

Norman has a particular interest in more historical items, evident by his mask collection in his manor. He adores hearing you talk about art history, allowing you to explain the context of various pieces. Sometimes though, he just asks so he can listen to your voice.

He is incredibly supportive of your vocation. Do you need some supplies? Done. Are you having an art show? He tries his best to attend every single one. If you accept commissions, he definitely mentions you to his connections, eager to spread your name.

“Darn, I need more cadmium red,” you sighed, gazing upon your empty tube of paint.

Norman merely slides his credit card towards you.

“Go nuts,” he winks.

Norman found himself caught off guard at the idea of him trying art. Him? An artist?

You’re one of the few people he shows his gentle side to. His soft demeanor and tenderness had proved to you that he held a great capacity for more emotional artwork.

Norman clearly had a lot on his plate; especially once the goblin came into play, and you’ve been working together to help him find ways to relax. That’s how you came to organize little art therapy sessions for the two of you a couple of times a week.

He’s incredibly frustrated at first.

“I don’t get what I’m doing wrong,” he grumbled, “Why does it look like this?”

“Well Norman, why shouldn’t it look that way?”

“It’s a mess! A literal pile of brush strokes and scribbles.”

“It’s abstract. Did you enjoy painting it?”

“...Yes.”

“Then scribble away.”

He was hesitant at first, but he grew to enjoy painting. They’re not always the most detailed or elegant, but it’s a tactile way for him to express his feelings. Norman also feels a lot closer to you during the activity.

But then you tried to teach him drawing.

So many precious pencils had broken in the crossfire. But with patience, he learned to enjoy drawing as well. Much like his paintings, they’re amalgamations of lines, abstract in every way. Norman’s feelings are incredibly complex, especially when dealing with his alter ego, so words can’t always convey his frustrations.

Once he got the hang of it, he drew a lovely picture of Harry as a baby.

“I don’t think this is so bad, actually,” he paused, “Harry was just a weird-looking baby.”

CURT

Curt is incredibly captivated by your work. Even before you date, several of your pieces occupy his home. He feels like your artwork is just another wonderful part of you.

“What do you like about it?” You smiled.

“I like that you made it.”

As a scientist, objective data and facts are more up his speed. When it comes to art, the man can be a bit confused. But he’s got the spirit.

“Wow, this is great!” Curt said, trying to spark conversation while you tour an art museum. In order to impress you, he had done a bit of research into several of the pieces, eager to show he knows a thing or two. But he hadn’t looked into every piece, nor were you naive.

“Curt. Even I don’t know what the hell this is.”

“Well it’s obviously a… a…” he stuttered before sighing dejectedly, “Christ, I don’t know. A butt?”

Curt had become proficient with his left arm and hand, additionally developing particularly neat handwriting. Although he never considered using it to draw.

When you’d explain to process to him, he’d listen intently, impressed by your understanding of the craft itself.

Sometimes to help him find a good angle, you’d gently cup his hand in yours to guide him. Eventually, some of the mistakes he’d make would be on purpose.

Inspired by his profession in herpetology, he would draw lizards! But only lizards.

“This lizard looks amazing Curt! Next time I’ll show you how to draw people-”

“No. I want to draw more lizards.”

You made him a drawing of his lizard form that he keeps in his office. To him, it’s like your way of saying you accept him, no matter what.

You are sitting on the already set table, when you accidentally slip -the title of the clumsiest person alive fits you well - and throw away the dish. The hot stew falls over your hand and T-Shirt, not only staining everything but also burning you.

“Oh my God darling!!!”, shouts Marco and comes to your rescue. He is an excellent doctor, so immediately takes off your clothes. “I’m sorry babe, I know it’s cold but if you keep the clothes on with the steaming hot soup over your skin is going to get burned!”, he tells you while you whine because it really hurts. “Don’t worry baby, come here”, he says and a little blue flame sprouts from his palm and he slowly passes them all over your chest. You experience a great relief and maybe a little bit more… You squirm as the flames brush your breasts. Apparently the blue flames over sensitive zones may have another effect besides curing.

Marco watches you observant, intrigued. He is a man of science, he is interested in your reactions. “Are you ok?” he asks, tilting his head a little. “I- I am…” you tell him, a little embarrassed. “You sure?”, he asks you again and then uses his blue flames over your breasts one more time. You gasp soundly, and fidget over the chair. Marco gives you a little side smirk. He starts to understand what’s going on, and does it again. “So… is this what my flames produce on you?”.  “Uhum…”, you tell him, and look at the ground embarrassed. “Such a great discovery, babe…” he says and now the flames are more intense. Marco touches your neck skin with them, and they feel like a million soft kisses, so intense you can’t stop moving. “Mmm you should stay still for this treatment, babe”, he says with a perverse tone. You swallow and look at him with your eyes really opened. “What is he thinking of…?”.

“Let’s go to the bed, for this treatment I need you to be lying there”, he says to you and lifts you up. He carries you on his shoulder, you have no objections. When you get to your room, the king size bed receives your back as Marco slowly casts you. You are curious about his intentions, so you do as he tells. “Wait a sec”, he commands you, and heads to the wardrobe.

After scrutinizing the multiple drawers , he finally turns around and you see some red ropes you once bought for one of your anniversaries, and then simply forgot about them. “Oh”, you say because you are anticipating what’s about to happen… and you love it.

Marco hops on the bed and starts tying your wrists and legs to the bed. Once you're properly restricted, he settles over you and his lips wander along leaning nothing but barely palpable kisses. You want more from his mouth, you are begging for his tongue. Marco smirks at you while placing his lips over yours.

The heat is rising inside you, and you want him to already take you there, but he doesn't. “Babe, please”, you tell him. “Shh darling, we have plenty of time…” he tells you and from his palm the blue flames sprout again. Those flames don't burn your skin, but surely make a fire burn inside you.

He brushes his flaming hands all over your body but even if you try to, he has tied you so well it’s almost impossible to move. The blue source of pleasure traces circles over your nipples, you moan. The tingling sensation runs through your insides as a ray that ends up directly onto your core. Of course, Mikey is very much fond of Draken and Emma, as he is very much fond of his friends whom he considers a family. And of course he needs their support to stay on the right path. But I don't think he can't do things without them. I mean, without Draken, and without Emma, and Baji, and Shinichiro, and all the people he loses, Mikey still manages to carry on with Toman in some timelines, and to become the head of a criminal organization in another timeline, he still manages to do a lot. Even though those things are horrible, they're still things not anyone would be able to do. And I think this is something worth to be considered. I mean, Mikey is not just a sad boy in need of cares. I would rather say he is also that. How can losing people he loves suddenly make him independent? How can this happen when, without them, we have only seen him falling into darkness more and more, so far? Basically, in my opinion, all those deaths can't be explained in that way, all those deaths aren't serving Mikey's character development in a positive sense, I'd say quite the contrary. The whole point of Tokyo Revengers is Mikey becoming the dark version of himself because he had a life of losses and trauma, after all. That's my opinion, anon. And what about you? Favourite side - Surprising absolutely no-one, my favourite side is Virgil! He's probably my favourite character of all time in any show ever tbh. Mostly because I relate to him a lot, but I also just love his attitude and his fashion sense

Opinion of Logan - I love him sm!! He's definitely the kind of brand of character I usually like lol, by which I mean nerdy and tries not to show his emotions. Also i can totally relate to being obsessed with space gjfjhjj

Opinion of Remus - It took me a long time to fully understand Remus. I didn't like him all that much at first, I think he frightened me a bit tbh. I think a big turning point was when I read One Chance to Change Your Fate (which is awesome, anyone who hasn't read it should go and do so) because I really like his characterisation there and it kinda made me reconsider my feelings about canon Remus

So anyway yeah, now I guess I see Remus as just a kid (ik he's 32 but you get what I mean) who lashes out when he feels like no-one's listening to him and people don't understand him. And like. I've been there, so I appreciate him a lot more now

Most heartwarming scene - That moment where Roman says to Virgil "you make us... better" is definitely up there, also a lot of Accepting Anxiety where the other sides are showing they care about Virgil

Special mention to like 90% of Virgil and Logan's interactions because they're literally so supportive of each other (and they're In Love, I won't take constructive criticism on this)

And the bit in the five-year anniversary where Patton, Roman and Logan were saying how much they love Virgil 🥺

Line that stuck with me the most - Ooh, that's a tough one, there's a lot of good lines. I guess Janus' monologue about self-care in svs redux was something I Very Much needed to hear and it's helped me a lot to think about that

Okay yeah this one will be much more speed but this also means I have to narrow it down a lot more,,,

In no particular order:

1. Elle Woods, Legally Blonde. My FAVORITE movie of all time with one of my favorite characters of all time! I love Elle. I love how unapologetically feminine she is, and how she doesn't let herself become devalued because of it. She is so kind and supportive, and she doesn't let the cruelty and harshness of her peers or professors change that about her. She doesn't need to become cruel to succeed; it's her femininity and ability to connect with people that allow her to solve the murder and win the trial at all. Legally Blonde is one of the best feminist movies of all time and it's entirely because of what an incredible protagonist Elle is. She is my HERO.

2. Jo March, Little Women. Amie, I couldn't help but notice that we share a few favorites lmao. I loved the book a look when I was a kid, but honestly the 2019 movie really solidified my adoration of the story and Jo March herself. She's highly relatable to me, struggling with the expectations of being a woman and her relationship with her own womanhood. She's a wonderful character, but I've always personally read her as aromantics because I just relate so hard and some of the things she says. I legit sobbed in the theater during so many points in the movie.

3. Sillabub, Cats. I sure hope this isn't a surprise to anyone, considering my Cats sideblog is named after her. She's such a sweet and cute little girl, and I'm in love with her sense empathy and wonder. She's such a little cherub,,,, I love her design and her role in the story as Grizabella's sympathetic voice, and her seemingly mystical affinity. I think about her all the time and hearing her sing honestly brings me to tears sometimes.

4. Anne Shirley, Anne of Green Gables. Another childhood favorite book! My grandma really loves the entire series, and I remember watching the 1985 movie almost every time I visited. Anne is another character that I just so highly relate to so heavily. She's so imaginative and creative, and she gets so lost in her own thoughts, and she romanticizes her life and the people in it... she means so well, but her absent-minded was gets her in trouble. And deadname is sounds very similar to hers, so my young self was just like "omg this is exactly me!!" She's such an amazingly written character who feels so real and organic, even with she whimsicality. I will NEVER get tired of her shenanigans.

5. Kipo Oak (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) God there is nothing I love more than the power of friendship, and Kipo fucking DELIVERS. This show and it's cast is so heartwarming and Kipo is my favorite. This show just has good vibes of wonder and kindness and adventure, and Kipo encapsulates it all perfectly. I don't have much else to say about her but this is just one of my favorite shows.

6. Jester Lavorre, Critical Role. Laura Bailey is my favorite player and her characters are consistently my favorites, but jester just absolutely takes the cake. Her chaos. Her naivety. Her faith in her friends. Her ability to just bring a smile with every single thing she does...nothing makes me feel better quite like a Jester Lavorre compilation.

7. Sunny, Wings of Fire. Definitely my favorite character out of the entire series. Her insistence on always trying to make friends and foster kindness is just so charming to me, and I really enjoy her struggle of trying to be taken seriously among her friends, since she's constantly underestimated for her small size and very soft heart. She's so resilient with her kindness, and she always leaves people better than she found them.

8. Tohru Honda, Fruits Basket. Another character who's greatest strength is her kindness. Tohru has really been through it, but she refuses to let herself become bitter and cruel, even though she honestly deserves to snap and be a bitch for once so badly. My girl is so selfless and full of love and I think it's awesome how everyone who meets her falls a little bit in love with her, cause like wow me too. She's the most powerful character in all of anime.

9. Wistala, Age of Fire. The last three books in the series were disappointing as hell, but Wistala's book is honestly one of my favorite things to re-read. Her cunning and innovation are really fun to read, and watching her slowly exact revenge for the death of her family so fun and cathartic to read!! I just love everything about her existence. Yes she is a dragon. Yes she is a badass warrior. Yes she is also an intellectual scholar and librarian. I couldn't ask for anything more, she's just really fucking cool.

10. Maya Fey, Ace Attorney. Another I get a lot of joy from just for her existence! Yes the game is about using facts and logic to solve murders in a court of law 💕 Yes the assistant character is a funky spirit medium who can commune with ghosts 💕. She cracks me up and I love her dynamic with Phoenix and everyone else she talks to. She's been through so much shit that she's honestly a tragic character once you think about it, but she is SO much fun!!

Honorable mentions are Kyoko Kirigiri (Danganronpa), Kaede Amamatsu (Danganronpa), Ginger (Chicken Run), Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice), Leslie Knope (Parks & Rec), Harley Quinn (Harley Quinn) and Vex'ahlia (Critical Role).
