23. What do they feel guilty for that the other person(s) doesn’t / don’t even remember?

funny thing about russo and guilt, actually, is that the first time he really felt guilty for something was when he came to after getting injured at the ritual site and saw how badly neve got injured as a result of the call he made. i don't get the sense that neve held that against him, but that guilt lingers for a while, every time that he sees the scar on neve's forehead

32. If they committed one petty crime / misdemeanor, what would it be? Why?

as far as petty crime? trespassing, easy. if he wants to get somewhere and the way there involves cutting across private property, getting caught doing so is not at all a concern to him. it's probably a remnant of the "the crows own treviso" mentality lmao

37. What’s a secret they haven’t told serious romantic partners and don’t plan to tell?

he hasn't had Any serious romantic partners at this point in his life, although that's not quite here nor there. honestly even when he and bellara do get serious, i don't think he'd intend to tell her the origin story behind all of his scars. the ones he got from crow training don't bother him, or at least he doesn't think they do, but he would hesitate to tell her about them in-depth

43. What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?

russo is so, so bad about tough love. i've noticed it more in conversations with davrin wrt assan, but it comes out toward everyone, i think. he sees nothing wrong with being pushed and pressured into Doing Better, and he tends to lean into it whenever he feels is necessary, especially when he feels in over his head in an interpersonal conversation. i think being questioned on that approach more than once will be essential to solidifying his want to get out of the crows. :)

does Elias like to read? any recent favorites?

Elias enjoys reading quite a bit, migraines permitting! Despite everything else, they were taught the basics of reading and writing as a child, and used it to keep themself entertained on their own.

When they were a kid it was mostly books about exploration and travel, places outside of their room. Fantasy, real accounts, mythological, anything about different places or different lands. These books take a lower priority since they've come to the Neath however.

Nowadays Elias enjoys the gothic genre, a fan of the monsters and monsterous. Of course, this also includes the writing of a particular close friend of theirs, though these are read quite privately. Elias is prone to blushing, and they read enough smut for it to be an issue.

Besides that, Elias enjoys reading non-fiction about subjects that interest them. Moths, colours, chemistry, and they have a particul morbid fascination with gorey medical anatomy books. Anything they can get their hands on about Curators as well, though this material is exceptionally difficult to find.

Elias also enjoys reading aloud to friends.

Small ''The Ancient Magus Bride'' thing chapter 99 caused me to wonder: in it, Oberon references Chise's dealings with Morrigan, and names Morrigan as his stepmother; Titania has previously (when helping Elias travel through darkness to reach Chise) referenced possessing a connection to the Morrigan. So I wondered, is there anywhere else a comment or indication how Morrigan relates to the fey royal couple? Thanks in advance, and sorry if I bother!

sorry I took long to reply I had to do research on this LOL

I don't believe there was any prior indication ! yamazakis depiction of titania and oberon seems to be heavily based off Shakespeare's a midsummer nights dream, whereas morrigan is taken from classic Irish mythology. oberon calls morrigan "step-mother", but in japanese calls her "お義母様" (very formal) which can translate to "mother-in-law" as well.

also interesting, though she's called a "goddess", morrigan shares the same four-fingered hands as the rest of the fae folk.

if I were to speak solely on conjecture, I would guess that oberon called her that not because of any direct relationship (fae don't seem to follow the same family structures as humans), but because of their similar nature of being incredibly powerful fae and looking over similar domains (in mahoyome, titania and morrigan are both associated with nighttime, darkness, and fertility)

perhaps morrigan is some type of primeval fae creature, old and powerful and respected enough to be considered god-like even among the fae. kinda like the same way people can be referenced as "the mother/father of [something they helped create]". if that makes sense lol
