I prithee cannot help but wonder, visitors... surely you did not believe yours truly would--nay, could--keep mum about this most unexpected and stellar news?

...Although, perhaps not entirely "unexpected". For you see, it was never a question of "if," my dear visitors. Oh, no! It was ever and always a matter of "when"!

The game developers have dropped many not-so-subtle hints over the last six months that staff cards were very much an eventuality.

And so on and so forth.

A healthy dose of optimism over the years has helped weather the thousand some-odd days of uncertainty and longing.

Call it an inkling; mayhaps a hunch.

Whatever name one might use to best describe a force that compelled me to reserve sixty (60!) SSR perfumes were the unthinkable to happen--if this, my dream and answer to my prayers, were to become reality.

Seven days.

Then the TRUE wait shall commence.

It's actually really nice to see how big the twst fandom got throughout the years. In the beginning, most of everything I saw was in Japanese (understandably) and I got to the end of the tag pretty easily and now it goes on and on. :)

Some characters wouldn't have more than 10 posts and I'd come back to see one extra and that'd be a good day lol. Now I hardly have the time to go through the tags and when I do there are always new people.

i feel so shitty when i realize that i abandoned twst fandom to go post about fragmem but like in my defence i burnt out and i blame book 7 for it. it has been years since it started and it just wont end and all these updates about separate dorms and their dreams are so gimmicky like they could have actually given characters proper character development during their respective books and not now 😭 i always had a problem with books 1-3 for not being fulfilling enough because idk they didnt put proper care into them so like why are they trying to fix their fuck ups with writing of the whole cast in a book that is already emotionally draining because of the characters it focuses on 💀 and now that i think about how they will end it i feel even worse because it will most likely end in that cliché "friendship and teamwork wins all for all" because how will they win over malleus there is no way unless idk they make lilia convince him which would be so underwhelming just please.. and what will they do with malleus' sad black and white backstory flashback chapter because if they will make it just one chapter long after all that long ass shit we went through i might actually sue disney. when they announced book 7 i was so excited i was on cloud nine because i thought that i would get a whole ton of diasomnia/ignyhide content but like thats not the case anymore for months and i really lost motivation

another thing i cant really wrap my head around is events and cards. like okay wow cards how cool but half of the time the quality of the art is kinda shitty ngl. i lack vignettes so much as someone that doesnt care that much about guest room getting furniture out of a card i would not even place is so stupid i am playing this game for the story if i wanted to play designer i could play sims and events i just cant care for events that are not halloween or hometown events the other events just fly under the radar for me

ALSO im so fucking glad that one sanrio anime boy thing, fragaria memories, is multimedia and not some rhythm gacha game bc it would've replaced twst in a heartbeat in my phone, even if some of the designs make me so unreasonably mad

twst anime news~

The first shot we’re seeing of the anime! The above image was released in a Disney Plus JP tweet reminding us that the first season, Episode of Heartslabyul, will air in October 2025.

We have official confirmation that the VAs from the game will be reprising their roles for the anime. For now, this includes the VAs for Heartslabyul, Crowley, and Grim.

Additionally, Disney JP has announced that there will be an Anime Japan presentation by the VAs of Riddle, Leona, Azul, Crewel, and Malleus on March 22nd, a few days after the 5th anniversary, at 3:35 pm (EST). They will be discussing the upcoming anime.

If you aren’t able to tune in yourself, no worries! I plan to summarize the important news when that time comes 🫡

Riddle Rosehearts: CV. Hanae Natsuki I’ve been involved with Twisted Wonderland for a long time, and I’m really looking forward to its animation! I’m excited to see how the fascinating world and characters from the game will be represented in the animated version. Please look forward to the release!

Ace Trappola: CV. Yamashita Seiichiro I believe that in many instances the "animated adaptation" is a major milestone and accomplishment. I became so passionate about the story of the game and it is a wonderful feeling to enjoy it once again, now in animated form.

Deuce Spade: CV. Kobayashi Chiaki The serious model student Deuce, the Deuce who gets mad at Ace, the Deuce who becomes exasperated with Grim, the bad-side Deuce and more, I’m really excited to be able to perform so many different sides of him. I really hope we can will all be able to fully enjoy the world of Twisted Wonderland depicted in this lovingly crafted animation. Let’s dive in and have fun together. I summon thee! Cauldron!

Trey Clover: CV. Suzuki Ryouta Considering how this project was first starting out when I was around 20 years old, the thought of it finally getting its animated adaptation is deeply moving. Congratulations--truly. I’m looking forward to seeing how the world of Twisted Wonderland will be expressed through animation. Night Raven College’s architecture, the dorm uniforms, the magic--there is so much I want to tell everyone to look out for, but the biggest moment is when Trey-senpai calls out "his" name. I wonder if he’ll shout again…? Look forward to it!!

Cater Diamond: CV. Kobayashi Tatsuyuki I’m really looking forward to seeing the scenarios, music, and the moving characters that animation brings. I’ve been working hard at every recording session, hoping to deliver as much of Twisted Wonderland’s charm as I can to the fans who love and support the game.

Dire Crowley: CV. Miyamoto Mitsuru Congratulations on the animation! Yay~~! Crowley is going to move! The fact that it’s being animated means the game must be really fun, right? That makes me even happier. I’m going to do my best so that both fans of the game and those who start with the anime can enjoy it. Please look forward to it!

Grim: CV. Sugiyama Noriaki Twisted Wonderland is finally being made into an anime! I’m filled with deep emotions. For those who’ve enjoyed the game, and even for those who’ll see it for the first time in anime form, I hope there are special elements to enjoy! The rest of the cast and I are working hard to deliver a wonderful animated adaptation. I truly believe it’s going to be a fun and fantastic project, so please look forward to its release! okay I'm going to do brief little thoughts for everyone. my knowledge on among us is limited to the memes from 2020 but I can probably take it from there

➼Ace is so mad every time he doesn't get imposter. and when he does, everyone knows it's him because he gets really cocky about it. keeps trying to get Deuce voted out first by calling him a sussy baka in chat. Riddle asks whoever the imposter is to kill him

➼Deuce is using this experience as a way to refine his critical thinking skills by playing lead detective. gets way too into it. Ace tells him it "isn't that deep" and he gets so mad he quits to yell at him

➼Riddle is killed first and rage quits

➼Cater suggested the game in the first place. always knows who the imposters are first but doesn't share because he wants to draw out the game

➼Trey is AFK. trying to calm down Riddle. he prefers Papa's Pizzeria

➼Leona gets really into it for a solid 10 minutes, is voted out, and then quits

➼Ruggie spends the entire game loudly announcing that he's on the imposter's side and won't turn them in if they tell him who they are. is largely unsuccessful

➼Jack doesn't see the value in a game about being manipulative and dishonest. won't play

➼Azul is LIVING for this. probably the worst imposter to go up against because he is insanely good at strategizing his victory. wins so many times that he's temporarily barred from playing

➼Jade is voted out early on for being suspicious. he's not the imposter, and was covering for Azul. sneaky bastards

➼Floyd is also AFK. got hungry and then forgot he was playing

➼Jamil somehow convinces everyone to vote for Kalim first

➼Kalim isn't even upset about being ejected, and is happily waiting for the next round. continues spamming the chat and following other players around as a ghost

➼Vil is the second casualty. calls the game childish, quits, and then hovers over Epel's shoulder telling him what to do for the rest of the round. plays dress-up flash games to calm down afterwards

➼Epel is just here to attack people. never gets voted for, even when he is the imposter, which drives him mad

➼Rook knows who everyone is already. spends the entire game following people around and openly guessing if they're imposter or not. gets ejected for being suspicious

➼Idia is playing anonymously. wouldn't want to embarrass himself in front of his classmates under his own name, right? always the longest surviving crewmate, wins by completing all the tasks in record time

➼Ortho will occasionally join just to give Idia a real challenge

➼Lilia is running the game and mostly staying out of the way. he would mop the floor with everyone else if he was really trying

➼Sebek hits the emergency meeting button any time anyone gets close to Malleus. is promptly voted out

➼Silver only plays because Lilia insisted he joins the fun. doesn't really understand the point or any of the references everyone is making and stops playing to do homework five minutes in

➼Malleus becomes more interested in hearing you explain the game to him and forgets he's playing entirely. AFK

so we're getting yuuka and the other yuus animated too for the twst anime?? ngl i was hoping they'd use the novel as a basis too but ig it's natural they use the manga as a basis. just hope they execute this properly since i remember how yana and the voice actors weren't aware about this when it was announced.

and hopefully they use the same voice actors as well :< i have high hopes for the anime and knowing new twst fans may know the game through the anime alone I DON'T WANT TWST TO BE RUINED ANY FURTHER

Not gonna lie... Ever since the official announcement of the twst anime, I'm genuinely terrified. Not only because the fandom will grow, but because of the people who will join in. Even if I want us to gatekeep the franchise, it's going to be difficult because it'll be in Disney+. Which means Disney adults will see the anime and watch it in curiosity. As much as I want people to acknowledge and check out the game or anime, the main problem is the gooners. Remember, half of the cast characters are MINORS, and it's most likely they will simp over them.

For all I know, once the anime is out, things are going to get really messy. With mischaracterization, over sexualized towards characters, especially minor characters, and shipping wars already happening in the fandom, it might get worse.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid. But who knows what will happen? Let's all be prepared once the time comes...

So do clubs exist in your TWST au? I can imagine clubs like the board game club and track club existing but I feel others wouldn’t exist, as in canon there’s an equestrian club which Riddle, Silver and Sebek are in, but in the au I find it hard to imagine a centaur riding a horse 😂so are the three in different clubs or is there a new club to replace it? Or maybe instead of the horses doing the obstacles the centaurs/people do them themselves as some sort of obstacle course?

Also is Malleus still hyper-fixated on gargoyles in the au?

Some clubs still exist, others don't (the Equestrian club is no more, -taurs attempting to ride horses would be awkward for many reasons). Malleus is still obsessed with his Gargoyles and tolerates the Grotesques, having found the Human under one of his Gargoyles on a short visit to see them again. He wants to show the Human all the Gargoyles and tell their story.

The Culinary Club is going to be making an appearance soon enough once the Human settles enough to start it. Crowley already anticipates several students signing up quickly once he announces that the Human will be club leader.

also, the fact that the new card is Vil is so random ?? they could've easily given the card to Kalim (aka the one who was in the event with no new card, no new sprite and no personal story) and have it make a little more sense than just spinning a wheel and letting it go to whatever random character it lands on with no context. not to mention the fact that Vil has already had 3 new event cards, 2 of which have only furniture, and adding this card to that pile is so lazy. like clearly it's a cash grab, but it's the laziest and honestly most insulting way they went about this since there's way more people willing to drop some cash on a card that actually has something of value other than being pretty. it doesn't help that the new groovies have been hit or miss / are straight up boring and not even worth it in that sense.

twst has been so irritating with new cards having furniture instead of personal stories. there's absolutely no reason for Vil's new SSR card to have just furniture lmao. they could've easily waited a bit to just write a personal story OR just hold off completely to 'remix' or have a part 2 to the event if they really wanted new cards / event content after they released the new Diasomnia chapter, but for some reason decided to have 6 banners in the span of one month.

Hey!! It has been a long time since I've actually spoken and I continue getting questions about me and if I'll be coming back. Long story very very short! Yes!!

I've been focusing a lot of my attention on writing my book and coding my game, but I do want to get back to writing X Readers cause I do genuinely enjoy it.

WILL I WRITE FOR TWST AGAIN?

Eventually yes!! I'll have to re-learn the characters and catch up on the game, but I do want to resume writing and finish any old requests and comms, that I have written whenever I have free time. (When I find time, I will reach out to those with comms, life has been very busy, but very good.)

I absolutely love this account, despite my disappearance, I will return. Hopefully next year, I can post some fics I have!!
