LOG 84
Six. Six of the cats, from four different groups, just... met at Druid's Hollow and then left the forest. I'll be following them in my car, Anita will keep you all updated on the situation in the forest if it takes more than 24h before the cats come back.
wtf wtf wtf never have i ever seen a whole group of cats just leaving. are they going to settle somewhere else? but why these six?? it's not like they were sampling from each clan to avoid incest (if there even was a way for wild cats to realize the genetic risks and construct a protocol to avoid it) because five out of six have Thunderclan relatives just going up 1 (one) generation

Kinda hate that a bunch of randos ruined that one warrior cats outsider human POV blog by trying to break immersion and canon compliance with things the human should not be able to know until they had to close the askbox it was getting so bad and it derailed the whole purpose of the damn blog like 20+ posts in a row is asshole anons who cant take a hint that the roleplayer didnt want to play like that and accept help from anons not playing in-universe.
Like see this is why we cant have nice things like a in-universe-canon post-a-day hybrid roleplay-fic without a whole rules of engagement page pinned to the top breaking immersion. The second it got popular people started ruining it.
Honestly the second the blog started getting anons they should have pinned a 'This is a roleplay/fanfic hybrid blog. Asks and reblogs not playing within the confines of in-universe-perspective will be deleted or blocked. Things like 'wow I heard something about weird cats in my city with dog teeth collars' is fine, things like 'this is the real name of x watch out for y coming in the future' is not'. This blog is firmly in-character, do not ruin it for everyone.' tbh because we all know people on tumblr have no reading comprehension, but it also not their fault people dont want to let things be.
I would not have NEARLY been so kind as the blogger, serious kudos to them on not breaking character once to tell the anons to go fuck themselves and stop ruining the psuedo-fanfic with their unwanted derailment fixit fic.

My Changing Skies Predictions : D
Leafstar going blind will be treated as a fate worse than death.
Squirrelstar will be constantly mocked by the narrative and characters alike. Thunderclan will lament that Bramblestar was a much better leader.
While making reasonable decisions, Skyclan treats Leafstar like Squirrelflight was treated as interim leader during TBC.
Moonpaw is a Nightsun baby. She'll get along with and admire Nightheart, but resent and have a difficult relationship with Sunbeam.
Events from past arcs will be brought up in an attempt by the Erin Hunter Collective to show that they totally know their stuff. All of these callbacks will be entirely superficial.
Tigerheartstar's characterisation will change on a whim.
Windclan won't get to do anything. Whistlepaw is mentioned exactly once.
At some point the narrative makes it clear that the writers think Tawnypelt joined Shadowclan after Tigerstar died.
At least one of the three POV characters has barely any plot material. Despite this, they still get equal screen time with the other two characters.
Moonpaw is a medicine cat apprentice. She struggles with horrific things happening to her constantly, and a connection she once thought was to Starclan turns out to be to something much darker. She ends up ostracised because everyone around her doesn't believe her for arbritary reasons.
Starclan do terrible things. One of the morals of the arc is that Starclan is still the most important part of Clan life.
The only thing that is destroyed by Twolegs is the Moonpool. They find a new one (with Tawnypelt or Leafstar sacrificing their lives so it can be found). This restores the status quo.
One of the Erin Hunters declares that they believe wholeheartedly in Starclan and have decided to found the first IRL Moonstone.

once moorsnow got over her kittypet/twoleg hate did she just kinda look at snom go “…oh this child needs mothering actually” and emotionally adopt him or what is their relationship like?
Since Snom was basically an adult/older teen when they met they're more like friends than parent child, but they def talk almost daily and eat lunch together and stuff (along with Droplet).
They're the only two (aside from Cedar slightly) who have been directly "abused" by humans (Moor from getting trapped and fixed - only abuse from her pov - and Snom from actually having terrible owners), so they have heavily bonded over that. When Cedar disappeared and it made Snom relive his worse memories Moor kinda mentored and helped him through it and vis versa, comforting him made her feel stronger. They're comfortable with each other!
I think a tiny part of Moor wishes Droplet and Snom would get together now but she isn't gonna express it or pressure them, she just knows he'd treat her daughter right :'3

Okay - about the Moldy House.
Cricket and Co don’t live in the abandoned house anymore as they have guessed what was making them ill was something to do with the house.
They don’t currently have a permanent residence, but Cricket hangs around twolegplace mainly cause that’s the usual meeting spot (he also still wants Fernfreckle to think he lives in twolegplace)
This will come up again later in the comic - some cat Will talk about the house and you'll see why it was plot relevant for them to live there.
The scenes with the stone wall in the bg all take place in the garden of the abandoned house
This may have been confusing, cause we only get glimpses into the Ice family’s group (we don’t have any POV characters in there…. Yet.) so it’s all happened in the bg.
Basically Cricket befriends Fernfreckle (Moon 193 Part 11) after offering to help him with his plans.
Tumblr media
Fernfreckle is seen missing from camp (meeting up with Cricket) occasionally (Seen Moon 194)
Tumblr media
Around Moon 196 (off screen) Fernfreckle suggests that Cricket and co move into twolegplace, as it could be safer. Cricket, just wanting to get on Fernfreckle’s good side, agrees, and moves his siblings and himself into an abandoned twoleg nest.
(They tend to move from place to place anyway, not really having a specific home, so that’s why they agreed to easily.)
Moon 198 - Cricket and co are very ill, cause the abandoned house is MOLDY! It’s also mentioned on Moon 198 Part 4 that Fernfreckle visits every day. (Or did - before he got an apprentice.)
Tumblr media
On Moon 198 Part 5 it’s revealed Fernfreckle has been talking to his StarClan friends less because he’s been training with a friend outside the Clans who he convinced to live in twolegplace. Obviously this is Cricket. Fernfreckle is not aware of Cricket’s….. shenanigans (yet).
In his and Cricket’s meetings they typically talk about Fernfreckle’s goals of making VaporClan safer (which Cricket couldn’t give less of a shit about honestly) and some battle training here and there.
Tumblr media
Fernfreckle still wants to find Lilacpaw’s killer (and maul them) - but doesn’t suspect Cricket at all yet, as Cricket tends to put on a nice guy persona around him + other VaporClan cats. (As seen in the pages with Sorrelpaw)
Cricket is a nosy bastard and is paranoid about VaporClan finding out what he’s done and plotting against him - having friends in VaporClan will allow him to know exactly what’s going on at all times.
We don’t see Cricket and co again until Moon 202 Part 2 - where they’re walking through a forest. They’ve left the house by now, and Cricket (before he’s cut off by Sofrito) is saying something about “having a talk with him later” and “finding a permanent-“ (the cut off word is residence).
Tumblr media
The cat he’s talking about here is Fernfreckle + he wants to have a word with him about the twolegplace. He didn’t get the chance next time they saw eachother, as Ferny boy brought over some unexpected guests!
Tumblr media
Serpentfin has also never visited Cricket - but Cricket knows of him as Fernfreckle talks about him a lot. Serpentfin trusts Fernfreckle wholeheartedly.
The next time we see these guys, we see Twig sleeping in a den in the forest.

[Previous: Beastpaw’s prophecy]
Tumblr media
Kittypet 🐈
Yuu/[Reader] POV
“Morning!” I meowed happily as my twoleg’s pat my head. I purred and leaned into her touch as their giant hand caressed my head and stroked me down to my back. Looking up at her, I walked a few paw steps behind her as she made her way to the back door and opened it and let me outside. I bounded out and into the yard, happy to feel the soft grass underneath my paws.
My twoleg went back inside, closing the screen door behind them.
I padded over to my usual sunning spot and I layed in the grass, letting the sun warm my fur. I let out a satisfied sigh as I rested my eyes for a bit. ‘such a nice day for a nap…’ I thought to myself as I slowly drifted off.
“CAW!”
I jolted awake, and immediately stood back up when I saw a crow right in front of my face. I leaned away from it as I got even closer to me. “What the…” I muttered as my muzzle scrunched up in confusion. I looked at the black bird in suspicion, it had this weird look in its eyes. Like it wanted something from me. I kept backing away from the bird as it hopped towards me. I didn’t want this thing near me, it gave me the creeps.
I hissed defensively and swatted at the crow, making it jump back. “Hmpf!” My fur puffed up in pride as I successfully warded off the crow. “Not so tough are ya?“ I said mockingly, my muzzle curled up in a smirk. I continued to pounce at the crow making it jump away but it didn’t fly away. Caught up in the chase, I continued to pounce and swat at the crow, not noticing that it had leaded me out of the yard and into the street.
“Hya!” I meowed loudly as I pinned the crow down to the road. “Caught you!” I said happily, my tail raising. I looked down at the crow and noticed that it wasn’t even struggling or anything. It just looked up at me with that same blank creepy stare.
My brow furrowed as I looked down at it worriedly. I got off it but it didn’t get up. “Umm… you can fly away now…” I said as I nudged it with my paw trying to make it get up. It just laid there.
“Ahh…gee…” I muttered concerned, my ears flattened against my head as I looked down at the maybe dead bird. ‘my twoleg doesn’t like me killing these things…’ I thought to myself as I looked around. ‘But…she’s not here…she’ll never know!’ I began to slowly back away but then the bird began to move again. And it flew towards me!?
“Agh!” I hissed as the crow began to attack me. I squinted as there was a flurry of feathers and claws in my face. I blindly swiped around trying to get the crow away from me. I was so caught up in the moment that I didn’t notice the slight rumble in the ground getting closer.
The sound of the monster got even closer, it was quickly approaching. I panted as the crow finally flew away. I huffed and shook out my fur, finally able to open my eyes. And I-

I had no idea that people hated CrowFeather so much until I got tumblr. I just finished his Super Edition and I thought it was pretty good
Tumblr did make me realize that NightCloud actually isn’t evil though along with the end of CrowFeathers Trial. I think NightCloud should get maybe a novella, her talking about her feelings when she was stuck in the twoleg house and how it felt to finally be wanted was so sad and interesting she would make a good POV

Thoughts on the new arc + blurb:
Leafstar - I like the idea of seeing through the eyes of a leader who is failing physically and possibly mentally. I want to see the first leader of modern SkyClan pass on and feel as if she's finally done her job in ensuring her Clan's place in the world. I don't want Hawkwing to lead after her, tbh, he's old by now and hasn't done much of anything - I'd like to see a slightly younger, more interesting cat take over after Leafstar
Tawnypelt - I REALLY like the idea of being in her shoes again. The Erins make no bones about their Arc 2 favoritism so it was inevitable that they'd revisit the two Arc 2 characters that haven't gotten much spotlight (and didn't get PoVs in Arc 2 at all). Tawnypelt and Crowfeather going on another journey together sounds like it'll be a good, nostalgic time, and I'm here for Tawnypelt taking matters into her own hands again when her Clan ignores her. Pretty sure she's not making it through this arc, either, tbh. Doubts on Crowfeather, too
Moonpaw - I don't know anything about this one! Guessing she's a Night/Sun kit, but I saw a theory floated that she might be a personification of the Moonpool, which is being threatened by Twolegs? That's an interesting theory, but I'm not holding out hope for it lol. Sounds like she's set up to be another medicine cat/StarClan connection, which is typical of the series. Other than that, there's not much to go off of!
Twoleg threat - While I'm kind of excited to see a less metaphysical threat to the Clans this time around, I'm not buying the idea that we're moving away from the lake in this series. There would be some precedent for it if the Moonpool IS destroyed and the Clans are forced to find StarClan again, but I don't know, the lake seems very much like a permanent fixture, but the Erins have developed the location so pitifully these past eight arcs that sending us off to a new poorly developed location would be disappointing. I'm always happy to be wrong, though - we've been here eight arcs, and that might've been about four arcs too long lol
StarClan - We've spent the past three arcs looking into the Clan's relationship with StarClan and how rocky it's becoming. The concept is wearing a little thin. Either we scrap StarClan entirely or we restore the connection this arc and move on, imo. Personally, I do like the idea of StarClan existing in the story, I just wish they weren't so contradictory about how it worked or how much of an influence it can have, which is where I think a lot of frustration with it comes from.
As always, I want the arc to work, to be good, to try new things, and to go to new places (figuratively and literally, sure). I also, as always, kind of want it to be the last one, lol - at least, the last one with this present cast of characters. If Warriors has to keep going, let it start fresh somewhere in the future! But that's just a dream at this point I think.
idk. I'm still here for whatever is in store.

LOG 79
I just saw a relay race with cats instead of runners and dogs instead of the stick.
Rustyheart was the last one, and the dogs from the sawmill were right behind him. Then, who arrives? TIGERSTAR WITH A STEEL CHAIR! Come on dude! Aren't you tired of being evil? Don't you want to go chillax??
Anyway Bluestar arrived too and fell down the cliffs with Rustyheart and the dogs.
Stonefur and Mistyfoot helped Rustyheart and Bluestar get on the shore (I suppose, because the trailcams blurred awfully for a minute when Bluestar was in the water).
Will update you on the situation.

I know I shouldn't be caught off guard by this, but it feels like it takes effort to give so little development to the (should-be) prominent female characters in this book
I know I am listening to this book really fast, but I didn't even register when Onewhisker and Smoke became romantically involved. And if Darktail is going to be treated as like...a climactic moment in Onestar's life journey, surely Smoke should be....more then this?? like this is the cat apparently determined and spiteful enough to shape Darktail in some kind of assassin on a life long revenge quest that he holds onto his entire decently-long life. But she's just like...nice and doting, and then says one harsh vague-threat and exits the book.
And I can not tell you a single thing about Whitetail. She is just there. She is there beside Onewhisker so much, and I can't tell you a single thing about her personality other then "likes Onewhisker." Is she more Nothing then the average one-book love interest or am I imagining things? like usually there is at least more dramatic cheesy lines to insist on the pov characters undying love but there's barely even that, but I just straight up do not buy that Onewhisker is particularly Into either of these she-cats
Ashfoot also feels like someone who should be More of a person, especially since they insisted on all those childhood chapters. She's his sister and his first and longest deputy but they have no particular relationship dynamic... She had a speck of characterization as an apprentice when she was the only one who refused to sneak into twoleg place with the others, I guess that bodes for Onewhisker later describing her as "sensible." but after that one moment, she is briefly mentioned mourning for crowpaw and then ignored until she becomes his deputy. And you could forget they are siblings at all with how they talk to each other. She could be any background warrior. It's just. man why are you so disinterested in your new she-cat cast ("new cast" as in the first book where they ought to be important to the POV protag, where they should become actual characters rather then names on an allegiance list)

Speckletail's Bulldozer
[Wherein Speckletail gets a much cooler death]
The elders simply being left behind in TNP doesn't sit right with me. Add this with my quest to eliminate as many unceremonious offscreen deaths as possible, and we're going to get extra scenes of (hopefully) memorable battles and incidents.
Speckletail is getting a sendoff in early TNP with a real bang.
(also; most of the scenes I write will likely look like this! As I’ve mentioned, I can’t focus long enough to write full prose. I hope you guys enjoy this format though)
Scene notes
-Before the incident, there is a gentle moment where Speckletail is watching Whitepaw, commenting on how much she's grown
-She looks a lot like Snowkit
-Speckle also notices that Sorreltail and Brackenfur are fond of each other
-Sitting next to Goldenflower and Thornclaw, she mentions how much family she's surrounded by. If only Bramble and Tawny were here.
-Thornclaw: "meemaw do you hear boss music?”
-Cloudtail and his patrol come crashing into camp, shouting that they have to leave NOW, a monster has veered off the Thunderpath and is eating the trees
-CHAOS, the cats are scrambling, screaming, trying to gather up the terrified kits and sick elders. It dawns on Speckletail that there’s no time to run.
-”Thornclaw! To me!“
-Speckle and her grandson bolt out of the camp towards the crashing noises, Thornclaw tries to shout something but she can’t hear him over the roar
-The monster is unlike any she’s ever seen before. It’s a golden monstrosity, larger than life, reeking like death, with a single massive, extended paw that leaves a smooth slug-trail of destruction in its wake. A twoleg is sitting on top of its back.
-Speckletail realizes it’s another type of horrible dog. A twoleg’s bloodthirsty pet, just like the ones they let loose on the forest, just like the one that killed one grandchild and mauled another
-She screeches and barrels towards it, Thornclaw hot on her heels. They leap onto the thick fold of skin stretched over its crawling legs, and leap again at the twoleg riding the beast
-Muffled sounds of Speckletail violence
-As Speckletail earns the PG-13 rating in the foreground, Thornclaw is looking at all the buttons and contraptions, not understanding how it tells the monster where to go. He pushes a big lever with a CLUNK
-The monster reverses course, reeling on its legs, heading right for the old river ravine
-The twoleg yanks Speckletail off, leaping out of the monster and tumbling to safety
-It’s going to go down
-Planting her claws on the seat, turning her back on Thornclaw, she smashes him with a fierce back-paw buck. He’s kicked clean out of the doomed beast
-Thornclaw lands hard on the ground, bruised but safe, rising just in time to see Speckletail’s proud expression, pulled down as the golden monster lurches to the side and crashes down the ravine.
-Thornclaw remembers this death as the bravest thing a warrior has ever done.
-When ThunderClan retrieves her body later, her fur is slicked with the prismatic blood of the monster.
-One person tries to lick her clean (probably Brightheart), but gives up as the foul liquid immediately makes them wretch, spitting the liquid out.
-Mothwing, now a POV character training in ThunderClan because of Mudfur’s early death, remembers this. Especially how Brightheart feels sick a few minutes later.
-Cinderpelt remarks that her fur shines like a rainbow, wonders if that’s what StarClan makes them out of.
-The Clan agrees that to be buried in the blood of such a fierce foe is what she would have wanted. They simply smooth her fur out with their paws, forgoing the usual herbs so she can carry the smell of a vanquished monster to StarClan.
-Whitepaw, terrified, grief-stricken, and looking for comfort, suggests that maybe the twolegs will leave them alone now
-Unfortunately, this is what prompts the twolegs to bring in the cat-catchers. ThunderClan sees it as them trying to take revenge for killing their monster.
-BloodClan will probably explain that the twolegs think they’re acting with kindness, but it doesn’t really matter to the Clan cats that there’s a difference between exterminators and animal rehabbers.

OLD GROWTH AU
An AU where the first six arcs are all shuffled around! I wanted to see how long I could keep the Clans in the Old Forest, and play around with a different order for the arcs while still keeping the core plot points and storylines intact. I had some help from @wsoupofpain , and I am super down to talk about this AU at any time!
The Broken Code
POVs: Spottedleaf and Redtail
Thistleclaw, after being killed by Rosetail for grooming Spottedpaw, is accepted into StarClan. He begins planting false signs and eventually possesses Raggedstar, encouraging the Clans to punish and exile codebreakers. The Clans must come together to defeat him.
Brokentail kills his father, Raggedstar, ousting Thistleclaw from his body. Redtail then kills Thistleclaw’s spirit after Spottedleaf utilizes death berries to bring her brother’s spirit out of his body. Redtail becomes deputy.
Culture changes to be more about working together, and encourages treating the Code as being up to interpretation.
The Prophecies Begin
POV: Firestar
Tigerclaw attempts to take over ThunderClan, and eventually the whole forest. Firestar works to stop him, stopping Brokenstar and saving WindClan in the process. Eventually, the Forest Clans must defeat BloodClan, a ruthless group from the Twolegplace.
Culture changes to be more inclusive in WindClan and ThunderClan; ShadowClan and RiverClan are reeling from their support of Tigerstar.
A Vision of Shadows
B1: POV Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw. Squirrelpaw is sent on a journey to rebuild SkyClan. Brambleclaw tags along, and they successfully re-establish SkyClan, saving Petalnose from her Twoleg. In the Forest, something seems to be wrong with ShadowClan…
B2: POV Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt. In SkyCan, the journeying cats must help the new Clan fight invading rats to ensure that SkyClan can survive. In the Forest, Tawnypelt details the worsening condition of ShadowClan under Kin rule, including its eventual dissolution. Some of the remaining ShadowClan cats take refuge in ThunderClan, but many remain with the Kin, and a few simply vanish altogether.
B3: POV Feathertail and Squirrelflight. The Clans band together to drive the Kin from ShadowClan. In the chaos, Tallstar and Deadfoot are killed, leaving WindClan leaderless. The remainder of the Kin retreat to Highstones.
B4: POV Crowfoot and Leaffall. WindClan goes through a Civil War, caused by Tallstar and Deadfoot’s deaths. Before Tallstar’s death, Deadfoot had considered retiring and Tallstar had publicly planned to make Mudclaw deputy. However, Barkface finds a sign of a single slash mark and believes it to indicate that Onewhisker has been chosen by StarClan. However, the Clan cats are unable to reach the Moonstone. The two sides clash, and StarClan smites Mudclaw to end the conflict. The Kin leave Highstones soon after, allowing Onestar to become WindClan’s leader. His first act is to isolate the Clan.
B5: POV Tawnypelt and Brambleclaw. Tawnypelt goes on a little journey to retrieve cats who fled ShadowClan during the Kin takeover, helping to re-establish the Clan. Feathertail comes with her and joins ShadowClan because they are in love. ThunderClan grapples with a yellow cough outbreak. The Clans argue internally about how much they are obligated to help their neighbors when struggling themselves. With all the Clans preoccupied with their own difficulties, the Kin easily take over RiverClan.
B6: POV Squirrelflight and Leaffall. The Clans begin planning the attack that will drive the Kin from RiverClan. Leaffall and Crowfoot leave and return; Cinderpelt dies in the battle; Onestar and Darktail fall over the side of the Gorge while fighting each other, but Onestar is grabbed by Leaffall and Crowfoot, who in turn are grabbed by their families, such that there is a huge group keeping Onestar from going over the edge. With Darktail dead, the remaining Kin members flee the territories for good.
Power of Three
POVs: Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Hollyleaf
The Three are born and Jayfeather and Lionblaze grow into their powers. Hollyleaf is revealed to not be one of the three. Hollyleaf reveals their parentage and kills Ashfur, then flees the territories.
Instead of visiting the Tribe, they visit SkyClan.
The Dark Forest begins recruiting, starting off with cats like Lionblaze and Hawkfrost who have familial connections to the Dark Forest.
The New Prophecy
POVs: Dovepaw and Ivypaw
Journey Crew: Lionblaze and Dovepaw; Heathertail; Goldenheart (Tigerheart); Stormfur and his apprentice, Rainpaw. They swing by SkyClan and Harrybrook joins them; on the return trip they go through the Tribe.
SkyClan joins the Clans on the Great Journey, and live with them at the Lake, taking their canon territory.
Dark Forest trainees are able to recruit other cats on the Great Journey, when the Clans are not in communication with StarClan or the Dark Forest. Ivypaw is the POV where we see this in action.
The Moonpool is “discovered” by Jayfeather via time travel.
The WindClan Coup is replaced by the RiverClan Succession Crisis. After Leopardstar dies, Mistyfoot takes control of RiverClan despite not being able to go and get her nine lives. She chooses Hawkfrost as her deputy. After Jayfeather discovers the Moonpool, Dovewing is sent to RiverClan to share the news. While speaking with Mothwing, she hears Hawkfrost trap Mistyfoot in a fox trap, and runs off to help. Mothwing follows, and the two of them arrive in time to save Mistyfoot, although Hawkfrost is killed by Mothwing in the struggle.
The RiverClan Succession Crisis occurs during the last book of the series; the various problems the Clans encounter while settling in are shuffled to be earlier.
Omen of the Stars
POVs: Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing, and Ivypool
Relatively unchanged other than most characters being older, and SkyClan being present at the Lake. The Clans must fight against the Dark Forest and their supporters.
Hollyleaf returns with a variety of Clan cats that left the Clans at one point or another, including some SkyClan warriors who chose to remain at the Gorge, some Kin members who want to join or rejoin their Clans, and some other rogues or loners who are interested in the Clan lifestyle. These additional numbers help to make a difference during the battle against the Dark Forest.
Culture changes to be a bit more open to outsiders, including a formal method for joining (or changing) a Clan. Collaboration between Clans is much more common.
