Doing this post to explain what lots of people missed on the Cait x Maddie thing and are just angry and freaking out about the character and not understanding WHY and also show that they already broke up and will not be danger on act 3 (srly I really believe on this and feel like we all missed because is a small scene).

So here is a explanation on WHY, because I'm going crazy that you'll missed lots of things.

Some of the explanation that I'll put here we got from Amanda Overton itself (you know, one of the writers of the show) on the epi4 watchalong party (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgpWJl1NuTE) the rest is showed on the episode 4 itself so here we go (Also SPOILERS FOR ACT2 here):

First, Amanda told us that the time skip from Act 1 to Act 2 is between 3 and 6 months, is not bigger than that like some you are saying. What is very helpful to know that Cait x Maddie affair also isn't happening for so long and we get this information from Ambessa herself when meeting them on Cait's office:

Caitlyn didn't rebound imediatly after the breakup, her thing with Maddie is recent, a few weeks at maximum or one or two night stands. Yes guys, you can stop being mad thinking that she fucking Maddie for months.

Also a important piece of information that again, Amanda shared, is Caitlyn's mentality about this relationship:

She is not after Maddie because she felt for another person, Caitlyn is struggling to live up to the ghost of Cassandra, she is trying to be the daughter she never was and this affect's even who she dates.

Amanda literally told that in Cait's mind she is thinking: "What if I dated someone my mom would approve of?"

Lot's of people think that Cassandra approved Vi because of the council scene but in Caitlyn's mind that's not the truth. Maddie is someone who would be approved, she is from piltover, probably has some family name and has a good job.

With all that, why a sex scene ? Well is very clear that Caitlyn is not able to be vulnerable anymore, the only one she let's under her wall's after her mom's death is Vi and it was already hinted that for Caitlyn's flirting with woman casually was a natural thing.

The only way for her to "date" someone without being able to be vulnerable, is by the thing she knows she can separate her feelings and don't need to be vulnerable to do it: sex. And we can in this case considerate that sex is also a way for her to cope with all like Vi does with alcohol.

Also even after having sex with Maddie, Cait clearly don't want the girl touching her and this is show not only by her expressions:

But also on the way both are dressed, Caitlyn's is untouched and clothed while Maddie is basically naked under her shirt and messy, giving a subtext of Cait being a top on this encounter so she can evade Maddie's touch.

And right after the scene we can see that Maddie herself KNOWS that Cait is evading her and not wanting to be touched, she KNOWS something is wrong and that Cait seems to not listen to her.

Other information that is given by Amanda, is that Ambessa is supposed to be the devil on Caitlyn's shoulder while Maddie is to make the position of a angel. The character exists to show that Caitlyn wasn't alone against Ambessa manipulation and make clear that she has some foot herself to be able to see what is right and wrong and later realize her wrong doings and fix that.

And now comes the part I feel like most people missed and are worried about in act3.

Maddie and Cait already ended their relationship, how I know? the statue scene:

Here we can see again Maddie looking up for Cait but Cait not acknowledging the girl existence until last minute when seems like Maddie told something.

Caitlyn's expression again is cold and then we can see Maddie's:

She is thinking and ready to cry and also show some hurt. She probably is ending things with Cait because the next time we see Cait. Is from Maddies eyes, something that fortiche does a lot and did on that very famous CaitVi bed scene. And this time is done again but we are looking at Caitlyn from Maddie's eyes:

The upper and low corner's are blurry, as if Maddie is almost crying. Also we can see Cait looking the ground and thinking on the next frames, as if reacting to something said to her.

And here is their breakup.

Yes is not a spoken scene, but considering how small her relationship is to Caitlyn, makes sense for things to end and Cait not really give much thought about it.

After that we NEVER see Maddie anymore, she is not on the side of Caitlyn for the rest of the act, and also Cait is always using her Commander cape after this scene, what makes clear: She is totally on the side of Ambessa, the devil won and the angel left.

And this cape is another thing that is used to reflect Caitlyn's mental state and choices, because we only see her back to her uniform without the cape, when she decided to ally with Vi by the end of the Act 2

I understand people who got annoyed by having "another one" in the middle of CaitVi ship and yes I know everybody worry about this making messy their reunion, but I feel like most people forgot that in Arcane, and on this season mainly, lots of things are being show by the art and animation and not by text, like the statue one.

Srly guys CaitVi will be alright, Maddie is not a horrible characters and this was not a bad choice to show Caitlyn mental state and character development. I understand being bitter with the angst but also let ourselves enjoy it a little.

Weekly Progress Report - February 3rd - 9th

I rather naively planned on spending a single day writing the NSFW scene for the Heretic route. Then it went from being 2,500 words to 7,000 because of all the pedantry. I love how it played out and I'm really satisfied with the scene. It was pretty painful to provide an alternate route without it, both because it was so solid and because it was kinda sad going back to the regular character dynamic after writing these raw moments of carnal understanding between the characters. As I mentioned previously, if you do go the NSFW route on Night IV, your night will go down a different branch with completely different scenes. The full route is around 13,000 words, so it makes for a very meaty episode.

The Zealot night and the non-NSFW Heretic night will be around 8,000 words each. I'm going to have the alternate Heretic night tied up tonight, then I'll be editing it. It will definitely be ready and uploaded on the 14th (possibly even the 13th), but the Zealot route may take another day or two depending on how long I spend on editing. I'm going to have to really pore over the Heretic route, as there's nothing quite so awful as being deeply immersed in an intimate scene only to stumble across a typo or an error. I'll keep you posted.

I'm almost ready to launch the Patreon. Rather than putting the NSFW content (Bound/Unbound modes) on Patreon I've decided to make a version with additional tendencies that offer unique romance/intimacy options, as well as early access to new nights. This will allow patrons to tailor a story and MC that's more to their liking, without taking content away from free readers. The first of the new tendencies are already established in the Night IV supporter edition. They're "coy" and "assertive" and you'll be able to flex them within NSFW scenes and romantic dialogue. This month, patrons will be able to vote on a new tendency for Night V, as well as which existing tendencies they'd like to see more of. Once we hit the Week One mark, I will be revising the entire week to add in the tendencies patrons have voted on, giving you new options from the prologue onward.

I'll be launching the Patreon this weekend once the Zealot route is finalized and uploaded to Itch. As soon as it's ready, I'll be sending out gifted months to everyone who has supported on Ko-Fi. Special thanks to UnknownOblivion for last week's ko-fi! I'm grateful to everyone who's supported the story, be it on Ko-fi or just leaving feedback as I get the hang of adapting my story and characters into an interactive format. It's been such a freaking joy to share them with other humans. I'll be checking in daily this week to let you know how Night IV is progressing. It's my favorite night yet. Granted, that's probably because I've been dying to get to the NSFW, idk. I just think all RO's are better once they've gotten a taste of the MC.

Here you go guys. Crazy how much wanted it. Fanfiction story right after she sang 'Santa Jamie' teasingly. It's long. It's sometimes funny and...damn It's freaking wild and hot. (And it's fiction😉 so enjoy)

!Warning!: 18+ SC teasing each other. Cait does a wee bit more than just...having fun🤫🔥

"~so hurry down the chimney tonight~ Cait suppressed a laugh.

"Ho-Ho-Ho" The Scotsman closed the book with a grin.

Sam stared at her. It was a long, deep look. His eyes were already doing what Cait asked, indirectly and in complete secret, just the two of them. Everything around them was suddenly quiet, even though people were bustling around preparing the next scene for the two of them. She swallowed hard and didn't move an inch, while in his mind he had already undressed her and shown what a good girl she was.

"...a...C..t......." Words tried to reach her, but they were so muffled, as if a flash grenade had exploded next to her. It was the blood that first shot out of her face, straight into her middle, that gave her goosebumps, purely out of pure desire. He did it all the time, but not on set and certainly not minutes before a scene. "Caitriona!" it rang out in her ear and she jerked her head in the direction from where the words came. It was her make-up artist, who wanted to do a few last things to her hair. Sam looked after her for a few seconds and then focused on the book again. "Everything OK?" asked the make-up artist Balfe, but she just smiled dully and tried not to let it show that she had just mentally had sex with her co-star, who was sitting just 2 meters away from her. Without realizing it, she started to sweat. "Cait, if you're not feeling well, let me know, remember, forcing yourself to do something can only prolong the production in the long run," said the artist as she fiddled with her, but she just shook her head. The Irish woman took a deep breath, closed her eyes and mentally went over her lines again. In vain. The damned Scotsman kept getting into her head. If she doesn't pull herself together immediately, there could be trouble from the producer. The fact that neither of them had slept together for a week didn't make it any easier. Why did she have to sing that stupid song? Too much work on the set and physical withdrawal made her weak and Sam is always one to jump on these little games.

"Let's go, guys! The set is ready!" It was the scenes from season 5, episode 11, in which Jamie is lying in bed with a book and Claire is putting on perfume to seduce him. The first dialogues were still OK, but this time it wasn't her laughter that made her mess up the scenes like usual, no, it was her looks. They were too real, they were long, lascivious looks, different to how the producer had planned to shoot. Sam was, as always, fully in character and he knew what he had done. "CUT!" The producer went quickly to her and looked at her neutrally. "Is everything OK?" For God's sake, no! There he is, her husband in full Jamie outfit, lying on a bed and her? only in a nightgown. If she could, she would jump on him, without a script. No, everything is not damned OK! At least that's what she thought and just nodded silently. "Yeah, I'm just a bit...tired" she paused briefly when she heard Sam clear his throat and cursed him for his small but extremely cheeky insinuations. He looked at her and smiled absolutely innocently. Cait looked over the producer's shoulder at him and the heat rose in her face. He will pay for this, even if it's too late today after filming! She sat down again and took a deep breath, this time with an exasperated hum in her voice. "Okay, let's go," she said briefly and was back in 'Claire mode'.

She knew what was coming and pushed the thought of it away for a while. Sam and Cait finished filming the scene without any further major interruptions. Now she had to go to bed with him, having her face and neck moistened with water beforehand so that she looked sweaty. Sam looked at her as she prepared and raised an eyebrow. "So you don't need that much extra water today, huh?" he said in a tone as if he didn't know why at all and she glared at him with a warning look, which made Sam hold back a laugh. He got into position, Cait did the same and they continued. With the click of the clapperboard the scene came to life. Cait stretched herself, tired and sweaty, and stood up to go to the window. She was really hot by now and the whole situation was really pissing her off, but her acting talent was now showing its full potential.

"Claire..." came Jamie's voice quietly and worriedly. He hugged her and without noticing, the two were back in their own little bubble. "Have you been crying?" he asked and Claire smiled at him with an innocent smile. "No... it's just so hot, I'm sweating..." the sound of her voice, more Cait than Claire, continued to speak her lines and both played around the scene with a natural honesty, you could forget that this was a place where there were a good 15-30 people in the room and tons of cameras pointed at them. Jamie picked her up and sat her on the windowsill with the green screen in the background. He started kissing her thigh and Cait had trouble not losing her composure, sticking to the script. This bastard tried harder to make it look as real as possible and came dangerously close to her center. Claire tilted her head back and concentrated on not messing up the scene and accidentally making a move that would risk a 'CUT'.

Done. Fortunately, no further cut was needed and both of them were able to catch their breath. They both stood up and Cait ran her hands through her hair, looking at her husband. He had a stiff-on...that was obvious. She had to get away now, get some distance, otherwise her legs would give way if she looked at the Scotsman for even a second longer. She went into one of her trailers to change completely. After the producer and the others had thanked them both, they were allowed to finish work. It was already late after midnight and such provocative scenes are usually shot late to give the actors the opportunity to free themselves from certain feelings. Very few people know that the two are more closely connected than everyone thought.

"HOHOHO..." There was a click from the door as it closed and Sam was leaning against it. She was so lost in thought that she didn't even notice the blonde and was startled by his words. She was standing there in just her bra and pants, her shirt in her hand. "God damn it, Sam!" she said and took a breath of relief. He came towards her and she did everything she could to ignore him. She fiddled with her hair and suddenly felt a warm breath on her neck. Sam was standing right behind her.

"Are you sure you've been a very good girl today?" he asked in a scratchy, rough voice without touching her. "Sam, please... not here... not...-" she took a sharp breath when he suddenly gently put his fingers on her neck. For a brief moment she let herself get carried away, but then came to her senses when she realized where she was. "Sam, someone could come in at any time..." she said in an almost choked voice, as he had no intention of stopping. His fingers slowly ran around her neck and a shiver ran through her legs. He started kissing her neck and looked out the window, where he could see Sophi in the dark, moving towards the trailer. He stopped kissing, but didn't leave her side. Sam stayed close to her as the door opened and Sophi walked in, saw the two of them and froze for a brief second. Her gaze lingered on Sam for a small but uncomfortable moment, then on Cait, who was slightly out of breath, and then back on the Scotsman. Sophi turned away and quickly put down one of the outfit pieces. She almost got goosebumps from Sam's gaze. Not because of excitement, no...he claimed Cait for himself with an aura that could wake the dead. Like an alpha who dominates and claims his matriarch.

The message was clear and left no room for further questions on her part. She walked as quickly as she could and was visibly confused as she left. Cait hadn't given her a single glance and was trying to collect herself. After all the hard days of filming and working without sleeping with her once, he just wanted her for himself and not to let anyone or anything ruin the moment. The Irish woman freed herself from the confines and put on her top. "Let's go to your trailer, Santa Jamie." She winked at him seductively and then grabbed her jacket. They both went out and Sam suddenly grabbed Cait to carry her bridal style. She giggled and suddenly snuggled up to him, feeling his warmth. There was nothing nicer than feeling his closeness. She always gave him security and comfort.

When he arrived, he let her down on her feet and closed the door behind him. She still had a score to settle with him. She was a good girl, but he wasn't. On the contrary...he annoyed her wherever he could today. Just the thought of it reignited heat in her, a fire that had almost gone out and was now reignited when she just looked at him. He simply dropped the key on the table as he went to her and wasted no time. He grabbed her face in his hands and kissed her passionately. She let her jacket, which she had just taken off, fall to the floor and returned the kiss just as intensely, leading him backwards a little so that he was forced to sit down on the table. He didn't give up and pulled her onto his lap, kissed her neck and quickly moved to her breast. He paused for a moment. She was wearing a button-up shirt. He started to unbutton her but became too impatient and ripped it open with a jerk so that his hands could wander to her bra.

A sigh escaped her and she held on tighter to him so that she didn't slip off his lap. Sam's hand wandered into the side of her bra and played tenderly with her breasts. Completely out of sorts, Cait closed her eyes and enjoyed every single second, every single touch and murmured something incomprehensible. The passion that was bubbling in both of them was literally boiling over. The Irish woman helped her blond Scotsman take off his top and didn't stop kissing him for a second, afraid that someone might interrupt at any second. From his neck down to his abs, she stopped at his waistband and looked up at him cheekily. "I said I was good... so I want to unwrap my present..."

One of the typical Scottish guttural sounds came from him, announcing obvious anticipation. He stood up and let her free him from his pants. She looked at his erection and glanced up at him cheekily. "I can Play with my present right away, can't I?" She teased him in an innocent voice and kissed his best piece . He flinched slightly at every single touch and knew that for God's sake she mustn't go full throttle because he was about to burst. But that was exactly her intention. She wanted to tease him now and drag the whole thing out. She took him completely into her mouth and went full throttle straight away. Sam moaned, too excited as he was and grabbed her hair in his grip. "C...Cait stop..." He hardly got a word out and closed his eyes when it was already too late and he came violently in her mouth with a loud moan. Revenge tastes sweet...

He looked down at her in surprise and gasped heavily. She raised an eyebrow and grinned as she swallowed. "What?" she asked innocently. "I bet there's more in the Christmas sack..." she grabbed his balls, which made him jump. "You deserve a punishment as naughty as you are right now, my love." He smiled cheekily and almost cynically at her, grabbed her arm to turn her and pushed her onto the table with gentle but firm force, her bum stretched out towards him and his arm behind her back. He just pulled her pants down a little, just below her butt, and came to her without penetrating her. The Scotsman continued to hold her with his arm behind her back. He was so taken by what she was doing that he didn't need a break and was still aroused. Very slowly, Sam gave one kiss after the other, starting from her neck, down to her back and stopping just before her bum. He sat upright, one hand still on her tied arm and the other hand now found its way to her neck. He entered her and remained still. The Irish woman looked behind him as best she could and became impatient. Cait practically begged him to carry on, to move and to drive the desire out of her, but he stayed like that for a moment. "Well, what is it, Sassenach... I could literally feel how much you wanted me on set today, how you practically forced yourself on me and I swear to you, if we had had to repeat the take just once, I would have led you to the toilet and taken you there!"

Her face was bright red, not from shame, but the thought of making out with him there was almost her fault. She couldn't think any further when she felt the first powerful thrust from Sam and moaned loudly. God, what a week of abstinence can do to you is almost inhuman. He showed no mercy and thrust again and again, didn't mince his words and was careful to hold her tight without being too rough or hurting her. Sam set the pace, but noticed that she was about to come and that was exactly why he slowed down. She snorted indignantly and looked at him angrily, but all she got back was a sadistic grin. "Sam please...please don't slow down..." she whimpered almost wordlessly, completely out of breath and noticed how the tingling was lessening. "You bastard...!" she scolded in such a sweet voice that made Sam laugh and gave her a slap on the butt with his other hand. "Now now...that's no way to talk to Santa...Darling." Now she tried to free herself, which almost got the blond Scotsman into trouble. He let go of her and took a step back, but he didn't have much time, because Cait launched a new attack on him and grabbed his arms to press him against the wall opposite the table.

He grinned a little too proudly, but he lifted her left leg, turned her so that she was pressed against the wall and thrust into her without batting an eyelid. A loud moan made almost the entire container shake. He began to move faster inside her than before and Cait had trouble holding on to him. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she laid her head back, gripped by desire. "Don't stop...Sam...!" she begged again, but he had no intention of stopping now. He wrapped her in a long and passionate kiss, making sure that she got her money's worth and tightened his grip on her thigh. The wave of lust and adrenaline flooded over her, making her forget everything for that one moment, the stress at work, the sleepless nights and the different filming times, which often meant that both of them couldn't be together. Cait clung tightly to Sam's neck as she came and her loud moans gave him goosebumps. He was so close to coming a second time. His body literally trembled as he poured himself into her and he hid his face in her neck, but the Irish woman grabbed his chin and forced him to look at her while he moaned loudly.

He stayed in that position for a moment, both of them staring at each other silently and completely out of breath, until he finally let go of her leg and it slowly sank to the floor. Cait almost lost her footing completely, but he held her tightly in his arms so that she couldn't give in. Sam was completely exhausted and grabbed her by her butt to carry her to his bed. They lay next to each other and Cait snuggled up to him while he covered her and himself with a blancet. "I wanted you so much today... filming the scene was torture this time" she whispered to him softly and he smirked. "I know... you were so tense and confused. You'll laugh but your make-up artist gave me a dirty look. She knew exactly what was going on," he said and kissed her on the forehead. "Oh?" Cait was genuinely confused but she kissed him on his upper body. "Well...who can say they slept with Santa?" she said playfully and Sam had to laugh. "Oh, you were a really bad girl, my love...as punishment I would have to give you another smack on your beautiful ass." He grabbed her ass with both hands, kissed her while she lay on top of him and grinned into the kiss.

"I love you, Santa Jamie," she said lovingly.

"And I love you...Sassenach"

I don't feel like doing a huge Supernatural analysis tonight because I'm exhausted, end of the school year cannot come fast enough, I'm so busy and so tired and there's still so much to do BUT:

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, the episode I watched tonight. Really good, really sad :( honestly the saddest of the Horsemen in my opinion so far. Famine was honestly funny to me and my sister because he's an absolute icon (he said, "Hungry! Now!" and both of us went, "Yeah, that's me."), and I don't remember War too much but he wasn't this bad I don't think. Death is horrible because I feel so bad for these people that have already said goodbye to their loved ones, went through the grieving process, and then had their old wounds reopened and salted by getting to see their loved one alive for like 5 days and that's it. Is that better, is that worse? I don't know, but it seems not great. But I wish Bobby and Karen got to have their cute white-picket fence life with Karen baking pies and Sam and Dean getting to grow up with a mother/grandmother figure in their lives, and Bobby and Karen having a bunch of little grandkids running around. They deserved that :( but on Supernatural we never get what we deserve :( But overall, I did really enjoy this episode even without Cas being in it.

My Bloody Valentine. ATE. LEFT NO CRUMBS. I had high expectations for it with it being the Valentine's episode and Cas being in it, so I was hoping for some good Destiel scenes, and it did not disappoint :) Cas was absolutely adorable, a national treasure, the entire episode. Loved seeing him eat, what a cutie, and him and Dean's little conversations gave me life ("What are you, the Hamburglar?"). Also, Cas eating a burger in the passenger seat of the Impala with Dean is what I'm calling their first date because it's just SO cute and SO domestic and sweet and I just can'ttttt. And Dean saying he's not hungry!!! While looking at Cas who is absolutely starving and can't pry his eyes away from Dean's burger!!! I was like please, Dean, baby, let him have just a bite and he was gonna give him his whole plate!! Boyfriend behavior right there!!! SUCH a fucking good episode, absolutely loved it. Also also love Cupid and Cas' interactions being like the outgoing cousin and the neurodivergent cousin who can't get along just because they're so different, Cas being so uncomfortable with the hugs :( and "Give 'em hell, Cas!" like honey oh my GOSH.

The Song Remains the Same. Honestly feel like I don't have near as much to say about this episode. A lot happened, a lot of heavy, emotional, feels-plot-related-but-probably-isn't stuff happened, like always does in the episodes where they go back in time to see John and Mary. I do really like young John, which is crazy because I HATE (or at least thought I did, now I'm not so sure anymore) old John. I was glad when he died and I was glad that he was still dead, but after hearing Sam talk about how John was just trying to protect them the best he could with raising them into the hunting life... I don't know how to feel anymore. John was just so naive and innocent as a civilian, it's crazy. The Cas abuse was UNWARRANTED though, how could they :( he literally says "It'll take a lot out of me to go back in time, especially if I bring you two, because I'm weaker now." and Dean says "Too bad."???? Like buddy no that's your boyfriend be concerned??? Then Cas is BLEEDING, leaned up against the SIDE OF A CAR, and they're surprised??? Like he told you this would happen. And then he coughs up blood and passes out and I was FREAKING out. Then Dean thinks it's fine to just stuff him in a hotel room for a week, like you're not going to check on him, watch him, make sure he... oh, I don't know, LIVES? through the week? SAM being more worried about Cas than Dean is just ridiculous. Then when they get back to their time and Cas immediately passes out and they have to drag him like a sack of potatoes to plop him down on the bed :( sweetheart <3333 But Team Free Will is formed!!! Let's fucking go!!!

So, in conclusion, the last few episodes have been GREAT, I've just been so busy and EXHAUSTED that I haven't talked about them as much, but it's so good. Season 4 & 5 of Supernatural are peak rn, and I'm really hoping to finish season 5 this weekend, but I have no clue if that'll actually happen or not, it could definitely just be wishful thinking but it's SO GOOD.

Season 2 Sam spends the first four episodes of season 2 scared that Dean is going off the deep end. He knows his brother is not grieving their father in the way he expects by 2.02. By 2.04 he knows Dean thinks he should be dead. By 2.09, Dean plans to off himself imminently.

All of this concerns Sam. Sam keeps insisting Dean tell him what's wrong. He keeps insisting Dean is not okay and that Dean needs to open up. He keeps telling Dean he can help. Sam can carry part of the load. Sam cares.

(2.04, 2.09)

Then he finds out why his brother is depressed and contemplating suicide. John told Dean he had to save Sam—it was all on him—and if Dean couldn't, he's gotta kill Sam.

Of course Sam is gonna have feelings about that. It's a horrible fucked up thing to hear your dad said about you. It's awful and horrible and Sam has every right to be upset and freaked out and he has every right to be mad that Dean couldn't bring himself to repeat what was said for so many weeks.

That said. My guy. Spends the rest of the season. Regurgitating John's words back at Dean. The words that made Dean want to kill himself.

Because Sam knows Dean will not do this. He knows Dean will not kill him. He knows that from the very first episode he finds out. He knows Dean will not kill him with such confidence that he jokes about it in the same episode where he finds out.

But after 2.10... Sam starts to get scared. He isn't scared of what Dean will do to him. He's scared of what Dean won't do.

He's scared Dean will never be able to bring himself to kill Sam—to do what's necessary. So Sam needs to find a way to make Dean follow through on John's dying wish. So he gets drunk in the next episode—in 2.11. And he plays out Dean's conversation with John from 2.01.

Then he follows it up the next morning, basically saying, "It doesn't matter that I was drunk and grabbing you and wouldn't let go and that you didn't mean it and only promised to placate me (something I clearly know otherwise I wouldn't bring the conversation up again). You made a promise. Are you going to make yourself a liar now? Are you going to lie to me?"

The problem is, this doesn't work. Dean isn't going to be coerced into a promise, and the ramifications of breaking this "promise" for Dean are so much smaller than the fall out on keeping the "promise" it's not even funny.

Meg tries to make Dean think that Sam's gone off the deep end in 2.14—tries to hold him to the "promise" he made—also tacks on a promise Dean never made to John either on top—trying to guilt him into executing his own brother.

Sam gets his body back, and at the end of the episode... he pounces.

And Sam... Maybe he is this ruthless himself. Maybe he isn't demanding something of Dean that he wouldn't be willing to do himself (at least not at this point in time).

Dean doesn't want to do what Sam can. He can't.

2.17 is named "Heart" because it's about werewolves who eat hearts. But it's also about the show's fracturing narrative heart facing his own impending demise... because Dean's heart will rupture in two if he follows through with Sam and John's wishes—that he become Sam's executioner.

The embrace of death at his own hand seems ever sweeter—ever more deserved—ever softer and kinder than dying the way Sam and John are asking him to without even seeing it.

Death is the light at the end of the tunnel that absolves Dean of Sam and John's expectations. It's the way he makes their family's mistakes right—how he takes his body that's supposed to have given out 12 episodes into season 1 and then again in 2.01 and makes himself the sacrifice he was supposed to be—already was—always has been.

SAM So, what, now I live and you die? DEAN That's the general idea, yeah. SAM Yeah, well, you're a hypocrite, Dean. How did you feel when Dad sold his soul for you? 'Cause I was there. I remember. You were twisted, and broken. And now you go and do the same thing. To me. What you did was selfish. DEAN Yeah, you're right. It was selfish. But I'm okay with that. SAM I'm not. DEAN Tough. After everything I've done for this family, I think I'm entitled. Truth is, I'm tired, Sam. I don't know, it's like there's a, a light at the end of the tunnel. SAM It's hellfire, Dean. DEAN Whatever. You're alive, I feel good – for the first time in a long time.

yellowjackets spoilers although like this post is less for people watching yellowjackets and more for my mutuals who smartly did not tune into s3 but have a morbid curiosity about the ongoing trainwreck

episode nine of this season ended with adult melissa (whom you may know as "baseball cap yellowjacket" because she had like 10 lines ever before this season) stabbing van in the heart for secret wilderness powers, like she expressly says that she wants to be the person killing to receive wilderness gifts, like those words come out of her mouth (i mean not verbatim because it's in the context of a conversation but it's explicitly what she is communicating), which teen melissa has literally never not once this whole time shown any interest or belief in at all. so like they spent a bunch of time introducing us to melissa as basically a serial killer groupie obsessed with shauna* and were too busy getting shots of the two of them interlocking bloody hands (could not roll my eyes harder) to be like "btw melissa is team wilderness" and also at the end of the season she's actively working against whatever exists of team wilderness which is lottie going further and further off her rocker and shauna pretending to be team wilderness for power even though like nobody else seems to give a shit about the wilderness this season so why is that even necessary or effective. anyway. and then she just straight up literally DOES NOT APPEAR in the finale. because two time oscar winner hillary swank presumably said "yeah i'll do your dumb show but not only do you have to come to me i also can only do three eps." that was so worth killing off both lottie and van to work the three-episode rate quoted by two-time oscar winner hillary swank into the cast two weeks before filming without a script to show her (as per an interview swank gave). and i'm actually not sure i'd say that's the dumbest part of the finale

*ok also i have to get this off my chest... fuckass melissa literally like starts stalking shauna in the woods because she's like "i love your darkness" (barf) and kisses her for the first time literally while shauna has a knife against her neck and is threatening to murder her. then later in the season shauna shoots a rifle in her direction as a threat and says like "you're nothing without me nobody cared about you before me" and melissa is like soooo so sad and i keep seeing people be like "wow i can't believe how awful and abusive shauna was in that scene, brutal to watch" HUH? i am never going to feel sorry for someone whose only personality trait is "decided to be obsessed with the most fucked up girl in the woods" running away crying when it turns out that the irascible freak who has literally already threatened her life at knifepoint is mean to her and it was very very stupid of the writers to think i would!!!!!!

Summary: You meet Sirius and Regulus at a family vacation in the Caribbean, but things don't go as planned and you end up losing contact once the trip is over. Years later your family moves to England and you get accepted at Hogwarts where you finally meet Sirius once again, along with all of his friends. One of them with a mysterious secret, that you'll uncover as you embark on your own Hogwarts adventure. This IS a wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.

Hey Lovelies, welcome to “The Interlude” of Gilded Constellations. We’ve basically already gotten to 100 k words in this story and that’s absolutely insane!!! Which is why I thought of doing a little thing where I could interact with my readers. As a thank you for being there and supporting me so much through this journey.

And so… this little Q&A was born. Those who didn't get to ask their questions, don’t worry my darlings, my ask will be open all week for you to ask whatever you want. It’s a mini event that will last from today ‘till next wednesday.

But yes, it does mean this week we won’t get a new chapter D:

Don’t worry, it will definitely be worth it since the next couple of episodes are two that I’ve put absolute extra care on crafting, and I will put just as much care on revising. I’ve been quite literally posting non stop for 15 weeks consecutively. That’s almost 4 months, what?!?!

I needed my tiny lil break, besides I wanted to dedicate this bit of time to work on my Maraudween Special smutty series that will include some interesting mini AUs, so those that read my other stuff and not just Gilded Constellations will be quite literally treated this Halloween. There will be a lot of posts these next few weeks. Although, I might be releasing some of the Maraudween stories at the beginning of November. Unfortunately, I’m not a machine and I can’t write in seconds like Chat GPT.

Without further ado, let’s get on with those questions!

Where did you get the inspo for the fic?

Oh my god if I tell you guys about this… It all started when I was in class, sometimes when I’m bored, my little mind starts to wander. I’m a total daydreamer, I can’t deny that, but at that moment in particular I was quite literally thinking of nothing and everything at the same time. And then, out of nowhere, this phrase came to me:

“You look at them the same way you looked at me when we met…”

And I was like, “omg that’s so freaking angsty” and “That’s a great freaking line for a poly story” And I quite literally wrote it down with a little tag that said, “-the start of a poly relationship story because I’ve never read enough of those.”

And then I closed the notebook and went back to class. But I guess the idea had already set in my brain because next thing I know, I’m writing down more things down. And let me tell you, before Gilded Constellations I only wrote Oneshots because a story seemed like too much commitment. So I kid you not, I wrote down:

“Not a short story, but maybe a 3-5 chapter long fic”.

Jokes on me though, we’re 15 chapters in, like 20-something written and we’re probably going to end up with longer than 200k words and I’m not even sorry about it. Besides, I'm really pumped to finish it because I want to get it printed in Lulu and have my own little copy as a “Damn you wrote that.” kind of evidence thing. So worry not about being left with an unfinished fic, I’m going to complete this story even if it’s the last thing I do.

Besides, if I’m being honest, when I’m not writing, I miss my boys, so I’ll definitely miss passing the time with them when I’m done with GC. (Luckily I’ve already got another series planned and spoiler alert: This one will be Poly!Marauders x reader, a lot spicier aaaand, PIRATES.)

That’s how the fic started, well that and a dream that was basically most of Chapter 3 and I thought it was so cute that I wrote it down and then I was like, “hold up, this could be the start of the Poly story I was talking about…”

Are there any real-life experiences that influenced your writing?

Well I mean, I’d say that art imitates life and life imitates art, but in regards to real-life romance I don’t really know that much. But there are definitely some things here and there that have been sprinkled from my real life into the fic. Not sure if I could think of a particular one but I can say sometimes Remus gives me the same vibe that a boy I “used to” have a crush on. “Used to” in quotation marks because I kinda still do even if we haven’t seen each other in years.

So I guess a lot of Remus comes from my crush, but also Remus is his own little boy as well and I love him more for it. Even If I’m torturing him so much with his heartache, I promise it will be worth it Remus, reader and Sirius will take care of you, eventually.

Other than that, I guess I like to pay attention to things around me, you’ll see me looking at nature, the sky, the way leaves move, the way people interact with each other. Especially at that actually, I like to pay attention to people, how they move, how they interact, and their reactions. Sometimes I do it irl, and sometimes I just watch movies or series, and since my writing process is like seeing a movie in my head and then putting it into words, it’s always useful to pay attention to the world around me. Even if I sometimes struggle to put into words exactly what I’m seeing in my head.

Did you already have everything planned, or did you just go with the flow? If you have already, how far? all of it? Or just some chapters ahead?

Well, yes and no. I do have various key points of the story planned, a lot of plot points that are going to happen and that’s kinda what I’m sustaining myself on. I know the big points and then I just have to write what happens in between them. And I’ve got it planned all the way ‘till my babes all start dating. After that, if I’m honest I’m not sure how I’m going to end it. Some parts of me want to go for the saddest ending possible because it would go along with cannon and the other side of me, the one that can’t bear to see my boys being sad, wants to just deviate completely and/or leave an open ending.

But so far, I really cannot tell what exactly I’m going to do, I just know that time will tell. Because sometimes the characters just do what they want and I love to see where they take me. Which is why the ending is not set in stone just yet.

Without giving too many spoilers, can you tease upcoming plot twists or surprises we can expect in future chapters?

My sly little foxes have already guessed some of the major plot twists that are upcoming in the story. And there definitely will come some surprises along the way, some you will love, some you won’t so much. But I promise you it will all be worth it!

Remember in Gilded Constellations, everything happens for a reason.

THE FANCAST

What's your fancast for the fic? Did you pick the reader too or just leave it be? // I wanted to know if you have a fancast for everyone…

I did mention that I basically see stuff as a movie in my head right? So yes, I do have a fancast! Although I most definitely see James as Aaron, Sirius as Ben, Remus as Andrew and Peter as Dane, I have also twisted them in my brain. Like it’s them, right? But my version of them. Like my Sirius is so fucking ethereal in my head that sometimes I myself blush with his beauty. And Remus, well, he is probably most similar to Talita Asami’s from instagram. Especially this one.

There’s something about the way she contrasts his soft features with the scars that’s just perfect. It’s that sexy pirate vibe I cannot get out of my head, if that makes sense. But also I’ve been toying with AI lately (Talkie) and ended up with these two versions of Remus and Sirius and they have absolutely taken over.

Sidenote: I made way to many of these, so do tell me if you wanna see them.

The reader: Uhm… well, I kind of just see her as me, hehe. Which is kind of the point, you should all just see the reader as yourselves, if you’re comfortable with that of course.

The rest of our babies though? Lily Evans, Marlene and Mary, are kind of like the boys as in I see them as their fancast but also not entirely. And Lily especially, she’s just so freaking pretty in my head, there’s no one I know to match her, all thought Sophie Skelton and Kennedy Walsh (@/c4tluvr666 on Tiktok) are super close.

Now, outside of canon characters, aka all of these OC’s I’ve been creating with time, some of them do have a fancast and some of them don’t. Let’s focus on the ones that do, because some of them I literally had in my head since the very, very beginning of the fic.

Tom Harrow- This boy actually started as a younger version of Tom Hiddleston in my head, but the more I wrote him, the more he said, “Luv, that’s not what I look like!” And, almost out of nowhere, baby Tom Hiddleston became Rober Sheehan, and let me tell you, it stuck. And it stuck so bad there is no way I could see Tom as anything other than Rob. Especially with his role as Klaus in Umbrella Academy having a rather similar personality in the entire open-minded spectrum that he’s got going on. And, talking about teasers, this boy is actually going to be a key point on the romance between our golden throuple to develop, so keep an eye out for him. I love him so much tbh.

Then we’ve got Beth Doxon, this girl is my wifey, I freaking love Beth so much and if you’ve been paying attention you may already know who I based her off, at least in looks. It’s Anya Taylor Joy as Beth Harmon in Queen’s Gambit, redhead queen (can you tell I really, really like redheads?) . Also that’s why she has such a strong character, even if my Beth is a lot more of a Party Animal than the original character.

Alexander Wood in my head is just a carbon copy of his son Oliver, but in Hufflepuff, and the rest of the Quidditch teams, I’ve got a good idea of what they look like in my head, but not really a fan cast for them. Suggestions accepted.

Well, except for Minho Yun, since his role in the story is going to be as a pretty strong supporting character, in fact, he was meant to be somewhat of an alt love interest that was going to help build Sirius’ jealousy, but in the end, I decided to completely scrap that to further develop him as a character. Some interesting things that you’ll actually learn on the GC Halloween special. Oh, and Minho is actually based on Sang Heon Lee (on looks) and Ki Hong Lee (on character, specifically on his role in Maze Runner). Had I based Minho on the character of Sang Heon Lee who inspired him, we would have way too many slutty boys in the same room, with Tom and Sirius and him, It’d be chaos, which is why he ended up being a little shier.

Nox, Neil and Todd, literally are just Nox, Neil and Tod from De*d Poets Society. I was rewatching the movie to nail that boy friend group interactions and to get in the Dark Academia Vibes and I wanted to give my boys a happy ending.

Also Neil just gives me the most massive Prongs vibe I cannot.

And lastly, there’s Nina Blythe. Nina to me is a totally angelic girl, I’ve got a very vivid picture of what she looks like in my head but I don’t really have a fancast for her. Maybe a little bit like Aurora (the singer), in regards to her soft features, but Nina has longer hair and it’s a little wavy. I kind of think of her as a girl from a Renaissance painting, emphasis on girl, since she is supposed to look younger than she is. Any ideas for a fancast? For her and for anyone I missed, I’m completely open to your suggestions.

THE TEACHERS

Professor Nightshade is definitely Eva Green from Miss Peregrine or Jessica Chastain from Crimson Peak. She’s got that tall, regal and dark but elegant vibe to her that is just so freaking gorgeous and awe-inspiring. I totally have a crush on Seraphina, can you tell?

Professor Aurelius Spellman is kind of inspired by Kingsley Shackelbolt. However, if I had to cast someone for the role it would be Djimon Hounsou, he has that attractive and rough vibe to him. Like scary, demanding but also alluring things going on, he’s just got the magician type I suppose.

This one’s going to be silly, but I can’t imagine Kettleburn as anyone other than Gobber the Belch from HTTYD, like, take away the horned helmet and give him a pointy hat, and boom, Kettleburn ladies and gentlemen. Down to the messy personality, honestly.

And Donovan Pendragon (the teacher for Magical Theory) I feel like he isn’t mentioned enough, because I literally had no idea what his name was even going to be and I just left a line for it until I was editing the chapter before posting. So he doesn’t really have a cast. He’s caucasian in my head, but that’s about all I’ve got from him. Any ideas?

Do you have any headcanons for any of the characters and their relationship that you haven’t talked about in the story?

REMUS: Well I feel like this one has been talked about several times in the story but Remus being a beast in bed? I feel like everyone loves to tease him about it in the castle but to me, he’s also a total soft boy? Like especially the first time, I feel like he’s going to be so overwhelmed by both Sirius and Reader that he will basically just melt in the hands of his lovers.

SIRIUS: Smitten little puppy of my life.

SIRIUS AND REMUS: They’ve totally kissed in the past. At least once, and Remus still dreams about it. Sirius, well… maybe he’ll get some memories of it every now and then.

READER: My girl thinks she’s so freaking smart and yet is the most oblivious to her own feelings; she could be considered an idiot. She’s also so selfless it hurts, but like literally. Also, she loves flirting with Sirius way too much. Still, they definitely will need Rem in their relationship because there is no self-preservation sense when her personality is just as chaotic as our Puppy. Side note: Remus will 100% blush when she starts flirting with him in the same way he does with Sirius. And let’s not talk about what a tomato he will be when Sirius does it as well.

PETER: He kinda disliked the reader at first, especially since he felt like she was taking away his friends, but eventually he warmed up to her, and loves their friendship.

LILY: She enjoyed the kiss with Reader, and it made her realize she’s totally bi, because she also enjoyed the kiss with James.

TOM: My boy is clever as hell and he knows a lot more than he lets on. Also, he secretly ships the golden throuple.

BETH: She’s Tom’s bestie and she knows a lot of things too. She will also ignite chaos with the ultimate goal of being Gryffindor Tower’s own cupid. Do you think what happened at Marlene’s Party was a coincidence?

REGG: My beautiful Reggie is still sad about the incident. He’s still trying to find a way to reconnect with you and it pains him that you think he’d rat you out. Even then, he values the fact that you are with Sirius and that you’re helping him through everything that’s been going on, especially since he saw how red Sirius’s eyes were when he left the Black’s house with a trunk in hand sobs stuck in his throat. Reg cried like a baby that night, just wishing for time to go by as fast as possible so he could go back to school and see his big brother again. (I’m so sorry for that guys).

MINHO: Has a secret crush and you would not believe me if I told you who it was.

NINA: Has a secret crush and some of you have probably already guessed who it is.

DAMOCLES: You don’t know him yet but omg he’s just so clever, thank you Kles for existing.

And let's be honest, I totally have a bunch more of this but I think this is way more than enough, for now…

Out of all the chapters so far, what’s been your favorite?

This is too fucking hard to decide. But If I had to choose my top three, and in no order in particular, I’d say, for the released ones:

Fooled around and Fell in Love

Because, can we talk about the kiss scene? I feel like this one will come back bite my kiddos in the back so they finally realize what they actually fucking need.

Do Ya

I’m a total sucker for Sirius, what can I tell ya? But also the flying scenes were so much fun to write, totally an adventure to go through, still among my favs.

Do you have a playlist that you always listen to when you're writing?

Not a specific playlist, but I have been listening to a lot of ‘70s rock. Things like Queen, Bowie, Boston, Foreigner, Kansas, Fleetwood Mac, Nazareth, The Police and some others. All of them help me get in the mood for writing. At least in the mood of the era, if that makes sense.

Aside from the ’70s classics, I’ve also been listening to a lot of Lord Huron, Hozier, and Aurora (I sort of discovered her recently and I’m obsessed with some of her songs). Also some of The Killers, Dotan and Vian Izak sprinkled here and there. Bastille and Imagine Dragons are always and forever so of course they wouldn’t be missing from my list.

But when I’m struggling, like really struggling with writing, then I go to this Best Instrumental playlist, where they have everything from the Narnia and Peter Pan 2003 soundtracks to Vivaldi and Ghibli. It really does help with the concentration.

How long for the guys to understand that they fancy each other?

I know Remus kind of struggles with feelings, and probably even more now that Sirius and the reader are together. But when he's gonna say "hey, can I come in?" 😏 lol I just want them together so baaaad!

I’m not sure about the ending yet, but I’m definitely going to add so much fluff of the three of them together that you’re all gonna get cavities. Also, I’ve been writing The 5 Senses and the Halloween special (that might be finished until after Halloween) to practice for the spice, so I’m def compensating for the agony.

Also, I kind of want to explore the social implications of being in a throuple, of making that public in the `70s. Seems like a whole lotta issue bringer that kinda interests me… Sorry, you’re not completely getting rid of the angst even when they’re all together.

Funny that you ask, yes we will have a lot of Jealous!Sirius, in fact, it’s a huge part of how the throuple will develop. And you will have it so soon, even if it’s not exactly what you expect it to be. I can’t wait for next week!

And in regards to noticing, well… Sirius is not going to be the most oblivious about his own feelings in this story. I mean… not always.

Are there any particular scenes or moments in your story that were especially fun or challenging to write?

Well, I’m actually finding it a lot harder to write stuff atm, so I’d say the limbo between the Bad Moon Rising Arch and the next big thing that’s going to happen has been the hardest. Especially since I’m already going to get to a key point in which some shit is going to go down and I’m still not sure how bad and angsty I want to make it. Don’t worry, our golden throuple will be alright but…

In regards to fun, I must say the parties are some of my favorites, Potion Pong was incredibly fun to write ‘cause I literally transported myself to it and it was like actually living it, even if it was in my head. Also the flying scenes, they’re always fun to write, the race was incredible tbh.

I love to write the fun banter and the teasing too, it brings me joy. But I bet you could tell I’m one for the teasing from the very first chapters of Gilded Constellations.

I just thought of this, but what if we make a little housepont system and from things that you guys guess of the story you get housepoints and then we have a houseprice in the end? OMG I'd love to do this, if you're on tell me your house in the comments. So far Sytherin would have like 40 points just beacuse of dear @cometsghost and I'm not sure what is @blacksgarden house but they would also have like 40 pts.

How do you stay motivated and inspired to keep writing, especially in moments when you might experience writer's block?

It may or may not be healthy, but I just force myself to type? I never really have writer’s block, rather I’d call it writer’s overload. It’s when I’m running through so many possibilities in my head and I can’t pick which is the one I want to go through with. So I keep thinking about it and I don’t type. Which is why I just force myself to type, more often than not I’ll end up writing something I really like.

And as for the motivation, honestly just getting to see my boys again. To be able to submerge back into Hogwarts, that’s enough motivation. I seriously get an urge to go back because I miss them. It's kinda crazy. Like I might be chilling at home and suddenly the thought “I wish I was at Hogwarts” crosses my mind, not even joking.

The other motivation is finishing my book so I can get a printed version to place in my bookshelf and show it off. Not that anyone would know what it is, but I’d know, which is enough, hehe. And also to be a better writer, they say you should write every single day, which is kind of what I’m attempting to do with GC. By writing a chapter every week, I literally force myself to write every single day, even if just a couple of words.

Can we have cute moments with Remus? uuuh, Will he be cute when she notices that she really likes him?

Yes! We can have all the cute moments with Remus. Even before they all notice they’re into each other, we’re gonna have so many cute moments because even if Reader is dating Sirius I can’t leave my beautiful boy on the sidelines. Besides, how can I torture him if he doesn’t get a taste of how good it would be to be with them?

What can readers look forward to in the next chapters, and do you have any long-term plans or goals for GCs development?

Angst. Don’t hate me for this. But also comfort, and some fun little adventures and then a bit more angst, hehe…

Now that Bridgerton has been released for over a week and I've had it on repeat since then it's time to process through some thoughts.

Overall this is my favorite season of Bridgerton. It's not surprising because Polin has always been my favorite pairing since season 1 and friends to lovers is one of my all time favorite romance tropes.

While I am loving the season there are still a few beefs I had while watching it that still irk me, but don't bother me as much as they did in the beginning which will be discussed at the end of the post.

Prepare for a long post and if you read it all thank you! Also SPOILERS ABOUND! Let's start with everything I have loved so far:

Mirrors. There are mirrors freaking everywhere in the season and we all know why. A lot of the side characters have mirrors in their scenes. We see Kate has a bunch of mirrors in her study, the Mondriches have mirrors. Mirrors everywhere to be found. Not only is a mirror going to play a major part in the second part, but it's so symbolic of Colin and Pen's journey of really finding themselves and subsequently each other. But Bridgerton is not subtle this season. There's mirrors everywhere you look.

Colin Bridgerton is a cinnamon roll and must be protected at all costs. My previous post already addressed a lot of the Colin hate floating around out there and I won't hear it. Our man is out there fully falling harder for Pen and not realizing how much he's affected by her. Until he does and then he's properly torturing himself.

The main characters this season are so relatable. Being a mid/plus size late bloomer female who has never received any romantic attention I relate to Penelope so much. I nearly cried in the second episode because I've had the same feelings she was having in that moment of believing you'll never have that in your life. At least she had Colin. But besides my personal connection to Pen compared to the previous two couples I think Colin and Pen are the most realistic and relatable characters.

The book references. I was a little nervous about changing the storyline to Colin having lessons with Penelope and helping her find a husband and Pen having another suitor, but I enjoyed it. It allowed them to bring a lot of humor to the show where we haven't really seen that in this show before. But they also incorporated very key aspects of the Polin relationship. The first kiss was nearly verbatim from the book and the very end of the carriage scene was also straight from the book just some dialogue switched characters. More on the carriage later.

Colin realizes he loves Pen much earlier than in the book. So glad for this change since we already knew Colin was the biggest dummy for not realizing what was right in front of his face. I'm glad we saw sparks of it from him before the first kiss. The garden confession? Please. It was practically a love confession as he was talking about all of the things he likes about her. The boy just couldn't put two and two together. And I'm really glad Pen tried to move on from her feelings it really put Colin into a place where he had to imagine his life without her and the man couldn't handle it.

Here are some beefs I have with the season but again they're pretty minimal and honestly I'm somewhat okay with it now except for one of them:

Lady Danbury not being involved with Polin whatsoever. They name their first born Agatha for heaven's sake. I really anticipated Lady D to be involved with Pen being a wallflower and practically just like her, but .... whatever. They gave Lady D other things to do this season instead.

Pen never asked Colin to help her find a husband. Okay this one still actually bothers me still. In episode 4 Penelope mentions to Colin when they're finished dancing that it was a mistake asking for his help and then in the carriage she says again that when she asked him for his help in finding a husband she didn't know he'd also deny her one (I told you guys I have watched this literally nonstop for a week). But she literally NEVER asked him to help her. In episode 1 he says, "if a husband is what you seek let me help you." At no point was she like "Please Colin will you help me?" I couldn't stand this. The only thing Pen asked of Colin was if he'd kiss her and I stand by this. That's sloppy continuity in the writing.

The brothels. Both scenes were completely unnecessary to me. The first one I've come around on slightly, but I will never get over the second brothel scene. I get what they were trying to do, but with the awkward flirting with all the ladies in the ton that was already accomplished for me that Colin was trying to act like someone he definitely wasn't. I didn't need to see Slut Colin for that. And I get it for the first brothel scene they made sure to hit that home, but the second one? The second one comes after he realizes he's fallen in love with Penelope and I don't fully understand his motivation for going there. I also am just sick of the rake storyline and since we know that's not how Colin is I was upset they tried to turn him into that. But characters must grow. To me it could've been done differently or even better yet not at all.

No flashback to baby Polin. I really was hoping for a flashback. There was a flashback episode for season 1 and 2 but none for 3. I really thought they would have done a flashback of some kind. At least Colin remembers and talks about how they met. "Do you remember when we first met?" Bro please. You don't need to ask Penelope if she remembers it's the moment she fell in love with you, bro. I'm hoping for a callback to this in the second part when she hopefully tells Colin she's loved him for years.

Last beef. That the carriage scene and love realization happened with no LW reveal. I get it. They're pushing this off to the second part. Makes sense for the drama of it all, but it fundamentally goes against season 1 Pen when she was trying to convince Marina to tell Colin that she was pregnant. Like hello. Now she's just doing what Marina did by keeping this from him. And I'm sure that's what part 2 will be about, but I don't like it. In the book he proposed to her fully knowing who she was and now in the show there's this huge chunk of who she is now missing and I DON'T LIKE IT!

Hello wanderers, its time for another late #AudioDramaSunday post! This week has been wildly busy but there was still time for @doyoucopypod to rip my heart out of my chest (on my birthday of all days, Delaney!!) We're getting closer to the end of season 2 and I have Many Concern

Last week also had @audistorium's first foray into romance and it broke my heart into a million pieces Landon Lemon Whisnant has written another brilliant story and I'll be unwell about it forever I cried SO MUCH YALL

I am officially caught up on @thecellarletters and I'm. Gnawing on wood over it every aspect of this show is phenomenal but the way it's weaving mystery and horror is REALLY making my brain buzz right now it's so well crafted and Jamie is phenomenal

@ethicstownpod this week terrified me!! It was so well done!! Idk if yall know this from listening to the Fringes but AI freaks me out. And Ethics Town is REALLY digging into that fear of mine it's incredible I love Ethics Town so much

shoutout to Rusty Rose's Birdie, who only appears in the very first and very last eps for some reason 😭 her speech about it not being her power source came outta nowhere too, but i loved the message behind it

when everyone arrives at the Grim, just before the ep ends, Nine starts breathing heavily and it. instantly reminded me of Movie!Tails when the bar was calling them freaks. fuck. its a nice reminder of where Nine's coming from

speaking of Nine his poses getting more unhinged over time!! hell yeah

i love that the final fight(s) felt like a kid smashing 3 different Lego sets together, real Robot Pirate Island shit

i laughed a little too hard when the Grim's dome started closing in cus Nine's citadel-thing already reminded me of a thing that happened in Fortnite once, but hell naw they had to add The Storm too sdfghj

we're four years into the 2020's and Sonic has nearly died an agonizingly slow death 3 times in 3 different continuities! and dare i say it was delicious every time >:)

unless Word of God says otherwise I'm gonna assume that the giant shadow at the end was The Return Of Metal Big lpoihgfds

So... Twitter, huh? My spoiler filters there had some leaks, and I saw some discussion out of context that... actually made me kinda scared to finish the show. But then I did, and had fun with it just like the other two seasons, and I remembered that Twitter gets high-strung about things that don't matter so much, and that giving it sway over how much I enjoy things is silly lol.

Yes, I think the last season could've been paced differently so it wasn't 5 episodes of the same Final Boss Fight. Yes, I think the writing switches jarringly between gearing for a young new audience and for a seasoned old one. Yes, I think the 2D flashbacks look and move worse than what fans constantly make for free. Yes, I think the final episode doesn't do nearly as much housekeeping as it should (does the Shatterverse still exist or not??). Yes, I think declaring the show is canon to the games or whatever they said probably wasn't the best idea. And yes, I think Black Rose should've had a shoulder-parrot!Birdie to match the other Amys. All valid critiques! All sensible things to think when you've been around the Sonic bush!

But I swear to god, people on Twitter act like these things spoil the whole package. Where's the nuance? Why does every opinion there become an absolute worth tearing others down for? Is it the character limit? I bet it's the character limit.

There's so much I love about this show that were infeasible for the Sonic brand just 3-4 years ago. Externalizing the characters' facets to explore them in-depth. Said exploration spanning multiple episodes instead of being one-and-done. The sheer amount of genuine Sonadow food (and I don't actively do shipping, so me adding it here should hold a lot of weight). The snappy, playful, yet blistering fight scenes that, dare I say, feel like a successful TV-budget Spider-Verse. It was all so much fun!

But I guess stuff like Green Hill being the gang's "home" is a big deal-breaker?? Like?? I thought that was silly too, but not worth ratio'ing people with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over? Get well soon, I guess??

Rambling over, shout-out to the entire country of Canada for giving me the most fun I've had with a Sonic show since X! I'm gonna go figure out how to address all this as The End lol

I don’t know how to reconcile my love for Imodna and my fear that they’re going to not be end game… which is causing me a fear of purchasing artworks. Do you have any advice?

I’m afraid I’ll do it, hang it, love it and be completely heartbroken and want/need to take it down. OR, they do end up together, I don’t buy the art and then the art won’t be available that long down the line. I have stress and fear..

hey there! first off, it ain't dumb. I know I freak out a little bit at the reality of when this campaign will be over, and I was the same with c2, jester was my character of all time and I had been watching live since the first episode aired, it's a lot of time to spend with a character/characters and real understandable to feel that way. it's always bittersweet, but life moves on

and I guess that's it, you have to enjoy what you enjoy whilst you have it. this is a show that's a lot like life, in that your favourite character could easily die one week without much rhyme or reason, no scripted foreshadowed build up. so give yourself to enjoying that thing whilst its here, share that enjoyment with others, and know that in the future there won't be an empty void - there will be something else.

speaking from the point of view of an artist, yeah, of course I think any of us would really appreciate the support, it's rough times, and once again, i can say from experience it's real nice to have that artwork there to see whilst you care about it. enriched environment and all that. and it's hard to say who's enthusiasm will stay, whether the couple is still together in canon or not, or once the show is over. I'm not someone who dabbles in more than one fandom at a time and this is the most I've committed myself to one, personally, but also personally, I'm a slutty aromantic so like whilst I do really care for imodna as a ship and all of that, it's kinda always been Imogen first for me. a whole lot of us were invested in them as a couple before it happened, I'm sure a lot of us would have been invested in it regardless, and we can still love what we were given either way. I love the story of it, I think for me the bump in the road makes it even more interesting, and something we haven't really been given by a CR romance during the campaign before (maybe we had in c1 idk I didn't watch it)

also, getting personal again, I'm also old enough to be of a generation where there wasn't a lot of queer rep. there was a lot of settling for subtle glances and heavy subtext. what we've had already has been so good, I really enjoy it, I love that we're already passed a time of like, well we don't have a lot of queer rep so everything we do has to be all lawful good alligned flowers and smiles and basically rebranded heteronormative fairytale romance but with coming-out grief, it's so far from beauyasha baybeeeee endgame and honestly for me that's perfect. these two have always had great charisma acting together and I love the layers and complexities we get from these two particular characters working out being in a romantic relationship with the burdens they carry, those years they had together before the campaign started and all of that ground we can play with, how they saved eachother...

have fun, try not to stress about being legitimised by others, enjoy your corners of fandom and fic and art and meta and interactions and your own conclusions and attractions and relations. take all the joy you can from the little things in life. make them as big as you want them to be.

Note: The events of this story are following season 10 of Supernatural and are taking place between October 2014 and July 2015. I tried to make sure that all the references to weapons, tech, etc. are accurate with the time period.

AN: This is my first time writing a fanfic but the story has been in my head for too long and it just needed to get out. I hope you like it.

AN: English is not my first language, I apologize for any mistakes.

I walk in the kitchen and I stop dead in my tracks. A woman is standing in front of the counter with her back to me. How the hell did she manage to get in here? I reach for my gun but then I realize it's Ema. I look at her without making a sound. I don't want to announce my presence yet. Her curly hair is flowing freely. I had no idea she has curly hair! She always wears it in a braid or in a low bond. It's wild and beautiful. And… has purple strains scattered between her dark brown curls. And it reaches down to her ass… Son of a bitch! Her ass… She is wearing some tiny little black shorts, barely covering her ass. And… Fuck me! A cropped t-shirt! All the things I want to do to that woman… All my fantasies about her are rushing to me. During the last weeks it was getting harder and harder to concentrate around her. But who can blame me when she's looking like that? She sways her hips a little and just then I realize that there is music playing. Some kind of new age rock song, not exactly my style. She is concentrated on making coffee with her fancy European coffee machine and hasn't noticed me yet. I have to admit, this machine makes amazing coffee. I swear, she is living on the stuff. Although, it's more sugar and creamier than coffee. I can't recall a time I have seen her without a coffee cup in her hand or nearby.

I can not look away from her. Like I'm hypnotized… or under a spell… or something… She raises on her tiptoes to reach for something on the highest shelf of the kitchen cabinet. Her shorts and crop t-shirt go even higher revealing more of her body.

The pull I'm trying to fight alongside with The Mark's calling… I quickly move through the room and reach for the sugar on the shelf, wrapping my other hand around her waist to keep her in place when she startles for a second. "It seems like you two keep forgetting that not everyone is a freaking giant." She smiles at me when I hand her the sugar. She is now facing me but my hand is still wrapped around her. Her skin is so soft. The scars on her abdomen are almost invisible now. I feel a slight goosebumps going through her skin and then I realize I'm unconsciously moving my thumb along her spine. She is so close and I…

Suddenly, the entire bunker starts shaking. The kitchen utensils start clicking to each other making loud noises. I grab Ema with both my hands, pushing her to the wall and covering her with my body. After a few moments, the shaking stops. But I don't dare to move. I don't want to move. All I can do is stare at her lips. I wonder if they are as soft as they look… How would they taste… I want to tangle my fingers in her gorgeous hair and pull her even closer to me… "Dean?" Sam yells from somewhere. "In the kitchen!" Ema yells back. She puts her hand on my chest and gently pushes me away, stepping around me. "Are you ok? What was that?" Sam runs into the kitchen. "That was the bunker's mainframe restarting." Ema answers, resuming her previous task of making coffee. "I didn't know you were back. I otherwise would have warned you." She turns around holding her cup and lifts it to her lips. "And I wouldn't walk around in my pajamas." She adds when she notices Sam's look on her body. A tinge of jealousy goes through me when I see my brother inspecting her so thoroughly. "Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to change into something more… appropriate. And I will check if this bunker is finally running to its full capacity." "So you found the problem?" I ask and try to follow her, but Sam grabs my arm stopping me. "Yes! It was running on its backup power system." I hear her yelling her response. "The entire time, all I had to do was to just turn it off and on again" She laughs and the sound of it echoes in the bunker.

"We need to go! We have…" Sam stops in the middle of his sentence. "What?" I ask. He looks at me, then at the door. "Are you… Do you…" He tries to form his question. Then he looks at the door again. "What!?" I exclaim. "No!!! Me… and her… No! No way!" I try to hide that I'm constantly haunted by thoughts of her. "Dean! Don't try to lie to me! I know you! We talked about this... You have to stay away from her!" "You have nothing to worry about, Sammy. I just can't get out of my mind what Metatron said about her." "What did he say? Why haven't you told me anything about that?" "Nothing! It was nothing. He was just trying to get under my skin." I wave my brother's question away, but I know he will not just leave it alone. And I just screwed up by mentioning it to him. "Do we have a case?" Sam nods. "It's kind of a strange one…"
