introducing the scug version of my Chasing Wind! in Gourmands campaign!! hell yeah!!!

despite their campaign being more similar to Gourmands, the Skydiver has Rivulets movement mechanics. the swift speed not the extended underwater breathing. they also have Gourmands craft mechanic, but very specifically not the. pull random stuff out of your stomach mechanic? im not calling it regurgitation im fairly certain Gourmand doesnt. vore actively alive things. just to pull them out later. anyway, i think Skydivers crafting system would be different from Gourmands. i mean thered probably be some similarities but id say Skydivers is more. spear based? have i said that Skydiver has unique spears like Spearmaster does? different kinds though, not just one type. thered be the usual bomb and electric spears but i think Skydiver should be able to make like. idk rubbish spears which deal more damage than a regular spear. flashbang or singularity spears for shits and giggles. lantern spears that can glow in the dark but dont deal extra damage? i also think Skydiver should be able to hold two spears at once or store them like Hunter can but i think spear crafting plus Rivulets speed plus being able to hold multiple spears may be. a lil much. i think it sounds fun though but also very unbalanced whoops. Skydiver has their own version of foodquest!! hell yeah!! i call it the spearquest. essentially, theres a unique recipe that calls for specific materials in a specific order, something like a rubbish spear plus a vulture mask plus. something? i havent fully thought it out but in essence Skydiver is making a new Vulture Spear (aka gliding spear, look at the picture up top its that). its the same kind of deal with gourmand if you finish the campaign without making the spear nothing really happens but if you exit the campaign with it theres some extra art and maybe the craftable spears can start appearing in other campaigns randomly? or scuppies can show up like with Gourmand but theres like no correlation there so im thinking spears.

the Skydiver has always looked to the skies, always stood on high branches to feel the winds, always looked at vultures with some measure of envy with how easily they soared through the air. they trained, started moving quicker and jumping high enough to feel the winds as they fell but it wasnt enough. they needed the skies themselves. they needed wings. they know just how to get some, always having known their creativity and cleverness and drive. they make a spear, wrapped with stiff wings and outfitted with an odd device that mimics the pinkish gasses vultures flew with. they step off a tree and put their faith not in the hands of random gods or nature itself but in themselves their hands their /wish/ and and it works. they fly. its. its addicting. fulfilling. incredible and vast and they hope never to lose this ever.

so of course, they lose it.

a wing snaps, flight thruster broken. Skydiver can only catch a glimpse of a falling vulture and a pink slugpup? before they spin spin spin and fall far from home with broken wings like a broken heart. something within them wails at the very idea of never tasting the skies again and for a moment it feels all too much for the Skydiver to bear. it doesnt matter. they pick themselves up. they did it once, they can do it again. theyll find their way to the skies once more and dance in the clouds with bliss. they just have to find their way out. far from these walls and back to their tree. maybe theyll even find the time to see whats the fuss with these so called random gods while theyre here.

for a moment, while wandering, Skydiver thought they saw another slugcat, blue and heavily scarred and moving with determined purpose. they never saw whoever that was again. Skydiver hopes that wherever they are, theyre doing okay in these vulture infested lands.

1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

valyrie - what *was* it... im PRETTY sure it was just that i was watching executioner virgin road and was like 'damn i should make a character who passes herself off as a priestess but shes actually an assassin for the church'. so i did that.

nest - nest for sure was that i saw that imageset of the redheaded swordswoman and i was like 'oh shit. we can make a girl out of this'. so i made a less gallant version who loves getting into fights and is so painfully A Teenager.

2. How long was the process before the character reached its final version? (or a version that would be clearly recognizable as the character?)

for both of them it was pretty much just as long as it took to make the picrew, which was effortless in both cases. theyve obviously gotten development since then but they wouldve been very recognisable from that point.

3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

valyrie - role i think, not that she was in any story but her role was always going to be church assassin priestess.

nest - its hard to tell if it was personality or appearance. probably appearance.

4. And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?

valyrie - i dont think i struggled with anything for valyrie. if anything, her name, but it came to me pretty easily.

nest - i think role? just bc she wasnt made to have a specific role

5. How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

valyrie - it's just 'valkyrie' without the k. primarily vibes, but the vibes are that she's supposed to have the vibe of being a holy warrior, to obscure her actual job.

nest - i honestly dont know why but 'nest' was stuck in my head as a name so i ran with it. its short for anestesia. she hates her respectable noble family so she uses a nickname, and in her original canon she had good friends in an orc village, where it was tradition to be named after things in nature (her friends iirc were Twig and Rain) and the village kind of adopted her, so she chose to go by Nest.

8. What is the origin of their personality? And let's be honest - how much of it is projecting?

valyrie - iirc valyrie's personality is born of her appearance. shes SO fucking tired, but shes been raised to maintain her persona as a priestess. these two things turn her into someone who has a calm, even voice and avoids letting her temper get the best of her, but doesnt mince words. this is not projecting, i dont think my personality is very much like valyrie's.

nest - ive got no fuckin clue where her personality came from. shes just an asshole who sprang out of my head. possibly my least relatable girlie. i hate conflict. this makes me sound like im just outright denying it but youve really just sniped the girlies i dont think im projecting onto lol.

11. Is there any existing character from other media that your character resembles? Was the resemblance intentional or was it a coincidence?

valyrie - she looks honestly a hell of a lot like uguisu anko from call of the night, except deathly pale and with white hair. this was wholly unintentional, i hadnt seen call of the night when i made her.

nest - i mean, redheaded swordswoman isnt an uncommon anime character. but i cant think of any she looks particularly like. the girl she was based on was someone else's oc so i dont think shes in media.

16. Is there any memes or running jokes associated with the character, both in- and out of universe?

vayrie - in universe yes. she goes up to someone and introduces herself like 'good afternoon, im valyrie, priestess of the church of whatever' and whoever it is looks at her outfit, which is definitely and specifically a priest's outfit and not a priestess's, and they say 'um. priestess?' and shes just like. 'priestess.' she also gets it when shes killing people but theyre more confused about the fact that shes killing them than the fact that her outfit is different than they expect.

nest - i dont think theres anything about nest currently but shes definitely the type to garner the ire of those around her so if she fucks up enough people will definitely talk. like 'i heard the blackmoor girl will be at this party' 'oh heavens i better bring my brass knuckles' or some shit idk.

19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?

valyrie - i mean the scars obviously i think the best part of valyrie is the way she commands fear. i think its hot that shes so intimidating that most of her marks dont even get a hit in. i dont think theres anything i dont like about her atm.

nest - the best part of nest.... i think i like their weird take on chivalry and their juvenile devotion to the first girl they feel like needs Protecting. it feels at odds with their usual personality but i think the best way to describe nest is 'headstrong', and that covers both things. as for the least favourite part... i love it as a character trait but god it would be so theoretically annoying to meet nest in real life. shes so angry and fighty. it makes her difficult to work with, as a character.

20. Bonus question: share any additional thoughts, art, favourite scenes, anything you've been waiting for a chance to ramble about

valyrie - if i ever get back to writing that isekai, valyrie would play the role of an antagonist. the church would send her after luna & co, and when she fails they make her adela's handler and send her after them again. when this also fails, adela would be able to convince her to find the three relics of the witch, which would have disastrous effects neither of them anticipated that end up revealing the true nature of the church to her and luna&co. i think it would be funny to have the 'i think we're gonna have to kill this guy' meme with them, with adela on a leash and looking elated to be allowed to kill.

nest - im still kind of toying with the idea of making nest the protagonist of the theocracy story. the whole thing is about being deceptively manipulated by various older women who seem pitiable that she could Definitely Save And Protect. she would fall for every route hook line and fuckin sinker.

What inspired the Ford trio

he loves loves loves rain. he used to love thunderstorms too, but after everything thats happened...anyway, oftentimes stan will find him hanging out on deck during rainstorms and have to drag ford back in. when theyre at land, ford will sometimes go outside and stand out in the rain and get all muddy. kind of not great since he doesnt like the texture of mud very much. stan's working overtime trying to keep ford from getting sick because of it. he doesnt mind much though- as long as it makes ford happy like that, he's okay with it

ford spends a lot of downtime catching up on all the literature and movies he's missed. mostly stan helps out with the second part (they watched the 2011 version of the thing recently). he also does a lot of research into reports of anomalies and such. theres also the drawing sessions with stan ive mentioned in another post- he does also spend a bit of time making or looking into things they can send to the niblings as gifts. theyre kind of stuck in a gift war where the two sides are always trying to one-up each other. its a lot nicer then it sounds

I am working on fixing a very run-down two story house. The rooms, of course, dont exactly make sense. Which does make sense, really. For me, at least. The spiral staircase in the dead center of the house is iron and pretty much the only piece that doesnt seem like it may be trying to succumb to years of rain and weathering.

The basement is flooded, i dont really have the equipment to fix that either. The attic is the least touched part, which feels strange. No holes in the roofing there I guess, its dry and a little warm. Probably the safest place to sleep as it doesn't move and change positions like the rooms on the second floor do.

The second floor seems to consist of doors that lead to the same hallways and rooms. Several bedrooms, the only ones i have seen so far look like various versions of our childhood bedrooms over the years. Sometimes theyre full rooms, sometimes the walls are tarped off from when they were doing construction for so many years. I don't look out from behind the tarp. I don't want to know what is on the other side of them. There is a couple of bathrooms. Neither of which are from my own homes. The garden tub at our late aunt's house, still full of plants and dirt and her art on the walls. The vases she made sitting on every surface. The light from the sunroof that sits over it is still so beautiful and reminds me how much I miss her and how much I wish we had been closer when I became an adult. The other bathroom I've seen is less remarkable, a small one with a small shower. The sink and tubs are stained with hair dye, i can faintly hear music and crying from downstairs when im there. There is a small window that otherlooks the forest and makes it seem endless. Theres a small livingroom space on the second floor too, but i can only look in. That has always been my place. To look in and never enter that room. To show my face from the corner and scare the child within. Theres no child there now, as i realized a long time ago that i was that child myself and i cant really take both positions.

The first floor is run down, open concept, and circles itself around a T shape of walls in the middle so you can pretend theres a difference between the kitchen, dining space, and living room area. None of those have any furnishings though, put its fun to walk the circle. Ive places a few potted plants in the corners but the flooring is soft and needs replacing. I feel lucky to be so light on my feet despite how heavy i can be. The windows are broken in a few places. One is busted outwards entirely. It feels a little exposing but easy enough to ignore.

My door doesn't really stick to the walls on the 1st floor. I can place it, but i cant look directly at where i want it to be. Once it is up, if i touch it suddenly the thing crumbles like a built up powder under my touch. Seems to work fine on the second floor. I may have left an unfortunate amount of drywall dust on the floors where ive tried to place doors on the first floor.

20 films down and I'll admit this stretch was one I wasnt looking forward too,I even was afraid I was getting burnt out due to one film ,but still have my energy so we are gonna keep on trucking

16.Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)

This was actually pretty fun ,I enjoyed this one more then I remembered liking it.Its not perfect,I think the Wolf Man stuff is better then the Frankenstein stuff .That said this is a very good sequel to the Wolf Man and I love the relationship between Larry Talbot and Maleva ,there is a warmth and sweetness there .When Maleva swears to protect Larry like she did her own son Bela ,basically making Larry her surrogate son ,especially after LArry had just learned his father died of grief ,and the basically become eachothers family cause they are the only ones who understand this curse ....It got me choked up,Im not made of stone .Its not in the film alot but I like that Larry is friends with the Monster ,I wouldve liked more of that .The powerhouse of the film is Lon Chaney Jr who brings the pain and sorrow to LArry as he seeks a way to die ,to escape immortality .I also like that the villains of this film are explicitly the townspeople.Thats a common thing said by fans,we like and identify with the monsters,so we see the crazy towns folk wanting to persecute the other as scarier to us ,and here it is made text.The Towns folk are racist to Maleva and mistrusting and so paranoid ,they are the antagonists ,could be projection but a mob is scarier then a monster .I also think the big Wolf Man and Frankenstein Monster fight is fun .If the film has a big flaw its gotta be Bela Lugosi as the monster,he doesnt really look right in the makeup and due to context that is cut explaining he is blind and getting rid of all his dialogue ,he kind of just sumbles about .Akso theres a friggin musical number in this movie and I ADORE IT .Fun movie reccomended

17.The Phantom of the Opera (1943)

This is the oddball of the set cause its a remake of an earlier film thats not in the set......And its also a diffrent type of movie then a lot of the films in the set,cause well,...Its in color ,it was a lavish technicolor extraviganza as opposed to being a B Movie like a lot of the other films .I know a LOT of Universal fans and even Phantom fans dont like this movie cause its a very light horror film........I ADORE THIS MOVIE ,I didnt at first but Ive watched it MANY times and grown to just love this film and I had just such a wonderful time revisiting it during this marathon .It might be my favorite version of Phantom that isnt the musical ....Which is weird cause it is a VERY loose adaptation and at that a tame version .However once I pressed play on the DVD after sitting some rather mediocre films it was a nice change of pace to see the beautiful technicolor ,and thats what I use to describe the film ,beautiful,with nice colors gorgeous sets ,lovely music,and great costume.I love the Phantoms costume here ,black suit ,black hat ,black cape thats lined with red with a blueish half mask which also looks good with Claude Rains grey hair ,its my favorite Phantom costume .Arthur Lubin,the director adds some of the best comedy in these films since the work of James Whale ,from the bumbling owners of the Opera (With J Edward Bromberg being particularly great ),the fussy stage manager worrying about the Opera Ghose who he thinks "Has a long nose and a big red beard " which gets a fun payoff ,and especially the stuff with the love triangle,which is entirely played for humor and makes both our romantic heroes look like fools .The cast is great ,with Suanna Foster being my favorite Universal ingenue and absolutely my fave Christine (With a gorgeous singing voice ).Raoul is split into two characters , a policeman who shares his name played by Edgar Barrier and a heroic baritone named Anatole played by superstar singer/actor Nelson Eddy ,and how they conclude their rivelry makes my queer heart happy .The best part of the film is the Phantom played by my absolute favorite actor Claude Rains ,here a violinist obsessed with Christine who falls upon misfortune and madness (The scene where he snaps and kills a man is truly scary and a superb piece of acting by Rains ),and he makes for a great tragic villain ,even if his motives are a bit muddy.Great film,adore it gonna be high in my ranking ,one of my fave films period

18.Son of Dracula (1943)

.....So I nearly stopped the marathon .There is a lot to like in this film:It looks beautiful,the main plot is kind of interesting with the hero being framed and the two villains trying to dupe eachother ,J Edward Bromberg plays against his bumbling type as an expert and Lon Chaney Jr plays against type as a conniving cunning villain as opposed to a tragic or lumbering monster ....The problem i think is....I just didnt care,I found the film so boring ,and Im sorry but as much as I love Chaney and how he is clearly trying he does not work as an aristocratic vampire .I was so looking forward to this film and it just bored me to tears

19.The Invisible Mans Revenge (1944 )

This was a delight,fun story of a revenge seeking maniac tormenting his former friends through invisbiity.Effects are good ,John Carridine has a fun role as does Gale Sondergarrd.John Hall who previously played the Invisible Agent gives a much better performance here as a really menacing villain ,and I like that he is a diffrent type of evil ,being more angry and sociopathic then the outright playfully sadistic and unhinged villain Rains was .

20.The Mummys Ghost (1944)

So I have NOT been enjoying the Mummy movie they are my least favorite series in this set....Well I am happy to say ,I actually kind of liked this one .It follows the formula mostly, but it does enough interesting things I like it ,I was invested in the main story ,John Carridine makes for a good villain,Lon Chaney Jr actually has stuff to do as Kharis the Mummy aside from just shuffle and kill people,like he has a personality here and the ending....Is perfect .It is a shockingly morbid end that I friggin love .Enjoyed the film aot

to what i understand - i have no intentions of going to the author's patreon myself as while i do like the art/idea of horror tale I'm not actively following it - the character is aged up for the porn.

so. its not pedophilia or a depiction there of or even like a i "aged up" the character to get around depicting pedophilia: IE in the way actual porn vids nowadays likes to do by put woman in kids style underwear or pajamas.

like. the people I've seen are upset for exactly the reason your stating. in canon this is a child, and even though for the porn shes aged up to be an adult and have theoretical full capacity to both preform and concent to having sex, they cannot *not* see her as a child character.

so like. let me ask a few questions

is this canon or in any way going to affect the canon of this thing they are enjoying

follow up on that first question: if it doesnt and its a side hustle to makes money so that more of the thing can be made does it squick them out more that the author is doing something they don't approve of on the side more than they enjoy the actual content

are they unaware that every adult that has sex was once a child with only two reported exceptions that i can think of off the top of my head - to be fair the amount of religion and mythos i dont know vastly outways what i do

are they aware that the characters in question are fictional and no harm is coming to children in either real life or the fictional character that they are reporting to be aged up and therefore the porn is of two adult characters

no one has mentioned if the porn was even depicted as consensual? like not that i suppose it matters but its kinda funny that theres this porn and no ones being graphic about how awful it is - just that in canon one of the characters is 12. i feel like if the sex was depicted in such a way to wink away the adult aspect of her there would be comments too.

hey speaking of which who decided that? is it word of god (the author) or like explicitly stated in the comics or like - how did the wiki get this number/ who updates the wiki?

are they aware that fictional characters regardless cant actually consent anyways so thats also a "problem" by depicting any of them having sex by this sort of logic

she makes a penstagram account with a cosmic frontier reference for her username to keep in close contact with her new friends and she actually knows how to use it better than hunter does. she's the first person alador goes to when he needs advice about being a parent. she has a permanent offer to stay at the owl house or at alador's home whenever she needs. she meets with gilbert, harvey, perry, steve, and raine for brunch every sunday morning.

she and principal bump meet and he is absolutely honored to meet her and he gives her the opportunity to give extracurricular after school lessons at hexside about the human version of beast-healing. she does a single lesson once a month, but does open up the chance for one or two older kids at a time to shadow her at her vet clinic for a day as a little field trip (viney always gets herself at the top of the list and becomes well known around the clinic) and she is lovingly teased by her co-workers for always picking up "strays".

she is one of the people on scene during the gathering of the guards who had all been murdered by their own creator and left to rot in the dark for decades. she doesn't have the strength in her to be one of the ones collecting the remains of all these men and boys who once had her son's face, but she stands by hunter's side and keeps him from falling to pieces and they help make sure all the golden guards all finally given a chance for peaceful rest.

she helps gus with preparing the curriculum for his classes on the human realm in eda's new school. she is there at all of the emerald entrails' flyer derby matches and wears green face paint to every single one and cheers the loudest. she's the one who takes amity to her meeting with the dean of the university of abominations when alador gets fireflu and is stuck in bed. she is the one who figures out hunter's never had a proper birthday party and quickly remedies that.

she meets the elder clawthornes and absorbs every piece of wisdom they give her as if they were her own grandparents. she learns palisman care from dell clawthorne so she can better take care of stringbean whenever luz leaves her palisman with her mom. she gets roped into learning how to carve wood by hunter during the start of his apprenticeship under dell & the bat queen.

her name ends up in the history books of the boiling isles, and not just for being known as the mother of luz the human. she becomes known for being the reason of the sudden boom in witches who focus in beast-healing and the reinvention of the entire industry on the boiling isles. she is known as one of the first people to rediscover and establish contact and fight for the protection of all the basilisks scattered across the boiling isles, who were previously thought to be extinct.

Alot of them are not connected, and alot of them are- I'll try to organize it as accessible + readable as possible !!

☁️Pagan!Revivedbur. (I actually created a whole pagan!dsmp thing one time off of this headcannon, might talk more about it some time-). I'd like to think he'd be into candle magic and shit, but overall have a very open path/practice.

⛤Revivedbur openly respects Ghostbur, and clings to the things he left behind.

so basically my friend told me today about her dream she had that involved a demon and of course my mind went “...SAIOU AU”

here’s our convo so it makes sense:

if I had the motivation i would DEFINITELY write a fic about this- the fluff/crack/angst potential is t h e r e

and as a bonus doodle,

story is under the cut (it’s long)

“I was gonna keep this in tags but hsdf;j” is what I originally wrote here until I started thinking about this more and sorta wrote the whole plot-

-> as ouma’s killing the other monster things he flirts with shuuichi while the poor demon has never been flirted with so he’s stood there all confused and ??? (his version of blushing would be like, the fire coming from his small horns gets bigger and brighter)

-> the one he summons ends up being like. kaede and they both just end up having to lecture shuuichi on why it is that he should not want to die so easily

-> eventually kokichi and kaede wanna give him a hug so they try to but shuuichi’s Extra Hot™ (from being a demon and also probably blushing) so they both immediately regret that choice but kokichi laughs and gives an obligatory pun about shuuichi being hot which only confuses him because ‘of course im hot?? im a demon??’ while kaede explains what ouma meant

-> imagine shuuichi crying (fire tears..) at the generosity of these two strangers who a) aren’t absolutely terrified of him, b) refuse to hurt him and c) actually *want* to help him and ouma actually inwardly understanding a little bc he’d never imagine someone actually wanting to be with himself either

-> saihara now wanting to know what it’s like to live as a human with ouma and akamatsu but being unable to find a way (except for maybe being undercover?) but promising he’ll bring ouma back to him (he’s aware of the whole aging phenomenon in the lil demon world so he wants to keep their time short) and ouma finding that now he has something to look forward to

-> the 👏 mutual 👏 pining 👏 that commences after they both have to leave each other (if kaede knows kokichi in the real world she’d definitely tease him a little knowing he has a crush- this is probably good potential for building oumaede friendship)

-> it takes a while before ouma and saihara can see eachother again because getting the two to escape without killing saihara exerted a lot of energy on him, but they do get to! about once a month to be safe, and they get to know stuff about eachother like which shops ouma likes to steal from and shuuichi’s really loud demon friend he once had (aka momota)

-> one day though saihara tells ouma that if he keeps doing this he’ll die of exhaustion (it takes a lot of energy from saihara to get ouma in and out of there) and ouma calling him an idiot but really being worried. saihara tells him not to worry about him even if something happens to him, and makes ouma go back to the real world

-> ouma doesn’t hear from him after that

-> he worries he might have been killed or saihara forgot about him and feels stupid for being so hopeful in something so childishly impossible and starts trying to forget about him

-> the real world is aware of demons cause people talk about them (and obvs you can tell when someone’s gone to their.. dimension thing because you can visibly see them age) so still denying that he’s curious and likes saihara still, ouma tries to go to libraries and do his own research on demons and ends up finding out that saihara specifically comes from a bloodline that makes him quite powerful if not for that he wouldnt want to take the risks that come with it and then lowkey gets excited again for saihara while still in ✨denial ✨

-> it’s been almost a year when saihara has enough energy (and more) to ensure that his new plan is successfully carried out and that ouma (and potentially 1 more..) gets back to the real world safely. he created this plan when he figured out how to exist in the real world- by sacrificing the thing he cares most about

-> so when ouma suddenly gets that off-feeling people get when they’re leaving the real world he feels very many emotions at once (giddily going ”ohh my god its not this it cant be this no way oh heck tthisis not happening not a chance”) until he sees the face he’s been waiting 4 months for again except this time it looks.. frighteningly cold

-> ouma’s instincts are screaming at him that something is very, very wrong here especially when he can’t hear any warmth when saihara says “Welcome back, Ouma. It’s your final time” and explains the whole ‘kill these monsters then kill me’ thing again

-> ouma’s confusion inevitably turns to annoyance as he kills the dudes (there appears to be a lot more than there was last time) and fires questions at saihara (‘is this saihara?’ ‘what happened to you??’ ‘do you even remember me?’) while saihara stays silent for the whole time thinking about how he really doesn’t want to be doing this. 

-> eventually ouma decides he was wrong (again) to have put his faith in a guy- a demon- he only met once a month.. even if said demon gave him something to look forward to

-> when he finally gets to saihara alone he internally notes that saihara cant look him in the eye, but he finally speaks to tell ouma that now either himself or ouma will now die (saihara knows this is for sake of the sacrifice, but he can’t let ouma know else it won’t work)

-> ouma refuses to fight him again, expecting saihara to snap back into the meek demon from a year and some months ago, but rather than that happening saihara actually says something like “if you won’t kill me, I’ll have to kill you” and swings at him

-> even if ouma was on his full guard, he still would’ve been surprised by how strong saihara actually could be when he tried to fight- and of course saihara can’t stop now that he’s started but ouma hears the hesitation when saihara asks “are you going to kill me yet?” and gets annoyed that the whole time he spent with him and even akamatsu meant nothing. saihara smiles sadly knowing he’s achieving his goal but ouma thinks he’s smiling at the thought of dying and gets somehow even more annoyed

-> during their whole fight, insert “I’m alone, Ouma, and I will always be” line from saihara, “No amount of talking can convince me otherwise, Ouma. I’m sorry it took so long, but it was foolish of you to trust a demon you met only once” or something and yes it hurts saihara too but ouma’s staying silent and before saihara can continue, ouma fires back with “You’re right- you are meant to be alone. You were always meant to be that kind of guy” and stops dodging to start finally attacking- this is when saihara knows he’s pretty much achieved his target: sacrificing ouma’s trust in him

-> just as ouma swipes at him, saihara’s lil spell thing is activated that takes saihara back to the real world, disguised so people don’t see him as a demon. but now ouma thinks he’s just killed saihara (I just attacked him. and he is gone. i dont know what that light was but i must have just killed him. oh my god im a murderer.”)

-> saihara hiding in the forest to do the lil spell thing again but on ouma (all the time he spent saving on energy was worth it) so ouma gets transported to the real world too and immediately runs to tell akamatsu everything that happened

-> saihara trying to find to blend in with humans from what he remembers of how they act but he doesnt need to particularly eat he just needs a heck ton of sleep so he basically just lives in the forest now. he’s very sensitive to water so he actively stays away from it too (it wont kill him but it does make him sick). he’s still feverishly warm but not scalding and he also decides to work at a store to fit in more

-> ouma regretting what he did to saihara even though saihara hurt him first and realising he misses him

-> saihara ends up accidentally bumping into him at the store he works at that ouma conveniently steals from a lot (”Ouma, you’d make a good demon” “Nishishi! What do you mean? I’m a perfect little angel!”) and saihara gasping when he notices ouma’s unforgettable purple hair and cute smile.

-> ouma finding something familiar about this awkward new staff with the cute face and deciding he’ll visit the shop more often to see this stranger and not because said stranger might help him get over his demon crush

-> then they get to know eachother again for the 2nd time, and as much as this guy is really cute, he clearly knows more than he’s letting on... so of course ouma’s gotta now pay even more attention to him. just so he knows what the guy’s hiding. not cause he wants to know him.

-> one day saihara is sick from trying to protect himself from the rain (cause yk, water bad) so he stays in the forest instead of coming in to focus his energy on getting better and also not blowing his cover. ouma notices he isnt there on that day and asks other staff members where he lives and they’re all like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

-> it rains quite a bit after that, inevitably making saihara even more sick and in turn needing time away to himself, so ouma starts getting worried when saihara stops coming to work

-> saihara really wants to see him though, so one day he tries to drag himself to work in a terrible state where he’s actually almost cold for once and collapses after trying to run to ouma. ouma sees him and tells his manager he cant work nd takes him home himself where saihara wakes up confused

-> ouma lecturing saihara because he worried him and the way he fell reminded him of.. someone (demon shuu).. then he asks vague questions to saihara about if he’s ever met a demon and half-confesses to having met one himself multiple times and ending up falling in love and then probably killing them

-> saihara, in his tired state, tells him his story of how he was raised to believe he had no purpose other than to meet someone who would kill him, eventually finding that person but instead of looking at him with fear or anger he looked at him with admiration and playfulness, how the guy meant to kill him refused to and flirted w him instead. ouma has probably clicked on by this point but saihara continues to tell him he wanted to protect that guy with the power he had so he took time away from his first ‘job’ to find out how to be with him. saihara is probably shaking at this point while he continues telling him about how he found out he had to sacrifice the most important thing to him, so he “went and had a terrible argument with him one day and i ran away. but i’ve never stopped looking for him since, he showed me that even a demon like me can fall in love” (there’s the ✨grand confession ✨)

-> ouma saw it coming from the moment saihara started speaking, but that didnt stop him from being utterly paralysed. of COURSE saihara has to say “When I said you’d make a good demon I really wasn’t lying. Your hand is so warm it could fool even me” which possibly makes ouma completely combust before absolutely bolting out the door and calling akamatsu to tell her to get to his house (”AKAMATSU-CHAN I’M GONNA DIE RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON’T GET HERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THIS SECOND”)

-> while waiting for kaede, shuuichi explains that he needs to be Warm™ and immediately holds kokichi’s hold again, while the other’s having a gay panic.. and he doesnt know how to feel because on one hand, his beloved demon is.. right here, in the ‘flesh’, holding his hand, telling him he fell in love with him.. but on the other hand, that doesnt excuse the confusion and hurt he put him through back then, not being able to see him for a whole damn year.. 

-> ouma ignores all the feelings when akamatsu arrives where she’s brought water and blankets (just in case- i feel like shes the kind of friend who would do that) so saihara takes the blankets and ouma takes the water and she calms them both down and gets them to explain everything slowly and in their own time. its awkward esp for ouma who isnt particularly close with her, but they manage it in the end

-> they decide shuuichi literally cant live in the forest so of course now he has to live with ouma but akamatsu offers to help if it ever gets too much for ouma which obviously ouma denies. she leaves soon and its just them but ouma needs some time to himself to clear his head and he only returns late to see saihara asleep clinging onto akamatsu’s blanket with his life lmao so ouma sighs and brings him more. and if he kisses the sleeping demon’s forehead, nobody has to know

-> ofc its still very much awkward and it takes ouma getting used to having even just another presence in his home, let alone his sort-of-unofficial-demon-bf and saihara’s still sleeping a lot of the time but recovering

-> they probably establish their feelings for eachother properly when they’re more mentally prepared for it, and then 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨 (they kiss) and are now actually legally boyfriends. i absolutely cannot let this end in angst so they’re happy and love eachother now yay the end

Miraculous ladybug rant

Alright alright, I dont like getting in to "ship wars" or participating in ship culture or any of that nonsense

but here are my thoughts.

when master fu first gave Adrien and Marinette their respective kwamis he said that "they were meant for each other," and we all took it to mean Adrien and Marinette were meant for one another. However, im going to choose that it meant the kwamis and the kids were meant for each other, since that makes more sense then some random old dude shipping two preteens together. Another reason for this interpretation? because otherwise it is the author telling us something instead of showing us. In season one we were shown that Adrien and Marinette were kind people both with their own set of flaws, but Adrien hardly even talked to Marinette until towards the end of season 1 and there was never even the slightest bit of indication he thought of her as anything but a friend, if even that. So being out right told that "these two characters are my end game, even if they have no chemistry whatsoever, I created these two to be together so thats it, now just wait for them to get together." feels like a twist of fate that just feels forced.

So when the show introduces rivals to create some fabricated tension for the main couple (that still hasn't got much screen time to even be believable) you might think the main couple might start showing more initiative towards each other. Instead we have Kagami who Adrien actually shows interest towards. When she is in the episode they interact far more then Adrien and Marinette ever seem to and he encourages her to befriend his friends so they are closer. Marinette gets jealous sure, but... lets be honest, when it comes to Adrien, Marinette gets jealous of everyone. She is just as bad as Chloe, she's just nicer about it.

Then for Marinette we are introduced to Luka. A soft spoken, very mature guy. From day one Luka showed more interest in Marinette, connected with her quickly and SAW Marinette. He has already confessed to her and Marinette reciprocates but is hung up on the fantasy she has of Adrien Agreste.

So instead of tension to push the main couple towards each other, we are introduced to two very likable alternatives that both Marinette and Adrien show more interest towards then each other. And yet.... the author tweets out that the characters "disagree" with the viewers. As a writer myself, there are times I realize that the characters Ive created and wanted to be together just... arent going to be together. This certainly gets some readers riled up as they decided from chapter 1 who should be together and they get upset if it doesnt happen. but im not about forcing two people together just because its in high demand or if it was the original plan. When the characters themselves show interest in other people, or have minds of their own, then.... who am I as the author to force them to change just because I want them to? My job is to tell their story, not forcefully make them do what I want as if they are puppets. being told that (specifically) Luka and Marinette disagree with the idea of liking/dating each other and yet having the evidence in the writing itself that that isnt true. feels like the author themself is trying to force the characters to do what they want instead of letting the characters do what they want. (any good story allows characters to do what they want, the plot follows the characters, the characters dont follow the plot)

I know Adrien and Marinette's meeting was attempted to be played off as a version of enemies to lovers trope. but it didnt really work. there was no development for them to start liking each other, we got one scene with the umbrella in the rain that changed Marinette's mind about this kid she saw as a bully, but Adrien was just desperately trying to not be hated. He didnt like her, he wasnt trying to win her heart romantically. His actions only showed how bad his home life is when it comes to emotional support. Not any semblance of a kid being attracted to, interested in, or trying to win over the other person.

Im curious how future seasons will play out, but Id be lying if I said I was actually looking forward to them. I have a hard time sitting through episodes of MLB, in fact I tend to skip through most episodes because the majority of the writing makes me cringe. whenever it doesnt, I watch, which Ive found are the episodes Where Marinette is being herself and not freaking out over Adrien and not being jealous of anyone who so much as looks at Adrien. (writing this I suddenly wonder if Marinette is a yandere trope) And the episodes where characters interact with each other in believable, mature ways.

what are your favorite jonas and martha scenes in season3?

oh my god they KILLED me this season!! i always loved jonas and og martha (moreso on my rewatch before s3) but the way jonas and alt-martha interact kills me because like.. she’s the person he loves most in the world but isn’t at the same time and she has no idea who he is but they’re literal soulmates, the origin of everything, adam and eve, and then the angels at the end who save everything and everyone.. s3 for them was just... a lot lol

as far as moments go, one that majorly stands out to me is when they’re in martha’s room after visiting the middle aged version of her and the interaction they have right before they kiss and then have sex is so perfect... like the way she’s like “when you walked in the door i swear i knew you like i had seen you in a dream before” WHICH SHE HAD WHEN SHE WAS A KID BUT IT WASN’T A DREAM!!! and then she gets sad and insecure and upset and is like “the martha in your world.. what was she like? was she like me?” because she knows he loved that martha and she starts crying and then he puts his nasty ass gross dirty fingernails hand on her face to comfort her and then HE starts crying and she also strokes his cheek and UGH THE WAH THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND THE VULNERABILITY OF THAT MOMENT IS INCREDIBLE THE CHEMISTRY IS INSANE like the moment is so delicate and quiet and there’s barely any dialogue for the whole like 2 minutes or so of that moment besides her lines but it’s so so vulnerable and you can tell they’re both scared and confused because they’ve just been told they have to save the world in like 2 days and they both need comfort and he loves the other version of her but not her and she knows that but she needs him in that moment and they’re both crying and ugh i could go on forever about that moment (AND THEN HOW LABRYNTH SONG PLAYS LATER DURING THE MONTAGE WHEN THEYRE HAVING SEX.. THE L Y R I C S like genuinely fits them and the show so perfectly and i’ve thought about making a lyric analysis breakdown of that song in relation to them and the show lol)

and the scene in front of the cave where jonas is explain the suicide mission they have to go on to alt martha and is like “we’re the problem.. we’re the glitch in the matrix”... which is a direct callback to the scene og martha and jonas share in the very first episode where they’re like “déjà vu is a glitch in the matrix” “or a message from the other side”.. THE TWO DIFFEFENT WORLDS ahskdhajs the whole show was in front of us the entire time and i have a post explaining this moment in detail (and other ones that i’m describing here that i’ll link when i’m not on mobile) but oh my goodness realizing that the theme of glitch in the matrix was actually THEM the whole time.. incredible

oh my god wait and speaking of the cave the moment earlier on in the season after she cuts her face and they go to visit eva and he’s like “this is wrong, i’m wrong here” and she’s like “this is wrong??” (they literally just had sex the night before) and kisses him passionately and then just walks away and how that’s a DIRECT parallel to the scene of them in the rain in 1x9.. THE WRITING IN THIS SHOW

oh my god and then later in the cave when he returns the question (after having just met alt martha again for the first time) and is like “the jonas in your world.. what was he like..?” and they’re both crying and THE LOOK ON HER FACE BECAUSE HE DOESNT KNOW WHAT THEY DID TOGETHER AND THAT THEY HAD THAT NIGHT AND THAT THEY KIND OF FELL IN LOVE AND THAT THERE IS NO JONAS IN HER WORLD OH MY GOD UGH and then the blue glitter starts twirling through the air and they both look at it in awe and sadness with tears cascading down their faces because they both know this is their fate, they’re about to sacrifice themselves and not exist anymore and it’s so beautifully filmed and they know it’s what they have to do but they’re about to die so it’s so sad ugh

and then the FUCKING LIGHT TUNNEL SCENE and how he and alt martha have known of each other their entire lives despite living in different worlds and not realizing it until they’re on a suicide mission to save the world.. GOD and the way when they meet up they just looK at each other and know that this is the moment they have to go and jonas sets up the time machine and they walk forwards into the light, hand in hand, leaving their fates of becoming adam and eva behind and instead becoming the angels that save everyone

and then their death scene... the way they realize seeing themselves as children wasn’t a dream, it was a MEMORY!! and martha is like “is that all we’ll be now, a dream?” and they’re both crying AGAIN BECAUSE THEY BOTH CRIED THE ENTIRE SEASON TOGETHER and they start glitter fading away into gold and jonas looks at her, finally peaceful because he’s completed his hero’s journey of stopping his own existence despite he’s about to die, and he says THE LINE to martha one last time “we’re a perfect match” and reaches out his hand for her to hold and she holds it back and he steps closer and says “never believe anything else” and they they both fade away together... i just.. it was the most perfect ending to their story ever and i’m so so happy with the way that scene was done.. the fact that as he’s dying he reminds her that he loves her and that they’re soulmates despite that not being HIS martha or his alt-martha that he spent all that time with.... and they both have no idea that martha is pregnant with their child....just leave me in a puddle of tears

anyways jonas x martha 4ever i love them (og and alt) and their dynamic is just incredible and the way they interacted and pieced together what they had to do in season 3.. so incredible and beautiful and bittersweet and heartbreaking.. also yeah anytime there was any sense of parallel to something earlier that was then repeated between them drives me CRAZY and gets me SO emotional bc the show is all about repetition and time and so the parallels are all symbolic and the creators of this show are pure genuines for the way they craft this and lisa vicari and louis hofmann are just so brilliant and their performances as martha and jonas and the chemistry they have and the strength and vulnerability and complexity they bring to both of their characters.. just incredible i can’t say enough wonderful things i love them and this show so much <3

Boy can I anon! :) Apologies as well for the late reply, i wanted to take my time for this one.

essentially the TL/DR version is: this character has been neglected and abused his entire life, believing he didn't belong anywhere with anyone. only after realizing his parents and Rey actually care about him does he gain the courage to “do the right thing.” He’s then written unceremoniously out of existence after saving and kissing Rey, only being happy for 10 seconds in hid entire life. Aint that dandy! :)

Idk how short of an explanation you want, but i also decided to list all of his major character arcs within his lifetime, simply because i care about this character A LOT. I haven’t written anything like an essay in a while, so i really couldn’t help myself haha. This list is also chronological, but ill keep it under a read-more for easy scrolling.

PRE-TFA

A happy toddler who loved his parents and "uncles"

His parents loved him very much but didn’t treat him as a priority. Leia tended to focus on her political career and Han couldn’t shake his old nomadic ways. As a result, Ben ended up very isolated.

As he grew stronger and keener to the isolation, his parents feared him and his emotions. Leia sent him away to Luke’s academy, despite Han not wanting Ben to go.

Made friends in the academy, but still a loner. All the while the voices in his head (Snoke/palpatine) are growing louder and louder

Luke forcibly saw into his mind, intent on ending ben’s life until changing his mind. Naturally this upset Ben, seeing as he figured what was left of his family that cared about him wanted him dead. He then collapsed the building, trapping Luke inside.

While deciding to run away, a storm (inferably caused by Snoke/Palpatine) struck fire to the Jedi Temple, killing the students inside. Ben attempted to save a few, but failed.

Ran into the arms of the First Order and the Knights of Ren, since snoke gaslit him into believing it was the only place he could be.

Trained under The KOR and Snoke as a dark side force warrior. Mainly used asa spiritual tool to snuff out Jedi rather than a political tool for the FO.

Tasked with finding Luke Skywalker, sets the beginning of TFA in motion.

Chooses not to acknowledge Finn’s deflection

immediately gets distracted from his mission of finding bb8 once learning there is a girl involved with this situation.

remains primarily on the defense while subduing rey, carries her away manually to his ship for interrogation. its notable to mention that Han was completely unworried for rey as she was being taken; he knew rey was strong enough to resist and he knew his son’s shortcomings. 

willingly unmasks to rey while interrogating her; this is to show the audience that not only is he making himself more vulnerable and relatable to rey, but also to show that he’s completely opposite to what rey was expecting.

Their connection is formed as they push into each other’s minds

snoke tells him to kill his father in order to complete the training. ben loves his father dearly but genuinely believes he’s too far gone to do anything contradictory to snoke’s orders.

senses it when han arrives at Starkiller, and ignores him. referential material implied that kylo wanted to give han the chance to escape, but when Han sought him out then he reacted.

kills han, the deed “splitting him to the bone” 

survived, but gravely injured by Chewbacca’s bowcaster blast (shown previously blowing up 6 troopers at once). Sees Finn and Rey, becoming enraged, and follows them.

intercepts rey and finn in the forrest. angrily taunts them while beating his wounds. sends rey back into a tree in self-defense. demands to take the legacy saber, fighting with finn in the process. its notable that his fighting style while on the offensive is extremely akin to a berserker method; precise and accurate but brutal and excessive. ends up slashing finn and rendering him unconscious.

is in awe of rey’s ability to call the saber to her, fights her less-aggressively in order to corner her and offer her guidance. naturally she refuses, and taps into the force to overpower him and leave him bleeding on Starkiller as her and Finn rejoin the resistance.

TLJ

approaches snoke in his throneroom, visibly injured and emotional as a result of his fight with rey and the death of his father. snoke mocks his “weak” emotional state and calls him a “child in a mask.”

is hurt by snoke’s remark, an destroys his mask in a rage.

leads an arial attack on the Resistance ships, demonstrating his skills as a pilot. When he has an opportunity to blow up his mother’s ship, he doesn’t; he loves her far too much and cant physically bring himself to repeat the horror of killing Han. Unfortunately, one of the TIE pilots do instead. (later he is relieved to still feel his mother through the force.)

while in a medbay getting treatment for his scar, the force connects him with rey for the first time. both are surprised by this turn of events, and Kylo is more curious as to the logistics of the connection rather than being angry at the sudden appearance of his enemy.

connects with rey again as she is in the rain, still fascinated by how exactly the bond works. rey is still enraged by his presence as he casually mentions that Luke isnt the saintly figure she sees him as. Agrees with her as she angrily calls him a monster; instead of a taunt its actually a display of self-loathing. he then wipes his face after their connection ends, demonstrating that the bond they share permeates a physical space (as well as being a metaphor of the palpable tension between him and rey).

connects with rey again, this time with him in a state of partial undress. rey asks him if he could put a shirt on and he doesn't, despite the fact his shirt is on the desk a few feet away. the narrative purpose of this introduction is to show that rey is physically attracted to him and he knows it.

tells rey his story of Luke attempting to kill him, then tells her his nihilistic outlook of “letting the past die.” they disconnect, but rey ends up following his advice and explores the darker part of the island (a metaphor for HER darker side).

Later connects with rey again as she tearfully tells how alone she felt while in the cave attempting to find herself. Him, visibly touched by her story and the fact she trusts him enough to confess something so personal, tearfully tells her that she’s not alone. they then touch hands, doing so granting them visions of the supposed future. Luke angrily blasts apart the cabin, forcefully ending their connection.

Rey flies to him on the Supremacy, and he cuffs her to take her to snoke. (It’s important to mention that in the novel adaptation of the movie, it’s more of a playful and flirtatious banter between the two instead of a prisoner/hostage situation.) While on the elevator rey begs him to join her, as he counters and says that she’ll eventually join him instead.

While in snoke’s throne room, Kylo submissively kneels as snoke tortures rey for information. he occassionally looks up woefully at her, and eventually turns the saber on snoke after saying “he knows what he has to do.” He and rey team up to fight the Praetorian Guards and end up defeating them together.

Pleads with Rey to join him in leading the darkside as rey pleads with him to save the resistance fleet. Kylo tells her that he saw who her parents were and that she was nothing to them and had no place in that particular story. he then clumsily adds “but not to me” and begs her to join him again. the two then fight over the legacy saber, only to have it explode and knock them both back.

passed out from both the blast of the saber and Holdo blasting through the ship, kylo awakens to find rey gone. heartbroken and furious at her supposed betrayal of his trust, he violently declares himself the new Supreme Leader and orders an attack on Crait.

on Crait, he shows that not only is he deeply impulsive, but also an ultimately poor leader. he’s fine until noticing the millenium falcon, then finally loses it in a fury of rage and heartbreak. Luke skywalker understands the irrational state his nephew is in, and takes advantage of his irrationality to aid the resistance. his fight with luke was simply a distraction and taunt, resulting in a massive tactical failure.

kneels in defeat while clutching his father’s lucky dice, only to be connected with rey one more time. she distainfully “shuts the door” on him, and he recoils sadly as the dice disappear.

PRE-TROS

featured in supplimental material as a ruthless leader, hellbent on finding the resistance and eliminating threats to the First Order.

is shown to take plenty of self-assigned solo missions, implying that he doesnt truthfully care about the governmental aspect of being supreme leader.

TROS 

Begins the film on Mustafar, fighting a band of cultists dedicated to Darth Vader, taking the wayfinder they were protecting. in earlier drafts of the movie (as well as probable deleted scenes) Kylo then sees a character known as the Oracle on Mustafar, who cryptically tells him about Palpatine, Rey’s heritage, as well as his affection for rey that he attempts to deny.

he flies to Exogol, where he discovers that it was actually palpatine whos been manipulating him his entire life. threatens to kill palpatine but humors him as palpatine offers promises of utter domination if kylo could kill rey. naturally he has no intention of doing so.

Later connects with rey as she is training. its unclear if hes the one making the training droid react negatively to her or if hes simply observing her and attempting to catch her off-guard.

unites with the knights to rebuild his mask (for some reason).

informs the First Order officials he knows one of them is a spy (for some reason). 

connects with rey as she’s on pasaana, taunting her and stealing her necklace in order to track her location.

arrives to pasaana and witnesses rey trying to drag a ship down. holds back the ship in order to see if she’d tap into the dark side to bring it down, which she does.

follows rey to kijimi as she boards his ship and steals the dagger he has. tells her the “true history” of her parentage while also stating that he’d never lie to her. they fight (him on defensive) and she destroys his room. they meet again in person, him unmasking to show hes being sincere in proposing to her again; saying they’re a dyad and they belong together. she denies, again, and flees. 

meets her again on the Death Star, remarking that neither of them could return to the light since the pair of them are too far ingrained into the dark. He destroys the wayfinder she found, believing they’ll only get to Exogol together. they fight, again, with him on the defensive, again.

towards the end of their fight its clear that rey is exhausted, so he backs away and lowers his weapon. however, at this exact instance, Leia chooses to call out to him via the force. (it is unclear if she does this to distract him or if she does this because she knows she’s ill and wants to see him before she passes.) While he is distracted, rey grabs his saber and fatally stabs him. he collapses, feeling his mother’s death and the resignation that the woman hes in love with ended him. However, rey immediately regrets hurting him and uses the force to heal him. she confesses that had he been Ben rather than Kylo, she would’ve taken his hand. 

While gazing out to sea alone, Kylo hears the voice of his father. He turns, and it met with a vision of Han. Han tells him to “come home” and that the light within Ben was always there. Han caresses his cheek like he did in TFA. Ben, crying, starts to say something but is so overcome with emotion that all he can manage is “dad.” Han smiles and says “i know,” a callback to his line to Leia in ESB.  With the forgiveness of his father and the newfound strength and motivation, ben throws his saber into the ocean, effectively cementing his persona Kylo Ren officially dead.

as rey is in danger on Exogol, Ben flies an abandoned TIE (inferably left in the Death Star wreckage) there and sprints, armed with only a blaster, and launches himself into danger to help rey.

their bond connects as she’s about to pledge to the sith and as the knights of ren are about to kill him. he wordlessly assures her that he’s there for her and that its ok to reveal that shes part of a dyad. she agrees, passing along her saber to him through their bond. Ben kills the Knights as rey kills the sith guardians.

the pair of them reunite, but only for palpatine to sap their life force, made more powerful due to them being a dyad. once significantly weakened, Palpatine launches Ben into a pit. 

After defeating palpatine, rey dies. Ben manages to climb out of the pit and crawls over to rey, severely injured. he then embraces her lifeless body and cries for her, knowing then what he needs to do.

Ben heals rey with the force, bringing her back to life. Rey, elated to see him, cups his face as he cries and smiles feebly. she kisses him and caresses his face again, him smiling and chucking for the first time the entire series. At peace and healed by the redemptive power of being in love and having that person love him back in return.

he then immediately falls over dead and disappears into the force, thereby ruining all semblance of a skywalker legacy and redemption arc. FOR. SOME. REASON.
