"Seeing Sigma back at Fukuchi's shouldn't have been as startling as it was, considering Fyodor was well aware they were going to be there, but it was nevertheless.
They were just.. Standing there, at the door, engaged in what Fyodor could only assume to be a rather unpleasant conversation with Fukuchi. The sight made him uneasy, the sudden urge to turn around and go home forcing its way through his thoughts. Of course, he quickly dismissed the idea; he couldn't go home, he was here to get paid.
As if some otherworldly force was out to get him, Sigma glanced over in his direction, catching his gaze. They faltered mid-sentence, face twisting up as the two made eye-contact. Fukuchi turned to look over, gaze lingering on Sigma in an unspoken question before finally settling on Fyodor.
"I'm not late, am I?""

im bored and tired and get talkative when these things are occuring at the same time so yes im still posting-
Lowkey am not looking forward to going back to school and feeling like shit bc we're learning abt Empathy in health class and ppl, including one of our health teachers, have been like- idk the word but basically shitting on ppl with low empathy, unintentionally including us.
We have a hard time understanding empathy, and alot of the times dont feel empathy for others, or atleast what most ppl describe as empathy. thats not "normal", lacking empathy even the slightest bit is "messed up", and people with little to no empathy are "weird", we fucking get it. (None of those things are true btw, theyre just examples of things we've been hearing lately in school <3.)
i want to eradicate neurotypicals- /mostly j there are some nice ones-
To anyone who has low empathy, or just a lack of empathy, or any form of empathy that people dont deem "normal", i fucking love you guys, you arent bad people because of how you experience empathy (if you do that is), and you're just as human as everyone else <333 /gen

Heating pad/ Chronic pain PSA
Heating pads can burn you.
They can burn you quite badly.
I saw a post the here other day that asked how to “get rid of heating pad marks.”
Folks. If you have “heating pad marks” those are burns. And they can become much, much worse if you continue to use a heating pad on the same area of your body.
I know most folks with chronic pain scoff when we read the warnings on a heating pad. “Don’t lie on this pad.” Yeah. Sure. Lying on it is exactly the main thing you’ll be doing.
But please. Please always have a layer of protective fabric between the pad and your skin. Never, ever use a pad directly on your bare skin.
Never fall asleep on a heating pad. I know it’s easy to do, but you’re much more at risk for getting a bad burn when you’re asleep.
And never combine use of a heating pad with a topical analgesic (like Icy Hot, A535, Tiger Balm, Voltaren, Lakota creams or roll ons, essential oils or any other topical pain reliever) the oils and plant compounds in these products will accelerate burns. Do not apply anything to your skin and then use a heating pad.
And if you burn your skin, take a break from using the heating pad. I know that’s hard because many of us rely so heavily on them for pain management.
But you can permanently damage your skin by repeatedly burning it and dramatically increase your risk of cancer by doing so.
Be careful.
Please reblog this for the chronically ill folks in your life/ who follow you who use a heating pad

for able-bodied people, here are some signs your friend/loved one/coworker with chronic pain is in discomfort, because we've been incentivized to lie by ableist bullying and often don't know if we can trust you:
their breathing gets heavier or less regular - if you can hear it, they're probably hurting
they're moving more slowly than usual
it takes them longer to get up
they seem anxious, irritable, or upset
they sound mad when you ask them for something (honestly not mad at you! It's just the pain being Loud)
they tire easily during travel/social events
they rock from side to side or back and forth while sitting or standing (could be a stim, could also be a need to lie down)
could just be me but my voice gets noticeably higher when im in severe pain
they want to be someplace less open/more private/closer to home on a bad pain day, even in public. in school i was notorious for going to classrooms or the library for lunch instead of the lunchroom - it was too much for me w my pain.
to partners, being clingy, snuggly, or having their s*x drive go up (we need those endorphins!)
i hope this helps, and i'm happy to answer any questions.

hey, if you have a friend with a disability/chronic pain, here’s a helpful tip! /gen
there’s a phenomenon in chronic pain patients where they don’t express pain the same way people who don’t experience chronic pain do. if we reacted to all level 5/10 pain like everyone else, we’d be exhausted constantly because it takes a lot of energy to scream and cry.
sometimes, a pain response looks like shutting down. for me, i tighten up, my breathing gets more labored and intentional, and i tend to move very little. if you have a friend with chronic pain and you notice these cues, ask them if they’re okay and what they need. if they need to be left alone, leave em alone. if they need support, support them. if they need meds or to be taken somewhere else, do that. trust me, they would appreciate it very much.
