I'm so glad to see that people have understood the assignment here...

I personally feel like there are so many potential ways this kind of interaction could go:

If you think about it, Catwalker's main goal was to become the perfect partner for Ladybug, So if that is considered, does Catwalker change? Does he become the perfect partner for Shadybug? Or does he fit into the archetype of perfect that his father had laid out for him. Because, of course, Catwalker isn't really the "perfect partner" for Ladybug, he is what he thinks he should be, he's what he has been told he should be for the last 14 years.

So, presumably it would make sense for Catwalker to continue acting the way he was previously, with minor deviations depending on the needs and attitude of Shadybug.

But then you have Shadybug...

Considering her background, having someone supportive and giving like Catwalker around, might throw her completely off balance, it might confuse her and make her aggressive.

Shadybug has grown up in a world where she has learned not to trust people, not to rely on people. Even with her own partner, she has a contentious relationship with.

In fact, the first time we actually see people treat her with kindness, is in Marinette's bedroom, with Sabine and Claw Noir. After Sabine shows concern for her well-being and Claw Noir puts a hand on her shoulder, she meets both actions with hostility and anger, she yells at Sabine and pushes away angrily from Claw Noir.

It takes Marinette's persistence to be the first act to get Shadybug to break down her walls, a persistence that may or may not be enacted by the at time passive and unsure Catwalker.

Cat Walker might try with all his might, may attempt to give her pep-talk after pep-talk, and this may all end with her brushing him off and him trying to leave her alone.

But this is also Adrien... and it might just end with him continuing, with him lending an ear, a shoulder, a kind word, or even just the warmth of his presence to her. It might lead to a reluctant partnership to maybe then a haphazard camaraderie, to maybe even a change in heart on the part of Shadybug. She might decide to take a chance to open up to the boy who never gives up, to the one person who sticks around

There is so much possibility with the two of them, it just depends on how much of a risk they are both willing to take

Can we talk about how in the show Lestat and Armand are framed as narrative foils. Armand and Lestat who are both so aggressively theater kids, but Lestat who acts, who draws in the attention and holds it, and Armand who directs, who shapes and manipulates the narrative. Armand and Lestat's obsession with Louis and his love and frustration with his melancholy over Lestat and Claudia respectively. Who both felt second in his heart. Who fear loneliness above all else. Lestat taking what he wants to excess - no impulse control, and Armand letting things happen to him and trying to manipulate situations to get what he wants but never taking it. Armand, who even in the end, so much more powerful, never physically imposes himself on Louis. Armand who seeks complete control in subtle insidious ways. Lestat who seeks control in the physical. Armand and Lestat brought into vampire life in horrifying ways tangled up with SA. Armand who still talks about his maker with reverence, Lestat who hates his maker. Armand who pours all of himself into his partner, willing to shape himself into what they desire but ultimately needing control to feel safe. Lestat who pours all of his love into his partner but unwilling to change himself and ultimately cedes control in moments to maintain the relationship. Armand who clings to his breaking apart relationship for 77 YEARs, Lestat who let Louis go. Lestat and Armand who watch Claudia die, but one as a father and one as a murderer. Lestat and Armand so intense in their love but Lestat so painfully external and Armand so painfully internal as characters. Both constantly acting and putting on a face. Lestat as Mozart and Armand as Salieri (in the flashback scene!). Armand who loves routine and structure and repetion, Lestat who craves change and excitement. The calling cards are echos, who learned from who. Armand teaching Lestat the vampire gifts, Lestat teaching Armand a new way to live. on and on....

"You don't want me to see you what --jealous? Don't I have a right to know? Don't I deserve to be with you for this? We're lovers, and you still want to hide pieces of yourself from me?"

Trembling, you let yourself be drawn back into the penthouse. You couldn't fight him even if you tried.

He sets you on the bed, so he can push you down, curl up on top of you, all around you. Caging you in.

"There," he says. "You're not going anywhere. Would it help if I told you about all the times I wanted to kill anyone who touches you? How about how I want to lock you up, forever and ever? I can show you the collar I picked out, if that would make you feel better." He leans up so he can nibble your ear, whisper, "Or you could put it on me, if you want."

Laios: people are hard to understand... There's way too many social rules to follow, popular conversation topics, eye contact, etc. They also rarely say what they mean and often they say the opposite, so much so that misunderstandings happen regularly.. Monsters are predictable animals with a set of rules and precautions you can follow to either tame or defeat them. if you know what to do, they're very easy to deal with!

Kabru: monsters are wild creatures with jerky unpredictable movements.. Their attitude can change in a second and if you don't have an insane amount of knowledge about them they can be, and often are, very dangerous. Human cultures often have strict and easy to follow rules that depend on certain communication strategies that are somewhat agreed upon universally. People no matter of background also react the same to many things (smiling, frowning, pupil dilation, etc.). if you know what to do, they're very easy to deal with!

I was watching the episode where Merlin disguised himself as the “dolma” and I was feeling frustrated at Arthur’s lack of concern to Merlin’s whereabouts. It goes against everything we’ve ever seen of him. He never forgets Merlin and he’s never calm when Merlin is in potential danger.

So I was thinking to myself, why? Why would Arthur forget Merlin? And I remembered that, despite being an old woman sorceress, he immediately felt like he knew her somehow. She is everything that Merlin is not (to his knowledge), and yet he somehow knows her. Just like he did with “Dragoon”.

“You seem familiar, sorceress” - Arthur

And as the “dolma” points out he’s forgetting something, he jokes with her the exact way he does with Merlin. “Ah, I thought things had gone unusually smoothly” + other lines. Why would he do that?

Because a part of Arthur knows Merlin is standing right in front of him. He’s unable to recognize that he’s forgetting Merlin, because he can feel that he’s standing right there. He bickers with her because that’s Merlin. She has to explicitly point out that it’s Merlin he’s forgetting, in order for his brain to override his feelings.

Arthur always knew the true Merlin. Even if neither of them knew it.

The greatest mystery in bbc merlin to this day is just what was Arthur thinking every time he dragged Merlin into danger with him like some kind of emotional support plushie without any protection.

Sometimes I get the feeling Arthur thought he just made up Merlin in his mind and he isn't real. Like, he's just an imaginary friend who keeps him entertained, makes up silly words, understands him to the core and always has the right answers, often times answers he doesn't like, but the subconscious do be like that.

He doesn't need armour or any protection cause he isn't real. Plus it's easy to keep being mean to your best friend for no reason when you think he's actually you - and you're always mad at you
