The part about being independent and living on your own sucks when you're sick and mom's not here to make you some broth ☹️ So you gotta cook some by yourself, whining and sneezing the whole time.

#to be fair to my mom if I called her and told her I'm sick #she'd be at my doorstep by evening with a whole pot of broth; two bags of fruit and a homemade compote #last year when I had a really minor cold and just asked her to buy me some tissues she came with two full shopping bags #with tissues yes but also veggies fruit juices chocolate and a fucking plant #because nothing gets you out of the cold faster than a christmas cacti

My cactus <3

Heyo! It's been a bit since I made a post. School has been tough, like no joke, I have wanted to smash my head against the wall too many times these past few weeks. I really miss posting, but I also need to concentrate on school. இ௰இ It's taking up so much of my time that I barely have any time left. I cannot wait for the next two weeks to be over (and at the same anxious because all my assignments have to be done by then. And then elections, barf)

The good news is, though, that I got a cactus! My school gave out cacti as little buddies to help people study for their finals and important assignments. I took one home, and man, it is sharp! I stung myself so much on the commute. But I am happy with it, and I gave it a new pot because the original plastic pot was too small. Now, if it were to still grow, it can!

I am still deciding what to name it. I have a few ideas.

If anyone has any tips on caring for cacti, don't be afraid to tell me! I want to become a good plant dad.

Once again I am infodumping on people about the Sonoran Desert and other random animals.

I thank people for listening but I get the vibe that people don’t enjoy it (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)

#point number one the Sonoran desert is the best desert in the world #in terms of biodiversity it is the equivalent of the galagos islands #point two is that I was able to catch so many creatures there #point three I was able to find so many bones while hiking #point four SAGUARO CACTI no further explaining needed #point five you can harvest DMT from toads! you are only able to do so from roadkill though ethically #point six Mt Lemmon!! driving to the top is like driving from Mexico to Canada in under an hour #if you can’t tell I love it
