He starts talking about dance moves and I'm like "I've seen you hit the whip, but what about other moves? perhaps the nae nae?" Just being So annoying to him. ❋ As the (self-proclaimed) trainer for the Fairy Gala, Vil Schoenheit takes his role very seriously. Every minute detail matters to him, and he’s determined to whip this ‘potato parade’ into shape.

❋ Literally.

❋ Vil’s somehow managed to get his hands on a thin, leather whip, which he uses to motivate everyone (you don’t ask, but you strongly suspect that it’s been borrowed from Professor Crewel).

❋ Jamil and Kalim are (supposedly) meeting Vil’s (impossible) standards, since the whip is hardly aimed in their direction.

❋ Unfortunately, Leona isn’t doing as well.

❋ Understatement of the year.

❋ He’ll slouch, grumble, and roll his eyes, making it clear how he’s reluctantly going along with all of this . . . Anything he can do to get Vil all riled up. A vein is throbbing in Vil’s temple and you suspect that he’s this close to losing his patience.

❋ And in Vil’s attempt to snap the whip near him for attention, the end somehow smacks you right across your ass.

❋ SNAP!

❋ The sound echoes through the room, and your hand immediately flies to your ass, still feeling the sharp sting. After making sure that there’s no lasting damage, you spin around to level an indignant glare at Vil, teary-eyed and flushed.

❋ “Vil Schoenheit, you big pervert!”

❋ Unsurprisingly, your biggest wish at this moment is for the ground to open up and swallow you whole, anything to escape the embarrassment settling in. You can see the flicker of surprise on Vil’s face, his usual calm and collected demeanour cracking and giving way to a faint hint of pink on his cheeks.

❋ Vil’s eyes are wide and horrified. He raises a hand to his mouth, clearly mortified. "I assure you, that was accidental!" He’s a gentleman, for crying out loud! As if he’d ever do something improper to you, and in front of an audience!

❋ Meanwhile, the other boys are watching the unfolding drama. Leona, who’s been reluctantly following Vil’s orders all day, starts laughing at you both openly. Kalim is wide-eyed, looking between you both with his mouth agape in shock, and Jamil hides a smirk behind his palm.

❋ Crossing your arms, you continue staring at Vil, your glare less intimidating and more of a pout now. “Sure, accident . . .” You mutter sarcastically, trying to calm yourself down. “But you’re on thin ice, Schoenheit.”

❋ Practice resumes as per normal after that, without any further incidents.

❋ But Vil makes sure to be extra careful with the whip whenever you’re in the vicinity.

❋ (Leona takes a leaf from your book and proceeds to call Vil a ‘perv’ for the rest of the day, still snickering whenever he thinks about it.)

what i understand so far of Recent Twst Skully stuff

i have put tags for the twst nightmare before christmas event and tagged the character so this post has been labeled

this is from comparing and contrasting different translations from different folks, different translations from others, screenshots, and also youtube playthroughs (because i do not have twst jp but i am also deeply invested in the lore of Wonderland because it is SO GOOD)

Skully J Graves is considered a historical figure who founded the current Wonderland Halloween traditions (this implies that the skully we interacted with is from the past, and it seems he took sebek's words into consideration as the Current Wonderland Halloween traditions are not solemn and are instead festive and merry plus there's candy etc,)

Skully J Graves was once an NRC student. He eventually graduated and then spread the traditions of halloween in his life, he did this very successfully, enough so that he is considered the founder of Halloween.

Skully J Graves died a long time ago. He used to be an alumni, a student, CENTURIES BEFORE Crowley was even headmaster. ( which crowley has been a headmaster for NRC for quite some time so that's pretty freaking ancient. pretty far back in the time line i feel like)

Skully is dead, like beyond dead, he is a human who founded Wonderland Halloween literally centuries ago before a literal ancient FAE became Headmaster went there and crowley seems to have been headmaster for quite some time, so like Skully has very much been dead because he is an ANCIENT historical figure who founded a holiday before Crowley even took over.

Skully J Graves is heavily implied to still roam the lands as a ghost (people feel a phantom kiss on their hands after getting out)

While we did meet Skully J graves when he was 16, he later grew up and died from, yknow, time and age getting to him. He seems to have been VERY successful in spreading Halloween traditions. ( i can not express how incredibly dead he is due to the passage of time, that guy graduated and spread halloween spirit and died. So many centuries passed, like this guys bones are probably dust already, aint nothing left after that much time unless he managed to be buried in an environment that preserved him well enough)

Okay so now that the more canon stuff is out of the way here are some theories i have seen already pop up

He might have once been a resident of Ramshackle (he wears clothes that closely match the aesthetics and vibe of the abandoned dorm. I am unsure how likely this is but there ARE ghost of students that haunt that place and Skully used to to be a pretty lonely guy so maybe the dorm he used to live in was always a pretty lonesome place that was eventually abandoned. Also Twisted Wonderland is REALLY good about meaningful designs and placement and mentions of stuff so there could very well be something there, especially in twst jp.)

We might get him as a card but he will come visit as a Ramshackle ghost ( i do not know how likely this one is but i understand why they want this. I miss him too...)

He has been waiting for Yuu and company this whole time and when we finally came in at the right time he chucked that book at us to meet up. (this is just cute, i like it. who knows maybe he did idk but i love the idea)

Vil Schoenheit as a boyfriend

If someone wants my thoughts on another character, just hmu cause I have TWST brainworms and nobody to ramble for hours on them about. (That was barely English, but I held on and a sentence came out.)

Anyway.

Also these'll be SFW, if you want NSFW just ask.

-He's your living alarm clock for your skincare and vitamins (if you choose to take any). He makes sure you're using everything in the right order, down to remembering sunscreen. Your morning and bedtime routines are shared, for that's when you have time to talk to each other outside of the brief breaks in his schedule.

-Whenever he performs, he looks for you in the crowd, putting his entire chest into it once he sees you. Above all, not only does he want to be the fairest in the land, but he wants to be someone you can be proud of. Likewise, he encourages your dreams and aspirations, harsh as his words can sometimes be.

-On days he has nothing to do, you're his first thought. He asks you to pack your bags and it's an immediate vacation. Unless your desire is to be home, then you guys just spend the day drinking tea and talking. He loves both of these, dearly.

-Crowley doesn't do his job right, so it's frequent you sleep together. From when one confesses to the other, even, it's decided. And given he's a dormleader he isn't questioned. Between all of us though, sleeping with you is a more enjoyable thing than performing. Because of him you have a habit of frequently washing the bedsheets.

-He can't stay away from you fresh after a shower. Hair up in a towel and pajamas on? Bathrobe? Big shirt and underwear? Yes, please. You smell divine and you're extra soft. Especially no pants, be it in a nightgown or big shirt; he really likes to just lay his head on your lap. Not in a seduce-y kind of way, but just being near you.

-How much power do you have over this man? What is your secret? Grim screams, for he does not know.

I know I mostly post about our life but here’s some twisted wonderland ideas I got randomly!

-After the overblots and Yu gets closer to the overblots, they do favors for Yuu. Like Vil gives them skin care stuff, Riddle gives them some of his tarts, Leona helps Yuu with money maybe, Azul might give them a free meal, idk

-Let’s say Yuu has a kinda mental toll, from the overblots (and the fact they got taken from their world to a whole new one where they are weaker than most people around them) What if the first years have a sleepover at ramshackle to comfort them? They do standard sleepover stuff just so that Yuu can just have a sort of brain break.

-Lilia and some of the staff members acting familial towards Yuu. Like Lilia tries to feed Yuu his horrible cooking.

-Trey and Jamil making Yuu some food if they can’t afford any.

I'm sure he's had at least some type of training, also you're right, it's not like he doesn't have worries. i think he begins to mention some of his worries and troubles and ways he's trying to improve in the vdc chapter before grim interrupts him with his own complaints. He does seek to improve himself. I think this gets touched upon in several later instances. His most notable case of both improving himself and thinking ahead in my memory was when he sought rook for advice on being scary in the Halloween magicam monster event thing. He does, however, tend to try to not become disheartened by things he feels he can't feasibly do something​ about immediately like past kidnappings and attempts on his life, hence why he's so cheery despite the very real threats that can and have happened to him yet also why when there IS a problem etc then he'll try and do something about it if it's in his means. An example of him not getting down about something bad happening and immediately trying to fix it was when the bus broke down in Cloudcalling/Tamashina Mina and Kalim stepped in to help- an action that proved beneficial in the future and was key to their success as well as an excellent example of how being compassionate can be of aid.

So yes i like this idea, the headcanon would fit in with how an heir would be raised as well as how he tends to act- fixing something​ he can address and being able to let it go and move on afterwards. Plus as an heir to a merchant family, kalim will have to deal with a great number of people. He needs to be able to keep up good relations. Especially if he's going to be able to make people want to stay, to buy, to invest and to work with him. Families like Al Asim that deal with Trade and connections rely on lots of different methods and having good connections both interpersonally and through contracts etc. So Kalim's attitude is very helpful and useful, it's beneficial to be welcoming and kind while being able to address problems quickly and being able to adapt to opportunities and situations- like with the bus or being willing to seek out another- are key. And if his current methods aren't good enough or if he doesn't think they got the message? Then like with seeking rook out to learn about wolves and then utilizing his own skills to improve himself, he may turn to other resources and adapt then to his purpose. He will make sure the situation is fixed

I know Kalim is a goofy character in nature, but hear me out. He is the heir of the most powerful family in Silk City, one of the most powerful in the Scalding Sands and I think maybe of the whole world..? I don’t know, maybe I’m reading too much into that last one, but from the way the other guys talk about him it’s really like he is something else, you know?

Anyway, being an heir, like Leona said in book 6, he is learning to manage his influence. But, what if it was a game of some sort. I’m not going at it like « oh no! He is more powerful and smart than Jamil! He was just playing dumb all along! What ever will we do😩😩 » no. Not at all. The angle I’m going at is that he fakes being this naive, easy going type of guy.

I mean, people have been trying to either kidnap him or kill him since he was a kid. He doesn’t have any real friends, because everyone is either looking down on him for getting everything too easily or they want to take advantage of that fact. The only person he really considered a true friend ended up trying to kill him too.

So what does he do? Cry about it and give up on life or fake it till he makes it? He just fakes being happy-go-lucky until he tricks himself into believing he truly is and that everything happening really isn’t that bad. But behind the smile and the laugh and the friendliness, there is still the heir to the Al Asim family.

So what if at some point, during a party hosted by his family, someone says or does something that’s just… too far? His limit was reached and his smile falls from his face and he goes full on heir mode. The aura that starts coming from him is intimidating and his tone is calculated. He is the heir of the Al Asim family and apparently you needed a reminder of that fact. He starts talking about facts, laws and contracts. Starts talking about how such things won’t be tolerated, especially in his home. Starts talking about punishment and the sorts for those who will dare cross them. And so on, and so forth.

And then, he sees a friend. Maybe a guy he had invited from NRC, maybe Leona who acts as a representative for his royal family. And he gets back into his goofy self, all like « oh my god guys! You’re here! Are you enjoying yourselves right now? Is there anything you want? Anything I can get you? »

And everyone just… stares… absolutely terrified to make a wrong move or say the wrong thing. They had never seen Kalim that way and they certainly didn’t want to get on their futur colleagues bad side.

Anyway, food for thought?

Ace also used to listen to vocaloid like middle school or something.

(slight mentions of bullets / guns at the tweels part) ace n Floyd (this is like an au if the octotrio like had their potions n shit as kids ) seem like the type of kids to eat ANYTHING and everything in sight. Dirt, Sand, bugs, rocks etc. Basically i hc that as kids they used to meet up at playgrounds n used to trade shit to eat (non-edible stuff ofc). Floyd would pick apart coral, n giving it to ace to eat telling him it was a delicacy n ace wld actually eat it, n like 15 mins later he'd throw up!! Floyd n jade also have insanely sharp teeth n can bite thru most things (rocks, probably even guns and or bullets).

Cater would literally livestream anything slightly interesting (or horrifying) on insta (guinaifen refrence).

Sebek, tweels, ortho, idia, rook, ruggie, ace have all eaten weird ass shit as kids and people still wonder how they're alive.

Idia, cater, silver, Riddle all have anemia / lack iron.

Idia, cater, Riddle, jade, deuce all wear contacts cuz they have poor eyesight.

To add onto that Deuce used to wear glasses in elementary, n middle school but when he became a delinquent he dropped them (and or got contacts).

Idia makes actually creative insults in a short amount of time.

Idia owns like 3 separate closets to collect things abt his hyperfixations / special interests at the time.

Jade actually find snakes fascinating.

Floyd, ace, lilia, ruggie, kalim, like all genres all music, it really depends on their mood.

Floyd, kalim, n vil are all dance buddies.

Floyd has probably kept multiple lizards / reptiles as pets in the past.

Lilia paints diasomnias nails whenever he feels like it.

Kalim, Adeuce, Floyd, Lilia, Ortho, Idia and Epel are really good at ddr / arcade games in general !! (cherry juice go on arcade dates).

Been saying Jamil x pumpkin as a joke but turns out that might have more merit to it than i initially thought haha! Especially if the pumpkin is supposed to be Yuu!

Anyways yeah unsurprisingly the new twst guy started going insane. I mean, it's twst and every main guy/main character for each event goes nuts at some point, so it's always a question of why they do and how they do it rather than if they will. Can't wait for his tragic backstory. Babes can commit crime and still be bby.

Idk if i need to add spoiler tag since I've already added the characters name and the twisted wonderland event name. I only hesitate because i prefer just the character and event label since it's easier and Spoiler tags tend to age out really fast and some spoilers end up breaching containment anyways through the various fanmade media (fics fanart jokes) and fan talks so the difficulty of filtering this plus how there's no one specific spoiler tag to use means it can still slip by versus event tags and chapter tags.... Oh well idk. I did what i needed to and labeled it

It really helps add to the complex and wonderful nature of Sebek

I need to go through more of translations and dialogues now, because i agree with you and as this shows, he's very observant of others and quick to pick up on it however i wonder if that ability to be observant and aware of behavior and such in others completely translates to himself. I am not sure how concisely i worded that but basically now i need to try to see how much being aware of others versus being self aware of himself overlaps since we've seen plenty of characters who are extremely good at reading a room or figuring out other people but not really being able to identify their own internal emotions, problems and drives at times.

So far based on both this and the event plus other dialogues, sebek seems keenly aware of both himself and of others. Likely, Sebek having a crush would be something he'd face head on while making sure things go well and that his intentions are understood. Of course, the only things i can think that might still influence his actions in this regard might be the usual crush/in love jitters and nervousness. But so far he seems very straightforward.

Sebek and Romance: Additional Thoughts (or part two) after reading his Halloween SSR vignette and finishing the event but mostly about the vignette

- Part one - Sebek and Romance - My translation of the vignette

In my previous post, I speculated about two major influences on Sebek's understanding of romance and romantic feelings - his parents and books and I was right :)

So, what else can we conclude from this vignette?

1. Verbal expression matters

The most important takeaway is that verbal expression of feelings and thoughts is everything to Sebek. We can definitely say his primary love language is words. For him, verbalizing - both the pleasant and the less pleasant - is a must. Just. Say. It.

However, words (not only as a love language) can be tricky, as it's all about what words you choose. With physical touch, for example, it's simpler. But with words, you need to choose carefully when delivering your message. I think we've all experienced at least one uncomfortable situation caused by a poor choice of words.

And where does Sebek learn this art of wording? Books, of course.

That's why I'm amazed at how well-written Sebek's character is. His values and views align perfectly with his hobby. His emphasis on words and verbal expression, along with his being well-read, suggests he's on his way to mastering communication that aligns with his values.

2. His observant nature

The part where Sebek mentions noticing Sally's feelings for Jack actually flipped my view of him a liiittle bit. We often assume he'd be oblivious to feelings or accuse someone (like the Prefect) of “bewitching” him. But here, we see the opposite: he notices the romantic tension between Sally and Jack right away and doesn't get weird about it. So, we can assume, when the same situation happens to him, he'd likely be calm, polite, and eager to reach a logical conclusion as fast as possible, depending on how interested he is in the person.

In general, Sebek is self-aware, attentive, and genuinely smart - not just “book smart" (a little too trusting of Lilia's advice, yes, but well...) And since he knows quite a lot about romance, even if he's not “chill" about it, he would still approach his romantic feelings with total adequacy.

3. Mention of his parents

To my surprise, when Sebek mentioned his parents' story, he didn't address his father in a condescending way. He didn't even call him “human” once. This says a lot to me. Yes, Baul's influence was strong, but his mother's love and energy were stronger. He still loves his father - in his own way. His only dissatisfaction with his father is that he's human, but that's a topic for another post. They still an exemplary love couple to him and that's wonderful.

4. His admiration and loyalty to Malleus

The part where Sebek talks about his determination to stay by Malleus's side was both heartwarming and inspiring. I still hope we'll get more insight into why he's so dedicated to this idea (I have some theories, but maybe for another post).

What we see here only strengthens Sebek's character as loyal and determined. And, once again, he emphasizes how he expressed (verbally) his desire to serve. Words and verbal expression are deeply important to him. Naturally, since loyalty and devotion are core parts of his character, once the target of that devotion has earned it, one can expect similar adoration and loyalty toward his partner as well.

In conclusion?

Sebek is amazing, and he should be reminded of it every day. With words. Out loud. Just. Say. It.

Bonus point: I loooove that he has a playful side and can be so cheeky - doing it totally on purpose lol. That scene where he adds to Jack's jealousy? Sebek, you menace :)

Honestly you're so right

Jamil doesn't mind as much since you help distract kalim but also you're a source of comfort for him as well since you aren't steeped in all the twisted wonderland tomfoolery (sometimes a friends who's an outsider to the situation is a good emotional escape and a comfort, if that makes sense)
