Me: makes 2 little freaks => okay now make them ponysona designs. your autism demands it.
Ophely and Dobbin in horse world I guess. Lucid Dreams studies dream magic instead of necromancy. Spick-and-Span is a twinkle eyed pony who isn't good at magic since his horn is cracked. He's good at being a janitor, though.
#once again. horsie time#sorry dobbin your occupation was decided the moment your magic tattoo appeared#theres an artist on IG who makes ponysona designs of all different characters and their own little au and honestly? its so fun and inspirin#ive always looked at this type of thing as being a really fun and relaxing design exercise.#like how do i take x character and make them into a believable pony character while still having them be recognizable#a lot of this was also inspired by the scootertrix g1 dubs theyre so funny lmfao#posting this late at night bc i will always sadly be a little embarrassed of my horsies :pensive:#dobbin frikki#ophely somnum#ponies#silliesverse#2024#mine

Plague Times Part 2
I, your lovely unnamed host, have been afflicted with plague due to Pony Flickerman's care no less. Today's episode 17 of the Rump Design Games means we'll be taking a look at the skin crawling Twinkle Eyed Ponies. Prepare thineself.
Galaxy (aka Galaxie/Galaxia) Spirit of the Pony: 3/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 3.5/5 Ugliness: 4.5/5
From a pony named Galaxy I would expect something that would wow me. This is thoroughly underwhelming. Let's pretend for a moment that all the Twinkle Eyed Ponies aren't terrifying, there really isn't much here to comment on otherwise. I'm shocked her name isn't Dipper. Please ask the stars to stop stealing pony's eyes.
Gingerbread Spirit of the Pony: 5/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 4/5 Ugliness: 2/5
Pony Flickerman: Fuck they sure are. I mean they're ugly ass gingerbread men but they sure are. Love the titular Twinkle Eyed thousand yard stare and the Play-Doh lookin' ass cookies on her ass, but otherwise she also doesn't dazzle me. Lady Gaga's Born This Way plays softly in the distance.
Masquerade Spirit of the Pony: 4/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 3/5 Ugliness: 4/5
The fact that her Rump Design looks like a ribbon from a distance is not promising to her overall score. They disappear when you're far away too, probably because of the eye bleeding (affectionate) yellow that her body is. This isn't Shady, get the fuck out of here.
Sweet Stuff (aka Sweetie/Gourmande/Douceur/Naschkatze/Goloso) Spirit of the Pony: 3/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 5/5 Ugliness: 2/5
Pony Flickerman: Get those fuckin' toenail things outta here. I know in my heart they're supposed to be gumdrops but they really do just look like press-on nail stickers. It's bad. This is bad. Sweet Stuff I have several questions. I wouldn't trust gumdrops from the sky. War criminal.
Fizzy (aka Schäumchen/Espumita) Spirit of the Pony: 4/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 3.5/5 Ugliness: 5/5
Pony Flickerman: I thought those were ice cream cones and I was ready to send this horse to the glue factory. That won't be necessary today Pony Flickerman. I am yet again not wowed. She is adequate. I have little else to say. Underwhelmed yet again. Love the cult vibes I get from her.
Whizzer Spirit of the Pony: 1/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 3.5/5 Ugliness: 2.5/5
Pony Flickerman: I'm putting her in a glue trap. Get glued. While Pony Flickerman has an existential crisis over the state of those hats, I'll give my two cents. They're bad. Pony Flickerman wants to know what any of this has to do with the hats.
Sweet Pop Spirit of the Pony: 2/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 1.5/5 Ugliness: 4/5
This is thoroughly disappointing. Why are they popsicles when they could be suckers? Pony Flickerman is ranting and raving and in tears. Just. No.
Speedy Spirit of the Pony: 4/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 4.5/5 Ugliness: 3/5
Pony Flickerman: Those are fatass roller skates. If her teal wasn't so pale and pathetic I think it would match the orange of her body a little better. I'm not mad at the name choice to go with the Rump Design, it's quite cute even. At least her backstory explains the traumatized look in her eyes.
Sky Rocket Spirit of the Pony: 2/5 Does the Palette Fuck: 2/5 Ugliness: 1/5
Pony Flickerman: I know what they're supposed to be, but they look like spider lilies. She's bland. My grandma cooked this pony. I feel like there's a g3 pony that looks near identical to this bitch. Except the g3 pony pulled it off much better. This is underwhelm to a bland extent. That's not how fireworks work.
Final Scores Galaxy: 11/15 Gingerbread: 11/15 Masquerade: 11/15 Sweet Stuff: 10/15 Fizzy: 12.5/15 Whizzer: 7/15 Sweet Pop: 7.5/15 Speedy: 11.5/15 Sky Rocket: 5/15
Truly the pony that deserved the win the most.

i literally would die for ur aus so sorry for the barrage of questions haha
basic au- i hecking adore the idea of starswirl becoming a villain? how does this happen, whats his motive??
time travel au,, i love twilight’s design,, i would love 2 hear more abt this one,,
STARRYVERSE AUU!! what are the other mane six like?? what are the other pairings/ships?? villains?? im obsessed w this one
1. BASICALLY IT WOULD HAVE TO DO WITH LIKE… starswirl realizes how powerful the pony of shadows was so he starts intentionally seeking out vulnerable ponies and driving them into deeper despair to corrupt them and create these powerful shadow monsters
2. THANK U!! UM AND i dont know what to say specifically so heres a Fun Fact abt the au: applejack is the first pony to start helping twilight free luna! the apple family’s ancestors learned to harvest the rare zap apples with the help of (very young) luna, who knew about them since theyre like. a magical fruit that only grows at night (in this universe anyway. honestly i cant remember how they actually work) SO! the apple family has passed down stories about a kind moon princess. aj recognizes this as twilight’s luna and decides to help her
3. IM WORKING ON A DESIGN SHEET OF ALL OF THEM BUT HERES BASIC INFO ON EACH MANE 6 MEMBER AND THEIR PAIRINGS:
twilight twinkle: ive already writtwn abt her… has a crush on rosie pie for like. the first season or smthn and they start dating in the second season
rosie pie: also wrote abt her already! cute bubbly twinkle eyed pony! her best friend is her cousin apple cider
apple cider: hardworking farm pony who struggles balancing work and friends. pretty closed off emotionally for a while!! she has to deal with a pesky kirin named maple blaze who keeps breaking into the barn and setting fire to trees… though it doesnt seem like maple is doing it on purpose, so maybe cider should just talk to her…
double rainbow: wrote a bunch about her in her own post! super creative and impulsive pegasus! she gets a stupid crush on princess equinox eventually
aurora: seapony who takes the form of a unicorn! she runs a small business making clothes and accessories using shells and gems. she struggles with being a little self-absorbed but she really does love her friends. shes especially close to rainbow, as they share a love of art, although sometimes their artistic visions clash. she wears lots of eccentric outfits for every occasion. shes absolutely infatuated with rosie’s sister moonstone pie (maud) and showers her with attention whenever she can
meadowbrook: ill go more in depth in a dofferent ask but basically hes a very shy and anxious bat pony. his only friend initially is double rainbow, who he has known since childhood. hes dating rosies brother obsidian pie, who often writes flowery emo love poems for meadow
3. VILLAINS.. ok so first of all, queen solstice is the first major villain. next is discord, whos more of an unknowable eldritch entity here. theres also chrysalis (who does get reformed!) and lots of other Classic Villains.. i can go into detail abt any of em if u want

Who We Used To Be (Ray/Rose/Trevor)
As told by myself and @thesevenumbrellas tag teaming the whump in the 18+ JatP discord. Sev I swear we operate on the same braincell levels, we do be clowning. @bobbywilsonsupremacy let us know what you think of this! I know you and I both hardcore ship Raybse.
Cover was created by @thesevenumbrellas. Please don’t steal it.
This post got long so fair warning.
We wrote this in a discord server over the time span of hours so there’s some mistakes but i’m too lazy to go back and fix it all. Basically we tag teamed on a Raybse Trevor Wilson-centric whump story and can destroy a fandom with a single touch.
You’ll understand once you click the cut.
Don’t Steal Our Writing (but please reblog this to spread it around).
Trauma Time.
major whump warning
(Ren) Okay so if we're gonna be starting at 90's ot3 my children ray/bobby/Rose know that Ray is a panic bi and loves both of these humans very much with his whole ass heart.
(Ren) He takes pictures of his girlfriend and boyfriend while they’re on dates because he wants to capture the moments he was happy the most. Bobby always shed away from the camera burying his face in Rose's shoulder or leaning in for a kiss. Anyways as time goes by Ray notices Bobby's change in behavior. From being his go-happy-trauma boyf to being caught up in the music scene, often out at all hours to parties and label meetings only to come to to sleep on the couch, not even sharing the bed like he used to. It reminds Ray of the time when Bobby was grieving his boys. Ray hates it, but he loves bobby so he pushes his feelings aside to try and arrange more dates for the three of them to go on together.
(Sev) Ray waking up to only Rose in the bed and not Bobby, and it feels too cold in bed without him. So he'll try to call him, because it's 3am and he's supposed to be home and he's not. And Ray remembers what happened to Bobby's bandmates, and he can't admit it out loud but he's worried. Because what if that happens to Bobby? He knows it was a freak accident! What are the odds of it happening again?? But he can't shake that feeling when Bobby doesn't come home at night and Ray stays up all night worrying. Anyway he tries to call Bobby and Bobby doesn't answer. He'll leave loads of voicemails, trying not to be pushy because he knows Bobby doesn't respond well to that. But he's worried. He'll say "hey please call me when you get this." and then ten minutes later try again "hey just text me that you're safe okay?" He can't sleep because Bobby still isn't home. It's 5am. He has to go to work in two hours. Rose keeps telling him to go to bed but he can't.[2:58 PM]Bobby finally texts back. "I'm okay! Was playing with some friends, the gig went over time and then we went to party." Ray wants to be angry because seriously? No phone calls because he was at a party? But he knows that'll just push Bobby away more!
(Ren) And so Ray has all of these festering emotions that boil down to worry and concern at the core but he's just so scared hes losing Bobby cause he never really had his own family to begin with and then one day when Ray comes home early from a photoshoot he can hear Bobby and Rose fighting over Bobby signing the contract that says he wrote Luke's songs but Ray just hears yelling before he even opens the door with his name thrown into the mix and then he gets even more scared because what if he loses Rose and Bobby? if he lost both of them he'd be destroyed. So he doesnt knock. He doesnt go home. Instead he walks around the city until he was supposed to go home originally and he opens the door and there's a sort of eerie silence in the air.
(Sev) Trevor’s unable to shake the feeling that something terrible will happen to Rose and Ray because he's with them. His entire family were killed in 1 night because he wasn't there with them. So at first he's clingy as fuck to Rose and Ray because what if something bad happens when he's not there? What if what if what if... But as time goes on the thinking flips. Maybe it's the music industry that's the problem. It's these weird connections in his head of if he's too successful, bad things might happen. But he can't quit music like that, he can't give up on Luke's dream. He owes his boys to become successful. So instead he distances himself from Rose and Ray. That way they won't be caught up in whatever bad thing is going to happen to him. He distances himself and he waits for it all to drop. He waits for the universe to punish him again.
(Ren) And the universe punishes Bobby when the tension between him and Rose tightens so much he knows there's no going back from it but he's not admitting to stealing the songs because he didn't. He helped Luke write all of the songs more than Alex and Reggie ever did, staying up late with Luke after fights with his mom and Bobby didn’t want Luke to be alone so yeah, he wrote the songs. Maybe not as much as he claimed but he sure as hell made sure his brother wasn’t alone so that counted for something right? And it did. Until Rose kicks him out of bed because she's pissed he'd even consider stealing music and he cant tell Ray because of the NDA the label got him to sign at a party when he was drunk and the only reason Rose knows about it is because she was there when he signed the damn thing and so Bobby pulls away from Ray because isnt it going to be easier in the long run? If he doesn’t attach himself to Ray who'll just get angry at him like Rose did?
(Sev) It's the guilt that grows inside of him every passing day. They're my songs too he tells himself over and over again. But during the dark nights, three glasses of whisky in when the world is getting hazy... even he can't believe the lies he tells himself. He fucked up Sunset Curve. He fucked up his friends' memories. And now he fucked up the only good thing he'd ever had. Ray texts him nonstop. He doesn't understand why Rose kicked Bobby out and he doesn't understand why Bobby listened. Bobby can't take Ray away from Rose. He's fucked up and a terrible person, but even he can't do that. He doesn't give Ray his new address. He refuses to meet up even for Ray to give him his stuff back. All Bobby can do is hold onto Ray's sweatshirt he stole away and a bottle of perfume the same brand Rose always wears. He cradles these things in his arms and cries.
(Ren) And that's the last he sees of Ray for all of 5 years, 20yr old puppy-dog eyed loving precious ray who Bobby would run to the second Rose says its okay. But rose never does. And then Bobby meets a cute blonde and six months later the barista shows up on his doorstep shoving Carrie into his arms calling her a bastard child. Carrie is not a bastard child Carrie is his and he loves her the second he sets eyes on her and so Bobby turns into Trevor when the new year rolls around and he starts his own album. It doesn’t do as well as Luke's his first album did but it was his. And then one day Trevor signs Carrie up for dance because Trisha from first grade made fun of her for not being able to do the splits and on the way out of the dance studio Trevor bumps into Ray, a terrified looking girl clutched to his leg. Carrie doesn't miss a beat. "Hi! I'm Carrie let's be friends!" and Carrie drags Ray's daughter off and Trevor shifts awkwardly and is suddenly 17 again but Ray's eyes still twinkle like the did when they were kids and he's still wearing eyeliner so Trevor almost missed it when a flicker of recognition crosses Ray’s face and a smile quirks at the corners of his lips and he says, "hi im Ray, thats my daughter Julie. Wanna go out for a drink?" With that same mischievous glint in his eye that made Bobby fall in love with him in the first place.
(Sev) Trevor almost stops breathing. He should say no. He knows he should say no. He's an awful person. He doesn't deserve someone like Ray. He never deserved either of them. He knows that. But can't force himself to say no. Maybe it's the twinkle in Ray's eyes. Maybe it's the soul crushing loneliness he's felt ever since he left them. Or maybe it's the way Carrie and Julie are giggling in the corner like they've known each other all their lives. He says yes. The drink ends up at a family friendly restaurant with both the girls in tow.
(Ren) Rose shows up because Ray the asshole apparently texted her while he was in the car saying he met one of Julie's friend's parents and wanted to go out on a date (keeping things pg ofc) aklsdf. And when Rose does show up Trevor sees how... sick she looks. How much paler she looked than she did all those years ago how - he still knew he loved her even if she still decided she hated him.
(Sev) The mood drops quickly. Trevor wants to ask about Rose, but not in front of the kids. Ray wants to ask about their past, but not in front of the kids. Rose... Rose who holds all the answers... doesn't know where to start first. She had never regretted not telling Ray the truth. She never wanted to change Ray's perception of Bobby like that. Ray who looked at their boyfriend as if he'd hung the moon. Ray who stayed up worrying all night until Bobby came home. Ray who held Bobby through countless nightmares... But that makes the truth staring them in the face so much harder. Because she never gave Ray the choice. She realized that a few years too late after she catches Ray staring at old pictures of Bobby in their photo albums. She'd made the choice for him. And then there's Trevor... still beautiful, staring at her with so much concern her heart breaks all over again.
(Ren) The tension doesn't fly over Carrie's head like he hoped it would, she talks to Julie about My Little Pony and Pokemon and High School Musical and their mutual hatred for Trisha from school but Carrie's hand never lets go of his and he finally plucks up the courage and stretches his arm out and says "we're vegetarian for the most part, hope that's okay." And a smile quirks at the corner of her lips and she asks "for the most part?" and Trevor nods and Carrie pipes up from her seat saying "daddy hates hot dogs,” in that blatant fact kind of way kids say things without realizing how problematic it could be. It wasn’t her fault though, Trevor has yet to tell her about her uncles, about how he was in a band, about how they were going to be legends.
(Sev) Rose and Ray both freeze at Carrie's voice. He doesn't know if the girls notice, because he's too busy trying to fight back the panic in his throat. It's been a long time since anyone had brought up ... what happened. It's easy to pretend it didn't happen when his name is Trevor and no one knows him. But these two people know him. They know him more than anyone else ever has. Even the boys. The truth hits him hard at that moment. A truth he'd been avoiding for almost two decades. Ray and Rose know him better than even he knew himself. Maybe that was why Rose had been so furious with him, or why Ray continued to chase after him even months after he moved out. Trevor hides the building panic and sudden realization with a smile. "What an I say," he said as causally as he can. "I'm a picky eater." A few hours later they end up back at the Molina's house. Bobby has no idea how it happened. -No, Trevor has no idea how it happened, he scolds himself. He's Trevor. He has to be Trevor. Trevor got him this far, Trevor made the difficult choices. Bobby was the one who got his friends kill and destroyed the best relationship he ever had. Still, it becomes harder and harder to remind himself of that. To stop himself from slipping into the comfortable shoes of Bobby, boyfriend of Ray and Rose as if the past 17 years had never happened. He finds himself on their sofa, a sofa that brings back memories both good and bad... he finds himself in a familiar home, his old studio just a short walk away, his ex's giggling in the kitchen as they make his coffee the way he's always liked it without asking for a reminder.
(Ren) Trevor can remember the day he stopped drinking the coffee Ray made for him, the morning after his first fight with Rose, when he wakes up cold because Rose basically cocooned herself around Ray's body, keeping her back turned to him and as much as he wanted to reach out to Ray, to hug him and comfort him and tell him it was all going to be okay... everything was too stuffy and too tense and deciding he just had to leave because he was going to suffocate otherwise.
(Sev) He should leave, just like last time. What was he even doing here? He should take Carrie and- Then Ray's in front of him, pushing a hot cup into is hands. "The girls are playing upstairs," he says. His voice is so calm, so understanding. "We don't have to talk if you don't want to." Trevor almost laughs. Because that's so like Ray. Almost a decade without answers and he's giving Trevor the option to ignore it all. To pretend like nothing ever happened. But he can't be that selfish again. So he shakes his head. "I'd... like to talk to you... to both of you."
(Ren) And then suddenly rose is eyeing him sus but he's been putting this off for to long and honestly fuck his label because they screwed him over one too many times for him to still even consider their relationship anything other than employee-client1[4:06 PM]and so Trevor takes a sip of Ray's coffee holy shit how did go so long without it?! and he explains it. he explains everything.
(Sev) Ray doesn't speak as Trevor explains. He never interrupts or even look surprised. His face is completely unreadable. He doesn't move until Trevor's done. And then once he is, he only stands up to start pacing the room. Trevor's oddly reminded of Alex as he does so, and the memory is enough to make him flinch. "This... this is what you two have been hiding from me for so long?" he asked, voice brittle. "This is... this is what cost us... I mean..." But he can't finish. Ray just shakes his head, back to both Rose and Trevor.
(Ren) Suddenly he's seventeen again. Seventeen and a mess in Ray's arms burying his face into the man's chest finally feeling the weight of the world lift off of his shoulders and suddenly Rose is hugging him from behind, her too-skiny bone arms snaking around his chest and hugging him tightly threatening to never let him go saying "amour," and pressing a kiss to the back of his head, "amour we never stopped loving you."
(Sev)It's like no time has passed by the time he's done crying his eyes out. They're all huddled on a sofa that was always too small for three. Trevor's in the middle, clutching at them both as if they're going to disappear on him. Ray sits with his legs underneath them, his arms pulling the both of them into his chest. And then there's Rose, suddenly so much more delicate than Trevor remembers. She sits half on his lap, curled into them, her fingers knotted in his hair. "I can't believe you two kept this from me," Ray whispers. There's no anger. He doesn't think Ray's ever been capable of being angry. "I'm sorry," Trevor whispers, throat raw from tears. Ray answers with a firm kiss to his temple. "We wasted so much time..."
(Ren) Trevor just lays between them in their bed, nothing sexual and nothing tense it’s just them being together and Rose playing with his now-long hair, braiding it right down the middle despite it being too long for others to braid. Her fingers feel nice as they tug at his roots, familiar and a sense of calm washes over him. He lets ray fop on top of him like they used to, burying his head in his chest just listening to his heart beat, his steady constant breathing because Ray used to be afraid one day he'd wake up and Bobby would be dead too. Rose humming lightly, soft lullabies that chased away dark thoughts and Trevor just finds it so comforting, a feeling of home he hasn't had since the day he left and so he wraps his arms around Rose and Ray tight, promising himself he won't screw up his second time around.
(Sev) It's a few hours later when he speaks again. The girls are asleep in Julie's room (delighted at their surprise sleepover.) Ray's almost nodded off, head resting against Trevor's chest. But Rose is wide awake. She's laid out, tangled between them, eyes focused on something far away. He can see it more clearly now. The tremble in her hands, the way she's so still, the circles around her eyes. He takes her hand in his. "What is it?"
(Ren) And Trevor wants it to be a prank, he wants the sinking feeling in his gut twisting around his heart, the same feeling he had the morning of Sunset Curve's Orpheum performance coiling up his spine to go away. He wants everything to be okay, that he told the truth, that he was forgiven, that the universe was finally on his side for once but of course it's not because when has it ever been. Rose's fingers run lightly over his knuckles and Ray wraps his arm around him from behind, his hands resting against Trevor's chest, something solid for him to focus on and as a tear starts to roll down Rose's cheek he reaches up to brush it away, running his hand through her hair only to pull out a clump as he pulled away but he couldn't run when his instincts to run kick in like they always used to do when situations turned emotional, bury it in his mind and lock up his worries like he always did but this wasn't going to be something he could run from.
(Sev) Life is not the fantasy or a fairy tale. There are no happy endings, only happy moments. He'd like to say they picked up right where they left off, Rose lived until a ripe old age, and they never fought again. But he'd be lying. It was hard to fold their lives back into place again, especially with Carrie and Julie. To just pick up after their seventeen year old selves was an impossible dream. But they could do breakfast. And breakfast became dinner. Dinner became one date which became two which became many. It took trouble and care, but they slotted themselves back into each other's lives again. There were lunch dates, and movie nights. There were late night wine dates and early morning coffee dates. They found their happy moments. A decade of separation had smoothed out the rough edges. If Trevor stormed out after a harsh argument, he'd return the next day with flowers and apologies. If Rose snapped and lost her temper, she'd take herself off for a walk to cool down. If Ray was bothered by something, he'd speak up instead of pushing it all down. They found their happy moments. And when 1 month became 1 year, they celebrated with moving boxes and a new, bigger couch. When 1 year became 2, they celebrated with promise rings and whispers of a better future between light kisses. 3 years became 4, became 5, and so on... They found their happy moments. But life is not a fantasy or a fairy tale. Their story ends in a hospital. Rose dies with both her husbands at her side, with both her daughters and son clutching on her hands. She dies with a smile on her face, knowing she is not leaving them to suffer alone. Ray and Trevor grieve together.
(Ren) And this time the girls are the ones who get into the fight but Trevor and Ray are there for Julie and Carrie no matter what they're fighting over carrie told julie she liked flynn but julie said flynn was hers first and doesnt understand how she can feel squishy love for two people. And this time the girls are the ones who get into the fight but Trevor and Ray are there for Julie and Carrie no matter what they're fighting over carrie told julie she liked flynn but julie said flynn was hers first and doesnt understand how she can feel squishy love for two people. They stick to their daughters through the worst of it but they don’t let the girl’s fighting rip into them too. It’s not what Rose would’ve wanted for them, it’s not what she would’ve wanted for Julie or Carrie either.
(Sev) And when Julie plays with her ghost band, it's much earlier that Trevor recognizes who she's playing with.
(Ren) Luke’s mad at first, ofc he is but after everything is explained and out in the open Trevor finds himself at home in a building that never felt like home despite the fact he grew up in it.

Past and Present, the Book Ends of Life
Part 2
Summary: Staying healthy is the way to be, running brought him to you.
Arthur’s Note: Lyrics from Patience by Guns n Roses in italics!
He looked over at Spud, who was pale and completely out of breath. “Comon, Spud one more block.”
Gasping, he practically folded on in on himself splaying on a bench. “I can’t...I just can’t, I’ll be sick.”
“Don’t exaggerate.” He turned smiling but then he saw Spud. Running over, Spud fell into his arms. “You are as pale as my shirt. Didn’t you eat something?”
Spud shook his head no. “No, he gasped. “Wanted to burn more calories, Rents.”
“Spud, you” He made a sound of frustration, he put one of bottles into Spud’s hands. “Sip...sip this and I will be right back.” He got up.
“Where are you going?” Spud grabbed his wrist.
“Gonna grab you a nibble so you go get sick. Here take this one too. And sip, gulping will only make you feel worse.”
He jogged, half ran down the street searching. Smiling, he spotted a coffee shop. He wiped his face. Taking a breath, he headed in. So he didn’t drop horribly from the adrenaline that was rushing through his system, he jogged in place. Going to the cooler, he smiled. He grabbed some boiled eggs, some string cheese and knowing Spud both waters would be gone so he grabbed some more water.
Jogging, he put the items down on the counter. Eying the menu, he smiled remembering you. He hoped you were having a good day.
“Hey you! Are you following me?” A delightful giggle filled the air. A sliver over surprise cut through him, filling him with delight.
“No!” He gave you a shy look, as a smile spread across his face. “But, I was just thinking of you.”
You giggled more, and crossed your arms in front of yourself. “Oh really? I am so sure.”
He nodded, “Honestly, I was.” He gestured with his finger. “Do you work at this one too?”
“No.” You shook your head, and your pony tail swished. “They were short staffed so I decided to help them out.”
“Ahh.”
“What are you doing at this one, trying to make it to all the coffee shops in town?”
He shook his head. “Nah, I was out for a run with my friend Spud and he needed some food.”
“Oh! That’s why your grabbing so many eggs?”
He flushed at the four, biting his bottom lip. “Yeah.”
Your lips curled into a smirk. “So, no coffee cake?”
“Right now? Afraid not, but perhaps a shot of express with some whipped cream.”
“Oh!” Your smile grew wider and your eyes twinkled. “That’s one of my favorites.”
“You have good taste.” He delighted in seeing the expression your face took.
“I could say the same for you. I’ll go grab that.”
With a swish of your ponytail , you started to prepare the drink.
*****
He was tickled to have seen you again, he thought walking down the street. He should probably run back to Spud but he couldn’t resist, walking and sipping at the expresso and whipped cream, you made him.
“Hey, whipped cream and expresso!”
Turning, he watched as you ran up to him. Your green polka dotted dress fluttering around you.
“Hello.” Had he forgotten something, in the coffee shop, he wondered. He dug a hand into one pocket.
“I’ve never done this before.” You said, when you were in front of him and out of breath. He rather liked what your cheeks looked like as you looked up at him with your cheeks flushed. “Here.”
Juggling, his cup and his bag, he took the napkin you offered him. Looking, down he saw a number scrawled on it. He smiled at you. “Your number?”
“Yes. Call me.”
“Sure.” He smiled, broader.
******
Spud’s mouth twitched up ward as he walked up. “What’s going on with you Rents?”
Much, to his relief Spud looked much better since he left him. “Nothing, here eat a few of these eggs.” He held out the bag to him.
“Happily, but what happened my friend?”
He narrowed his eyes at his friend. “What makes you ask?”
In two bites, he finished one of the eggs. “You are completely different, Rents.”
“Nothing at all, I just had some expresso.”
*****
After getting fortified by the eggs and cheese, Spud and him managed to get in a good run. Of course, what partially fueled him was the fact that you had given him, your number.
No one did that anymore, alright bimbos who thought it was cool to cozy up to a night club owner did. But you, didn’t know any of that about him. You were this cute little thing that somehow despite the lines that etched and danced their way across his face found him attractive. He knew that he certainly found you very attractive.
From the moment, he looked at you just well, you made his heart pick up speed and you were very nice to look at. You were also a sweet smelling breath of fresh air.
Finally, they made it up the hill. A surge of endorphins shot through him.
“We did it! Spud, look what you managed to do!” He happily exclaimed.
A few moments later, they found a soft patch of grass.
“Rents, why are you back?” Spud, asked him squinting in the sun.
Rents looked out, pressing his lips together. “Simon needed a favor. And I couldn’t come here without seeing you.”
“What about Begbie?”
“He’s still locked up?”
“Last I heard.”
He smiled. “Then there is nothing for me to worry about.”
“What about Diane?”
Oh, he had not even thought of her. “Haven’t thought of her in years.”
Spud nodded.
He got up, “I smell like a horse, want to meet for another run tomorrow?”
Spud smiled. “Sure, I have all time for my friend.”
“Great.” He ruffled the sweat drenched, short shorn hair of his friend.
He queued up some tunes, and began jogging down the hill. He really pushed himself, he slowed to a jog, entering the hotel.
He jogged in place as he waited for the elevator. He pulled your number out then.
The tunes, in his earbuds began to slow a bit too.
The elevator chimed and he went in. Pushing, the button for his floor, his heart calmed in one way, but in another it sped up. His mind was racing, you gave him your number. He could this.
Was a time when I wasn't sure
But you set my mind at ease
There is no doubt
You're in my heart now
The lyrics played as he walked to his room.
Holding the napkin, he tossed his jacket onto the chair. Grabbing his phone, he dialed and held his breath.
“Hello?” Your sweet voice filled his ear.
“It’s Renton.”
“Renton?”
He pressed his lips together. “I mean, Mark the expresso and whipped cream guy.”
He caught his reflection in the mirror and made some silly faces.
“Oh, yes. Hello! How are you?”
He rubbed a hand through his sweaty hair.
“I’m great. I just got back from the run.”
He rolled his eyes, at his reflection.
“Oh, wow. You’re dedicated.” You giggle.
“I can be.” He smiled, the he smirked. “Hey would you liked to catch some dinner”
“Tonight?”
“Yeah.” He scrunched, waiting for your response.
“I’d love to. Where?”
“There’s this quaint, Indian restaurant near my hotel, Shalimar?”
“Your hotel?”
“Long story.”
“You better tell me it.” He imagined you smiling. “I can meet you in your lobby.”
“Sounds good. How about five-ish?”
“Great.”
“Alright. See you then?”
“See you, then.”
He threw his arms up in the air. “Woooooo!”
*****
He tossed his phone onto the bed and stripped down. He washed and scrubbed. It was quite refreshing.
Stepping out, he wrapped a towel around his hips. Brushed aside the steam on the mirror, he eyed his reflection. In his mind’s eye, he could see his younger self for a moment. Despite, his age as his self stared back he was happy to have his health. He looked good, damn good.
He gave himself a shave and slapped on some aftershave. He brushed and swished with some mouth wash.
Hanging, the towel to dry. He surveyed his clothes. Slipping on something he was finally happy with, he eyed the time
He looked around his room a final time, making sure he had everything. Heading, down to the bar, he’d have a drink before meeting you to calm his nerves.

Parum Stella
Summary: The three times the stars in Reggie's eyes went out and the one time they came back forever.
Pairing: So there’s referenced Willie/Alex and Julie/Luke but nothing set in stone
Warning; Angst, mentioned child abuse, depression, suicidal thoughts, there is some fluff tho, canon character death, death of grandparents
AN/ parum stella translates to little star! (i’m not fluent in latin so this maybe incorrect.
Words: 6140.
1)
The stars had always been his and his grandad’s thing. His grandad used to tell the story of when he was first born, the stars twinkled like no other as his mum and dad took him home from the hospital. It was like a new star had been born and that the stars were twinkling in celebration. Every summer from the first year he was born till just after his twelfth birthday he would spend with his grandparents on their ranch.
It wasn’t that his mum and dad weren’t unfit to be parents at that point, they just worked so much that he would always have babysitters round and when his grandparents found out they made a deal with his parents that he would spend every summer and spring break with them. His first summer he was only a few months old when he first went to the ranch, his grandmother told him a few years later that he clocked on to one of the horses and cried when they tried moving him away.
Summers were fun on the ranch, a lot more fun than it was being stuck at home in his bedroom trying to hide away from his parent’s arguments. He would spend all day helping his grandad with the animals, making sure that all of them were clean, fed and had plenty of water down. He taught him to horse ride, starting him off with an American Shetland Pony which he nicknamed Boo, when he was younger because he couldn’t pronounce the ponies full first name.
He named every single animal on the ranch, making sure to do a drawing of each individual animal on the farm, noting the differences that only he could tell on the drawings. After working on the farm all day, his grandad would bring him outside, wrapped up in his blanket with a cup of hot cocoa his grandmother had made as a reward for his hard work through the day.
They’d sit on the steps of the ranch, him curled into his grandads’ side, seeking the warmth as the coldness of the night began to sit down. His grandad, an ex-astronaut who had to retire after an injury training while he was training for Apollo 11, would point out all of the stars, passing his knowledge of the constellations and facts about the solar system and Reggie’s young mind soaked it all in.
His grandad was his best friend. He loved his grandmother to pieces, but, growing up each summer he followed his grandad around like a lost puppy. He hung of every single word that came out his older relatives’ mouth and unlike his parents who would’ve yelled at him to shut up and go away, his grandad loved it. He took him around everywhere, teaching him how to milk the cows and brush the horses correctly.
Every single time his grandad had to go to town he took Reggie with him. He was right there with his side, which helped his grandad when he was trying to sell products from the farm, because everyone loved this puppy eyed little boy that would chew your ear off if you gave him the chance to. Everyone knew him as the little assistant who arrived each summer and seemed to gleam with brightness whenever he spoke to someone, the glittering of his eyes almost matching the glittering of the stars he loved so much.
Most children his age would hate being away from their friends and their parents for that long, but Reggie thrived off it. He’d arrive back home a few days before the school term started, the brightness in his eyes seeming to be turned up to another level, full of stories ready to be told and those first few weeks he was back he was riding on a high.
Leaving the ranch was always hard though, he was so attached both to his grandparents and the animals of the ranch. He made sure in his last few days to go around saying goodbye to each and every one of them and giving them a treat. The first day he was home would be one of the saddest days of the year and both Alex and Luke, his best friends since they were in pre-school knew not to bother him on that day, he was grieving the happy atmosphere he got at his grandparents ranch and trying to prepare himself ready for his parents arguing all the time.
His biggest helpers in cheering him up from the next day were both Luke and Alex. The three of them were inseparable, having not seen each other as a three for a full summer. They spent their last remaining days before school started again with each other. They played on the beach together, they went for bike rides and traded stories of their summer, the laughter and happiness bright in their eyes.
The summer of their eighth year, they all made a pact that they’d start learning an instrument, so they could join the elementary school music programme. Reggie swapped between piano and banjo, something both his grandparents had taught him, his grandmother would play piano most of the evenings he was there and she was soon teaching him and his grandad had been playing banjo on off for years, Luke had started with piano himself, the two of them comparing notes they had from the summer together when they were reunited. Alex had started with a basic drum set, but he was killing it.
They kept developing their skills further and further as they went up to middle school, and then just two weeks before he was due to go to his grandparents for the summer between the sixth and seventh grade, his grandparents were killed in a fire at the ranch, destroying majority of the property and for the first time in his life, the stars in Reggie’s eyes died.
2)
By the time Reggie was 17, the stars were back. They were brighter than ever before. His grandparents passing hit him hard and it took a while for him to be able to look at the stars again, whenever night-time hit in the summer he would shrink into himself and go quiet. He also refused to touch either piano or banjo for two years. The memories were so tightly wound inside of him, the music flowing as he sat next to his nana on the piano, giggles flowing out of the youngest of the three as his grandfather danced around the piano, strumming the banjo.
He wouldn’t be who is now without them. It took time, but from help from Luke and Alex and their new friend Bobby, he regained his strength and was able to look at the stars once again. Stars which once again brought him comfort and a warmth in his chest, rather than the agony and heartache which blossomed across his chest for the first year after they died.
About six months after his grandparents passed away, his music teacher sat him down and spoke to him about what he wanted to, because as much as Alex and Luke had been trying to get him to play piano or play the banjo, it just wasn’t happening. He just couldn’t do it without seeing his grandparents. So, his music teacher suggested he started a new instrument. Which he did. He started learning bass guitar and he fell in love with music again.
They met Bobby when he moved schools at the start of high school. He’d been expelled from his last school for trying to protect his friend, so he joined the school not knowing anyone. The three of them ended up talking to him when they were in music and he ended up joining the friendship group. They carried on playing and decided to start writing and playing music together, even though they could only currently afford to play at school, Alex had persuaded his parents to buy him a set of drums for his birthday and they were held in Bobby’s garage and Bobby had his own guitar but neither Luke or Reggie had their own guitars, Luke’s parents refused to buy him one as they believed he should be concentrating on his school work and the one time Reggie asked his parents if he could get one, he ended up in hospital getting stitches from a glass being chucked his way.
Reggie soon managed to pick up a weekend job, babysitting Alex’s younger siblings twice a week. Only it wasn’t really a job to him, he loved hanging out with the kids, and Alex to an extent. He fell back in love with stars one October night when he was babysitting them. Alex’s younger sister Alice was fast asleep upstairs, when Alex’s younger brother Adam snuck downstairs and joined both of them sat on the porch, watching the stars, cuddled in between them both.
Adam started pointing out the different stars, which for once were visible and as Reggie began explaining all of them, he fell back in love. He pictured not that long ago when it was him and his grandad sat there, in the exact same position and It was that moment he knew, as long as he kept his love for the stars up, his grandparents memories would always be with him.
Little did he see his best friends fond gaze as his eyes lit up with happiness explaining to the youngest boy about the different constellations. Alex knew his best friend had struggled coming to terms with his grandparents passing and that he lost part of himself when they died, but as his best friend explained it all to his little brother, the passion and the part of him that he’d been lost since that horrible summer day fell back into place.
Nothing could ever bring Reggie’s grandparents back, but they could keep their memories alive. He was hooked again, and it showed. The happiness bled into his music as well and their practices became more vibrant and blooming with colour, them ignoring the fact that Reggie’s parents were arguing more than ever, that Alex’s wouldn’t speak to him unless Reggie was round babysitting, Luke’s were constantly on his back about college and Bobby’s were constantly at work.
It also got better when they surprised Luke with an acoustic guitar for his 17th birthday, Reggie had been getting more and more babysitting jobs thanks to Alex’s parents spreading the word and between him, Alex and Bobby they were able to cough up the money for it. Reggie was also able to buy his own bass guitar and they were able to start rehearsing in Bobby’s garage and attending gigs.
The happiness was flowing out of Reggie and into the other boys, expanding further when they got the call to say they were playing the Orpheum, it was hard to keep them calm in the weeks leading up to it. They just vibrated through life, it was like nothing else mattered besides that, it was the first step to the rest of their lives.
The night before they were due to play the Orpheum, the four of them clambered into Bobby’s van, the oldest of the group had got his licence first and drove them all to a field. It was late at night, but it was the best spot to see the stars. They’d organised a band night under the stars. A sense of normality before their lives changed for good.
It was rare at times to see the stars, the light pollution often hiding them from view. They’d come to this exact same spot the day Bobby got the van, the day they could really start going to gigs. Everything was going to change then, and everything was going to change now. It was everything they’d ever wanted, and it was within arms-reach.
They were laying side by side, Alex and Luke on the outside, Bobby, and Reggie on the inside, staring straight up at the stars. The soft breeze washing over them as the stars twinkled up above them and for a band who was usually so loud, it was silent. It was a peaceful silent though, the sort where you’re just enjoying one another’s company without having to start a conversation.
Reggie’s eyes were trailed on one particular star, not taking his eyes off it. “My grandad always swore we’d end up playing a gig one day.” He muttered, his eyes twinkling fondly. He could feel the others turning to look at him for a second, before turning back to the sky. “It’s like everything he ever taught me is coming down to tomorrow, I wouldn’t be who I am without him.”
The three boys around him, cuddled in closer to him, their arms tangling around each other, huddling in for the comfort they all knew. They’d been working their asses off to get to this point. Luke’s arm reaching over Bobby’s shoulder to run his hand through Reggie’s hair, from where he was cuddled into Bobby’s side. “They’d be proud of you, Reg.” Alex whispered, his hand curling around the other boys, trying to get as close as possible.
The band had always been affectionate, whether it was simple arm brushes or hair ruffling or side hugs, but it wasn’t often they got as affectionate as this. It was usually when one of them wasn’t feeling great or something had happened at home.
Luke half propped himself up on one elbow, turning to look at the three of them with fond eyes, his eyes tearing up slightly, as he looked at every single one of them. “Tomorrow. Tomorrow we’re going to play the biggest gig of career and it’s going to change everything for us, and I couldn’t imagine doing it without you guys. You’re my best friends. Each one of you is a part of my soul, my boys.”
The stars in Reggie’s eyes twinkled as tears built up in the corner of his eyes, trying to wrap his arms around his boys, trying to bring them in even closer. “I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else, you’re my family, the people I rely on the most, the people I’d go through hell and back for.” Reggie burrowed his head in Bobby’s chest, as Alex tucked his head in Reggie’s neck, Luke crowding them in even closer, so they were essentially just a pile of limbs tangled together.
Bobby leant down to press a soft kiss to each of their foreheads, he ignored the gut feeling in his stomach that something was going to happen, just not what they expected it to be. They stayed like that until it was the moment to go, curled up as one under the stars. It was only when Reggie, who was usually the one who got cold the quickest, started shivering that they detangled from one another.
Alex detangled himself from Reggie first, holding his hand out to the younger boy after he was stood up. Reggie grabbed hold of the offered hand, pushing himself up, Luke and Bobby doing the exact same on the other side. The three older boys started heading towards the car, but Reggie lagged back, calling their names softly as he stood looking at the stars still.
“Come dance with me!” He called, holding his hands out to the others with a bright grin and who were the others to deny that grin. That dopy, crooked grin that brought them so much happiness of the years. As soon as the three others were back in touching distance, he threw his head back and began to sing, a grin appearing across his face.
Home, what is it really?
Sometimes it’s a someone and not a place,
It’s that feeling of being safe,
It’s about who you’re with at the end of the day…
He began spinning the others round, throwing his arms around them as they danced under the stars, not caring that they were getting mud everywhere. His eyes shone happily as they danced around, pumping the three others up whether he knew it or not, his happiness was infectious. When Reggie was seriously happy like he was here, it showed, and it was hard to be down in the dumps around him.
He gathered the three boys close as he grew closer to the end of the song, tugging them all in for a giant hug, their heads pressed together in the middle as pants slipped through their lips, as Reggie sung the last lyric, changing it from before. “and it’s you. You’re home.” He sung softly, grinning brightly at the three others, his arms wrapped around both Luke and Bobby, his fingertips grazing Alex’s shoulder.
The four of them stood there for a few minutes, just embracing each other, and embracing their family. Before the heavens opened and drenched them. They raced back to the van, shoving each other over to try and get in the van first, before breaking out in peals of laughter, shaking the rain off them as Bobby started the van back up.
The stars shone in their eyes that night, but little did they know less than 24 hours later, a mere few hours before they were supposed to play the biggest gig of their life, their lives would change and not for the reason they were all expecting. and Reggie, whose stars had disappeared once before thought it was quite ironic, as he strained his neck trying to see the stars one last time from where he was laid on the floor, Alex and Luke who both had blood dripping from their mouths and nose, begging him to hold on, that the ambulance was on it’s way.
But Reggie knew. He knew they wouldn’t get there in time, he knew that it was more than likely his best friends would die as well. It was a shame. He couldn’t see the stars from here, and as his eyes glazed over for one last time, and the stars in his eyes died for a second time, a single thought popped in his head.
Little stars coming home grandad.
3)
If dying was weird, then being a ghost was a hundred times weirder. He died first, he knew that one for sure, but he ended up waking back up in an ambulance a few minutes after, where he was joined by Luke and then Alex a few moments after. Poor Alex had to watch them both die by the time he finally died.
After Alex died, they were transported to the black room, where he could hear Alex crying but couldn’t get to him, it was strange. Alex sounded like he was an arms width away, but Reggie physically couldn’t get to him, his arms and legs just wouldn’t move. It smelt weird in the room, it didn’t smell of death like he expected it to, but it smelt like sadness and sorrow.
Luke was on the other side of him, he could tell that much for sure, he could smell his aftershave amongst the weird smell within the room and it’s the only thing that kept him from crying his eyes out. He physically couldn’t reach Luke either. Reggie tilted his head back against the black wall, closing his eyes as he wished that Bobby was okay.
As much as their oldest member of the band tried acting like he was strong and never cried, he was one of the softest people you’d ever meet and he loved his boys more than anything else in the world and losing them had probably broke Bobby more than anything else in the world. In some ways, he was glad that Bobby didn’t come with them to get hot dogs, so that he could live a happy and healthy life, get married, become famous and do everything they ever wanted to do in life.
Being a ghost was weird. That one was for sure, being a ghost in a band where people could only see you if you were performing? Well that was just even weirder. He wouldn’t change it for the world though, he loved Julie and he loved performing. Alex was finding happiness with Willie and everyone could see that Luke was pining heavily over Julie.
Reggie, well, Reggie was just happy being at least semi-alive, sure his family home had been destroyed and replaced and he had no clue whether anyone from his family was even alive anymore. But his friends were happy and that meant he was happy, right? The truth is he had no clue, he ended up poofing around the city a lot, trying to find the best places to stargaze.
He didn’t have anyone, his best friends were busy and of course he was happy for them, but he missed them. He missed Bobby, who apparently now went by Trevor and was old(er) and had a daughter and stole Luke’s music. Sometimes, he’d just go to Bobby’s, he wouldn’t tell the others instead he’d just tell them he’s searching for his family, but he’d go sit in with Bobby. Luke wouldn’t understand, he was still too angry over everything and Alex probably wouldn’t understand properly.
He kept a smile on his face, something he’d mastered back when he was alive, if the others had focused long enough, they would’ve noticed it had become fake and that the stars in his eyes had diminished. They were just busy. They were always busy. Just like his mum and dad were at first.
One of the good things about being a ghost was that he could poof wherever he wanted to. He saw a video of the northern lights in Iceland and within two minutes of him wishing he was there he was physically there. He could lay down and watch them for hours without getting cold or needing to go inside to use the toilet or to eat.
It was at those moments when he felt the most peace, he felt free. He had nothing restricting him, he wasn’t under pressure to rehearse with the band or put up a smile when all he want to do was cry, he just got to breathe and be at peace with the same stars which had brought him so much happiness over the years.
He ran away at one point. It was not long after they first met Caleb, when they had the first shock. Alex was out with Willie, trying to understand what had happened and Luke was writing songs with Julie in the garage and Reggie just poofed on top of Mauna Kea. He couldn’t take being there anymore, there was too much sadness and too much pain and he couldn’t take it.
When he eventually went back, he’d near enough got his ass kicked by the others. He only thought he’d been gone for a few hours at max, when in fact he’d been gone for three days. Three days and his best friends had gone mental with worry, thinking either Caleb’s shocks had got him for good, or that he’d completed his unfinished business and they hadn’t got a chance to say goodbye.
His boys meant the world to him, they always had. They were his family, through thick and thin. They’d died together, just mere minutes apart and honestly, Reggie thought they were going to cross over together as well. But then they played the Orpheum and honestly, it felt like a fever dream, the one thing they’d always wanted to do, ever since they were kids messing about making music.
But everything changed. They didn’t crossover and Reggie had never been more confused. He could touch Julie now; Ray and Carlos could see him at times. (That one was a fun one to explain to Ray at least, Carlos was just happy that he could see them). Willie and Alex spent more and more time together, the drummer coming back late at night, and besides band practice, it was likely he never saw them anymore. Luke and Julie swapped between writing songs in the garage and spending time together when they weren’t practicing. It was like everyone else in the band was cracking on with their lives and Reggie, well Reggie felt like he was left in the dust.
He didn’t know anyone else and he didn’t want to bug Ray by spending all his time with him, so he went exploring. He went everywhere he could, he went to volcanos and let himself go diving in the lava, just to see what it felt like, it’s not like it would actually kill him. And after treating the lava like his own personal swimming pool because why the fuck not, he’d lay on the edge of the crater and just lay there, one hand behind his head and look up at the stars.
He didn’t see the concerned glances behind his head, after he bailed out on another plan the band had tried to organise. He didn’t see the frown on Luke’s face as they did their usual mic share and the lights didn’t shine like they did. He didn’t see the group meetings they called, getting everyone together; Luke, Alex, the Molina’s, Flynn, Willie, near enough everyone in their group. They even went as far as checking in with Bobby.
Nobody knew what was wrong with him, it’s like he’d hidden away all his thoughts and feelings, to the point where he was a shell of himself. The others were constantly concerned, concerned that he’d cross over on his own or that he’d go and join Caleb, that they’d never see him again or know what happened to him.
So, they set a plan in place. The stars in his eyes had faded again and it was their job to get them back. No matter what.
+1)
Reggie was completely oblivious to the plan his friends were putting in place. He spent most of his days wondering different sections of the Earth. He’d been swimming with penguins, he’d been to the biggest library in the world, he went to different planetariums around the world, trying his hardest to find happiness or find his way to crossover.
The thought of crossing over alone didn’t scare him anymore. Why would being alone scare him when he’d always been alone? He followed random people on his journeys, watching their lives, how their eyes twinkled when they were with the people, they cherished the most. He wanted that, more than anything else in the world.
For once in his life he just wanted to be wanted. For someone to hold his hand and tell him everything’s going to be okay. He’d always had someone else, ever since he was younger. He didn’t have his parents, but he had his grandparents and then after they died, he had the band. Only now he didn’t, and it broke his heart.
He didn’t even know what day it was at this point, the days just blended together, all into one. He’d spend a day in one country, pop home to check on the Molina’s and his boys, do band practice and then pop to another country. It was a cycle he couldn’t get out of. He didn’t want to see the pity in their eyes for Reggie, the left over one.
He popped back one Thursday evening, he only knew what day it was because his most recent follow, was an English university student, who only had lectures on a Thursday and a Tuesday. She was a fun one to follow, purely because they were in similar states, she was far away from home at university and was often pushed aside. Even though she couldn’t see him, he’d taken a soft spot for her.
The lights were all off in the garage for once, which was strange on a good day. Even if they didn’t have practice that day, the lights were usually on as at least once person was usually in the garage. But this time there was complete and utter silence and he didn’t like it one bit. He flicked the light on, blinking as his bandmates appeared in front of the piano, almost like they’d been waiting for him to come back.
“Guys?” He questioned, looking back between Luke and Alex with a slight frown on his face. “What’s going on?” Alex’s face relaxed slightly, storming towards the shorter boy, before pulling him into his arms. “You were late for the check in time.” Was the only answer the taller boy gave, shoving his face into the younger’s hair, taking a deep breathe in to confirm that he was there.
Reggie felt another pair on arms join in on the hug, a somehow warm body pressing himself into his side. The three of them just standing there in the middle of the garage, not wanting to release from the hug. Alex was the first to step back, wiping his face roughly, to rid himself of the few tears that had dripped down his face.
Luke didn’t let go of Reggie that easily, he broke the hug only to wrap his arm around the slightly younger boys’ shoulder, bringing him to sit down on the couch, between Alex and himself. The tension between the three of them was almost unbearable, both Alex and Luke turning slightly towards Reggie, both of them having a mental battle about who would start the conversation first.
In the end, Luke just went for it, grabbing onto one of the younger boys’ hands and linking it with his own. He gave it a tight squeeze as he began to speak. “I don’t know what’s been going through your head recently, Bug, but you need to let us in.” Alex took his right hand in his own and repeated Luke’s actions, while still giving him space, not wanting to overwhelm him.
“We know you’ve been travelling, Reg, but we miss you.” Alex whispered, like if he spoke too loudly it would disturb the peace within the garage. “It feels like we haven’t seen you in weeks and every time we try and speak to you, you pull away a bit further.”
Reggie just continued looking at his feet, knowing that the moment he looked at the two boys surrounding him, he’d open his mouth and let everything he felt slip straight out of his mouth. Unluckily, he didn’t have that option, Luke used two fingers to lift the others chin up, looking him straight in the eye. Those wide hazel eyes, which could have him spilling his secrets in minutes.
“You’re not okay. Don’t try and tell us you are, because we know you’re not and we want to help, Reg.” They were pushing, but not pushing enough to overwhelm him and it was at that moment that Reggie realised just how well his best friends knew him. They always had known him better than he knew himself.
Reggie took a shuddering breathe in, not that he actually needed to be able to breathe, but more to prepare himself for the fact once he started talking, he’d never stop. His emotions were so tightly wound inside of him and as Alex used to say, he wore his heart on his sleeve. He tore his eyes down to his lap again and Luke let him, instead waiting for the younger boy to start.
“I just, I feel so along at times.” He whimpered softly, bringing his knees up to his chest, resting his chin on his knees, as he felt his best friends shift a little bit, to squish him between them. “Alex has Willie and you have Jules and I just, I missed my best friends. I love Julie and Willie, I really do and I’m glad they make you happy, because that’s all I’ve ever wanted in life, for you two to be happy and to find peace in your lives.”
The tears which had been brimming in his eyes for the past few minutes had started to drip down his face and into the material of his jeans. “I just, I got so used to being the person that nobody wanted, my parents didn’t want me, you guys didn’t want me and that you guys were happier without me.” He took a shuddering breath in, refusing to look at either as he uttered the last words, tears dripping down his face even heavier.
“I thought you’d be better with me gone.”
The two sudden intakes of breathe would haunt Reggie for the next few weeks, the shock and horror behind them, as both the others tightened their grips on his hands, before Alex knelt down Infront of him, the blondes eyes tracing across his face, before pulling him into a tight hug, pressing Reggie’s head into his neck.
“Don’t you ever, ever fucking say that.” He whispered harshly, tears dripping down his own face. The horror was visible across Luke’s face as he stared at the two of them in disbelief. “Our lives wouldn’t be worth living if you were gone. We’ve been in this together from the start, us three against the world, way before Bobby, way before poisonous hot dogs and ghosts and crushes.”
Luke who had remained quiet since the admission, tangled his arms around them both. “You’re never alone, Bug. You’ve always got us, you’ve always had us, and you always will, even after we’ve crossed over, we’ll always be together, even if we’re apart.” The three of them were crying, the emotions they’d all had bundled up since they died coming loose and open.
“I love you guys.” Reggie whispered, his eyes twinkling, even with tears streaming down his face, the stars were back, still a bit faded, but they were back. Just like they liked.
“We love you too, more than you would ever know.” Luke nuzzled Reggie’s head, pressing a soft kiss to the younger boy’s forehead, before Alex repeated the action to both of them. The three of them stayed there wrapped up in each other, taking comfort in them all just being there, being with one another.
One by one they fell asleep, still tangled together. For that night nothing could disturb them. Julie woke them up after she got home from school, running and diving on them, wrapping her arms around as much of the three ghosts as she could manage. She’d been worried sick the night before, but both Alex and Luke had sent her to bed just before midnight when she could barely contain the yawns escaping her.
It was at that moment that Reggie knew he was home. He always thought the stars were his home, after all, they’d brought him so much comfort and joy over the years, but, at that exact moment, he knew they were his home. Julie who helped bring music back into their lives, to achieve their goals. Willie who made Alex the happiest that Reggie had ever seen, who helped him accept his own sexuality as well. Flynn, who would constantly keep them happy and entertained when they were down. Carlos who Reggie adored like a little brother, that he’d do anything to keep the smile on the young boy’s face. Ray, who he loved like a dad, who loved his little brother and sister like his world depended on it.
Luke, joyful, precious, happy Luke. His best friend, the boy that would protect him from anything if he had the option. Luke would walk through fire if it meant that the people, he loved were happy. Alex who would constantly crack them up laughing with his sarcastic comments, but loved with his whole entire heart, that took care of them when they were sad or feeling down, who had plasters and bandages in his bag, ready to take care of them if their dumbasses got injured again. Bobby, who even though he stole the bands songs, was one of the kindest people you’d ever meet, he lost everything the day the three of them died and still carried on living, when most others would have given up.
He loved them.
And they loved him, more than he would ever know.

So, it was no surprise when Reggie crossed over a few weeks later, the stars in his eyes glittering brightly, as he hugged his best friends, told Willie and Julie to take care of his boys, waved at Flynn, Carlos, Ray and Bobby. He went covered in his best friend’s love, he could feel Alex’s arms around his waist, Luke’s around his shoulders. He went knowing he was loved that he’d never be alone, no matter what. It was that moment, Reggie Peters found peace.
Little star went home for one last time.

The artwork from yesterday’s reel. I’m not ready to call it done because I want to give her a parrot, but so far I really like it 🥰Drawing one my favorite original My Little Ponies as a cute human gal. (I plan to stick a bird on her shoulder, if her looking up seems random) don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned/admitted it on here before but I have a modestly massive collection of mini mares the the point I have a room in my 2 room apartment dedicated to the wee plastic beasts. Mostly G1/ponies from the 80’s as I’m from the leighties but I love all the gens (yes, even 3.5). — anyway Mimic is a rather popular pony and I completely understand why, she’s got such a unique colors scheme. It can be hard to tell as many have sun faded to white, but originally she’s this very pale, yet almost neon green. She was only ever in one episode of the show IIRC and in it golden horseshoes were used to help save her so I made sure to put one on her necklace. I was planning to give her normal eyes with just the little dermals as a nod to her twinkle eyed status but changed my mind. Fun gross fact from the comics that never made it into the cartoon, the twinkle eyed ponies were a group of ponies captured by the Jewel Wizard who forced them to live underground digging up gems for them. They would go blind from the darkness so the Jewel Wizard replaced their eyes with magical gems that allowed them to see again… I wish I was making that up🤣 #mylittlepony #mylittleponyfanart #g1mylittlepony #mylittleponymimic #mlp #mlphuman #mlphumanized #vintagemylittlepony #mimicmylittlepony #mlpmimic #mylittleponyart #mylittleponyg1 #mylittleponyequestriagirls #mlpart #digitalillustration #digitalart #cuteart #cutegirlart #twinkleeyedpony #procreate #procreateart #wip #drawing #digitaldrawing https://www.instagram.com/p/CTnZpXGvU3d/?utm_medium=tumblr

At last, it’s here, Part 2 of the hour long Season 2 finale of svtfoe. It all happens here, truths are revealed, danger creeps in and hearts break as we dig our graves for the finale that really made us all starcrushed. Say your prays after the review please:
*Starcrushed-We begin with the end-of-the-school-year party at the Diaz’s house (Okay, I gotta say this, the Diaz’s are like hella popular in Echo Creek, I mean, from “The Other Exchange Student”, they were known to take in foreign exchange students, in “Hungry Larry”, they are known to have a haunted house attraction, in Marco’s Live Chats, Mr.Diaz is in charge of the the school marching band (much to Marco’s annoyance), and now, here, they host a party for the whole thing! These people sure do get involved with the community, huh) where Star and Marco are avoiding each after the big reveal from “Face the Music”.
Star tries to act like everything’s okay and Marco tries to hang with Jackie, but it was too awkward for them to do, so Star calls up her squad for an emergency meeting in her room. She tells them everything that happened and how they all knew about her crush on Marco (seriously, who didn’t? I mean, the fandom even knew when we only saw the previews from the beginning! I was surprised that Starfan13 was a shipper though, I thought she was jealous of Marco from her Live Chats for being closer to Star, but then again, Starco is the popular ship). To keep her mind off Marco, they take her to a dangerous roof top where the bad kids are.
While that’s goin’ on, in Mewni, Moon and the Magic High Commission burst into Ludo’s castle and confront about the spellbook and Moon takes back the wand. Ludo (as he’s in his normal self and idk why Toffee isn’t controlling him) reveals that the speelbook and Glossaryck are gone and that the wand doesn’t work anymore. The commission look around for the spellbook and Glossaryck while Moon stays with Ludo to have a heart to heart about his family and how she’s concerned as much as his brother Dennis is. Moon is really shaping up to look at monsters in a different light like Star is since both are on slightly civil terms with monsters and now wish to help them. Looks like they share something in common after all.
Back on Earth, Star isn’t feeling the party mood until she sees Oskar Greason! Her “crush” form the beginning. He got a hair cut which now shows off his ✨💙BIG BEAUTIFUL BLUE EYES!💙✨I’m a sucker for blue eyes (If you’re wondering where this guy has been since, idk? “Star on Wheels”? He dropped out to pursue his music career) and her friends encourage her to talk to him. He reveals he always thought she was cool (if you’ve been paying attention, he’s been playing “Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star” on his keytar) and how he’d like to hang out with her in the summer since now Marco will be too busy with Jackie to do so. Star agrees, but she still feels awkward around him (idk if it’s cuz of her lost feelings for him or cuz it’s “still there”). Marco isn’t doing so hot either as his relationship with Jackie seems to be disconnected (it’s like he said in “Sleepover”, he doesn’t know why he likes Jackie other than the fact that she’s cool and pretty, but wants to get to know her, however, after what happened with him and Star, he doesn’t know what to think now), Jackie was, as always, chill with it and wants the whole summer to work on it (how cool is she? Huh?).
Over at Mewni, Lekmet finds the spellbook only for them to find out it’s a decoy and when they find Moon………SHE’S DEAD! HOLY SHIT! SHE’S DEAD! WAS SHE DEAD!? IDFK!? HER EYES WERE BLACK AND HOLLOW SO WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU!? Now I know why Toffee wasn’t possessing Ludo upon their arrival! It’s so he can pull a surprise attack and then he forms Ludo’s hand with the wand making it a part of him! Don Don Don! The commission fights off Ludo/Toffee (l’m gonna address him this way now), Rhombulus with his crystallizing, Hekapoo with her teleporting and clonning, Omnitraxus with his power punches, but Ludo/Toffee overpowers them all and drains out their powers! THE GUY’S AN EVIL GENIUS! Lekmet saves everyone by restoring their lives (his last being Moon), but with the cost of his own. The guy turns to dust! R.I.P. Lekmet :’(.
After Moon was restored, she fights off Ludo/Toffee in her mewberty form from “Game of Flags” and as badass as she was, it wasn’t like years ago in their first battle as Ludo/Toffee is now stronger and powerful then her, so she ends up rescuing her friends and before leaving, Ludo/Toffee says he’ll be coming after Star for his finger! Don Don Don! (if you guys remember, it’s still with Star in her secret closet). S*** just got real.
To conclude this, Star returns to the Diaz’s and she and Marco finally talk about their situation. They settle this by agreeing to stay friends and have fun in the summer together, but when Marco asks if Star does have a crush on him this is what she says……………………………………………………………………………………No. REALLY!? THAT’S YOUR ANSWER STAR!? NO!? AFTER ALL YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH TOGETHER!?:THE MONSTER FIGHTING, THE SPELLS, THE NEAR DEATHS AND YOUR FRIENDSHIP THAT’S WHAT YOU SAY!? The Truth or Punishment box will say otherwise! And that thing NEVER.LIES! It may have been cool with them, but geez! (groans).
(sighs) So Star heads to her room and finds her mother there where she tells her she needs to return to Mewni now! Star get’s upset as this is deja vu from the first episode where Star had no choice, but to come to Earth and now she has no choice, but to leave it. She says she wants to stay to hang out with her friends as she’s grown to fix her problems now (a.k.a. avoiding them) and that she can be herself here, but Moon tells her it’s cuz Toffee is back! With that said, Star realizes this is a bigger problem then she’s faced.
Star interrupts the party and gets Marco’s (and everyone’s) attention and tells the truth………………………………………………………………………………..SHE DOES LOVE MARCO! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I KNEW IT! PONY HEAD KNEW! THE FANDOM KNEW! WE ALL KNEW IT! We’re half way there on Starco! Star didn’t wanna say anything as she knew Marco has eyes only for Jackie and thought if she ignored her feelings (like she did with her problems) that’d go away, but like Selena Gomez sang, “The Heart Wants What It Wants”. The sad part is, Star says she’s leaving……………………………………………………………………………………..forever! She tearfully says good-bye to everyone as she runs back to her room and Marco chases after her only to be too late as she’s gone and so is everything that was magic in the house.
……………………well, that’s it. It really hit it in the feels there. I mean, It was so tragic even the end credits were just a silent shot of the Diaz house! Star does have a crush on Marco and now the whole world knows, Toffee is back and stronger then ever and it left us all wide eyed and jaw dropped! But what’s gonna happen!? What was Marco gonna say!? Is he gonna go after her with those dimensional scissors he has? We’re getting a Season 3 in the summer and there’s SO many things that are unanswered:”What’s Ludo/Toffee gonna do? Where's Glossaryck? How is Ludo’s family gonna be? What’s the Butterfly family gonna do? When’s Esclipsa showing up? What’s Ms.Heinous up to? Is the Magic High Commission gonna be okay? Especially Lekmet? Is he really dead? AND WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN TO STAR AND MARCO!? IDK!? All’s I know is I’ll be back in the summer with my reviews (idk if you guys like reading these or not) and i’m adding pictures next season. Well, good-bye then, hopefully it’ll all work out in the end and we can continue showing our love and support for the show, by watching it and going fandom crazy about it. See ya.
