The caffeine addiction was obviously a mere observation, one the team enjoyed picking on relentlessly, as if none of them had their own little quirks, but as usual, she never said anything, only continued to sip her cup of coffee. They seemed to have gotten to Naoto’s usually frigid heart, and today, instead of coffee, some kind of tea.

Kazuki’s resolution towards the team had been to judgmentally stare and glare less, but she knew it wasn’t going to last long, because the team were a brigade of morons whose ideas were sometimes decent, but only sometimes.

“I’m not saying anything. Just wishing you luck.” Then she took a sip of guilt free coffee. “Don’t take my coffee to be some kind of remark. I’m only enjoying it, savoring it, if you will.”

Background:

James was born to a middle-class family who all seemed to do well for themselves, it would all be turned upside down when the family home was broken into and his family murdered, he was the only one left alive. Raised by the local orphanage he was eventually adopted by his grandfather who with many bribes sent him to boarding school in London once he was old enough, he saw a chance to gain from James, not a chance to love. Whilst at boarding school although he hated the experience and found it extremely difficult to mix with others he did learn all that he could, he had known from a young age that his grandfather wanted something from him and he was determined to be able to turn it all in his favour, it was only fair. Making a few connections to the wealthy whilst he was there he left with enough to be able to get into a decent job as well as potentially start a business of his own, yet he had other plans.

Having met a rather mean set of twins who had an interest in smuggling illegal goods as well as acting as a service provider to the criminal underworld he had dug his way into their lives and become their best friend whilst feeling nothing for them in return, Jim had always been good at hiding his true feelings and making people see what he wanted them too. Whilst agreeing to help run his grandfather's funeral business which was a debt-collecting business for those who sought to buy what they couldn't afford he also assisted the twins. As time passed the twins wanted to push him out of the deal, wanting more money for themselves. For even thinking they could do this he arranged a boating accident in which they were both stranded in the middle of the ocean and never found. It was soon after this that his life would change forever.

During a visit to his grandfather, he would find his body at the bottom of the stairs, his face frozen in a terrified look. He soon found himself knocked out unconscious, he wouldn’t wake for hours later, a burning bite mark on his hand. Groaning in agony he had crawled slightly around the basement he had been left in, the one responsible for his pain only coming to check on him when he had heard James trying to find the strength to move towards the door. The vampire revealed himself and told him that his grandfather had asked for eternal life in return for keeping his secret and whilst the vampire had promised him this, he had seen how he had treated James, the vampire saw much in common with him and had decided to change him instead. His first kill was brought to him by his creator, and after that, with time they would hunt together, this was how things went on for almost a year, the time when he learned all he needed about the vampire world as well as his gift.

His creator had the ability of being able to make another see his memories of his choosing, James had instead reflected his ability, making him see his own visions whilst James was unaffected, with time he would learn more. Whilst James pretended he was pleased with his new life and played the role of the grateful newborn he was far from it, it reminded him too much of his past, not being given a choice. Knowing he wouldn't have long until his newborn strength left him whilst reflecting the visions of the other he destroyed him before he even realised it, burning the other so they could not reform. Knowing what the other had told of vampire clans, became a nomad, travelling the world, living by his own rules and feeding on any human prey available. Only once has a mortal's blood sung to him, after that experience, he yearns for it to happen again. James prefers to live as far from human civilisation as possible to avoid attention, although from time to time he will be amongst them to either track down prey or to gather information.

when the twins were infants, an assassin broke in and tried to murder the prince and princess. the maid looking over them fought them off until chiyo and hien arrived, but tsuyumi had been wounded with a scar across her eye. thankfully, they were otherwise unhurt, but tsuyu feels (as she ages) that this scar has made her ugly, despite her parents' reassurances.

It wasn't that riveting to be invited to a beach outing, especially considering her... situation of hiding her gender like a magician was able to hide the props they used to amaze people. At least she didn't get that much of a pushback from the SEES and the only explanation she'd given was "sexism in my work area". She wasn't an insecure loser like that and had some backbone in the end: a worthy Shirogane had to have that quality to succeed.

The so-great challenge proposed by Junpei was amusing to follow, mainly on how he was overcompensating in being a ladies' man - and she knew how he'd fall apart like a house of cards if you went for his weakness - and it was a reason to stick around and chitchat with others. At least she tried unlike the other Wild Card.

On one hand she did need a small break from people to have energy to deal with the whole "meeting Mitsuru Kirijo's father" thing later and she was curious if there was other reasons behind her seclusion. That, and she did need to keep an eye on her as a part of her deal with Mitsuru. If she was able to build an actual acquaintanceship with her, she would be closer to her enemy and maintain a facade on being on her side.

...mission "Befriend Kotone Shiomi enough to get information" is a go.

The subtlety of leaving the more crowded areas worked better than she'd assumed and at least the approach method didn't sound too fishy. "Shiomi-san. Do you mind if I joined you for a moment? The company of others got a little overwhelming for me and it'd feel idiotic for me to isolate like a rude person."

Kotone wasn't an avid beach goer. She had mostly stayed in Iwatodai. Hot days were typically spent inside in the shade. It's not like she took family trips... not that she remembered at least. But the entire dorm was going. All a gift from Princess Kirijo. You know, after signing them up for extra classes. Bitch.

In any case, she was here now in a new bathing suit. She didn't foresee anything happening. Apparently they'd meet Mitsuru's father later that night. Today was for the beach. Kotone wasn't with the others. She found her own stretch of beach. Maybe a bit anti-social, but she didn't feel like hanging around with everyone. She used the excuse of not wanting to ruin things for the group.

So here she was, laying on her own towel and lazily watching the clouds roll by.

Gravity Falls seemed like a boring place until he found a mysterious book in the woods, the pages filled with the secrets of this strange town. FAMILY HISTORY: Night was never favored by the gods. At least, this is what he claims. He wasn't entirely wrong as one god, Aphrodite or the entity that embodied this powerful being hold grudges against Night.

When Psyche was reborn for her punishment, she was given a new identity and a huge baggage in the form of her former family who instigated her rebellious and malicious acts against Eros.

Psyche who was known for her beauty now had a twin and she was reborn in a form of a human man. The gods said that with a duplicate, Psyche couldn't boast about her extraordinary beauty anymore because she looks exactly like another being.

But still, Psyche had an advantage over Night; Psyche a mortal turned to goddess had kept her charm. In her new body and life, she was more popular than any of her siblings, most especially her twin Night.

When the twins were born, they were immediately compared to night and day and got their nicknames that way. Although both twins were fair in complexion, Day appeared to have fairer skin. And due to the culture's colorism, comparisons fed favoritism within the family.

Night developed insecurities and had issues with confidence. He worked as a mechanical engineer during the day and once midnight hit, he's a broadcast jockey who goes on live to entertain subscribers. This job appealed to him as he was able to distance his true self to the character he plays. He wore a mask and hid his face meanwhile letting thousands of people adore his body and what he can do with it. None of the people related to him in his private and professional life know this side of him.

Night got into adult entertainment online when he heard some students at his old university talked about it. He has been a broadcast jockey for the last three years but only really delved into adult entertainment this recent year.

ROMANTIC HISTORY: Night never had a proper relationship although he tried in the past. He was cheated on and they always preferred his twin brother, Day. There were several people who tried to get with him to get closer to Day.

Although in his past life, Night was said to be very jealous of Psyche but in this lifetime, Night for whatever reason just feels embarrassment when he's around his twin. He doesn't resent Day and missed the times when they were really close. He tried to avoid Day even when he goes home to visit their parents. But since they both live in Bangkok, there are still times when they cross paths.

Night is not entirely without his own successes but as the curse/punishment follows him, there were mouths that talked about him stealing the spotlight from Day.

PLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS: Night is good friends with Zero; they sometimes ride bikes together. He likes that Zero cannot speak the way people like him speak - not that Zero has a problem expressing his thoughts - but he appreciated that he can just be quiet around Zero and not have to deal with 'sorry' and 'are you okay' comments. Although, he always thought that Zero never really felt bad for him and treated him like another person struggling with family issues and inner demons. Zero also never treated him special and that his flaws are all his and no one caused them and could be blamed for them other than his own way of dealing with his situation. It makes him forget that he does have that shadow that follows him around that he can't shake off. Anyway, he enjoys Zero's company and often times, he accompanies Zero on photography trips. They usually ride their bikes to locations.

Here are some notable changes I've included through threads with others: Toji is brought to Jujutsu High and gets healed by Shoko. Gojo gets in contact with Yuta in the beginning to discuss about Yuji and Sukuna. It's established that they will feed Yuji the fingers one by one so that he adapts to Sukuna. The plan is to dent Sukuna's power enough to weaken him and eventually have him separated from Yuji. Gojo lets all special grades be in the know about the situation for greater reliability and maximum security against threats. Gojo is able to save Nanami and takes him to Shoko.

arista was born the oldest of the mckinnon twins - barely, but it counts, which she gladly reminds alanis of every chance she gets. the mckinnon's, since their tragic almost demise back before the first war ended, had become well-versed in infiltrating death eaters throughout the years, that by the time arista and alanis were born, there were already a few aunts and uncles embedded deep within the ranks of death eaters. could not tell you who they are though.

she was generally a soft girl, at least arista let everyone perceive her that way, it was easier to do what was expected of her than argue with her parents; even if half the time arista wanted to scream obscenities at the world and watch it burn. 

because of their skills in espionage and infiltration, the mckinnon's were considered fundamental to the order's foundation once going underground and it's remained that way ever since. while not well known; the deaths of her parents and brother at some point in her life had been a devastating blow, three deaths arista still carries around with her to this day. 

was sent into hogwarts with lorcan and her twin alanis to gather information through the children of prominent leaders in the death eater circle, arista always being one step ahead, had gained the attention of one certain blonde haired malfoy despite having loyalties to the other order aligned children in hogwarts ; with none other than her fast-paced wit and snappy attitude. fr she had no trouble calling out his ass for being wrong. 

at some point in her duration at hogwarts, it seemed her part of the infiltration plan had worked ; arista was slowly but surely feeding back tidbits of information back to the order, no matter how little it seemed. it seemed like their plan was working a little too well, perhaps. 

what wasn’t part of the plan was arista slowly pulling away from her twin sister and her best friend ; the two other people vital in their mission to succeed, however arista would constantly assure them that she was still theirs. arista wouldn’t ever leave her family - not after her parents death. right? 

after graduation, the friends and family arista had left behind were expecting her to come back, and yet she had stayed behind due to her being deeply undercover with scorpius’ and his friends - and in merlin’s sick twisted mind ; they had become her friends too. by this point arista was used to playing the best of both sides, growing comfortable in the way she teetered along the edge of good and evil.

since graduation arista’s slowly been making her mark within the death eaters, but not enough so that her name would arouse suspicion within the order; arista still relays information… that’s been seemingly lackluster lately, but she’s still helping, right? anything for the order, right?

|| I've been moving all of my headcanon posts to this new blog, so here's the post about my Ithaqua headcanons~ I need to revisit some of these, I think, now that more lore has been released about him.

To start with, I think his mom is still alive XDD His info says “And as for his real name, perhaps the only person left in this world who knows it can no longer call out for him”, which probably is referring to his adoptive mother. So I bet she’s alive, he’s just distanced himself from her.

He got the idea of being Ithaqua from his favorite book as a child. HE IS NOT ACTUALLY ITHAQUA FROM LOVECRAFTIAN MYTHOS. There is an actual Hastur and Yidhra in this game, true, but he is not like them. He’s just a human.

His story happened very recently, and he’s actually still alive. Idk how he has his powers, but he is perfectly alive and is completely human. The black scleras are part of his mask–his eyes are actually completely normal. However, no one has any way of knowing that. He seems inhuman, so unless you’re like Hastur or Yidhra (or you literally see him put on his mask), no one should know that he’s just a human.

“Ithaqua” has two different personas. “Ithaqua” is just as he seems in-game. Manic laughter, crazed grin, bloodthirsty and enjoying the thrill of the hunt. However, “Eirwyn” (after the thing with his twin) is very quiet, dark, and reclusive. As a hunter, he has fully discarded his “human” side, Eirwyn, and has completely devoted himself to being the creature Ithaqua. You won’t see the “Eirwyn” side ever, most likely. He might as well be a monster like the other hunters because he has lost all of his humanity. However, in a survivor verse or in his genshin verse, he still is connected to “Eirwyn”. In his genshin verse, he still takes care of his mother and thus must have both personas. When he is dressed as Ithaqua, the Wind-Walker, he is a ferocious beast that is to be feared. When he isn’t wearing his disguise and mask, he is drastically different.

Ithaqua HATES his face. His appearance is tainted by the horrible deeds of his twin, so now seeing his reflection twists his stomach into knots and makes him want to shatter the glass. You will NEVER see him without his mask, and even when he’s alone, he’ll most likely keep the mask on just because he can’t stand his face.
